Effects Of Sodium Chloride On Thikistrodesmus Algae Growth
Title
Sodium Chloride Acts as Environmental Pollutant by Prohibiting Ankistrodesmus Algae Growth
Introduction
Pollution negatively effects an organism s growth because it introduces harmful chemicals or products
that cause damage to its environment. The environmental pollution experiment that was performed
tested the effects of pollutants, more specifically sodium chloride, on Ankistrodesmus, which is a
species of fresh water algae. The experiment investigated the effects of different concentrations of
sodium chloride to examine if it promoted or suppressed Ankistrodesmus growth. The importance of
this experiment was to determine if sodium chloride could be classified as a pollutant for this species
of algae. Experiments conducted in 1968 show ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Data collected over a period of two weeks indicates that sodium chloride prohibits Ankistrodesmus
growth since optical density measurements of each test tube were recorded in a table as well as graph
(Figures 1 and 2). The data shown in this table and graph show that although the Ankistrodesmus
algae grew slightly at some points, overall it decreased in optical density, which means sodium
chloride prevented its growth. This conclusion can also be drawn from the average net gain/losses of
optical densities table and graph. The data collected indicates that the Ankistrodesmus grew more in
the 50% sodium chloride solution, which was treatment group 3 (Figure 4). However, this cannot be
acknowledged since Day 14 s test tube readings were taken using another group s setup.
Consequently, only readings from Day 0 and Day 7 are accurate and usable. Even though treatment
group 3 s data is unreliable it s only one result and accounting this group still leaves treatment groups
1 and 2. By comparing treatment groups 1 and 2 to the control group one can easily conclude that the
optical densities of the two treatment groups decrease (Figures 3 and 4). This indicates that as the
concentrations of sodium chloride increases then the overall growth of algae decreases. Therefore, one
can conclude that from the readings sodium chloride prohibits Ankistrodesmus algae

The Yellow Woman And A Beauty Of The Spirit Summary
The reader is first introduced to Silko, the author, of the Yellow Woman and a Beauty of The Spirit. As
an outcast amongst the modern Laguna Pueblo people, who have unfortunately embraced the white
man s traditions. I had sensed immediately that something about my appearance was not acceptable...
Younger people, people my parents age, seemed to look At the world in a more modern way. The
modern way included racism. (Silko, 61). So Silko was somewhat burdened with the white man s
blood much like Malcolm X, but unlike him, it was not a part of her that she despised. Once the author
established a backstory and told the reader a little bit more about herself, as well as her experiences,
she then goes on to introduce the reader to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Managing strategic change is fundamental to business success
Module No: 368SAM Module Title: Strategy in Action
Student Name: Zhi Long Sia Student ID: 5225745 Strategic change management is the management
decisions and process for long term structure in the organisation. The strategic change management
defined as the process as a systematic approach for managing strategic change which consists of
positioning the firm through strategy and capability planning, real time strategic response through
issue management and systematic management of resistance during strategic implementation (Karami,

change to achieve the required outcome of a change project.
Strategic change management has divided into three elements, which are situational awareness,
supporting structure and strategy analysis. To build up situational awareness had three steps. Firstly,
change characteristic. Understand of the change and who will be impacted by it. Next, organizational
attributes which mean work to understand the people or groups being impacted by the change. The
organizational attributes are related to the history and culture in the organization and describe the
backdrop against which this particular change is being introduced (Thompson, J. Martin, F. 2005:20).

