Essentially, the role of managers is to guide the organizations toward goal
accomplishment. All organizations exist for certain purposes or goals, and
managers are responsible for combining and using organizational resources to
ensure that their organizations achieve their purposes.
Vital role manager play
According to Monique Valcour (2014), skill managers have never been more
critical to the success of firms than they are today. Not because employees
can’t function without direction, but because managers play vital role in talent
management. Good managers attract candidates, drive performance,
engagement and retention, and play a key role in maximizing employee’s
contribution to the firms. Managers also have a big impact on turnover and
retention. By becoming a great developer of employee requires managers to
expand their focus from excellent performance of the team. Further explained
by Paula Ketter (2013), Although managers play a key role in giving their
employees the tools and processes to be effective in their jobs and making
employees feel respected and valued by soliciting feedback, meeting one-on-
one, and recognizing employees for good work, motivation is personal. It varies
from individual to individual. Instead of workplace trainers focusing
management development solely on project management and strategy
implementation, management training today encompasses the role that
managers play in engaging employees, developing employees, analyzing skill
sets, and retaining high potentials.
Nowadays, manager’s role is to guide the organizations toward goal
accomplishment and to move an organization toward its purposes by assigning
activities that organization members perform. However, manager is a good
player which in terms of performance of the team because they are the
managers that will allocate a skill to its employee’s to perform in a specific
pathway particularly organizational goals and values, motivated to contribute
to organizational success, with an enhanced sense of their own well-being.
Furthermore, manager’s key role must have a single mind to focus on the
fulfillment of the organizational goals.
Implementing strategies
To be able to identify difficulties in the implementation phase it is important
to understand the entire process of strategic management. According to
Wheelen and Hunger (2002), firm strategy passes four stages: environmental
scanning, strategy formulation, strategy implementation and strategy
evaluation. Investigating why even the best designed strategies are
questionable opens a doubt about inconsistencies between formulation and
implementation at first and later inconsistencies between strategy
implementation and performance measurement. Unfortunately, most managers
know more about developing strategy than they know about executing it.
Formulating strategy is difficult. Making strategy work, executing or
implementing throughout the organization, is even more difficult. Without
effective implementation, no business strategy can succeed (Hrebiniak, 2006).
In this figure, managersshould be able to implement a strategy process as their
pathway to strategy performance.To be detailed, the managers should be captured out
a strategyimplementation process such as monitoring, evaluating,and disseminating
of information from the external and internal environment to key people within the
organization. However,a lot of setting execution can be necessary to provide for the
successful businessstrategy which will guide and helpas a helpfor the manager to
understand a unique strategy implementationprocess, evaluate its quality and select
strategy that will result of improvements.
Determining of organizational goal and objectives
According to Chris Joseph (2016), a goal is a general statement of
achievement while an objective is a specific step or action you take to reach
your goal. Goals and objectives are important to the entrepreneur, as they
clarify the purpose of the business and help identify necessary actions. Goals
can involve areas such as profitability, growth and customer service. Further
explained by Tom Ryan (2016), to create effective goals and objectives for your
employees, you need to be both aggressive and realistic. The best goals are
those that motivate your team without discouraging them from trying. While
existing examples of goals and objectives might inspire you, you must still
learn the best strategies for creating your own goals. This way, you can always
come up with new objectives for your employees.
Perhaps, manager’s goal is to grow the business operation and their
objectives might be standardized that allows the employees to create a
unique business strategy according to its objectives and clear goals of the
company. In setting of goals and objectives are often use depends not only
on the size of your business, but also on the goals and objectives you wish to
accomplish and the type of work your business performs. Furthermore,
determining a set of goals and objectives is should be accurate, creative and
has a high standard organizational objective that can give benefits for the
workplace including profitability, employee satisfaction, customer
satisfaction and the growth of the company.
Generally, manager’s competencies cannot be efficient and effective
without the workplace where they give motivations, satisfactions and
encouragement that essential for managers’ jobs. Nevertheless, I can say
that without people, there will not be a need for existence of management
and managers.

Managers also have a big impact on turnover and retention. By becoming a great developer of employee requires managers to expand their focus from excellent performance of the team. Further explained by Paula Ketter (2013), Although managers play a key role in giving their employees the tools and processes to be effective in their jobs and making employees feel respected and valued by soliciting feedback, meeting one-on- one, and recognizing employees for good work, motivation is personal. It varies from individual to individual. However, manager is a good player which in terms of performance of the team because they are the managers that will allocate a skill to its employee’s to perform in a specific pathway particularly organizational goals and values, motivated to contribute to organizational success, with an enhanced sense of their own well-being. According to Wheelen and Hunger (2002), firm strategy passes four stages: environmental scanning, strategy formulation, strategy implementation and strategy evaluation. Investigating why even the best designed strategies are questionable opens a doubt about inconsistencies between formulation and implementation at first and later inconsistencies between strategy implementation and performance measurement. Unfortunately, most managers know more about developing strategy than they know about executing it. Formulating strategy is difficult. Making strategy work, executing or implementing throughout the organization, is even more difficult. Without effective implementation, no business strategy can succeed (Hrebiniak, 2006). Goals and objectives are important to the entrepreneur, as they clarify the purpose of the business and help identify necessary actions. Goals can involve areas such as profitability, growth and customer service. Further explained by Tom Ryan (2016), to create effective goals and objectives for your employees, you need to be both aggressive and realistic. The best goals are those that motivate your team without discouraging them from trying. While existing examples of goals and objectives might inspire you, you must still learn the best strategies for creating your own goals. This way, you can always come up with new objectives for your employees. Perhaps, manager’s goal is to grow the business operation and their objectives might be standardized that allows the employees to create a unique business strategy according to its objectives and clear goals of the company.
