When I think of the Protestant Reformation, the first thing that comes to mind is the
Augsburg Confession. The protestant reformation can be defined as the 16th century religious,
political, intellectual and cultural upheaval that splintered Catholic Europe, setting in place the

the foremost confession of faith for the Lutheran Church. It was written by Phillip Melanchton and
presented to Charles V on June 25, 1530. The main goal of this confession was to restore religious and

Regulus is the brightest star in the constellation of Leo, and was aligned with the Sphinx at about 2300
BC during the summer solstice. The Sphinx is believed to represent the pharaoh, Khafre. It guards the
gates of Giza, where the pyramid of Khafre stands. The Sphinx was not built brick by brick, like the
Great Pyramid of Egypt, but it was carved from a huge mass of limestone from the Giza Plateau.
The Sphinx was built with three tunnels leading to somewhere, but the erosion has blocked them off,

A Cultural Determination of Meaning Throughout historic culture, we can identify several changes in
philosophical thought. Through the emergence of romanticism, we see a realization that, through
passion, the paths of the hero and saint can be merged. In the agony and ecstasy of Michelangelo, it is
obvious how the paths of hero and saint can be merged in the form of art, to attempt to reconcile the
tension between them. In the enlightenment patterns of cultural mutation, we begin to realize that the
way we converge the two paths depends on the historical context in which we view them. And finally,

This stems directly from the Greek ideal of the tragic hero and builds on romanticism, and
Michelangelo portrays this in his Roman Pieta. Through the idea of the parent s loss of the child, he is
able to display heroism in the mother, through the depiction of the biblical figures of Mary and Jesus.
Michelangelo is reacting to a certain cultural context by combining contemplation with faith the
Florentine Renaissance and the timeless dynamic of human existence that he observed while in Rome.
This leads us to the fact that these thought patterns are influenced by the culture in which they are
observed through the changes in philosophical thought in the enlightenment. During the enlightenment
patterns of cultural mutations, there is a growing emphasis on morality to determine one s faith.
Luther describes the individual as being responsible for his/her identity as a child of God. Science re
inserts the impersonal worldview of the hero into a Christian culture. The rise of capitalism brings the
idea that human identity is based on a cultural environment which is organized in economic terms
with an emphasis on competitive advantage. All of these mutations point to the fact that the tensions
between the two paths are unable to be merged into one path; they swing in one direction or the other,

CEO pay in America is ridiculous in numbers as opposed to other parts of the world. Looking back, in

I agree with that idea to some extent, CEOS do carry pressure it comes with the job title. However,
they also have people that work with to eliminate this pressure to make sure everything runs smoothly.
They are called employees, these people sit behind desks for hours on end or work on the field or
behind machines and they do the major work. Also, when something does go wrong in the company
employees are the first people that are told to go home. They end up paying the price for the fraud,
high risk taking and problematic results of the CEO decision. I think that when the economy is down
or there is a crash in the market that a CEO has the right to really worry and feel pressured to do a

Juvenile Delinquency has been an active issue in the criminal justice system that is considered as an
evil by the society. It is believed to be a social and psychological problem faced by the youth and the
society, which violates the legal system. The violation of the legal system makes it important to
overcome the problem. The need to prevent the juvenile delinquency is important to help the youth
cope with the society as well as the criminal justice system. The prevention of the delinquency is only
possible if the results can be gathered for the causes of this behaviour. The causes can be gathered by
examining a group of youth who can become possible offenders by knowing that what causes the
delinquency and at what stages of the life does it trigger. The paper will be focus on the problem of

Roland Barthes establishes through his theory The Death of the Author that although it seems practical
to unite author and reader, implementing authors personalities on a text limits readers understanding
of topics. He suggests disrupting this reliance so independent thinking will not be swayed by a fixation
on the author s experiences. However, a reader s comprehension can be aided through a present author
if prior knowledge is absent. Barthes stress on the importance of interrupting the author reader
relationship is verified through Virginia Woolf s Mrs. Dalloway and the dependence on her identity to
make sense of existing topics of anxiety and repression. Barthes argues that relying on authors
identities to uncover meaning is a limiting explanation for a text. He suggests abandoning
romanticizing writers personalities to disrupt the idea that authors confide in readers by using
characters as vehicles for personal meaning (Barthes 84). Instead, words are separate from the
intentions of the author and act as agents of information in themselves as the action of writing knows a
subject, not a person. Barthes claims a disaffiliation between author and reader should be enforced to
