Worst Dog Food Brand
Top 10 worst dog food brands.
Choosing what to feed your dog can seem a little overwhelming and it sometimes might come down to
cooking his or her food yourself. Because of not knowing which dog food brand is really harmful for
your dog? Probably the stuff you re feeding her now. Because the worst dog foods are the most
fashionable ones on the market. And too many chemicals and low priced filler ingredients eaten
frequently by our pets are the same as us eating a strictly over processed fast food diet daily for life. I
understand you want to keep your dog healthy! To do that, it is essential to give him the diet closest to
that of his ancestral wild dogs... meat or fish. preferably, his food should contain at least 75 percent
protein from genuine meat or fish and 25 percent vegetable and fruit products.
Unfortunately, it s not easy at all to tell what the worst dog food brand is. Most of the ingredients just
look customized to comply with a dog s digestive tract but the fact is the ingredients are terrible. So,
whatever you do, stay away from dog foods that don t contain meat, but meat by products. By
products can mean any part of an animal except meat; they are waste products, and may not even
contain any protein. Stay away from corn, or any type of grain product, particularly flour; dogs are
usually allergic to these food. Avoid preservatives, chemicals, artificial flavors and colorants. And stay
away from menadione, a synthetic version of vitamin K (Called

New York Yankees Research Paper
(working title) Imagine being in the 1960s watching your 2 most favorite baseball teams play against
each other in the world series. The score is 9 9, the game is tied, the bases are loaded and your favorite
player is up to bat. You re sitting in the crowd on the edge of your seat wondering what is he gonna do.
Will he hit a home run and win the world series, or will he strike out and disappoint His whole team?
Baseball can be very complicated sometimes, but when you know more about a baseball team, famous
player, and the equipment ,baseball won t be complicated anymore .The New York Yankees were well
known in baseball during the 1960s, because of their popularity, the type of equipment they used, and
their baseball players.
The New York Yankees were a very popular baseball team in the 1960s because of their ability to go
far and win the world series 2 times in the 1960 s. In 1962 The Yankees went to the world series and
played at Yankee Stadium(britannica.com). In the World Series, they ended up defeating the San
Francisco Giants in game 7 so the Yankees could take the gold trophy(Britannica.com).Game 7 in the
world series means that the two teams playing had an equal skill level. Each team won 3 games, but in
the last game the Yankees took the gold by learning from their mistakes. In 1961 the

Business Impact Analysis
This is an essential organization s business component that composes of a continuance plan for the
firm (Hiles, 2002). This plan includes planning components that aid in developing strategies for
mitigating risks, and an exploratory component to indicate and identify any vulnerability.
In this analysis account, the researcher is going to discuss and subsequently describe methods for
establishing components priorities by determining components dependencies and reliance in both
business continuity and disaster recovery.
According to (Cardoza, 2006), in developing a business impact analysis, we always go through ...

Work Recovery Time (WRT) this is the second phase of MTD, it happens mostly on the third day of
MTD.
Recovery Time Objectives (RTO) this is the system recovery time, it is the available time to recover
disrupted resources and systems.
Recovery Point Objective (RPO) this is the extent or amount of data loss that a critical business
system can tolerate.
The above are the recovery time framework that will assist in calculating the time and form through
which a business will evolve before collapsing (Hiles, 2002).
To do a business impact analysis, the element of component dependency arises. Components
dependencies are the interdependency between the exploratory components and the planning
components. With the planning component, the organization will dwell much on the minimizing and
mitigating the risks that will lead to business disruption, while the exploratory component will dwell
so much on discovering and identification of vulnerable areas within the business. Their dependency
is as important as the two areas. For an organization to mitigate the risks, it should be aware of the
areas that are more vulnerable to risks, and if an organization identifiers the risk then it will have to
look for ways to reduce its occurrence or the impacts. Mostly the planning happens after the
exploratory component (Cardoza, 2006).

On The Raft Of The Medusa
A Historical Painting If there was ever a painting that historical significance, The Raft of the Medusa
would definitely be the one. This painting was considered a major piece of work during the 19th
century and this was definitely considered a period piece because it was during the Romantic period.
On July 5th1816, a raft went down in shark infested waters off of the coast of Africa, with hundred s
crewmember s on board and of those men that were there, only 15 survived. The Raft of the Medusa
was based off of this shipwrecked frigate, the Medusa, it had ran ashore on the west coast of Africa.
Altogether, the Medusa carried over four hundred colonists and soldiers, but there were not enough
lifeboats for everyone so they built a raft. Furthermore, this raft was assembled from wood, this raft
was meant to hold those soldiers and colonists that were low ranking and low status. What happened
next was a tragedy, the raft was meant to only hold so many and as a result the raft began to submerge
under water. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

happened because of the incompetency and the unskillfulness of the captain. But the real story behind
this catastrophe had to do with the ineptness of the leaders, the Bourbons, The Raft of the Medusa,
eventually became a symbol of a country that was meandering away because the lack of experience by
their leaders. In other words, the painting itself reflected how both the captain, as well as the leaders of

