How To Write An Essay About Myself
Examples
Writing an essay about oneself can be a daunting task. It involves delving deep into one's own
experiences, personality traits, and accomplishments, which can sometimes feel uncomfortable
or overly self-indulgent. Moreover, finding the right balance between being honest and modest
while effectively showcasing one's strengths can be challenging.
Furthermore, the process of crafting such an essay requires a considerable amount of self-
reflection and introspection. It's not just about listing achievements or recounting experiences
but also about understanding how those experiences have shaped one's identity and character.
This level of introspection can be emotionally taxing and time-consuming.
Additionally, there's the pressure to make the essay engaging and compelling for the reader.
Simply narrating a series of events or listing accomplishments may not suffice; instead, one must
find a way to weave these elements together cohesively to create a narrative that captures the
reader's interest and leaves a lasting impression.
Finally, there's the challenge of avoiding clichГ©s and generic statements. It's easy to fall into
the trap of using clichГ©d phrases or overly general descriptions that fail to convey a sense of
authenticity or uniqueness. Striking the right tone and finding one's voice amidst a sea of similar
essays can be incredibly challenging.
In conclusion, writing an essay about oneself requires a delicate balance of self-awareness,
storytelling skill, and introspection. It's a task that demands both honesty and creativity, making
it no easy feat.

Mayas And Aztecs Comparison Essay
The Mayans, Aztecs, and Incas are all big groups of people that used have roamed
the lands of earth. They all have a specific location, time period, capital, economy,
religion, social system, government and technology. First we are going to start with
the 3 group s location, time periods, and the capitals. The Maya s location is in
southern Mexico. For example; Belize,
Guatemala, Honduras, and El. They like to live in rainforest and dry lowlands.
There cities have many buildings like house made out of jade and hay. The Aztecs
live in Mexico too. They live in an area of harsh deserts, high mountains, and
swampy lakes. They thought that their area was a good natural defense. The soil
there was very useful because it was very easy to grow with. They even added land
with chinampas. Now for the Incas. They lived in the west part of South America.
Also, they were located in the Andes mountains. The main area was Peru. Now it s

Each tribe had a economy full of farming and trading. All tribes farmed lots of
maize (corn), squash, and corn. They all also loved cuaco beans for making
chocolate, it was kind of a currency too! Some differences are how the Mayans
loved carving and trading jade the most. Also the Incas eat a lot of duck, fish,
tomatoes, peppers, beans, and corn, while the others had a smaller sort of foods to
eat. Mostly the Aztecs used the chimpas to add extra land to farm and build more.
Many tools were made and traded but mostly the Aztecs made stones out of
obsidian. Sometimes the Mayans would have special foods for special ceremonies.
Also, mostly the Mayans and Aztecs would have runners to carry the trades or
letters. The trades or letters would be switched between different runners. These
tribes have some very interesting ways of life. What do you think, would you like to
live and be apart of these tribes of

Introduction to the promotional mix
Every business will require the use of a promotional mix as without this you could
have the best product at the best price but you will never generate any sales.
Businesses need to make use of various above and below the line promotions to sell
their products.
(I have found a quote that backs up my views on the promotional mix and gives
another basic insight for its implicational meaning)

sponsorships, direct mail, and trade shows that are utilized in promoting a good or

This business is completely different to Burger King in products, company size and

However Anderson and Wall still advertise their business using above and below the
line promotion techniques, these are listed below:
Above the line
Radio
Anderson and Wall often advertise their business on BCR FM this is Bridgwater s
own radio station. This radio station is only listened to by people living in the
Bridgwater area meaning it is relatively cheap to advertise on and it still is herd by
the local target audience.
Local newspaper
Anderson and Wall post a weekly add in the Bridgwater Gazette, this is a small
newspaper meaning it is relatively cheap to advertise in. This form of advertising is
again alike using the radio as it is only seen by people potential local customers.
Internet
Anderson and Wall promote their business online as this is very cheap and has a
massive target audience. The internet is a very good source of advertisement as it
allows Anderson and Wall to promote its products to a large target audience, a lot
bigger than their local promotions. An example of this is Anderson and Wall having
an internet shop selling products and posting them to their customers.
Catalogue
Anderson and wall also promote their products in a catalogue; this can be ordered

Georgia Vacation Essay Geography
Georgia Destination Essay Georgia contains some of the world s famous
attractions. Many people from all over the world come to see them. Some famous
attractions located in Georgia are the Amicalola Falls State Park, Six Flags over
Georgia, Georgia Aquarium, Stone Mountain, and the World of Coca Cola. Three
of my favorite places in Georgia that I have been to are Stone Mountain, Amicalola
falls, and Six Flags over Georgia. Stone Mountain is home to the world s biggest
piece of exposed granite. As you are walking, you see the mountain and if you look
even closer you see a carving of three Confederate heroes of the Civil War. They are
President Jefferson Davis, Generals Robert E. Lee, and Thomas J. Stonewall Jackson.

Six Flags contains rides for kids and adults. My family and I decided to go here.
When we got to Six Flags, all you could hear were people screaming and yelling on
the rides. That just made you want to go on the rides more. Some of the rides in
Six Flags are Acrophobia, Batman, Dare Devil Dive, Georgia Cyclone, Georgia
Scorcher, Goliath, Gotham City Crime Wave, Great American Scream Machine,
and Mindbender. We went on only some of the rides, because the lines were very
long and it was also very hot. We also went to Hurricane Harbor. It is located inside
of Six Flags. Hurricane Harbor has a giant wave pool inside. It also has water
slides that are closed. The waterslides are called Bonzai Pipelines. It also has
something that is called the Tsunami Surge. In this water ride, you sit with three
other people in a tube. This ride will spin you 360 degrees. Inside there is also the
Paradise Island. The Paradise Island is a playground that has water blasters,
climbing nets, and waterslides. If you are in the mood to get drenched, you can go
under the enormous bucket of water and when it is full it tips all the way over
leaving you all wet. It started to get late, so we decided to start heading to the parking

Penis Lengthening Research Paper
One procedure of penis lengthening is via the surgical method. Is this indispensable
or do different approaches exist to get the same outcome?
Particularly, sure. One approach of surgical penis expansion is to cut the Suspensory
Ligament of the Penis. This is the harness that anchors your penis to your physique.
While you create an erection, this harness restricts the size your penis can develop to.
Scientists don t seem to be sure why, but at least 30% of your penis length is certainly
caught inside of your body considering that of this ligament. Some scientists think
that this can be the remnants of the mechanism for a penis bone. Penis bones are
determined in all different primates and most mammals. When the animal gets
aroused, this ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Much more surprising is the rehabilitation method that takes location after such
surgical procedure. The medication that s most likely prescribed after such an
operation is the same factor that weights, traction gadgets, and penis workout
routines do. Of course, these are common and non surgical methods. This type of
therapy is used after the surgical procedure to ensure that scar tissue doesn t kind and
the good points in penis length don t seem to be lost for the duration of the healing
approach.
The ordinary and non evasive approaches of penis lengthening utilize stretches and
workouts to do what? To stretch out this very same Suspensory Ligament. Once
more, by means of growing the size of this ligament, the penis can grow bigger in its
erective state. What stands out as the benefit of having this surgically finished instead
of performed naturally, at home, by using yourself?
For one factor, surgical procedure will yield much rapid outcome. Nonetheless, some
important drawbacks to surgical procedure are that your penis can lose sensitivity and
discontinue functioning. These are each part effects that hardly any man would need.
Plus the hazard of contamination, costs, and
Victim Or Heroine Research Paper
Victim or Heroine? The relationship between opposing genders and species within
literature is interesting. Women are known for being the weaker link, the brutally
murdered, the intentesly stalked. One of the first to die and if they are kept around its
usually because they fit the other half of a romantic relationship with the heroine.
However, while monsters often prey upon women, in modern horror stories
sometimes the women take on the roles of both victim and heroine. In this instense it
is usually because they are apart of a bigger play of events. The turbulent relationship
between women and monsters has been characterized by conflict. However,
understanding what role the femalecharacter is playing can be difficult. Women are
shown to be weaker or even defenseless against their preditor. Usually throughout the
film, the womanlearns to defend herself because she has to. Women are not normally

Throughout the film Freddy and Nancy have an interesting relationship. Freddy is
known for being sexually intrigued by his prey. Nancy is different than other
female leads because she is so girly, most of the female heroine subjects are very
masculene. Nancy refuses to let Freddy defeat her, she also like Laurie does not
give up the fight. Final example, the well known vampire franchise Twilight. This
series is known for its female heroine Bella Swan. Even her name portrays her as
dainty and feminine. She is subject to a family; and later on a community of what
essentially are monsters. Even deciding to become one, Bella has to be the most
tolerent female role. She falls in love with a vampire named Edward Cullen
controverally because Edward does not really give her much of a choice, and she
becomes part of his vampire family and together they battle other vampires. They