Eliminating deductions, tax credits, and complex tax brackets also simplifies the tax code, making
compliance easier. (Tonya Moreno, CPA, no date) Some proponents of the flat tax would like to see
the Federal Form 1040 replaced by a simple post card on which you write your wages and multiply it
by one tax rate. I can agree with that! Why is it that our current tax plan has to be so difficult to
understand? Another part of the flat tax philosophy is to remove double taxation, by only taxing
earned income. Things like dividends, interest on savings, or capital gains that result from investment
or increases in asset value would not be taxed under a pure flat tax system. (Tonya Moreno, CPA, no

regardless of income bracket. A flat tax applies the same tax rate to all taxpayers, with no deductions
or exemptions allowed. Flat tax system proposes that it would give taxpayers incentive to earn more
because they would not be penalized with a higher tax bracket. If I know that I would take home my

The s Equine And Aquatic Therapy Services
Bethany s Equine and Aquatic Therapy Services, Incorporated, more widely known as BEATS, Inc., is
a treatment facility that utilizes both hippotherapy and aquatic therapy for children with a variety of
disabilities (BEATS, n.d.). Aquatic therapy employs the use of water as a means to treat various
conditions by aiding in reducing chronic pain and enabling a wider range of motion (Oeverman, n.d.).
Hippotherapy is a lesser known method of treating mental, physical, and sensory disabilities by using
horses. When ridden, the movements of the horses spine and hips mimic the movements of walking or
running for those who cannot. Even when stationary, the horses consistent breathing stimulates the
muscles of the individual riding that cannot be as readily stimulated with the use of any other
mechanism (B. Nugent, personal communication, February 25, 2016). This unique form of therapy
enables individuals to work on balance and strength. Above all, hippotherapy is incredibly beneficial
in enhancing the motivation of disabled clients. Because the children are used to clinical settings, they
do not realize that the session is a part of their treatment; instead, they are simply having fun. As the
occupational therapist walks close by, often times engaging the child with the use of props,
photographs, or games, they are still able to work with the child in the areas of need (Applegate,
2011). BEATS incorporates these two methods as a way of engaging disabled children and efficiently

Concentric Zone Theory
I. CONCENTRIC ZONE THEORY Burgess s concentric zone theory was presented in 1924. He
presented a descriptive urban land use model that divided cities in a set of concentric circles
expanding from downtown to the suburbs. His representation came from Burgess observations of
various American cities, especially Chicago. Burgess model assumes a relationship between the socio
economic status of households and the distance from the Central Business District. The further from
the district, the better the quality of housing, but the longer the commuting time. Making this
Accessing better housing is done at the expense of longer commuting times and costs as well.
According to Burgess, urban growth is a process of expansion and reconversion of land uses, with a
tendency of each inner zone to expand in the outer zone. According to Burgess theory, a large city is
divided in six concentric zones, Burgess s model has its cons according to critics. It is said to be a
product of its time. That is, it won t work the same with present cities. The model was developed when
American cities were growing very fast and when motorized transportation was still uncommon as
most people used public transit. Thus the concept cannot be applied to those from the second half to
the twentieth century where highways have enabled urban development to escape the reconversion
process and to take place directly in the suburbs. The model in this case was developed for American
cities and is limited elsewhere.

How Does Jane Austin Use Manners In Pride Of Prejudice
The author Jane Austin published a novel of manners called Pride of Prejudice in 1813. Jane Austin
uses specific vocabulary that deals with issues of manners, upbringing, morality, education, and
marriage in the society of the landed gentry of the British Regency during the 19th century.
Jane Austin used the word caprice, which imply a sudden desire to identify the personality of Mr.
Bennet. Mr. Bennet was seen so odd a mixture of quick parts, sarcastic humor, reserve, and caprice,
that the experience of three and twenty years had been insufficient to make his wife understand his
character (Chapter1, Pg. 5). She also utilized the word mien when she described Bingley s best friend,

By all that I have ever read, I am convinced that it is very common indeed: that human nature is
particularly prone to it, and there are very few of us who do not cherish a feeling of self complacency
on the score of some quality or other, real or imaginary that pride relates to more than just opinion
about oneself (Chapter 5, Pg. 18). Mary gives the reader a lens through which to understand one of the
novel s central conceits. On the surface, Mary offers simple definitions of pride and vanity. Her speech
also indicates that these attributes are very common. Therefore, she implies that it is best to
acknowledge one s tendency towards such behavior. However, at the beginning of Pride and
Prejudice, both Elizabeth and Darcy believe that they are above pride and vanity. They think they can
exist outside these cultural norms, but are ultimately forced to accept that they do in fact exist in the
context of greater society. They have responsibilities to others, and should consider to some extent

