INDUSTRY
• INDIA’S FRESH FRUIT INDUSTRY IS DIVERSE AND DYNAMIC WITH A WHOOPING ₹8.45Tn
REVENUE in 2023. The market is expected to grow annually by 9.74% (CAGR 2023-2028).
• MANY FRUITS IN INDIA ARE SEASONAL AND HAVE SPECIFIC HARVEST TIMES. AS SUCH,
DIFFERENT FRUITS ARE AVAILABLE AT DIFFERENT TIMES OF THE YEAR.
• BUT, IN RECENT YEARS, THERE HAS BEEN A MARKED INCREASE IN CONSUMER DEMAND
FOR ORGANIC AND EXOTIC FRUITS IN INDIA.
• THE FRESH FRUIT MARKET INDIA IS VERY HIGHLY ELASTIC.
• SUBSTITUTION EFFECT:- : CHANGES IN FRUIT PRICES CAN INFLUENCE SHOPPERS'
DECISIONS TO SWITCH TO ALTERNATIVE FRUITS. WHEN THE PRICE OF A PARTICULAR
FRUIT RISES SIGNIFICANTLY, SHOPPERS CAN TURN TO ALTERNATIVE FRUITS THAT OFFER
SIMILAR TASTE AND NUTRITIONAL VALUE AT LOWER PRICES.
• INFRASTRUCTURE AND STORAGE FACILITIES: THE AVAILABILITY OF SUITABLE
INFRASTRUCTURE SUCH AS REFRIGERATION FACILITIES AND TRANSPORTATION
NETWORKS IS CRITICAL TO MAINTAIN IN THE FRUIT INDUSTRY. EFFICIENT STORAGE AND
TRANSPORTATION SYSTEMS CONTRIBUTE TO OVERALL SUPPLY BY MINIMIZING POST-
HARVEST LOSSES AND ENSURING THAT FRUIT REACHES MARKET IN OPTIMAL CONDITION.
MARKET
ENVIRONMENT
• IN KIIT ROAD, MARKET ENVIRONMENT IS VERY MUCH COMPETITIVE AND SATURATED.
WITH MOST OF THE DEMOGRAPHICS LEADING TO UNHEALTHY EATING AND JUNK DIET,
SETTING UP AN FRUIT TRUCK WITH NUTRITION AND HEALTHY LIFESTYLE AS ITS MAIN
MOTTO WILL BE VERY TOUGH YET NOT IMPOSSIBLE.
• BEING AN EXTREMELY CROWDED STREET IN THE CITY WITH MORE THAN 20000+
PEOPLE CROSSING THE STREETS EVERY SINGLE DAY, CHANCES OF GETTING A HUGE
FOOTFALL IS VERY HIGH.
• THE MARKET IS BIG ENOUGH AND THERE ARE NOT ENOUGH PLAYERS IN THIS
PARTICULAR SECTOR. THIS IS WHERE WE WANT TO DIVE IN. ALTHOUGH THERE ARE FEW
UNORGANIZED STALLS BUT A PERFECT ORGANIZED PLAYER WITH GOOD VALUE
PROPOSAL IS STILL NOT THERE. THERE IS PLENTY OPPORTUNITY AVAILABLE BECAUSE
PEOPLE, MOSTLY STUDENTS HAVEN’T EXPERIENCED ANYTHING LIKE THIS BEFORE.
• AFTER ITS IMPLEMENTATION IT’S GONNA BE A FIRST OF ITS KIND ORGANIZED AND
INNOVATIVE FRUIT TRUCK.
ENVIRONMENTAL
CONCERNS
• Packaging Waste: One Of The Biggest Environmental Problems Is The Generation Of Packaging Waste. Fruit Stores Often Use Single-
use Packaging Such As Plastic Bags And Containers, Which Can Contribute To Landfills And Pollution. To Tackle This , We Will Be
Using Environmentally Friendly Alternatives, Such As Biodegradable Or Compostable Packaging Made From Plant-based Materials.
• Food Waste: Food Waste Is A Major Environmental Problem In The Food Industry. As A Fruit Truck Owner, It Is Important For Us To
Have An Effective Inventory Management System To Minimize Food Waste. Monitoring Fruit Quantity And Rotate Inventory To Ensure
Freshness And Reduce Spoilage.
• Energy Wastage: Energy Consumption Is Another Environmental Issue To Consider. Fruit Stores Often Need Refrigeration Systems Or
Coolers To Keep Their Fruit Fresh. We Will Be Trying To Reduce Energy Consumption By Choosing Energy-efficient Home Appliances.