Beowulf Epic Conventions
Epic poems have many distinct conventions that other poems do not. Often they
resemble and have the same conventions of a story. They both focus on the main
character, plot, setting, and even symbols. These conventions are observed in the
Anglo Saxon poem, Beowulf. Throughout Beowulf s struggle three main events make
up the plot: Beowulfs battle with Grendel, Grendel s mother, and the dragon. In the
poem Beowulf, these three distinct events present to the reader the conventions of an
epic poem. Beowulf fit the criteria for an epic poem because supernatural events
occur throughout the poem. There are many elements in Beowulf that are considered
to be supernature. The most prominent would be the appearance of monsters. In the
section read, Grendel and his mother, the swamp hag, are the two monsters Beowulf
must defeat to win his honor. Obviously, the terror from monsters is not a real world
problem, it is merely fiction and fantasy. Not only are the two monsters supernatural
but also Beowulf s abilities while fighting them are supernatural. During his battle
with Grendel, he... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Once Beowulf defeats Grendel s mother, he succeeds to the throne and rules for
fifty winters. Then as an old man, Beowulf decides to meet his final task. He must
fight an angry dragon. Nevertheless, Beowulf is defeated by the great dragon. A
young soldier, named Wiglaf, avenges his king and slays the dragon. The
sorrowful Geats then build a huge burial mound by the sea in honor of their great
king. In the poem, it is said that Twelve of the bravest Geats rode their horses
around the tower, telling their sorrow, telling stories of their dead king and his
greatness, his glory, praising him for heroic deeds, for a life as noble as his name
(Beowulf, 829). Beowulf from his point on will be seen as an idol of fame to the
Geats. This section of the story shows the fame after death portion of an epic
The Dual Nature Of Sin In Charles DickensThe Bible
Charles Dickens adapts biblical text to expose the complexities of sin. Through
allusions and imagery of the Old Testament, Dickens mirrors many of his characters
and settings to that of Genesis in The Bible. Dickens adapts select imagery, however,
to expose how the entangling nature of original sin and ultimate forgiveness exist
within a modern human context. For example, Dickens repeatedly references gardens
in allusion to the Garden of Eden, but he alludes to the garden in twisted ways:
paradise is a dilapidated, rotting English garden wrought with sin. Through slight
distortions in his allusions, Dickens exposes the complex, often confusing, nature of
Biblical text and interpretation. Similarly, Dickens distorts the dual nature of sin and
forgiveness through biblical allusion. Though he recognizes the existence of sin,
Dickens specifically highlights how sin is both permanent and forgivable. It is
through acts of basic goodness that sin can be forgiven. In this essay, I will explore
how Dickens exploration of the Genesis stories exposes the convoluted nature of sin
and forgiveness in Christianity.
Dickens initially uses geography of rural England to mirror Genesis 2. Joe s forge
and Miss Havisham s home are both located in Kent: a small, secluded county in
eastern England. Similarly, God ambiguously places the Garden of Eden in the East
in Genesis 2(ESV, Gen. 2.8). For young Pip, Kent acts as a scant, odd kind of Eden:
it is, at once, both a place of simple, implicit
Interracial Dating Research Paper
Black Male Celebrities who Married White Women
Interracial marriages were first recognized and legalized in the U.S. in 1967.
Although people are free to marry and start a family with other races, relationships,
in general, still continue to experience complications even up to now. Many black
male celebrities are taking a hit on social media when it comes to interracial dating.
When basketball superstar Michael Jordan was photographed with white women that
were linked to him, many sent negative comments and hate postings. Jordan is not
the only black male celebrity to receive this kind of backlash. While only 17% of
male African Americans marry women outside their race, the census data shows that
black people are still more likely to marry
The Money By Junot Diaz Summary
Reading The Money by Junot Diaz gave me the impression that Diaz was raised in
a strict but disciplined household. There are many parallels between my life and
Junot Diaz s life. We both came from low income families struggling for that pesky
paycheck. When we did receive that paycheck, most of it ended up going back to our
homelands to support the familywe had left behind and or pay off the houses we
owned or rented there. We both lived in the rough parts of our neighborhoods where
the recently moved in immigrants were victim to robberies and cons. Coincidentally,
I experienced a very similar situation that Junot Diaz described in his story.
In The Money, Diaz and his family were struggling to attain money. His mother was

The American International Bank Case
THE AMERICAN INTERNATIONAL BANK CASE
* Summary of the Situation
Tamara Long sat in her office reflecting on the tough past 6 weeks. She was the head
of the international department at the American International Bank (AIB). Six weeks
ago, the Chairman of the bank had called Tamara into his office. A bulletin had just
come over the bank s wire indicating that a military coup had taken place in Portugal.
The bulletin also reported that the new military dictator had frozen all foreign assets
in Portugal and had imposed strict currency controls to keep capital from fleeing the
country. When the Chairman heard about this, he asked Tamara a perfectly logical
question:
What was the bank s exposure in Portugal?
It had taken Tamara over a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
She had complete confidence in their judgment and was kept informed through
monthly reports as well as phone conversations on any major transactions. Tamara
made semiannual visits to all the branches and quite often would accompany the
CEOs of major clients when they went abroad to arrange for mergers or acquisitions.
During these trips, Tamara made sure that the local branch manager accompanied her
on all client visits. Once every quarter, each branch manager visited headquarters in
New York to review clients, discuss plans, and exchange ideas. Tamara would try to
schedule these meetings so that as many managers as possible would be in New York
at the same time. This afforded a chance for the managers to meet and to exchange
information about mutual clients. All in all, the working environment at AIB was
competitive but cordial, and there was a feeling of trust and mutual respect among
management personnel.
Each of the branches had a computer. These ranged in size from an IBM 4300 system
at the London office to minicomputers in all the other offices. London was the most
automated of the overseas offices; it was the largest, and it also had a thriving trust
operation and a merchant banking business (securities transactions). The other offices
used their computers to maintain branch financial records, bank ledgers, and
information needed to prepare government regulatory reports. Other than monthly
Film Genre As A Reflection Of Film And American Society
Genre is a reflection of society. Film noir is a genre that has a distinctive
relationship with the American society from 1941 1958 because it reflects America
s fears and concerns from when they experienced major upheaval after The Great
Depression and during World War I. In particular, the unstable atmosphere from the
aftermath of World War 1 as Bruce Crowther, author of the book Film Noir
:
Reflections in a Dark Mirror , elaborates on how Film Noir films produce a dark
quality that derived as much from the character s depiction as from the
cinematographer s art. These dark moods are transparent through the key features of
the femme fatale, the film techniques and the impact of the Hay s code on American
film and American society.
Film Noir as a genre is set in a specific period of time. It is also a genre that is
considered to be related to a specific society that of America from 1940 1958. Film
Noir as a genre is a term that French critic Nino Frank coined to describe the new
film movement emerging from Hollywood in the 1940 s, which appeared to be
black and white, crime and detective films. But these two prominent characteristics
do not form the genre alone. Stylistic film features such as mood, style and tone are
very eminent in Film Noir however it was not always considered as a film genre,
but this is what makes the film genre so distinctive. Film Noir was a new movement
or cycle of films as it consisted of expressionistic lighting techniques such as low

Research shows that the human mind is not like a tape recorder, we neither record
events exactly as we see them, nor recall them like a tape that has been rewound.
Instead, witness memory is like any other evidence at a crime scene; it must be
preserved carefully, or it can be contaminated. A case I would like to mention is the
Calvin Willis Case. One night in 1982, three young girls were sleeping alone in a
Shreveport, Louisiana home when a man in cowboy boots came into the house and
raped the oldest girl, who was Ten years old. When policestarted to investigate the

Ten year old victim didn t see her attacker s face. Another report which wasn t

Willis s name when discussing who might have committed the crime. The victim

She testified that she didn t pick anyone, police said she picked Willis. Willis was

Willis innocence and he was released. He had served nearly Twenty Two years in

Amazon s Business Model Analysis Essay
Amazon
Amazon.com is ranked number one out of the Top 25 U.S. E commerce Retailers
(ranked by annual sales) as of 2016 (Zaczkiewicz, p 1). Amazon ranks above many
other e commerce retailers, such as Wal Mart, Apple, Staples, and Macy s. The
business model, customer value propositions, revenue model, marketspace, main
competitors, comparative advantages, market strategy, management team, and
organizational structure has helped Amazon to stay in business since 1996.
Business Model
Amazon s business model is selling products (basically anything or everything a
person could want or need) from all over the world. Other than the United States,
Amazon has separate website divisions for Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France,
Germany, India, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Netherlands, Spain, and United Kingdom.
Since Amazon has included so many other countries, it makes it easier for people to
find the products they are looking for and pay with their own currency. That reason
has led Amazon to being the number one e commerce retailer.
Customer Value Propositions
The customer value propositions for Amazon have always been price and
convenience since the company started. Low prices have always been a huge deal
for Amazon since they have Earth s Biggest Selection of products available through
their family of websites, sold at the lowest cost at a small profit (Noren, p 1).
Convenience plays a major part in Amazon s customer value propositions with low
shipping costs and sometimes