Obesity In The Film, Super Size Me
In a movie Super Size me the narrator insinuates that America is the number one fattest country
(SuperSizeMe). Obesity has increased over years because fast food restaurants have populated towns
and cities. In many towns there is up to three McDonalds or even more and that us just McDonalds.
The amount of fat foods in the menu out weight the healthy options and even after that the healthier
meals are the most expensive. So many people do not understand the importance of having a healthy
diet. A year and a half I decided to make the choice to change my way of eating and I couldn t be any
more proud of myself for doing it. A few positive aspects of my overall dietary intake were having
meals that were not very heavy and not containing to

Summary Of Mom s Flu Shot
The article Mom s flu shot helps unborn babies: study interprets the impact of flu shots during
pregnancy towards an unborn baby s fetal growth. A group of U.S and Bangladeshi researchers, who
conducted the study, analyzed the weight of the baby once when the flu virus was circulating and once
when it was absent. Studies showed that when it was flu season, mothers who were vaccinated gave
birth to babies who weighed about 200 grams more than they usually do. Furthermore, according to
Dr. Mark Steinhoff, a professor of pediatrics at Cincinnati Children s Hospital Medical Center stated
that this was a major contrast in the baby s weight. Yet, understanding this new discovery can be a

Principle Of Operant Conditioning
Principle
The psychology principle I want to elaborate is operant conditioning, also referred to as instrumental
conditioning. Operant conditioning is defined as learned voluntary behavior that is increased by
reinforcement or decreased by punishment. This behavior itself is known as operant behavior.
Following the behavior there will be a reinforcer, which increases the reoccurrence of desired
behavior. Alternatively, the behavior may result in a punisher, which decreases the reoccurrence of
undesired behavior. These outcomes are either positive or negative. The former is when something is
added into the environment. The latter is when something is taken away from the environment. A good
driving check is an example of positive reinforcement, while a speeding ticket is an example of
positive punishment. In both situations the driver is receiving something to persuade the driver to
follow the law and avoid accidents. Negative reinforcement could be the car beeping when driving
without a seatbelt; the sound is removed once the driver buckles up. Negative punishment could be
having your license taken away for unlawful driving.
Satisfying consequences are likely to enable repeated behaviors in the future. Meanwhile, when
unwanted consequences are produced the behaviors are less prone to replication. This is referred to as
the law of effect. As a result, reinforcement is typically more effective than punishment. Choice has a
vital role in operant conditioning. These behaviors

Receiving Is Important To Me
Receiving $25,000 Receiving this $25,000 would mean a lot to me. It will give me to ability to be able
to give back a small portion to help out my parents and others. It would also allow me to put money
toward what I desire. I believe I deserve it because of how my parents have raised me, and I know
hard work and patience pays off. My parents have raised me to be a strong willed, firm believing
Christian. 1 Peter 3:3 4 says Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate
hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes. Rather, it should be that of your inner self,
the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God s sight. God does not
look on the outside of someone to use them; He looks on the inside of a beautiful heart and works
through it. Good morals have been shown to me through my parents and the Bible, and I plan to keep
those morals for my life. I try my hardest to stay true to who I am. I sometimes stray off the path but it
is not long until I find myself back on the path of who I am. What people see is what they get with me.
I try not to break any promises. When I say I will do something I intend to keep that. ... Show more

The Types Of Insurance Commercials
You need insurance If you haven t seen an All State or State Farm commercial you probably should
crawl out from the rock you are hidden under or you just do not watch television in general. These
companies spend millions of dollars on advertising and are on every channel. They are required to do
this because this is a very competitive market. The types of insurance commercials seen on television
have a vast range of genres. But, they all have one thing in common. Companies promote services or
products to the audience that convey its services are the best and most professional available at this
current time. The advertisements are relatively short and speak to immense types of audiences. Each
marketing communication covers a wide range of people from 18 year old teenage boys to even 80
year old women. The audiences of the commercials that I have chosen come in all different shapes and
sizes. The scale goes from your car hitting a stationary object to even an object hitting your stationary
car, we got it covered! The goal is to highlight a company s qualities in an effort to generate a likely
hood for individuals to consume their products or services. Although, car accidents and other
problems are devastating, insurance companies put a humorous spin on the commercial to show they
are willing to help you with it, in the most professional manner, no matter what. Insurance companies
understand that human beings make mistakes and try to personalize each experience in an effort to

Porter s Competitive Advantage
Nаtionаl prоsperity is creаted, not inherited. It does not grоw out of a country s natural endowments,

Machine Industry. Japanese firms achieved the dominance in this industry for the following reasons.
Japanese Factor Conditions: Japan has a relatively high number of electrical engineers per capita.
Japanese Demand Conditions: The Japanese market was very demanding because of the written

Large number of related and supporting industries with good technology, for example, good
miniaturized components since there is less space in Japan.
Domestic Rivalry in the Japanese fax machine industry pushed innovation and resulted in rapid cost