• Water Usage: Water Is A Precious Resource And Its Conservation Is Extremely Important. In The Fruit Industry, Water Is Often Required
To Wash Fruit And Maintain Hygiene. To Minimize Water Waste, Implement Water-saving Measures Such As Using Low-flow Faucets.
Wherever Possible, We Will Be Considering Collecting And Reusing Water
• Waste Management: Proper Waste Management Is Essential To Maintain A Clean And Green Market Environment. We Will Install
Separate Bins For Recyclable Waste, Compostable Materials, And Non-recyclable Waste. Clearly Label Bins Separately For Dry And Wet
Waste And Educate Customers On Proper Waste Disposal.
COMPETITION
• DIRECT COMPETITORS: FRESH FRUIT SELLERS, VENDORS.
:- THEY ARE OUR FIRST SET OF COMPETITORS. THEY ALREADY HAVE A GOOD PRESENCE AND CONNECTION WITH
THEIR PRE EXISTING CUSTOMERS
• INDIRECT COMPETITORS: DIFFERENT TYPES OF JUICES STALLS, FRUIT SHAKE STORES WHO SPECIALIZE IN THAT NICHE.
• SEEN COMPETITORS: YO FRUITS, UDYAN FRESH, RELIANCE FRESH
:- HAVING A WELL ESTABLISHED PRESENCE GIVES THEM A EDGE IN THE MARKET. THEY ALSO HAVE MULTI DIVERSITY,
SO UNDER ONE ROOF, A PERSON CAN GET EVERYTHING
• UNSEEN COMPETITORS: BIGBASKET, BAZAAR FRESH, SWIGGY INSTAMART
:- THEY ARE THE SILENT KILLERS FOR US. USING THESE PLATFORMS BUSINESSES FAR AWAY FROM THE MARKET CAN
GET INVOLVED IN THE OPERATIONS.

SALES AND MARKETING STRATEGY
• Developing a strong brand identity: This includes developing a catchy and memorable brand name, designing an attractive logo, and
establishing a consistent visual identity for all marketing materials.
• Establishing an online presence: In today's digital age, a strong online presence is essential. As many students rely on their
smartphones for information, we create professional landing pages for location, contact No. Use social media platforms such as
Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter to engage with your audience, share updates, and showcase visually appealing fruit
• Joining with local partnerships: This may include working with nearby coffee shops, gyms and spas to offer joint promotions or
promote each other's businesses. Find opportunities to attend college events, health fairs, and sports activities to increase your
visibility and reach.
• Offering promotions and discounts: Implementing various promotional strategies to attract customers and encourage repeat visits.
This may include offering special discounts to students, faculty or hospital staff at certain times or days of the week. Implementing
loyalty programs, referral system, to reward customers with bonuses and discounts after making a certain number of purchases.
• Providing excellent customer service: Educate your staff to provide excellent customer service. Friendly and knowledgeable staff are
available to offer recommendations, answer fruit questions, and engage in meaningful conversations with customers. Positive
interactions and word of mouth can have a huge impact on the success of your fruit truck.
PRICING STRATEGY
• For Penetrating And Expanding Deep In The Market, We Will
Follow The Following Pricing Strategy.
• We Will Start With Penetration Stage With High Quality Products
At An Affordable Rate.
• Following Which We Will Follow The Economy Stage And After
That We Will Go With The Premium Stage.
• As This Is An Highly Competitive Market, Providing Low Quality
Products At A Higher Price Wont Be Profitable For Us In The Long
Run, So We Will Skip The Skimming Strategy.
• Keeping In Mind That Our Pricing Will Decide Our Longevity And
Presence In The Market, We Have To Carefully Research About
Our Costs And Turn Unit Profitable.
INVENTORY MANAGEMENT
• Just-in-time inventory (JIT): Instead of storing large amounts of fruit, we can maintain less inventory and get deliveries as often as
needed. This approach minimizes the risk of overstocking, improves cash flow, and ensures fresh fruit availability.
• Relationships with Suppliers: Building strong relationships with trusted fruit suppliers allows for stable supply, better pricing, and the
flexibility to adjust orders to meet demand.
• First In First Out (FIFO): We use a first-in, first-out (FIFO) method for inventory rotation. This means that the oldest fruits are used or
sold first to ensure freshness and avoid waste.
• Regular inventory checks: We conduct regular inventory checks to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies. These checks help
match physical inventory with recorded inventory levels, identify damaged or expired items, and adjust inventory records accordingly.
• Optimal Stock: Determining optimal inventory levels based on demand patterns, available storage space, and fruit perishability.