He wanted to be able to see the full view of the blue ridge mountain. Thomas
Jeffersonhad an interest in Roman building / ancient Roman Republic. An Italian

Why Is Gladiatorfighting Important
Gladiator fights are one of the most crucial parts of Roman history. It shows the
livelihood of Roman people. It was one of their most important sources of
entertainment. When life was bad it took their minds off everything. What makes
you feel better than two people beating the crap out of each other until the victor has
killed the other. To make it real exciting lets throw a lion in it and see who wins.
Two men ready their weapons. They square up, not knowing if today will be their
last. The two men battle to the death until the victor arises. If the crowd was amused

Vespasian. Many great spectacles were held in this place. It is 615 feet long and 510
feet wide. It takes up a total of about 6 acres total. It still stands today and is one of
our most important monuments.
Why it is important
To me gladiator fighting is very important to our past. It showed how barbaric
people were and what they would do for fun. They did not have tv s. Gladiator
fights were all they had for entertainment. It also was used to show the cruelty and
power of their Emperor. Its very interesting how people can turn war into a game.
And have a whole empire go watch it.
why I chose it
I chose gladiator fighting because it is so interesting. There is so much background
about it that I barely skimmed the top. I know how cruel and wrong it was. But
imagine watching one of those. Nothing else is closer to life and death then that. It
would be an adrenaline rush watching one of those fights.
Now imagine if you were a fighter in the games. Fighting for your life for a living.
Everyday not knowing if it will be your last. Fighting a man that holds your life in
his hands. It is a scary thing to think about. In my opinion gladiator fighting is
awesome. Though it is a bad thing. Much can be learned by
The Mesopotamian Civilization
For 7000 years the sweltering sand of the Iraqi desert has held remnants of one the
earliest known civilization, the Mesopotamians. Since then, literary historians and
scholars have uncovered myths revealing an unforeseen buried past. These hallowed
accounts have become the center focus of explaining the early history of the
Mesopotamian civilization, and the natural phenomenon s that have existed. In
particular, the Babylonian epic of creation, Enuma Elish, which served the purpose of
explaining the genesis of the universeand how people first came to inhabit it, reveals
a parallelism with the Greek s Theogony. The conquest of Mesopotamiaby the Greeks
in the year 331 126 BC can be theorized as one of the potentiality for the
Mesopotamian influence on the Greek s Theogony. The influence of the
Mesopotamian tradition is seen in the Greek s account of the creation myth through
parallel concepts. Although Enuma Elish and Theogony have a unique account of
how the world began, and how people first came to inhabit it, they are both
analogous in the sense that these creation myths are based on the foundation of: a
successive motif whereby the newer gods overthrow the older, the rise of an
ambitious hero, and an imperfect creation.
In Theogony, and analogous to Enuma Elish, there exists a sequential motif whereby
the newer gods overthrow the older.
The rise of the hero Marduk became one of the most important conceptions in
explaining the creation of the universe and the

The Making of a Legend
What does it take to be a legend? How far would one go to be a legend in
something one enjoys? Jordan Burroughs will go the the ends of the earth to
considered a legend in the sport of freestyle wrestling. He went from underdog to top
dog with years of hard work, unrelentless training, and never giving up on his dream
to be a legend in mans oldest sport...wrestling.
In ancient Greek mythology, Zeus wrestled Cronos in a battle over the universe in
which of course Zeus won. The great event was celebrated by making wrestling the
last event in the Pentathlon. Back in Ancient times greek men wrestled covered in
olive oil and naked. To win one had to throw his opponent or knock him down, but
ancient greece was not the only ones who wrestled. In Mesopotamia Sumerian caves
had drawings in them of wrestling that dated back at least 7,000 years. Over in the
village of Beni Hasan, Egypt historians found wrestling how to drawings in tombs.
In present day wrestling a new up and coming star named Jordan Burroughs is
taking the International Freestyle Circuit by storm. Burroughs is 25 years old and
became the seventh U.S. wrestler to win three Olympic or world titles. Burroughs
joined Bruce Baumgartner, Kevin Jackson, Leroy Kemp, Mark Schultz and John
Smith. Burroughs and Smith are the only two wrestlers in U.S. history to win
back to back world or Olympic titles. Jordan is also hoping to join John as the only as
the only wrestlers to win all six Olympic and world titles in a 6 year

The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act of 2004 (IDEA) in combination with
the No Child Left Behind (NCLB) law are significantly changing the way classroom
teachers, reading teachers, and special education teachers are identifying students
needs and delivering instruction. Response to Intervention (RTI) is becoming the
prevailing model for schools in Wisconsin and across the nation to address the

From a personal standpoint, I have known and worked with many students who have
struggled with reading and other academic tasks, yet not qualified for special
education under the current definitions. A particularly poignant example has been
watching the struggles of Suzy, the daughter of one of my best friends, who is
currently a high school freshman. Suzy has an IQ on the low end of the average
range, and has always had significant difficulty with content area classes and any
higher level thinking. She has been tested repeatedly for a learning disabilities
diagnosis, but has never qualified for any services because she has not fallen far
enough behind, and her achievement in comparison to her IQ has been considered
adequate. I am interested in how RTI can help students, like Suzy, who need teaching
tailored to their individual needs before they completely fail and lose all interest in
school.
Question 1. What are the significant differences between Response to Intervention
and past models for responding to individual student needs?
RTI differs from the past models for addressing individual student needs in multiple
ways. Two of the most significant differences are the elimination of the discrepancy
criterion in diagnosing learning disabilities in favor of multi level support for all
students, and the centrality of culturally responsive practices (Wisconsin Department
of Public Instruction, 2010).

around $30,000, and as time goes on the highest can vary from $82,000 and higher.
In addition, there are many factors that help determine a veterinarian s salary. For
example, a year of experience is a factor. Firstly, When you are first starting out you
re new and don t have much experience, when about a year rolls around you can see
a rise in your pay. Secondly, the amount of education in your career can be an
advantage; the higher you are qualified the higher your pay seems to be (OCO). Also,
a big benefactor can be location, depending on where you live the pay changes.
Kansas isn t one of the highest paid for veterinarians but it also is not the lowest
(OCO). I think a vet will be a good job for me and I am ready for the experience. I
also feel that it will be a long road but I will be able to do what is needed and get a
good job in this field. I know that it will be hard but I am always up for a challenge.
To sum up, to become a veterinarian there is a lot of time and work that is needed to
excel. In conclusion, this paper explored the job and description, requirements, and
salary expectations for being a veterinarian. Being a vet has good and bad reasons it s
a fit career for me. For example, I love working with animals and I will be able
Dictatorship, as the word dictate suggests it is ruling on...
Dictatorship, as the word dictate suggests it is ruling on an area by using power
and the orders of an individual. In this form of government in which the power is in
the hands of an individual or a group of people who gets control on the area by
receiving it as a inheritance or by getting control by using force. Pakistanour beloved
country got independence from British rule in 1947 and from that day to till now it
is ruled by three dictators and estimately in 66 years of independence it is dictated
around 35 years. In these three times the government was took over by the army
generals who somehow dismissed the government and took over the power.

Hence power given to single individual can lead to better results than power
distributed in several people.
It is seen that when Pakistan was being ruled by dictators it was actually bearing
less loss due to corruption. The majority of the corruption cause in Pakistan is due to
the greed of Pakistani politicians. But during the era of dictatorship only one army
chief was ruling on Pakistan. One man can cause less corruption than a bunch of
corrupted politicians elected in different provinces of Pakistan. General Ayub khan
after getting in power instantly took steps to remove the corruption in government
institutes, and tried to remove the social corruption. He also promoted the laws of
Islam. In which corruption was least adopted. That s why he was again elected as
the president of Pakistan in the democratic election by defeating Fatima Ali Jinnah
in the elections. After him general Yahya khan took over the power. He was the
second dictator of Pakistan. He even didn t look forward to prolong his rule instead
he look forward to remove corruption and to hand over the rule to Pakistani
representatives. Similarly general Zia ul Haq and general pervaiz Musharraf also
took steps to eliminate the corruption from the country. So it can be easily noted that
whenever dictatorship took over Pakistan, Pakistan was least exposed to corruption in
government as well as private sectors unlike in the times of democratically elected
government.

