Introduction of overview dissertation
The thessis studies the most significant critical success factors in
effective project management in different organizational conditions.
•The purpose of this study is the management of two investment project
and change in project management over 10 years period is to
investigate and analyze the status and significance of investment
management system in implemetation of partnership investment project.
• The second articles examines project management effective-ness in
project oriented business organisation, The aim of study it to
investigate the effectiveness of project management in term of
organizational structure, technical competency, leadership ability and
characteristics of an effective project manager
• The third articles documents the success of project in different
organizational conditions. The main purposeses to evaluate critical
success/failure factors in project management and to examine the
relationship between critical success factors and organizational
background variables.

project to handled 2 project

Environmental Scanning
1. Organizational structure
Gobeli/Larson (1987), matrix organization take the form of functional,
balanced, and proejct matrix. Turner (1998) found that project
matrix was selected 64% of cases. Most organisation in multi
project context are matrix organization. Project anagement
environment in a multi project context and in project driven
organization was noticed to be an area where project management
theory does not provide sufficient support.
2. Technical competency
Base on surveys of PMI (Project Management Institute) members,
project management software commonly used such as Microsoft
project. In general project manager seems to be satisfied with the tools
available, even if they are not using to them to their intended capacity,
For example earn value as quantitative approach to evaluating the true
performance of project in term of both cost deviation and schedule
deviation.
3. Leadership ability
Zimmerer and Yasin were asked about the factor contributing to
effective project manager, its transpired that positive leadership
accounted for almost 76% of project success. Condition during project
management base on project manager own experience as (1)
Motivation (2) Group dynamics (3) Clear goal (4) Selection of people.
Leadership definition it is assumed that leadership involves a social
influence process whereby intetntional influenced.
4. Characteristics of effective project manager
Leadership is measured by quesionnaire called the managerial practice
survey (MPS) Four general type of activities, making decision,
influencing people, building relationship, and giving seeking
information. In this study the characteristics of an effective project
manager were measured by the Managerial Practice Survey (MPS)
5. Critical success factors in project management
The concept of project success has not been well-defined in project
management literature. There is evident need to analyze organizational
arrangement, technical competency such as project management tools
and methods, leadership ability and carracteristics of effective project
manager
Alternative Course of Action
The researcher addressing project management effectiveness and the
success of the project in different business organizational condition
include the following themes:
1)Organisational structure
2)Technical competency
3)Leadership
4)Characteristics of effective project manager
5)Critical success factors in project management
Best Alternatives
• The result indicate that organizational design is associated with
project management effectiveness, The project matrix and project
team based organisation are the most effective.
• When measuring characteristics of an effective project manager by
means of the leadership behaviour of fourteen managerial practice.
The result suggest planning/organizing, networking and informing
are the most significant managerial practice.

Recommendation
• According to this study, planing/organizing, networking and
informing are the most significant managerial practice in the
ledership behaviour of the project manager.

manager, organisation type had relationship with subcontractor and
weaker relationship with cient.

Introduction of overview dissertation The thessis studies the most significant critical success factors in effective project management in different organizational conditions. •The purpose of this study is the management of two investment project and change in project management over 10 years period is to investigate and analyze the status and significance of investment management system in implemetation of partnership investment project. • The second articles examines project management effective-ness in project oriented business organisation, The aim of study it to investigate the effectiveness of project management in term of organizational structure, technical competency, leadership ability and characteristics of an effective project manager • The third articles documents the success of project in different organizational conditions. The main purposeses to evaluate critical success/failure factors in project management and to examine the relationship between critical success factors and organizational background variables.

  • 6. Environmental Scanning 1. Organizational structure Gobeli/Larson (1987), matrix organization take the form of functional, balanced, and proejct matrix. Turner (1998) found that project matrix was selected 64% of cases. Most organisation in multi project context are matrix organization. Project anagement environment in a multi project context and in project driven organization was noticed to be an area where project management theory does not provide sufficient support. 2. Technical competency Base on surveys of PMI (Project Management Institute) members, project management software commonly used such as Microsoft project. In general project manager seems to be satisfied with the tools available, even if they are not using to them to their intended capacity, For example earn value as quantitative approach to evaluating the true performance of project in term of both cost deviation and schedule deviation.

Leadership ability Zimmerer and Yasin were asked about the factor contributing to effective project manager, its transpired that positive leadership accounted for almost 76% of project success. Condition during project management base on project manager own experience as (1) Motivation (2) Group dynamics (3) Clear goal (4) Selection of people. Leadership definition it is assumed that leadership involves a social influence process whereby intetntional influenced. 4. Characteristics of effective project manager Leadership is measured by quesionnaire called the managerial practice survey (MPS) Four general type of activities, making decision, influencing people, building relationship, and giving seeking information. In this study the characteristics of an effective project manager were measured by the Managerial Practice Survey (MPS)
  • 8. 5. Critical success factors in project management The concept of project success has not been well-defined in project management literature. There is evident need to analyze organizational arrangement, technical competency such as project management tools and methods, leadership ability and carracteristics of effective project manager

Alternative Course of Action The researcher addressing project management effectiveness and the success of the project in different business organizational condition include the following themes: 1)Organisational structure 2)Technical competency 3)Leadership 4)Characteristics of effective project manager 5)Critical success factors in project management

Best Alternatives • The result indicate that organizational design is associated with project management effectiveness, The project matrix and project team based organisation are the most effective. • When measuring characteristics of an effective project manager by means of the leadership behaviour of fourteen managerial practice. The result suggest planning/organizing, networking and informing are the most significant managerial practice.
