The key aspects of leadership discussed are vision, coaching, understanding others, democratic decision-making, pace-setting, and commanding. Leaders learn through concrete experiences, reflection, developing theories, and experimentation. The difference between a manager and a leader is that a leader facilitates change and shapes new directions, while a manager focuses on stability and

Editor's Notes
No matter what leaders set out to do- whether its creating strategy or mobilizing teams to action- their success depends on how they do it. Even if they get everything else right, if leaders fail in the task of driving emotions in the right direction , nothing will work as well as it could it should. Maximum capability will never be reached if everyone isn’t passionate about the overall outcome. If people are don’t care about the outcome they wont perform to the best of their abilities.
When we try to explain why leaders are effective, we speak of strategy, vision, or powerful ideas. When is reality Great Leadership works through emotions.