A Modern Day Minstrel Show
It is clear that our country s criminal justice system is the new Jim Crow; with a
huge majority of felons being African American, it is obvious that people of color
have it harder when it comes to crime sentences. We must acknowledge that mass
incarceration and the Jim Crow era are greatly similar. Minstrel shows, which
showed black men to be lazy, dumb, and clownish, once justified the oppression of
african americans. Many now believe that gangsta rapdoes just the same and is the
modern day minstrel show, by portraying blacks to be drug dealers, angry, and
violent men. Though many people believe that gangsta rap reinforces these
stereotypes, it s important for one to realize that this form of expression is not a
modern day version of blackfaceperformances.
Blackface performances were popular in American theaters for roughly 100 years,
beginning around the 1830 s. In 1950 s blackface minstrel shows, white and black
performers were not able to share the stage therefore they opted to paint their faces
black with polish. These black characters were always portrayed as either villains
or comedic. Blackface had been used to make arguments for slavery and why
African Americans should not be given full human rights. These are narratives
created by white men that were made to oppress and dehumanize an entire race of
people. The minstrel show clip titled Cotton and Chick Watts Blackface Minstrel

Intelligence, Terrorism, And Terrorism
Introduction
Homeland security is all about ensuring the safety and security of the United States
(U.S.) and its citizens. It was apparent that the attacks of September 11, 2001 were
lack of intelligence. Since then, the U.S. has given great emphasis of intelligence to
prevent terrorist events such as 9/11 from happening again. Homeland security has
emplaced variety of efforts in order for the U.S. to address safety and security issues
as well as in addressing the ever growing threats of terrorism both physical and cyber.
Gathering intelligence is vital in preventing and responding to acts of terrorism and
other activities that may cause harm to the U.S. and its citizens. There are numerous
intelligence agencies that were brought together to form the Intelligence Community
(IC). These agencies gather and analyze information turning it to intelligence that is
useful with the prevention and deterrence to all forms of acts of terrorism.
Intelligence are proven to prevent crimes and many experts believe that intelligence
has the potential to prevent terrorism. This paper will address the intelligence
capabilities as well as the limitations, issues and challenges of intelligence in
supporting homeland security efforts.
Capabilities
The U.S. put greater emphasis on intelligence since September 11, 2001 events. The
Department of Homeland Security (DHS) was established and soon after the IC. The

Argumentative Essay On Painkillers
Argumentative Essay: The Problem With Painkillers
Have you ever felt pain? The kind that inhibits you from getting through your day,
and doing what you need to? Well, it pains me to say it, but everyone will feel pain
at least once in their life, and some people have it worse than others. People with
severe or chronic pains usually will go to painkillers to relieve their pain and stress,
but it s easy to get addicted. Worst case scenario is that a person could look to
heroine in order to fill their craving for pain medication, after their prescription is
finished. It s easy to get hooked, and hard to resist, which is why even though
helpful, pain medication can be deadly in the long run. Studies show that about
nine percent of Americans use pain medications, and 2% 3% of Americans abuse
pain medications (not 2% 3% of painkiller users, but the general public).
Prescription drugs are also legally acceptable, even though they can be considered
addictive. They are hard to detect, and it s not as easy for people to overdose
considering there is a given dose with the prescription. Prescription drugs can be as
bad as recreational drugs, but they ve slipped under the noses of officials because ...

When people get addicted to these drugs, the worst case scenario can occur, and it
is easily seen that many Americans get addicted based on the daily number of
deaths. Painkillers are supposed to be helpful, but if they re causing mass death, are
they really helping anyone, or just hurting society? So many problems can be caused
by painkillers that it s almost a fact that you re better off without them. The drugs can
drive people insane if they go without them, and all the drugs are doing at this point

painkillers are doing the opposite of what they re supposed to, and causing people

Rome s Really Bad Emperors Essay
Tiberius, who served as emperor from 14 to 37 AD, began his rule after the death
of his father in law, Augustus. Tiberius was a weak ruler, and he understood that
ruling Rome was like holding a wolf by the ears. When conflict arose in Europe,
Tiberius sent his nephew, Germanicus, to deal with it. Germanicus did his job, and
this resulted in Tiberiusfearing the newest war hero. To avoid the issue, Germanicus
was appointed governor of the remote eastern provinces by his uncle. After the
sudden death of Germanicus, people believed that Tiberius had poisoned him. He
denied this, but the accusations never died. When he was in need of advice, Tiberius
sought the assistance of Sejanus, a cavalry officer and town cheat. Tiberius sought the

Caligula also suffered from a chronic inability to sleep, a common symptom of
epilepsy. Rather than being almost equal to his people, he acted godlike. Senators
were forced to kiss his feet, and at dinner parties, he seduced their wives. He
restored the treason trials and executed allies and enemies. Sometimes, Caligula s
harsh actions were unexplained. For instance, when he was about to slaughter an
animal for sacrifice, he turned and struck a priest nearby, killing him. During this
time, Caligula was also spending more money than he had, and soon, the Roman
treasury was bare. To get more spending money, he began to blackmail the rich of
Rome. Caligula still saw himself as a god, and he ordered a statue of himself be
built in the Temple of Jerusalem. Herod Agrippa convinced him otherwise. Finally,
in 41 AD, after his return from Gaul, Caligula was murdered by the people he
called allies, including members of his protectors. To avoid backlash, his wife and
daughter were also killed, and he was succeeded by his uncle, Claudius. Nero, who

Pennsylvania Dutch Word Hex
The word hex can be used as either a verb or noun. The verb hex means to bewitch
or to practice witchcraft on . As a noun, the word can refer to a spell, a charm or a
witch. Etymologically, the word hex began as an American English concept in 1830.
It originated with the Pennsylvania Dutch, who immigrated to this country from
Germany in the 18th century. The word is from Pennsylvania German hexe, which
means to practice witchcraft . Hexe comes from the German word hexen to hex and
the word Hexe which means witch . It is related to the Old High German hagzissa

It is whatever the practitioner puts into the hex. By insinuating that a hex is evil,
as is commonly believed, we are perpetuating misinformation. It s important to
understand how this form of manipulative magick works so a practitioner will
understand the need for prudence when working with hexes. For my definition of
hex in the assignment Off the Top of Your Head , I defined a hex as a spell cast
that intends either positive or negative outcome????? I don t know on this one? .
Obviously I had much learning to do of this term. While it s true that it could have
either a positive or negative outcome, one should strive for positive, always
weighing possible outcomes. I did not realize that it was a form of manipulative
magick, nor had I ever heard of that, but it makes sense. I had always seen hexes
portrayed, especially by Hollywood, as something evil or bad. To summarize, hexes
are not by nature something evil. They have been given a bad reputation by the
uninformed. They are a form of manipulative magick that can be used in a beneficial
way, especially to prevent someone from causing harm to themselves or others. The
word hex originated with the Pennsylvania Dutch who use their own form of magick
both symbolically in their hex signs and as part of Pow wow
Chaarismatic Writing Style Of The New Boy Network By...
Analysis of The New Boy Network The New Boy Network is an example of author
Malcolm Gladwell s charismatic writing style which makes seemingly drab subjects
vividly interesting to a wide variety of readers. In this essay, he explores the
complex nature of job interviews and how first impressions impact relationships.
Gladwell argues that first impressions make an immediate impact on people, even if
they do not represent the entire person to inform his audience to avoid relying solely
on first impressions. He convinces the reader of this using personal anecdotes which
relate the subject to readers and structures the writing, expert opinions which lend
credibility to his argument, and utilizing an informal tone which engages the reader.
Gladwell weaves an anecdoteabout a Harvard computer science student named
Nolan Myers throughout the essay which help the reader relate to diverse topics
and creates structure throughout the essay. Gladwell describes Myers as being
handsome, charismatic, and easy going, however he cannot explain exactly why
he is so gripped with him (5). This description of both his physical appearance and
his personality relates the reader to Gladwell, and in turn, shapes the reader s
impression of Myers. The reader s first impression of Myers is critical to Gladwell
s argument because it makes the reader reflect on the fact that although he or she
has never met Nolan Myers, the reader already likes him. This vividly illustrates
the point that first impressions are impactful in relationships. These details also
allow Gladwell to transition into discussing other people s opinions of Myers. This
creates a smooth, easy to follow transition for the reader while hooking him or her
with a personal story as opposed to a more academic tone. Another way that
Gladwell utilizes the anecdote about Nolan Myers is to show how a first impression
then impacts the meaning of everything else that that person says. One example of
this is during Gladwell s interviewwith Myers. He says that he is not afraid of failure
because he is confident that with time, he can learn many things. Gladwell then
reflects that because he like Myers, the answer was confident. However, had he not
liked Myers already, the
It s It Of The Problem Essay
Actuality it of the problem. The given theme of the diploma paper is of current
importance, because it deals with the following interesting notions: why there is a
language, why people speak in different languages, though the speaker can meet
various words from any language in his speech. These words are called borrowings,
and the present work will observe how they came into our language. When speakers
of different languages interact closely, it is typical for their languages to influence
each other. Languages normally develop by gradually accumulating internal
differences until one parent language splits into daughter languages. This is
analogous to a sexual reproduction in biology. Change due to language contact, in
this analogy, is skin to the recombination that happens when separate organisms
exchange genetic material. We don t just borrow on occasion, English has pursued
other languages down alleyways to beat them unconscious and rifle their pockets for
new vocabulary Borrowing words from other languages is characteristic of English
throughout its history and more than two thirds of the English vocabulary are
borrowings. Mostly they are words of Romanic origin (Latin, French, Italian and
Spanish). Borrowed words are different from native ones by their phonetic structure,
by their morphological structure and also by their grammatical forms. It is also
characteristic of borrowings to be non motivated semantically. English history is very
rich in different types of
How Does Hamlet Live Or End His Life
To be or not to be, that is the question is the famous line from Shakespeare s
Hamlet. A question of whether Hamlet should continue to live or end his life then.
John Keats takes a new spin off of this quote in his poem Bright star, would I were
steadfast as thou art . The narrator is not simply contemplating living, but rather
contemplating immortality and loneliness. He is considering whether he would
want to live forever, but alone, or live only for a limited period of time with the
one he loves. Ultimately, this is not a choice, but he ponders the question by
thinking about a star, and how it sees all and lives forever, but yet is isolated from
everything. But the narrator does come to a conclusion to this question: While life is
temporary, and it is possible for him to focus on the time he does not have, he should
enjoy the time he does have with the one he cares about. So, the narrator uses
hyperbole, repetition, and a peaceful tone created... Show more content on