Government support NTT (the state owned telecom company) changed its cumbersome approval

attributes defines a point on the diamond of national advantage, the effect of one point often depends
on the state of others. To my mind, Porter s Diamond is more relevant in understanding intra industry
trade of differentiated goods than other theories. This relates in particular to competitive and dynamic
industries where each element in Porter s Diamond would be very relevant in influencing product

English As A Symbol Of Power And High Social Status
INTRODUCTION
Education is a nation building and globally inter related activity that unlocks the door to
modernization. It is imparted through formal, informal and non formal ways. For this purpose, there is
a need of interaction among the students, teachers and study material. Usually, educational system at
the primary level follows the medium of instructions in the mother tongue. But at the secondary level,
the students are required to learn one or two unfamiliar languages i.e. English and Urdu. In Pakistan,
the students have to study English as a compulsory subject from K.G to graduation level due to the
following reasons:
i. English is a mean of understanding the foreign and higher educational work. ii. English is an
international language used in research, commerce, aviation, diplomacy and source of scientific and
technological advancement. iii. English is a symbol of power and high social status. (Rehman, 2004)
Language is no doubt an essential part of human life. It is used as a means of communication.
Language has been defined in many ways. Some of these are as a language is a system of arbitrary
vocal symbols by means of which a social group operates (Pahuja, 1994). With the arrival of British in
the sub continent, English replaced the languages of learning and education such as Arabic, Persian
and Sanskrit. A turning point in the socio political history of the sub continent was Lord Macaulay s
decision in 1835 to favour English and bring an end to the

Highschool Drug Testing
Drug testing
These are my three reasons why high school athletes should be tested for the enhancement in drugs.
My first statement is how many deaths there was and still are from drugs. My second point of view is
how it can affect you and teammates. This is why we should have drug testing when it comes to
athletes.
According to rasmussen.edu there are roughly 3.2 percent of high school Athletes that have been using
steroids or taken shots with out doctors permission. There was a story in the New York times article
Differing Views on Value of High School Tests that had triggered people s attention. Taylor Hooton a
17 year old lived in Plano, Tex., Had committed suicide in 2003. This was a very shocking moment
Taylor was a baseball player, and was very athletic. It was said that his father was the one who started
the the testing drugs in high school. Nothing was said about his mother as far as I know from my
knowledge is that she was very shocked.
Fox 13 salt lake city reporter Caroline Collonny, had a story on a hockey team that held silence for a
teammate that had past away a year ago by the use of drugs with three friends on a Friday. This was
not a usual case it all happened one night, but this is a prime example if it had not been all one night,

The Spirit Catches You And You Fall Down
1.) The book that I chose for my book report is, The spirit catches you and you fall down. The book
was written by essayist and reporter, Ann Fadiman and was published in 1997 by Farrar, Straus and
Giroux. There are 288 pages in this book.
2.) The book is non fiction.
3.) When I was choosing a book, I was in utter confusion. I wasn t a reader and I didn t know where to

4.) There were many characters in this book, but I will only name the major ones:
Anne Fadiman: Anne is author and narrator of this book.
Lia Lee: Lia is an epileptic child and is the daughter to Foua Yang and Nao Kao Lee. Lia is the center
of this book.
Foua Yang and Nao Kao Lee: Foua and Nao are Lia s parents. They love their daughter very much and
believes that Lia s epilepsy is the sign that she is becoming a Shaman. Foua and Nao are partially to
blame as this eventually leads them to have a cultural clash with the Doctors; leading Lia to a
vegetative state.
Neil Ernst and Peggy Philp: Neil and Peggy are Lia s main doctors. They are very open minded to the
culture of the Hmong, but struggle to get the Lees to understand the circumstances of Lia s condition.
Accordingly to them, treating the patient s illness is the bottom line. This leads to the cultural clash.

against medical establishment.

Child Rearing Is The Right Type Of Parents
As I get older raising a family comes to mind. My wife and I have talked to each other about having a
child. We have discussed about the possibilities that could happen if we do decide to go through with
it. More importantly, how good of a parent can we become? Will we be able to provide for all the
needs of the child? Will we be able to instill the needed values for the child to grow as an upstanding
person? How can we be the right type of parents and should we do it the American or the Filipino
way? These are the discussions that we have every time the topic of child rearing comes to mind. We
are almost in our thirties, so this is an eventuality that is getting closer and closer. There is an
enormous amount of information about parenting styles. According to Baumrind there are four styles
of parenting, which are, authoritarian, authoritative, permissive, and uninvolved parenting (as cited in
Kail and Cavanaugh, 2012, pg. 250). Authoritarian parenting means you exercise a lot of control over
the child with little to no concern for the child s opinion. The parents establish strict guidelines for the
child with the threat of repercussions if not followed. Authoritative parenting combines a fair degree
of parental control with being warm and responsive to children ( Kail and Cavanaugh, 2012, pg. 250).
This is the parenting style recommended by most people, as studies have shown this parenting style
reared children better who are better equipped with social skills

Leadership Style And Personality Type I Possess

and give a solid base as to the type of leadership style and personality type I possess. It is the
combination of these strengths and how they are utilized that will determine the type of nurse
practitioner I will become in my practice.
A Relator is someone who works closely with others, is honest, candid and gravitates towards

