1. The Nurture Nest was opened in 2007 by Rachel Hall to satisfy a need for affordable and local child care in the
small farming community of Starling, Maryland. The Nurture Nest is a state licensed in-home child care facility
that provides service to 24 children, ages 2 to 5 on a daily basis, 5 days per week. The program operates under
the direction of the owner, one lead teacher and two teaching assistants.

for food and other items. It has been determined that BJ’s Wholesale Club offers an extensive
variety of natural and organic foods; The Nurture Nest can replace the current snacks with those
containing more nutritional value while continuing to reap the additional benefits of holding a BJ’s