As you read the poem, the diction is very soothing and many of the words carry a
very blissful, calming connotation. Lines such as Pillow d upon my fair love s

Pillow d and fair are very tender, and though they don t necessarily have a concrete
definition that readers think of, they hold an uplifting connotation. Take the line
To feel for ever its soft fall and swell (11). The words soft and swell both have a

words, the author creates a peaceful tone that gives most readers a sensation of
enjoyment and bliss. And so, the theme of slowing down and enjoying the quiet time
you have with your love is supported, because the readers already have a general

I Joined The Women s Ministry Team
I joined the women s ministry team because I desired to help create a community of
women who were Christ satisfied, gospel focused, theologically grounded, and
mutually encouraged that we may better know Him and make Him known not only
in our church but in our neighborhood and in the nations.
At the time that I joined, the ministry like many ministries at our church was in
recovery from a lack of vision and oversight. Since then, several things have
changed for the better. The ministry has given our women the chance to participate
in outreaches both on a local and global scale. The ministry has provided weekly
Bible studies, periodic book studies, and special events such as prayer breakfasts and
the occasional women s conference. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As leaders, we bear the responsibility for building in our women an appetite for the
meat of the Word. This happens incrementally not instantly but it must happen if we
are to grow and thrive as individuals and as a ministry.
While fellowship and fun are good things, sometimes this takes precedence over
opportunities to grow. The weekly study and the book studies have been steps in the
right direction, but our organized events such as the recent prayer breakfasts have not
always presented helpful teaching. At the most recent prayer breakfast, several of the
speakers who were not even church members espoused unsound doctrine that should
not be condoned from our podium. That is a direct failure of our ministry team,
because we are under oversight on the elders responsible for the content of the
teaching presented to our women.
This failure to apprehend the importance of right thinking and right teaching allow
appears on an individual level. Women who speak out in our studies to correct
Scriptural inaccuracies have sometimes been labeled as intimidating or potentially
insensitive to the viewpoints of other women. While there is always need for
humility and discretion in our discussion of Scripture, there is no less a need for
clarity and the truth. Our Reformed doctrines call us to a

this might not be the case. Antibiotics are for bacterial infections. If a bacterial

The Wife of Bath s Reflexive Contradiction for Sexual Equality in the Canterbury
Tales The Wife of Bath has been described and depicted as an independent proto
feminist who long ago led the charge for sexual equality. Chaucer s visionary
protagonist was a refreshing and modern look at women s rights in the fifteenth
century. She spends much of her prologue breaking down stereotypical barriers that
have confined women of her time to passive and subservient roles in her society. As
a result, her prologue, if standing alone, can be noted as one of the great calls for
female independence in historical literature. But upon viewing her works as a whole,
her section of the General Prologue, her prologue and her tale, it is well noted that...

Examples Of Inside The Federalist Paper
Looking into the old governmental policies that helped shape our amazing
Constitutional Republic today, I ve noticed quite a few policies that are still in use
today, and for the most part, remain unchanged. Inside The Federalist Papers, by
Alexander Hamilton, James Madison, and John Jay, are a great way to locate the old
governmental policies that are still the same today in America. In Federalist No. 1,
Alexander Hamiltonwrites of the importance and success of the Constitution as the

his bias. He talks about his bias and he forces his opinions on the readers throughout
the entire speech. This discussion of bias actually opened withing and because of this

Alien And Sedition Act Case Study
The continuous battle between Hamilton s Federalists and Jefferson s Democratic
Republicans did not stop after Washington s warnings in 1796. The debate between
the balance of Order and Liberty was a very large topic during the four year period of
1796 to 1800. John Adams, a Federalist, became President in 1796 after defeating
Thomas Jeffersonin a close poll. Adams was much more openly aligned with the
Federalists than Washington was and he wanted to keep Federalist leaders in power
as long as he could, even after his administration. To ensure this, Adams passed the
Alien and Sedition Acts in 1798. The Alien act changed the number of years a
foreigner had to live in America before they could vote from five years to fourteen.

One Child Policy in China
China is a land that contains an overpopulation crisis. With a current estimated
1.4billion people living in China, something needed to be done in order to lower the
birth rates and control the fast growing population. The solution the Chinese
government came up with was the one child policy. They set up a number penalties
and benefits in order to encourage the Chinese people to cooperate with this policy.
The predicted outcome was to reduce the birth rates and reduce their population,
which was ultimately affecting the Chinese economy. However, the one child policy
created an unexpected crisis of its own, the creation of unequal demographics of
gender and the start of a new cultural and economic trend. This paper is going to

While it is a true that the one child policy has reduced the birth rate dramatically
since its enactment in 1979, the sex ratio between boys and girls have also change
where more boys are being born than girls. According to China s 2000 census, there
were 14 million births from November 1999 to November 2000, with a sex ratio of
116.9. China s birth sex ratio has been increasing for the past twenty years: the sex
ratio at birth was 108.5 in 1981, 111.3 in 1989, and it fluctuated from 115.6 to 118.7
between 1994 and 1995. (Boer, Hudson pg 31)

technology, they resort to other drastic measures by abandoning the newborn
daughter. With these methods, girls are being terminated and becoming limited while
boys are thriving and becoming an excess in present day China. Thus creating a

out in public considering that gay marriage is now legal in some states and also that
soldiers are out fighting for us, however members of the Westboro Baptist church feel
differently. Westboro Baptist church was established in 1955. Located in Topeka,

The final thing done by the Westboro Baptist church that catches the eye of many
Americans is the upside down flying of the American flag. According to the
members, the upside down flag is a sign of distress. They feel that the entire country
is in mortal danger and the upside down flag is a
Hard Work Could Be Very Strenuous At Times Making You
Want
Hard work could be very strenuous at times making you want to sit back, relax and
take a breather. To avoid a complete burnout, visit a Caribbean island or eat
something that you really enjoy. Ride a roller coaster or go cart riding. Do
whatever is necessary to feel better. The key is to reward yourself with positive
things for a job well done, because you need and deserve it. Intently focusing for
long periods of time on certain tasks can become extremely frustrating so you need
a release, which is why you should reward yourself. On the flip side, it is also
making you become stronger because you are essentially developing a focus based
stamina. Once you get to that point, the rewards will come in quicker than a rushing
river.