According to Rath (2007), setting up standardized ways of doing things is vital as it allows this person
to do the right thing consistently from a moral and legal perspective.
A person with the strength of Learner is someone who wants to continuously learn and improve, are
able to concentrate for long periods of time and are motivated to further educate themselves (Rath,
2007). A Learner isn t satisfied with mere answers, they must figure things out, solve the puzzle and
will continue to research the subject until satisfied with the knowledge gained even if it means losing
sleep to do it. Most Learners are self taught in many areas, are bold and dare to think outside the box
(Rath, 2007). Education is an important lifelong activity for this person as skills and information are
constantly being learned, tested and perfected.
Responsibility is taking ownership, committing to values and high standards (Rath, 2007). It is
important that things are done the right way with precision and accuracy. A person who identifies with
the strength of Responsibility is organized, consistent, predictable, ethically minded, efficient as well
as dependable (Rath, 2007). Often the more adult of their peers, they are motivated by

Cancer is still seen by many as an incurable disease that slowly takes over healthy human tissue, and
ultimately causes death. 2Through advances in medical science, different physical procedures have
been developed to treat cancer for example, chemotherapy, radiotherapy and surgery. In recent years
however, there has been a growing perception by cancer specialists and patients that the onset and
treatment of cancer may be affected by psychological factors. A new field of research called psycho
oncology has emerged to investigate how the mind can slow down, or even reverse, the progress of
cancer. The results from such studies however, have not always been conclusive, and in the case of
retrospective studies, have often proved ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
15 Research was then directed to cancer patients. Many studies concentrated on women suffering from
breast cancer, and consisted of interviewing them after a significant event involving their cancer (such
as diagnosis, or an operation). The patients were then followed up after a number of years. However,
the results often proved contradictory, as has occurred in several retrospective studies. In one well
known case, 16Ramirez et al. (1989) found that there was a prognostic association between severe life
stressors and the recurrence of breast cancer. Barraclough et al. (1992) 17 on the other hand, 18 found
that psychosocial adversity such as depression, or a severe life event, was not conducive to a relapse
of cancer and this conclusions has since been supported. 19 There is good evidence for any relation
between stressful life events and breast cancer (McGee 1999, p.1015).
Certain studies found that patients could be classified into different psychological groups, and that a
pattern emerged in the life span of the patients in each of the groups. In one study, Greer et al. (1979)

Prohibition Vs War on drugs Essay
The United States of America ˆs war on drugs today is very similar to America ˆs
Prohibition of Alcohol in the 1920 ˆs. These two major issues of their time may not seem like they can
be logically compared, but statistics for usage and a correlating rise in crime for both eras show a
strong relationship. There is also a tendency for an outright defiance of the laws and law makers of the
United States government in both cases. Most people today think that the prohibition of the 1920 ˆs
and the current war on drugs have many contrasting points. The opposite is true. However, the points
that do contrast are more opinion based than fact oriented. The following paragraphs will attempt to
clearly and effectively show a comparison and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Four other cases of alcohol related robberies alone were reported that night. The increase in crime was
just one of the many problems created by Prohibition that was stupidly overlooked by the proponents
of the new law. There were many others. Gangs and the Mafia took over the streets resulting in bloody
feuds. They made massive amounts of money importing alcohol to the public. These organized crime
elements had a lot of police paid off to look the other way while they went about their business.
Smuggling liquor became a quick way to make money. Often, the liquor was homemade and very
impure. ¯Moonshine ˜ and other homemade alcohol resulted in 4,154 deaths in 1925 alone. By the mid
1920 ˆs, around forty million dollars worth of liquor had been illegally imported into the United States
and the undermanned police force was powerless to stop it. At this time, around ten percent of the
population was involved in some way in the illicit liquor business. In fact, some of the wealthiest and
most influential families in the U.S. today got the start of their fortunes during prohibition.
Speakeasies were opened everywhere throughout the country. These were secret or hidden bars behind
behind everyday business fronts. Passwords were often needed by patrons to get into the speakeasies.
Although police made a lot of busts and arrests for alcohol, most of the general population was not
effected by their actions. During the time span of

IMPLEMENTATION ANALYSIS
The full policy process is often described by the following steps:
1) problem definition
2) alternative generation
3) analysis of alternatives
4) policy adoption
5) policy implementation
6) policy evaluation
While this course has focused on the first three steps, the last three steps are equally important. A
thorough policy analysis will include some consideration of policy implementation, monitoring, and
evaluation.
The policy analyst can sketch out an implementation plan for the most highly ranked alternative(s)
that considers:
1) relevant actors and their interests
2) required resources and who might provide them
3) facilitators and barriers likely to be encountered
4) reasonable time frame ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The policy was implemented (uniforms were adopted) but the expected change did not occur. The
theory that violence occurs due to style of dress is wrong. There must be some other cause of school
violence, which would require a different policy to address.
An implementation failure occurs when the policy is not implemented as intended. For example, the
school may adopt a uniform policy, but the majority of the students ignore it. The level of violence in
the school does not change. We still do not know whether adopting school uniforms would lower the
level of violence in the schools; we only know that uniforms were not adopted. FORMATIVE
EVALUATION
If adequate monitoring processes are in effect, it should be fairly easy to detect whether a policy has
been implemented as intended. This type of policy monitoring has been referred to as formative
evaluation. Formative evaluation documents and analyzes how a policy is implemented, with the
objective of making improvements as the implementation process unfolds. EVALUATION DESIGN
Policy evaluation applies accepted social science research methods to public programs. The same
research designs used in laboratory experiments are not always practicable in the field, but the same
principles can guide the planning and execution of policy evaluation.
Before and After Evaluation: a policy is evaluated for the changes it has produced since its
implementation; the situation is controlled to

