Cogon grass, also known as Imperata cylindrica, is an invasive species considered one of the world's worst weeds. It is extremely aggressive and can invade both natural areas and agricultural lands. Cogon grass poses the greatest threat to Florida's Ocala National Forest, where it is nicknamed "the grass from hell" due to its tenacious nature. Its roots and flowers have various medicinal uses, including treating wounds, urinary tract infections, fever, and nosebleeds.