The Power Of Music To Focus
Many world famous artists, sport performers, and entertainers always talk about
listening to their favorite songs before entering into the arena. Listening to certain
songs such as Eye of the Tiger will give you that push and apps such as the iTunes
will allow you to create a playlist for an iPod. Energetic football player Marshawn
Lynch says he listens to Lil Boosie No Juice for motivation before game time. In
the movie Gone In Sixty Seconds, Randall Memphis Raines played by Nicholas
Cage turned on the song Low Rider by War to help him and his crew focus before
stealing cars. You do not have to commit Grand Theft Auto after listening to certain
music, but you can grab your high quality wireless headphones and type in focus
music on YouTube to sooth your mind.
Document Your Flowing Ideas
When working on certain projects, especially if you are multitasking, sometimes
ideas will pop in the head and start flourishing like flowers blossoming in the
spring, but sometimes we forget about those ideas minutes later. Programs such as
Google Docs and Microsoft Word Live will automatically save your ideas on a cloud
no matter where you are or when you type them. You could also use these programs
Aztec Calendar Stone Essay examples
Obtaining the knowledge that was passed down to them from earlier Mesoamerican
cultures, the Aztecs carved the calendar stone in 1479 (Smith 253). At the time, the
Aztecs lived in a very civilized world filled with amazing architecture, an
impressively complex government system, and they also employed intricate systems
of writing and calendric systems (Taube 7). The Calendar Stone was made by basalt
stone. For the Aztecs, everything was pictorial in nature around this era. The calendar
stone depicted different pictograms or Codex Magliabechianoand, which was
primarily written on religious documents (AztecHistory). Art was centered around
religion in this era. So the pictograms of the gods on the calendar stone would
correlate with that... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Most agree though, that it offers a graphic representation of the Mexica cosmos
(Palfrey). In The Aztecs, Smith sums up what is to be believed the thought of the
Aztecs when they carved the calendar stone The Aztec calendar stone conveyed the
message that the Aztec empire covered the whole earth (territory in all four
directions), and that it was founded upon the sacred principles of time, directionality,
divine warfare, and the sanction of the gods (Smith 270). Keeping the Aztec
calendar is proof of ancient cultures mathematical and scientific achievements
without the aid of modern technology. The study of the sun stone could lead to
further advances in mathematics and acts as a road map to our celestial bodies
from that era of our history. The Aztecs believe they felt justified in believing in this
calendar because of numerous events that changed the course of history for them.
Because Aztec Indians were fervent astronomers, they tracked the stars and
correlated that between the days to create this sun calendar. Examples of events
happening within the timeline of the calendar stone being built are these: Between
1452 and 1454, their capital city Tenochtitlan suffered from flood and famine, the
following year on 4/16/1445 (Julian calendar) there was an eclipse of the sun. From
1473 1479, there were 4 more solar eclipses within a five year time frame (Aveni,
Calnek). During this time the Aztec nation conquered and

A large number of employees were selected and they were first asked direct
questions that were important to managers about their working conditions, opinions
of work, and supervision. From this they saw that the answers given to each
question was guarded so they began to use an indirect approach by merely listening
to what the employee had to say and confirmed the theory of social factors playing a
major role in boosting moral motivation and workers productivity. Explain the results
of the Bank Wiring Test Room Experiment. What conclusions can be drawn? It was
comprised of fourteen workers and was used to develop a new method of observation
and obtaining more information about social groups in a company and trying to find
causes that restrict output. What they saw was that each individual worker had the
ability to restrict output and the group developed its own standards of production that
fell short of management goals. Also that individual output remained constant over a
period of time and informal groups play an important role in the working
organization. Elaborate on the 7 summary points at the end of the case. What can we
learn from these and how are they used in business management today? Mayo
summed up his experiments by saying business organization is basically a social
system and economic incentives are not the best motivating tool because the

Mother Teresa Essay
Choose the two sections of Mother Tesresa s book that stuck out most, and explain
why they made an impact on you.
This book was so informative that it is so hard to pick only two parts that impacted
me the most. If I have to choose only two the first would be Chapter Eight, The Poor
and Rich in Love. As Mother Theresa makes so many points in this section. The
stories she tells about bringing the dying off the streets to die in peace. This is so
touching that these missionaries devote their lives to the poor. They choose to be
poor, and Mother Theresa talks about they choose to be poor to really understand
and feel what these poor people are experiencing. The stories she tells of bringing
dying people in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I never really knew what these missionaries do, and it just fills my heart that there
are people in the world that devote their lives to taking care of the homeless,
feeding the starving, and helping the dying. Where would our world be without
these people? It is sad to even think about what the world would be like without the
sisters around to help all the people they do. It touches my heart to know that these
people are devoted through Jesus. On judgement day we all know that God will
welcome these missionaries to heaven with open arms. They devote their lives to do
the work of Jesus, for these are some of the most wonderful people on this earth.
The other topic I felt was interesting in the book, is when Mother Teresa speaks of
her thoughts and feelings on abortion. There are several sections in the book,
where she talks about abortion. I do agree with Mother Teresa s points on abortion.
We are killing innocent children that God has created. In one section where
Mother Teresa is in an interview answering questions, one question was referring
to abortion. I want to quote her answer because it could not be answered in a better
way. Her answer was, people are trying to be free to live their own life by
destroying life. For me, this is a painful sign that either the country is so poor that it
cannot care for the lives that God has created, or that people are making a
tremendous mistake. I do agree with Mother Teresa on this subject. There are so

Analysis Of The Lilac Turtle
The Lilac Turtle
Table C1. Mr. Cantrell searches the tables and lands on the girl with fading lilac
hair. She looks at him briefly and returns her eyes to her notecard of ten facts about
her. Her head slightly tilts back into her neck, like a turtle that seems wary of its
situation. She then turns in her chair to face him completely, flipping her hair
behind her shoulder. I m Julia Vap. I m a junior and I ve been dancing since I was
two. Her whole body is facing her subject and she tries to tuck her hair behind her
ear, but she s already accomplished that task before she was called on. She seems
slightly nervous, but not anything she can t handle. I mean, she has been on stage
for all her life. Plus, from further investigation, it seems she isn t as shy outside as
she is inside the class. Ms. Julia Vap sits at the closest desk to the teacher, in
perfect view for me to watch her without raising suspicion. Some days, she comes
in halfway through passing period and sits down at her desk, scrolling through her
phone under the table. Other days, she stops by the tables of some other girls in
our class, conversing about things that I m not in range to hear. During class time,
she pays attention to what the teacher says, but she doesn t speak up. The only
time I ve heard her voice is the first day during a required get to know you
assignment. She doesn t raise her hand at all and her conversations aren t loud
enough to hear. I ve seen her smile at a few things her friends mouth to her from
across the room, but she only smirks (and does the turtle head shrink motion) at the
teacher s jokes. Julia is a tough subject to observe thank god for social media. At a
whopping 1,512 Instagram followers, Julia seems quite popular. Scrolling through
her tagged photos, she s standing next to her dancemates or her close besties and
smiling or making a duck face at the camera. Her recent photos seem to be pristine
selfies and artsy shots of a city landscape or aesthetic climate. Most of her photos
have a polaroid, distant space/nature vibe, and she s always wearing impeccable
makeup. Her clothes all seem to be a kind of low key edgy chic, which ties perfectly
into her instagram theme. Now, after careful observation, I
Summary Of Junot Diaz s Instructional Manual
An individual s identity is strongly influenced by their ethnic background and the
environment that surrounded them. Due to this, a majority of the world will
perceive a person differently and create stereotypes, which then compels them to
treat others differently in order to accommodate to that person. In Junot Diaz s
instructional manual, How to date a brown girl (black girl, white girl, or halfie) ,
he depicts different scenarios of dates in the perspective of a boy who is Latino and
from the Terrace, a ghetto neighborhood. He talks about the different ways to treat a
girl based on their raceand what neighborhood they came from, as well as the
various reactions each kind of girl will make. He categorizes an insider as Latino or
someone... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the same situation of possibly meeting the boy s acquaintance, an outsider will
choose to react contrary to an insider, as described by the narrator, If the girl s an
outsider she will hiss and say, What a f*** asshole (Diaz 2). By doing this, she is
being more conservative about her actions towards people who come from a
different neighborhood than her, because an outsider should not create a situation
that they will not be able to handle. Moreover, by being an outsider, she feels
intimidated visiting an area where she is not familiar with the people and the
environment. Furthermore, even before meeting, an outsider s parents will feel
discomfort taking their daughter to an unfamiliar area, as the narrator claims, Neither
of them want her seeing any boys from the Terrace (Diaz 1). Compared to an insider
that is accustomed to the Terrace, an outsider has difficulty being comfortable in this
area because they are used to being insiders in their own neighborhood, not in a
different one. Even the narrator can see that encountering others from the Terrace
makes an outsider feel somewhat uneasy, considering they are not familiar with the
people. So due to the fact that they feel insecure staying within this environment
displays how they are seen as outsiders to those who live in the
An Insight Into Indian Regional Navigation Satelitte System
CASE STUDY INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY IN SPACE: AN INSIGHT
INTO INDIAN REGIONAL NAVIGATION SATELITTE SYSTEM There is
beauty in space, and it is orderly. There is no weather, and there is regularity. It is
predictable. Just look at our little Explorer; you can set your clock by it literally; it
is more accurate than your clock. Everything in space obeys the laws of physics. If
you know these laws, and obey them, space will treat you kindly. Wernher von
Braun, quoted in Space: Reach for the Stars , Time magazine, 17 February 1958.
THE WONDERS AND MAGIC OF SPACE Outer space is mankind s common
heritage, so all the countries must have equal access to the outer space. In the past
few decades science and technology have freed from the boundaries of earth and
making its way in to space. Space is captivating! Space is huge. The universe is
bigger than we can get it. The universe is large to the point that stars bigger than
our Sun or even entire systems look like little pinpoints of light since they are so
far away. Space contains all of matter and vitality that has ever existed, but then
most parts of it are completely void. In this record, when we discuss profound
space, we typically mean the boundless extends of void range between planets.
Space can be excellent. The planets, stars, systems and nebulae make effortless and
vivid shapes noticeable to our telescopes. Space can be unsafe. In profound space we
would kick the bucket immediately unless ensured. Our
Codifying Conventions and Royal Prerogatives Essay
Dicey named conventions the non legal rules that regulate the way legal rules are
applied . Prerogative powers are legal powers held by the crown but exercised by
government without the authority from parliament. There is no doubt about their
importance to the British constitution but their unwritten nature has caused disputes
regarding their extent. Therefore some believe that conventions and prerogative
powers should be codified. This could be in legal or non legal form. Codification
might clarify their existence and extent; neither form however will generate a more
effective constitution.
There are no legal consequences if a convention is breached. Courts may only
recognize their existence but cannot enforce their principles. There ... Show more