Secondary effects like fire; blockage on services such as water supply, electricity and transportation;
and communication disruption are sometimes even more disastrous. Manmade infrastructures are
however the major contributor of casualties during earthquake devastations. These structures therefore
should be carefully designed and constructed.
For examples, the improper placement of partition wall, chimney, staircase, and how water supply,
electrical systems are arranged, are responsible for killing people and in facilitating structural damage
to property.
2.2 Reason for Buildings Failure during Earthquake
Vertical and horizontal shaking from earthquakes and inertia of buildings that causes frequent changes
in building s weight, and the use of poor quality materials and massive structures are some of the
reasons for building failures. Greater the mass of building, more lateral force is exerted on buildings,
and this alone is the major component behind building damages. When there are no strong joint
components like walls, beam, column, roofs, slabs, in buildings, the buildings move independently on
their own direction, and velocity of their movements are dictated by the buildings weight and
orientation, and all these result in separation of a building. The separation of building components and
failure to support designed force is actually a building failure.

Poverty impacts other countries that are near a country in poverty because poverty spreads overtime to
other places. Poverty affects a lot of people and places all over the world and that is why it is such a
big issue.
So what can we do to help put an end to the problem known as poverty? Well we could fund
organizations giving care packages or supplies like books, food, clothing, and shelters. If natural
disasters are what caused that nations poverty to rise we could get other countries to help rebuild the
broken structures. If we ignore poverty though it will just grow and grow until one day we can never
control it and the world will be consumed by poverty. Nations need our help to end poverty and we
may do it eventually. It would take a really long time though to eliminate poverty all together but it
will one day be eliminated.
If I had to think of a way to end poverty is try to make a fundraiser or get some people to donate to
someone in poverty. I think that if people understood what poverty does to people they would do all
they could to help people in poverty. Maybe it can spread across the country and we can work together
as a country to fix this issue. What will you do to try and stop poverty from spreading?
So poverty will and always will be this world s biggest problem unless we find a way to stop it from
growing out of our control. Somebody needs to step up and stop poverty from growing. So will that
person be you that

Maslow s Hierarchy of Needs Maslow s hierarchy of needs is a theory in psychology, proposed by
Abraham Maslow in his 1943 paper, A Theory of Human Motivation . His hypothesis stated that
within every human being there exists a hierarchy of five needs. These needs are physiological:
hunger, thirst and shelter; safety: security and protection from physical and emotional harm; social:
affection, acceptance and friendship; esteem: self respect, recognition, autonomy, and achievement;
and self actualization: the drive to grow and become something, achieving potential and self
fulfillment (Maslow, 1954). Maslow is still relevant to managers today. In order to motivate someone
a manager must understand what level of hierarchy the person is on and focus on satisfying that level
and those above it. The manager must also account for an individual s intensity, direction and
persistence since this also affects how a person attains their goals (Robbins Judge, 2007).

After she predicted the defeat of the French army outside of Orleans, her cause began to gain ground.
She finally went to see the king with three escorts. She dressed in man s clothing, probably to protect
her modesty in the rough terrain of the military camp, and on March 6 she reached Chinon. Two days
later she was admitted to see the King Charles VII. To test her, he disguised himself in the crowd as a
regular person, but she saluted him immediately. The king had her sent to be examined by doctors and
bishops, they found nothing wrong with her or heretic about her speech. She then returned to Chinon
where Charles VII gave her a sword, which she refused and asked for the one that she said was buried
behind the altar in the chapel of Ste Catherine de Fierbois. Charles VII did what she asked and sent
people to look for this sword; it was found in the very spot she had indicated. She was then ready for

Success In Norman Rockwell s Painting The Catch
What does one need to be happy? Is it a nice car? Maybe it s a new pair of shoes? What about

one s definition. Success can be defined in different ways. Success could be defined as being

Norman Rockwell s painting The Catch offers refreshing ideas on what it means to be happy and what