Finding the right balance between having enough inventory to meet customer demand and minimizing waste is critical. Analyzing
historical sales data, account for seasonal fluctuations, and adjust inventory levels accordingly.
• Minimizing waste: Implementing strategies to minimize waste and reduce spoilage. This includes closely monitoring fruit quality,
regularly checking inventory for signs of spoilage or damage, and removing expired or damaged fruit in a timely manner

  • 12. INDUSTRY • INDIA’S FRESH FRUIT INDUSTRY IS DIVERSE AND DYNAMIC WITH A WHOOPING ₹8.45Tn REVENUE in 2023. The market is expected to grow annually by 9.74% (CAGR 2023-2028). • MANY FRUITS IN INDIA ARE SEASONAL AND HAVE SPECIFIC HARVEST TIMES. AS SUCH, DIFFERENT FRUITS ARE AVAILABLE AT DIFFERENT TIMES OF THE YEAR. • BUT, IN RECENT YEARS, THERE HAS BEEN A MARKED INCREASE IN CONSUMER DEMAND FOR ORGANIC AND EXOTIC FRUITS IN INDIA. • THE FRESH FRUIT MARKET INDIA IS VERY HIGHLY ELASTIC. • SUBSTITUTION EFFECT:- : CHANGES IN FRUIT PRICES CAN INFLUENCE SHOPPERS' DECISIONS TO SWITCH TO ALTERNATIVE FRUITS. WHEN THE PRICE OF A PARTICULAR FRUIT RISES SIGNIFICANTLY, SHOPPERS CAN TURN TO ALTERNATIVE FRUITS THAT OFFER SIMILAR TASTE AND NUTRITIONAL VALUE AT LOWER PRICES. • INFRASTRUCTURE AND STORAGE FACILITIES: THE AVAILABILITY OF SUITABLE INFRASTRUCTURE SUCH AS REFRIGERATION FACILITIES AND TRANSPORTATION NETWORKS IS CRITICAL TO MAINTAIN IN THE FRUIT INDUSTRY. EFFICIENT STORAGE AND TRANSPORTATION SYSTEMS CONTRIBUTE TO OVERALL SUPPLY BY MINIMIZING POST- HARVEST LOSSES AND ENSURING THAT FRUIT REACHES MARKET IN OPTIMAL CONDITION.
  • 13. MARKET ENVIRONMENT • IN KIIT ROAD, MARKET ENVIRONMENT IS VERY MUCH COMPETITIVE AND SATURATED. WITH MOST OF THE DEMOGRAPHICS LEADING TO UNHEALTHY EATING AND JUNK DIET, SETTING UP AN FRUIT TRUCK WITH NUTRITION AND HEALTHY LIFESTYLE AS ITS MAIN MOTTO WILL BE VERY TOUGH YET NOT IMPOSSIBLE. • BEING AN EXTREMELY CROWDED STREET IN THE CITY WITH MORE THAN 20000+ PEOPLE CROSSING THE STREETS EVERY SINGLE DAY, CHANCES OF GETTING A HUGE FOOTFALL IS VERY HIGH. • THE MARKET IS BIG ENOUGH AND THERE ARE NOT ENOUGH PLAYERS IN THIS PARTICULAR SECTOR. THIS IS WHERE WE WANT TO DIVE IN. ALTHOUGH THERE ARE FEW UNORGANIZED STALLS BUT A PERFECT ORGANIZED PLAYER WITH GOOD VALUE PROPOSAL IS STILL NOT THERE. THERE IS PLENTY OPPORTUNITY AVAILABLE BECAUSE PEOPLE, MOSTLY STUDENTS HAVEN’T EXPERIENCED ANYTHING LIKE THIS BEFORE. • AFTER ITS IMPLEMENTATION IT’S GONNA BE A FIRST OF ITS KIND ORGANIZED AND INNOVATIVE FRUIT TRUCK.