Parliament can however override and replace the prerogative by statute e.g. The
Fixed term Parliaments Act 2011. The Courts are capable of judicial reviewof these
powers as was held unanimously in the GCHQ case. Only prerogative acts, which
don t involve high policy best determined by the executives will be reviewed.
Since these implementations are in place it is unnecessary to codify prerogative
powers. Any form of codification would only capture the situation at that fixed
moment. The British constitution is constantly evolving and by nature does not
allow for rigidity.
If they were codified in statutory form, they would no longer exist. Not only is it
difficult to determine their exact extent but the flexibility they provide would be
lost. Flexibility would also be lost if codifications were in a non legal form.
The codification of conventions or prerogative powers is not only in paradox with
their own definition and nature but is also unnecessary since obedience of the rules
would not become any more enforceable
The British constitution is flexible in nature, which has allowed for the development
of this country over centuries without the need for a fully codified constitution. I

How To Write An Essay About Myself Examples

  • 1. How To Write An Essay About Myself Examples Writing an essay about oneself can be a daunting task. It involves delving deep into one's own experiences, personality traits, and accomplishments, which can sometimes feel uncomfortable or overly self-indulgent. Moreover, finding the right balance between being honest and modest while effectively showcasing one's strengths can be challenging. Furthermore, the process of crafting such an essay requires a considerable amount of self- reflection and introspection. It's not just about listing achievements or recounting experiences but also about understanding how those experiences have shaped one's identity and character. This level of introspection can be emotionally taxing and time-consuming. Additionally, there's the pressure to make the essay engaging and compelling for the reader. Simply narrating a series of events or listing accomplishments may not suffice; instead, one must find a way to weave these elements together cohesively to create a narrative that captures the reader's interest and leaves a lasting impression. Finally, there's the challenge of avoiding clichГ©s and generic statements. It's easy to fall into the trap of using clichГ©d phrases or overly general descriptions that fail to convey a sense of authenticity or uniqueness. Striking the right tone and finding one's voice amidst a sea of similar essays can be incredibly challenging. In conclusion, writing an essay about oneself requires a delicate balance of self-awareness, storytelling skill, and introspection. It's a task that demands both honesty and creativity, making it no easy feat. Similar essays and much more can be ordered on HelpWriting.net. Creative Product Promotion Bnd Level 3 Business Task 1 Introduction to the promotional mix Every business will require the use of a promotional mix as without this you could have the best product at the best price but you will never generate any sales. Businesses need to make use of various above and below the line promotions to sell their products. (I have found a quote that backs up my views on the promotional mix and gives another basic insight for its implicational meaning) (The combination of personal selling, public relations, advertising, sales promotion, sponsorships, direct mail, and trade shows that are utilized in promoting a good or service. Some famous attractions located in Georgia are the Amicalola Falls State Park, Six Flags over Georgia, Georgia Aquarium, Stone Mountain, and the World of Coca Cola. Three of my favorite places in Georgia that I have been to are Stone Mountain, Amicalola falls, and Six Flags over Georgia. Stone Mountain is home to the world s biggest piece of exposed granite. Some of the rides in Six Flags are Acrophobia, Batman, Dare Devil Dive, Georgia Cyclone, Georgia Scorcher, Goliath, Gotham City Crime Wave, Great American Scream Machine, and Mindbender. We went on only some of the rides, because the lines were very long and it was also very hot. We also went to Hurricane Harbor. It is located inside of Six Flags. Hurricane Harbor has a giant wave pool inside. It also has water slides that are closed. The waterslides are called Bonzai Pipelines. It also has something that is called the Tsunami Surge. In this water ride, you sit with three other people in a tube. This ride will spin you 360 degrees. Inside there is also the Paradise Island. The Paradise Island is a playground that has water blasters, climbing nets, and waterslides. It started to get late, so we decided to start heading to the parking lot. Overall, I had an amazing day at Six Flags over
  • 6. Penis Lengthening Research Paper One procedure of penis lengthening is via the surgical method. Is this indispensable or do different approaches exist to get the same outcome? Particularly, sure. One approach of surgical penis expansion is to cut the Suspensory Ligament of the Penis. This is the harness that anchors your penis to your physique. While you create an erection, this harness restricts the size your penis can develop to. Scientists don t seem to be sure why, but at least 30% of your penis length is certainly caught inside of your body considering that of this ligament. However, while monsters often prey upon women, in modern horror stories sometimes the women take on the roles of both victim and heroine. In this instense it is usually because they are apart of a bigger play of events. The turbulent relationship between women and monsters has been characterized by conflict. • 8. Beowulf Epic Conventions Epic poems have many distinct conventions that other poems do not. Often they resemble and have the same conventions of a story. They both focus on the main character, plot, setting, and even symbols. These conventions are observed in the Anglo Saxon poem, Beowulf. Throughout Beowulf s struggle three main events make up the plot: Beowulfs battle with Grendel, Grendel s mother, and the dragon. In the poem Beowulf, these three distinct events present to the reader the conventions of an epic poem. Beowulf fit the criteria for an epic poem because supernatural events occur throughout the poem. There are many elements in Beowulf that are considered to be supernature. The most prominent would be the appearance of monsters. In the section read, Grendel and his mother, the swamp hag, are the two monsters Beowulf must defeat to win his honor. Obviously, the terror from monsters is not a real world problem, it is merely fiction and fantasy. Not only are the two monsters supernatural but also Beowulf s abilities while fighting them are supernatural. During his battle with Grendel, he... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Once Beowulf defeats Grendel s mother, he succeeds to the throne and rules for fifty winters. Then as an old man, Beowulf decides to meet his final task. He must fight an angry dragon. Nevertheless, Beowulf is defeated by the great dragon. A young soldier, named Wiglaf, avenges his king and slays the dragon. The sorrowful Geats then build a huge burial mound by the sea in honor of their great king. In the poem, it is said that Twelve of the bravest Geats rode their horses around the tower, telling their sorrow, telling stories of their dead king and his greatness, his glory, praising him for heroic deeds, for a life as noble as his name (Beowulf, 829). Beowulf from his point on will be seen as an idol of fame to the Geats. This section of the story shows the fame after death portion of an epic
  • 9. The Dual Nature Of Sin In Charles DickensThe Bible Charles Dickens adapts biblical text to expose the complexities of sin. Through allusions and imagery of the Old Testament, Dickens mirrors many of his characters and settings to that of Genesis in The Bible. Dickens adapts select imagery, however, to expose how the entangling nature of original sin and ultimate forgiveness exist within a modern human context. For example, Dickens repeatedly references gardens in allusion to the Garden of Eden, but he alludes to the garden in twisted ways: paradise is a dilapidated, rotting English garden wrought with sin. Through slight distortions in his allusions, Dickens exposes the complex, often confusing, nature of Biblical text and interpretation. Similarly, Dickens distorts the dual nature of sin and forgiveness through biblical allusion. Though he recognizes the existence of sin, Dickens specifically highlights how sin is both permanent and forgivable. It is through acts of basic goodness that sin can be forgiven. In this essay, I will explore how Dickens exploration of the Genesis stories exposes the convoluted nature of sin and forgiveness in Christianity. Dickens initially uses geography of rural England to mirror Genesis 2. Joe s forge and Miss Havisham s home are both located in Kent: a small, secluded county in eastern England. Similarly, God ambiguously places the Garden of Eden in the East in Genesis 2(ESV, Gen. 2.8). For young Pip, Kent acts as a scant, odd kind of Eden: it is, at once, both a place of simple, implicit