Rockwell s painting suggests the idea that money is not a determining factor in happiness.
Upon further examination of Rockwell s portrait, the viewer starts to notice the smaller details and
tons of interesting objects that are only noticed after examining the painting multiple times (Venezia,

carrying. The happier boys lack pairs of shoes and have an abundance of holes in their clothing. The
somber looking boy has a clean white shirt tucked into pants, a bow around his collar, and expensive
looking fishing gear. After noting the appearance of all three boys, the viewer s eyes are drawn to the
fish that the upscale boy is carrying. His one and only fish is small not even half the size of any of the
fish the other boys caught. The clean cut boy in the center is unhappy and only has one measly fish to
show for the day s work. Meanwhile, the two underdressed boys are both carrying multiple fish of
decent size in their hands. It is surprising that the boy with expensive fishing gear only has one small
fish. Upon first glance, one would assume that the well dressed boy would have been the most
prosperous in catching the most fish. He has the most suitable fishing gear, but he did not end up
being the most fortunate when it came to catching fish. Wallace Wattles, an American author who

In The Matrix, we see the direct reality of this. The world as we know it is being controlled by a
higher power, of which we are ignorant. In this case, the higher power is science and technology that
has conquered and almost obliterated mankind as a result of mankind abusing its powers. Man grew
too big for its boots. In comparison, POTA shows the results and aftermath of this, it s what the real
world in The Matrix (the real world that is within the story of The Matrix) would be 3000 years into
the future if you like. Mankind has destroyed itself, all the scientific and technological development
has caused civilisation to go backwards, possibly as a result of it falling into the wrong hands.
To show the common ethos of The Matrix and POTA, the two films should be compared to another
couple of films from within the genre, to clearly show their similarity and affinity to the genre.

a HG Wells novel, and a milestone in the sci fi genre. The film is set 10 years into the future, 1946,
and a thirty year war begins which leaves the world half dead from disease and shell shock. In its
place a new order rises, governed by one technocratic regime. There are obvious connections to both
films, most notably to POTA. We don t know what caused the

Wireless Power Essay
Applications (1.1 Created 02.23.2010, Modified 03.214.2010) There is an extensive amount of science
break through and amazing technology being discovered and researched on a daily basis; but unless
that technology has a purpose, it will never surpass the research stage. Wireless power has been
pushed aside in the past by researchers due to the fact that there was not a large market for a system
like this. Within the past 20 years, portable electronics i.e. mP3 players, PDAs, cell phones, digital
cameras, video game systems, laptops have become household items. With the amount of portable
electronics that are being frequently used, batteries that are used are either quickly disposed of or need
to be recharged often. Every single ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Eliminating a physical power connection to the phone also allows more adaptability by being able to
charge without strict device position or orientation. The simple design of the compact receiver coil
allows for a more discreet installation into the product due to the minimal receiver components.
Industrial sectors can also benefit from WiPower technology in multiple ways. The system has proven
itself impervious to any type of contamination. Devices with the technology prevent any problems of
chemicals, water, sand, dirt, mud and other debris collecting within charging ports or device housings
that could ultimately affect the performance of the electronic device. With no physical connections,
exposed metallic contacts are no longer needed. This prevents any type of corrosion on the contact
surface that will also affect performance as well as the elimination of sparking hazards across open
contacts. Developing safe devices requires that the chosen battery must past multiple meticulous tests.
By removing external contacts needed for a battery, this technology will allow device designers to
simplify the physical size and complexity of the device. WiTricity picks up the wireless power
technology for applications that require a further range that WiPower cannot supply. Perhaps the best
known example for this distance is

A Comparison of John Steinbeck s novel Of Mice and Men and the 1939 Film Version of the Novel
Looking at the novel Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck there is the clear comparison that this is a
print text, while the 1939 film version of the novel by Milestone is a visual text. There are many
things that need to be taken into consideration when analysing a visual text, these being the use of
camera angle, sound, lighting, editing and the mise en scène, whereas when looking at the print text
the use of description, dialogue, characterisation and imagery. The three scenes which are most
relevant to the novel and the film are, the shooting of Candy s dog, the fight which takes place
between Curley ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Candy looks helplessly saying it s hurt him after Carlson suggests shooting him because the ol dog jus
suffers hisself all the time . This suggests, just as clearly as the film, that the dog is important to him
and he doesn t want to lose him. This is also suggested when Candy says that he don t mind takin care
of him . Throughout the scene there is also the focus on the newspaper article as well as the main story
of Candys dog. This is a good technique used to build up tension because the audience wants to know
what s going to happen to the dog. Throughout this scene in the film there is still a clear focus on
Candy although the story of the newspaper article is going on around him. This causes an emotional
build up, along with the other characters that are placed in the camera shots who appear not to care
about Candy. The emotional build up is created in the novel with the description of Carlson who
continued to look down at the old dog as Candy watched him uneasily , this builds up tension between
the two characters even more so as the other characters present are unaware of this non verbal
communication until Carlson finally speaks. Once the conversation is over between the two and

