– Collection of potential choice you could make for your products visuals
(colours, image styles and fonts). Provide some indication of which ones you
will use, where you will use them and reasons why
– This should explore alternatives to everything- don’t just include one
option. Look at several potential aspects to include and reference the ones
you plan to use and why
• Layout Plans
– Potential designs you could do for your product using images, fonts and
colours from style sheet
PRE-PRODUCTION Colour schemes:
This is important for
any visual product.
Talk about the options

decisions you are
making and relate
your ideas back to

these shots.
The camera will be
positioned here for shots 9,

camera will be at eye level
for shots 9, 11, 13 and 15

I checked the time of when the lighting was
best in the living room. It was best between
11am to 3pm. This will be the best time to
film in here.
I also did a test to see if it would be good to
film with the main light on or off. I’ve
decided to film with the light off because I
thought if I film with it on, it will glare,
making it difficult to see what’s happening.

The camera will be
positioned on the bed on
the tripod. It will look at
the character from eye
level because he has
power in this scene.
Then the camera will
follow the characters
movements as he walks
out of the room. It will still
stay on the bed.The character will be
stood here packing a
bag. He will then turn
around and leave the
room.

I decided to check the weather for the day
of filming. It’s going to be nice and sunny
so filming can go ahead. IF it was raining
on this day I would need to look for
another day to film between the original
day and the deadline of the project.

Contingency Planning
Potential Issue Solution
Actors might not be available when you need
them. They might be ill or they need to be
somewhere
Ask some people to be backups, and ask other
people to be backups in case the backup people
aren’t available.
Memory stick doesn’t work Save my work in various places so there’s more
than one copy. I can carry on from where I
finished before and I can get it from anywhere I
save it.
The computer crashes or breaks down Talk to my teacher
Save my work in various places (e.g on my
memory stick) so there’s more than one
copy
Camera doesn’t work Check that the battery is in it and is charged up.
Get a spare battery in case the old one is flat, or
talk to college technician
Microphone/audio recorder doesn’t work Possibly a flat battery. Replace the batteries or
charge the old ones up, or talk to college
technician.
I’m not in college Do the work at home or come into college on a
study day.
Health and Safety
Potential Issue How will the issue be
avoided?
Wires are in the way – someone could trip over Move the wires to a safer place in the room
(e.g. against the wall/behind something) so
they’re out of the way.
Water could spill over the computer or mac
causing it to break
Make sure water is in a tight water bottle and
away from the keyboard. This will avoid a
spillage.
Electrical appliances such as lights can give me
an electric shock
Always use electrical items correctly, This will
help to avoid getting a shock.

They might be ill or they need to be somewhere Ask some people to be backups, and ask other people to be backups in case the backup people aren’t available. Memory stick doesn’t work Save my work in various places so there’s more than one copy. I can carry on from where I finished before and I can get it from anywhere I save it. The computer crashes or breaks down Talk to my teacher Save my work in various places (e.g on my memory stick) so there’s more than one copy Camera doesn’t work Check that the battery is in it and is charged up. Get a spare battery in case the old one is flat, or talk to college technician Microphone/audio recorder doesn’t work Possibly a flat battery. Replace the batteries or charge the old ones up, or talk to college technician. I’m not in college Do the work at home or come into college on a study day.
  • 24. Health and Safety Potential Issue How will the issue be avoided? Wires are in the way – someone could trip over Move the wires to a safer place in the room (e.g. against the wall/behind something) so they’re out of the way. Water could spill over the computer or mac causing it to break Make sure water is in a tight water bottle and away from the keyboard. This will avoid a spillage. Electrical appliances such as lights can give me an electric shock Always use electrical items correctly, This will help to avoid getting a shock.