  • 14. ENVIRONMENTAL CONCERNS • Packaging Waste: One Of The Biggest Environmental Problems Is The Generation Of Packaging Waste. Fruit Stores Often Use Single- use Packaging Such As Plastic Bags And Containers, Which Can Contribute To Landfills And Pollution. To Tackle This , We Will Be Using Environmentally Friendly Alternatives, Such As Biodegradable Or Compostable Packaging Made From Plant-based Materials. • Food Waste: Food Waste Is A Major Environmental Problem In The Food Industry. As A Fruit Truck Owner, It Is Important For Us To Have An Effective Inventory Management System To Minimize Food Waste. Monitoring Fruit Quantity And Rotate Inventory To Ensure Freshness And Reduce Spoilage. • Energy Wastage: Energy Consumption Is Another Environmental Issue To Consider. Fruit Stores Often Need Refrigeration Systems Or Coolers To Keep Their Fruit Fresh. We Will Be Trying To Reduce Energy Consumption By Choosing Energy-efficient Home Appliances. • Water Usage: Water Is A Precious Resource And Its Conservation Is Extremely Important. In The Fruit Industry, Water Is Often Required To Wash Fruit And Maintain Hygiene. To Minimize Water Waste, Implement Water-saving Measures Such As Using Low-flow Faucets. Wherever Possible, We Will Be Considering Collecting And Reusing Water • Waste Management: Proper Waste Management Is Essential To Maintain A Clean And Green Market Environment. We Will Install Separate Bins For Recyclable Waste, Compostable Materials, And Non-recyclable Waste. Clearly Label Bins Separately For Dry And Wet Waste And Educate Customers On Proper Waste Disposal.

THEY ALSO HAVE MULTI DIVERSITY, SO UNDER ONE ROOF, A PERSON CAN GET EVERYTHING • UNSEEN COMPETITORS: BIGBASKET, BAZAAR FRESH, SWIGGY INSTAMART :- THEY ARE THE SILENT KILLERS FOR US. USING THESE PLATFORMS BUSINESSES FAR AWAY FROM THE MARKET CAN GET INVOLVED IN THE OPERATIONS.

  • 17. SALES AND MARKETING STRATEGY • Developing a strong brand identity: This includes developing a catchy and memorable brand name, designing an attractive logo, and establishing a consistent visual identity for all marketing materials. • Establishing an online presence: In today's digital age, a strong online presence is essential. As many students rely on their smartphones for information, we create professional landing pages for location, contact No. Use social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter to engage with your audience, share updates, and showcase visually appealing fruit • Joining with local partnerships: This may include working with nearby coffee shops, gyms and spas to offer joint promotions or promote each other's businesses. Find opportunities to attend college events, health fairs, and sports activities to increase your visibility and reach. • Offering promotions and discounts: Implementing various promotional strategies to attract customers and encourage repeat visits. This may include offering special discounts to students, faculty or hospital staff at certain times or days of the week. Implementing loyalty programs, referral system, to reward customers with bonuses and discounts after making a certain number of purchases. • Providing excellent customer service: Educate your staff to provide excellent customer service. Friendly and knowledgeable staff are available to offer recommendations, answer fruit questions, and engage in meaningful conversations with customers. Positive interactions and word of mouth can have a huge impact on the success of your fruit truck.
  • 18. PRICING STRATEGY • For Penetrating And Expanding Deep In The Market, We Will Follow The Following Pricing Strategy. • We Will Start With Penetration Stage With High Quality Products At An Affordable Rate. • Following Which We Will Follow The Economy Stage And After That We Will Go With The Premium Stage. • As This Is An Highly Competitive Market, Providing Low Quality Products At A Higher Price Wont Be Profitable For Us In The Long Run, So We Will Skip The Skimming Strategy. • Keeping In Mind That Our Pricing Will Decide Our Longevity And Presence In The Market, We Have To Carefully Research About Our Costs And Turn Unit Profitable.
  • 19. INVENTORY MANAGEMENT • Just-in-time inventory (JIT): Instead of storing large amounts of fruit, we can maintain less inventory and get deliveries as often as needed. This approach minimizes the risk of overstocking, improves cash flow, and ensures fresh fruit availability. • Relationships with Suppliers: Building strong relationships with trusted fruit suppliers allows for stable supply, better pricing, and the flexibility to adjust orders to meet demand. • First In First Out (FIFO): We use a first-in, first-out (FIFO) method for inventory rotation. This means that the oldest fruits are used or sold first to ensure freshness and avoid waste. • Regular inventory checks: We conduct regular inventory checks to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies. These checks help match physical inventory with recorded inventory levels, identify damaged or expired items, and adjust inventory records accordingly. • Optimal Stock: Determining optimal inventory levels based on demand patterns, available storage space, and fruit perishability. Finding the right balance between having enough inventory to meet customer demand and minimizing waste is critical. Analyzing historical sales data, account for seasonal fluctuations, and adjust inventory levels accordingly. • Minimizing waste: Implementing strategies to minimize waste and reduce spoilage. This includes closely monitoring fruit quality, regularly checking inventory for signs of spoilage or damage, and removing expired or damaged fruit in a timely manner