Sun Solar Energy
How does the sun s energy affect water?
The sun is the star at the center of the solar system. The Sun is the primary source of energy. Solar
energy is light and heat from the sun. Solar energy is important to renewable energy. The diameter of
the sun is 1.39 million kilometers. The Sun s mass mostly contains hydrogen and helium.
The use of sunlight is to supply the needs of humans like energy is a primary source to survival on
earth. The sun s energy is able to feed animal need s. Only green plants are able to convert the energy
from the sun into fuel and food. Most of our food and fuel are made through the sun with a process of
photosynthesis.
In early experiments a man name Joseph Priestley study the rays of the sun s energy onto mercuric
oxide and collected gas that was making heat from the sun rays and the mercuric oxide. In 1954 there
was a group named Association for Applied Solar Energy this group was made in Phoenix, Arizona.
This group publishes books about how students or people in general want to learn how the sun s
energy works. Most people go to this group for ideas to work on projects and other. The sun energy
could work in many different ways to the atmosphere or there s a purpose to why the sun shines so
bright.
The sun has many rays or like different levels of heat. The sun has three main regions; the sun s
interior, solar atmosphere, and the visible surface which is in the middle of the interior and the

Randall Jarrell Poem
In his poems, Randall Jarrell creates feeling verging on sentimentality. The use of children as
characters or a child s point of view creates nostalgia every person can identify with. Childlike themes
like fairy tales or the use of dream work add to the nostalgia and sentiment. The personae of the poems
make them more dramatic, and distance Jarrell from the story of the poem, to add the emotional effect
that wouldn t be there if it were his own point of view. His main choices of characters almost routinely
being children, soldiers, invalids, or prisoners, all of whom are people who suffer easily. The use of a
suffering personae allows Jarrel to convey sympathy and indignation for his character, his attitude
toward those cornered beings who inhabit his poems is invariably sympathetic; he never mocks them;
he is never impatient ( Humphrey 124). It shows the softer side to the stories, while they are conveyed
by the broken and suffering, they are not chastised or disrespected. His repetitive use of ... Show more

Sometimes he didn t quite reach it, but at his best moments he surpassed sentimentality. He tells
stories of loneliness, the world s failure to keep us, and failure to keep each other. (Williamson)All of
his poems could have childhood based meanings, rooting to woes of separation he experienced
himself. The child characters he uses are obvious objectifications of the fears and hostilities that
marred Jarrell s childhood as well as our own (Beck 177). He so accurately conveys the emotions
because he, like many others, personally experienced them. The themes of sentimentality carried into
his own life, which create the relatable emotions that are universally felt. His work is a story that
resonates with the earliest, most forgotten experiences of life (Williamson 204). The memories of
which lie in the subconscious, and are brought forth through his dream works, and their developed

Self Love And Body Positivity
Self love and body positivity. Are the two subjects I have struggled with since last year. Self love is
when you have a positive view of yourself and are confident in yourself. And body positivity is
forgiving and affirming towards your body. There was a time when I used to not care what I looked
like. I wouldn t care if I had a noticeable blemish my face, had rolls of fat showing, or ate a whole
batch of cookies by myself. But somehow, one day everything changed.
For the longest time I wasn t proud of how I looked. The fact that I have glasses and have loads of
acne around my face, wasn t helping. I remember looking at the girls at school and wondering how
they have smooth skin, and why they are so beautiful. You have no idea how many ... Show more

I still struggle to form my body the best it can be.
Food was the main factor to why I judged my body. I love food, but I somehow it became my worst
enemy. Before I paid any attention to my body I would eat a bunch. I m talking about chips, cupcakes,
pizza, popcorn and other delicious foods. But of course, eating causes you to gain weight. So I started
to watch what I ate, and limit how much I consumed. At that point I wasn t enjoying the food as much
as I did before. While eating anything, in the back of my mind, I would start thinking of how many
calories the food has and I shouldn t be eating this . Heck, I would eat one cookie and instantly regret
it. Honestly, I m tired of starving myself. I want to love food again, I don t want to worry about
gaining weight if I ate a whole tub of ice cream. I have no idea when I will digest this, but I know I
will.
Since last year up till now. This is still an ongoing battle for me. I do have days when I don t feel
attractive, or want to look slim, or watch what I eat. I aspire to be thrilled and be fine with what I look
like, and accept my body for what it is. I blame society, we as women and men are pressured to look a
certain way. It s heartbreaking to observe people access plastic surgery or starve themselves to be
accepted in society. I m slowly learning that being slim and having the perfect face isn t important. At
the end of the day, what matters is

  • 2. Worst Dog Food Brand Top 10 worst dog food brands. Choosing what to feed your dog can seem a little overwhelming and it sometimes might come down to cooking his or her food yourself. Because of not knowing which dog food brand is really harmful for your dog? Probably the stuff you re feeding her now. Because the worst dog foods are the most fashionable ones on the market. And too many chemicals and low priced filler ingredients eaten frequently by our pets are the same as us eating a strictly over processed fast food diet daily for life. I understand you want to keep your dog healthy! To do that, it is essential to give him the diet closest to that of his ancestral wild dogs... meat or fish. preferably, his food should contain at least 75 percent protein from genuine meat or fish and 25 percent vegetable and fruit products. Unfortunately, it s not easy at all to tell what the worst dog food brand is. Most of the ingredients just look customized to comply with a dog s digestive tract but the fact is the ingredients are terrible. So, whatever you do, stay away from dog foods that don t contain meat, but meat by products. By products can mean any part of an animal except meat; they are waste products, and may not even contain any protein. Stay away from corn, or any type of grain product, particularly flour; dogs are usually allergic to these food. Avoid preservatives, chemicals, artificial flavors and colorants. And stay away from menadione, a synthetic version of vitamin K (Called ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