Although people are free to marry and start a family with other races, relationships, in general, still continue to experience complications even up to now. Many black male celebrities are taking a hit on social media when it comes to interracial dating. When basketball superstar Michael Jordan was photographed with white women that were linked to him, many sent negative comments and hate postings. Jordan is not the only black male celebrity to receive this kind of backlash. While only 17% of male African Americans marry women outside their race, the census data shows that black people are still more likely to marry
  • 11. The Money By Junot Diaz Summary Reading The Money by Junot Diaz gave me the impression that Diaz was raised in a strict but disciplined household. There are many parallels between my life and Junot Diaz s life. We both came from low income families struggling for that pesky paycheck. When we did receive that paycheck, most of it ended up going back to our homelands to support the familywe had left behind and or pay off the houses we owned or rented there. We both lived in the rough parts of our neighborhoods where the recently moved in immigrants were victim to robberies and cons. Coincidentally, I experienced a very similar situation that Junot Diaz described in his story. In The Money, Diaz and his family were struggling to attain money. His mother was always getting

She was the head of the international department at the American International Bank (AIB). Six weeks ago, the Chairman of the bank had called Tamara into his office. A bulletin had just come over the bank s wire indicating that a military coup had taken place in Portugal. The bulletin also reported that the new military dictator had frozen all foreign assets in Portugal and had imposed strict currency controls to keep capital from fleeing the country. She had complete confidence in their judgment and was kept informed through monthly reports as well as phone conversations on any major transactions. Tamara made semiannual visits to all the branches and quite often would accompany the CEOs of major clients when they went abroad to arrange for mergers or acquisitions. During these trips, Tamara made sure that the local branch manager accompanied her on all client visits. Once every quarter, each branch manager visited headquarters in New York to review clients, discuss plans, and exchange ideas. Tamara would try to schedule these meetings so that as many managers as possible would be in New York at the same time. This afforded a chance for the managers to meet and to exchange information about mutual clients. All in all, the working environment at AIB was competitive but cordial, and there was a feeling of trust and mutual respect among management personnel. Each of the branches had a computer. These ranged in size from an IBM 4300 system at the London office to minicomputers in all the other offices. London was the most automated of the overseas offices; it was the largest, and it also had a thriving trust operation and a merchant banking business (securities transactions). The other offices used their computers to maintain branch financial records, bank ledgers, and information needed to prepare government regulatory reports. Other than monthly
  • 13. Film Genre As A Reflection Of Film And American Society Genre is a reflection of society. Film noir is a genre that has a distinctive relationship with the American society from 1941 1958 because it reflects America s fears and concerns from when they experienced major upheaval after The Great Depression and during World War I. In particular, the unstable atmosphere from the aftermath of World War 1 as Bruce Crowther, author of the book Film Noir : Reflections in a Dark Mirror , elaborates on how Film Noir films produce a dark quality that derived as much from the character s depiction as from the cinematographer s art. These dark moods are transparent through the key features of the femme fatale, the film techniques and the impact of the Hay s code on American film and American society. Film Noir as a genre is set in a specific period of time. It is also a genre that is considered to be related to a specific society that of America from 1940 1958. Film Noir as a genre is a term that French critic Nino Frank coined to describe the new film movement emerging from Hollywood in the 1940 s, which appeared to be black and white, crime and detective films. But these two prominent characteristics do not form the genre alone. Stylistic film features such as mood, style and tone are very eminent in Film Noir however it was not always considered as a film genre, but this is what makes the film genre so distinctive. Film Noir was a new movement or cycle of films as it consisted of expressionistic lighting techniques such as low

Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Research shows that the human mind is not like a tape recorder, we neither record events exactly as we see them, nor recall them like a tape that has been rewound. Instead, witness memory is like any other evidence at a crime scene; it must be preserved carefully, or it can be contaminated. A case I would like to mention is the Calvin Willis Case. One night in 1982, three young girls were sleeping alone in a Shreveport, Louisiana home when a man in cowboy boots came into the house and raped the oldest girl, who was Ten years old. When policestarted to investigate the rape, the three girls all remembered the attack differently. One police report said the Ten year old victim didn t see her attacker s face. Another report which wasn t introduced at trial said she identified Calvin Willis, who lived in the neighbourhood. Since then, literary historians and scholars have uncovered myths revealing an unforeseen buried past. These hallowed accounts have become the center focus of explaining the early history of the Mesopotamian civilization, and the natural phenomenon s that have existed. In particular, the Babylonian epic of creation, Enuma Elish, which served the purpose of explaining the genesis of the universeand how people first came to inhabit it, reveals a parallelism with the Greek s Theogony. The conquest of Mesopotamiaby the Greeks in the year 331 126 BC can be theorized as one of the potentiality for the Mesopotamian influence on the Greek s Theogony. The influence of the Mesopotamian tradition is seen in the Greek s account of the creation myth through parallel concepts. Although Enuma Elish and Theogony have a unique account of how the world began, and how people first came to inhabit it, they are both analogous in the sense that these creation myths are based on the foundation of: a successive motif whereby the newer gods overthrow the older, the rise of an ambitious hero, and an imperfect creation. In Theogony, and analogous to Enuma Elish, there exists a sequential motif whereby the newer gods overthrow the older. The rise of the hero Marduk became one of the most important conceptions in explaining the creation of the universe and the

What are the significant differences between Response to Intervention and past models for responding to individual student needs? RTI differs from the past models for addressing individual student needs in multiple ways. Two of the most significant differences are the elimination of the discrepancy criterion in diagnosing learning disabilities in favor of multi level support for all students, and the centrality of culturally responsive practices (Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction, 2010). It is seen that when Pakistan was being ruled by dictators it was actually bearing less loss due to corruption. The majority of the corruption cause in Pakistan is due to the greed of Pakistani politicians. But during the era of dictatorship only one army chief was ruling on Pakistan. One man can cause less corruption than a bunch of corrupted politicians elected in different provinces of Pakistan. General Ayub khan after getting in power instantly took steps to remove the corruption in government institutes, and tried to remove the social corruption. He also promoted the laws of Islam. In which corruption was least adopted. That s why he was again elected as the president of Pakistan in the democratic election by defeating Fatima Ali Jinnah in the elections. After him general Yahya khan took over the power. He was the second dictator of Pakistan. Analysis of The New Boy Network The New Boy Network is an example of author Malcolm Gladwell s charismatic writing style which makes seemingly drab subjects vividly interesting to a wide variety of readers. In this essay, he explores the complex nature of job interviews and how first impressions impact relationships. Gladwell argues that first impressions make an immediate impact on people, even if they do not represent the entire person to inform his audience to avoid relying solely on first impressions. He convinces the reader of this using personal anecdotes which relate the subject to readers and structures the writing, expert opinions which lend credibility to his argument, and utilizing an informal tone which engages the reader. Gladwell weaves an anecdoteabout a Harvard computer science student named Nolan Myers throughout the essay which help the reader relate to diverse topics and creates structure throughout the essay. Gladwell describes Myers as being handsome, charismatic, and easy going, however he cannot explain exactly why he is so gripped with him (5). This description of both his physical appearance and his personality relates the reader to Gladwell, and in turn, shapes the reader s impression of Myers. The reader s first impression of Myers is critical to Gladwell s argument because it makes the reader reflect on the fact that although he or she has never met Nolan Myers, the reader already likes him. This vividly illustrates the point that first impressions are impactful in relationships. These details also allow Gladwell to transition into discussing other people s opinions of Myers. This creates a smooth, easy to follow transition for the reader while hooking him or her with a personal story as opposed to a more academic tone. Another way that Gladwell utilizes the anecdote about Nolan Myers is to show how a first impression then impacts the meaning of everything else that that person says. One example of this is during Gladwell s interviewwith Myers. He says that he is not afraid of failure because he is confident that with time, he can learn many things. Gladwell then reflects that because he like Myers, the answer was confident. However, had he not liked Myers already, the

The story continues with a description of the sadness around the day of the marriage, all the while opposing the Wife s former views that a women s value lies less in her appearance and more in her performance in bed, that beauty is hardly an important factor in determining a woman s value. Yet, the knight strongly rejects her merely on her lack of beauty. Whether the hag is simply desperate or confused is undetermined, but she gives in to the knight s lack of supposedly ingrained chivalry by letting him off with a light lecture on true nobility. In Federalist No. 1, Alexander Hamiltonwrites of the importance and success of the Constitution as the government. He is very biased throughout the entire essay, but is at least aware of his bias.