This plan includes planning components that aid in developing strategies for mitigating risks, and an exploratory component to indicate and identify any vulnerability. Work Recovery Time (WRT) this is the second phase of MTD, it happens mostly on the third day of MTD. Recovery Time Objectives (RTO) this is the system recovery time, it is the available time to recover disrupted resources and systems. Recovery Point Objective (RPO) this is the extent or amount of data loss that a critical business system can tolerate. The above are the recovery time framework that will assist in calculating the time and form through which a business will evolve before collapsing (Hiles, 2002). To do a business impact analysis, the element of component dependency arises. Components dependencies are the interdependency between the exploratory components and the planning components. With the planning component, the organization will dwell much on the minimizing and mitigating the risks that will lead to business disruption, while the exploratory component will dwell so much on discovering and identification of vulnerable areas within the business. Their dependency is as important as the two areas. For an organization to mitigate the risks, it should be aware of the areas that are more vulnerable to risks, and if an organization identifiers the risk then it will have to look for ways to reduce its occurrence or the impacts. Mostly the planning happens after the exploratory component (Cardoza, 2006). For the organization

Operant conditioning is defined as learned voluntary behavior that is increased by reinforcement or decreased by punishment. This behavior itself is known as operant behavior. Following the behavior there will be a reinforcer, which increases the reoccurrence of desired behavior. Alternatively, the behavior may result in a punisher, which decreases the reoccurrence of undesired behavior. These outcomes are either positive or negative. The former is when something is added into the environment. The latter is when something is taken away from the environment. A good driving check is an example of positive reinforcement, while a speeding ticket is an example of positive punishment. In both situations the driver is receiving something to persuade the driver to follow the law and avoid accidents. Negative reinforcement could be the car beeping when driving without a seatbelt; the sound is removed once the driver buckles up. Negative punishment could be having your license taken away for unlawful driving. Satisfying consequences are likely to enable repeated behaviors in the future. Meanwhile, when unwanted consequences are produced the behaviors are less prone to replication. This is referred to as the law of effect. As a result, reinforcement is typically more effective than punishment. Choice has a vital role in operant conditioning. These behaviors ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

We have discussed about the possibilities that could happen if we do decide to go through with it. More importantly, how good of a parent can we become? Will we be able to provide for all the needs of the child? Will we be able to instill the needed values for the child to grow as an upstanding person? How can we be the right type of parents and should we do it the American or the Filipino way? These are the discussions that we have every time the topic of child rearing comes to mind. We are almost in our thirties, so this is an eventuality that is getting closer and closer. There is an enormous amount of information about parenting styles. According to Baumrind there are four styles of parenting, which are, authoritarian, authoritative, permissive, and uninvolved parenting (as cited in Kail and Cavanaugh, 2012, pg. 250). Authoritarian parenting means you exercise a lot of control over the child with little to no concern for the child s opinion. The parents establish strict guidelines for the child with the threat of repercussions if not followed. Authoritative parenting combines a fair degree of parental control with being warm and responsive to children ( Kail and Cavanaugh, 2012, pg. 250). Maslow s Hierarchy of Needs Maslow s hierarchy of needs is a theory in psychology, proposed by Abraham Maslow in his 1943 paper, A Theory of Human Motivation . His hypothesis stated that within every human being there exists a hierarchy of five needs. These needs are physiological: hunger, thirst and shelter; safety: security and protection from physical and emotional harm; social: affection, acceptance and friendship; esteem: self respect, recognition, autonomy, and achievement; and self actualization: the drive to grow and become something, achieving potential and self fulfillment (Maslow, 1954). Maslow is still relevant to managers today. In order to motivate someone a manager must understand what level of hierarchy the person is on and focus on satisfying that level and those above it. The manager must also account for an individual s intensity, direction and persistence since this also affects how a person attains their goals (Robbins Judge, 2007). After she predicted the defeat of the French army outside of Orleans, her cause began to gain ground. She finally went to see the king with three escorts. She dressed in man s clothing, probably to protect her modesty in the rough terrain of the military camp, and on March 6 she reached Chinon. Two days later she was admitted to see the King Charles VII. To test her, he disguised himself in the crowd as a regular person, but she saluted him immediately. The king had her sent to be examined by doctors and bishops, they found nothing wrong with her or heretic about her speech. She then returned to Chinon where Charles VII gave her a sword, which she refused and asked for the one that she said was buried behind the altar in the chapel of Ste Catherine de Fierbois. Charles VII did what she asked and sent people to look for this sword; it was found in the very spot she had indicated. The somber looking boy has a clean white shirt tucked into pants, a bow around his collar, and expensive looking fishing gear. After noting the appearance of all three boys, the viewer s eyes are drawn to the fish that the upscale boy is carrying. Meanwhile, the two underdressed boys are both carrying multiple fish of decent size in their hands. It is surprising that the boy with expensive fishing gear only has one small fish.