Wuthering Heights Vs Thrushcross Grange
Many plays and novels use contrasting places. In Wuthering Heights, Emily Bronte sets the novel
around Wuthering Heights and Thrushcross Grange, two neighboring houses on the Yorkshire Moors
in England. Wuthering Heights and Thrushcross Grange are two different places with completely
different characteristics and vibes.
Wuthering Heights is home to Heathcliff, Catherine, Hindley, and Nelly. Wuthering Heights gives off
a more rebellious, free spirited vibe. It has a more country feel compared to Thrushcross Grange.
Wuthering Heights lacks hospitality and comfort. The people in Wuthering Heights represent more
wild, rebellious characters. Heathcliff and Catherine are great examples of this free spirited, wild, and
rebellious characters in how they run off together and just the way they live their lives, especially
when they were younger before Catherine married Edgar and moved to Thrushcross Grange. The
characters in Wuthering Heights also represent a more middle to lower class household compared to

The Economics Of The Nfl
The Economics of the NFL BY: TY TAYLOR While growing up in the state of Texas I was introduced
to National Football League (NFL) at a very young age. Not only was I obsessed with great players
like Emmitt Smith and Michael Irving, I had a more finical appreciation for the lucrativeness
associated with the NFL. My young adulthood as well as my teenage years was spent playing and
learning football with the aspirations of hopefully making it to the NFL. Unfortunately, my playing
days ended with tryouts at Texas Tech University, but my love for the game has remained stagnant
over the years even till this day. The NFL today is Americas most watched sports league and has taken
the crown as the most lucrative and unique economic force in sports. Forbes offered approximations
stating that on average, the NFL generates more than $6 9 billion a year in revenues alone. A third of
the individual franchises in the league were appraised at over more than $1 billion while the other
franchises average nine figures or higher. The NFL as an organization generates its revenues through a
multitude of ways ranging from huge television contracts, in stadium ticket sales, advertising ads paid
for by sponsors and merchandise. Their business model unlike most other leagues, is centered on a
hard salary cap on player contracts which provides cost certainty with its sponsors. In this paper, I will
examine the economic and historical narrative associated with the growth of the NFL s

Violence as an Expression of Free Will in A Clockwork Orange
This essay will deal with the subject of free choice, which is the main topic of the novel, A Clockwork
Orange . This significant problem is already indicated in the very first line of the text when an
unknown voice asks Alex and certainly by that the reader What s it going to be then, eh ? (13). Being
repeated at the beginning of the second part and at the beginning of the very last chapter of the third
part this question sets up the thematic frame of the book. It asks the protagonist what he is going to
chose, good or evil. Likewise it addresses to the reader to consider his own choice, too (14).

A similar method of characterization is applied to Alex antagonist, the free thinker F. Alexander.
Though he is generally a charming person, fighting against the nasty government, he changes into a
furious, revengeful old man as he finally recognizes Alex.
With this kind of characterization Burgess takes away over plus sympathy for F. Alexander and
unmasks him as a traitor of his own ideals .Mr. Alexander s complacent and blasé style of writing
makes his ambitions somehow suspect (16). So does his behaviour as he recognizes Alex. He
promptly seems to forget his charity for mankind and the victims of supreme power (17).
As we now know that Alex and F. Alexander are the principal heterogeneous pairing of the novel, we
see that they hold different ethical and moral attitudes. Yet it is impossible to divide them up into good
and evil. Both of them carry features of a benefactor, respectively a malefactor. Thereby the story
achieves authenticity as the characters correspond closer to real human nature.
Besides, this character constellation expresses the general relation of good and evil in the world and
our possibility to make a choice between them.
This is demonstrated by the similar names of

The Five Characteristics Of Tom Otterness
Tom Otterness was born in Wichita, Kansas in 1952. He moved to New York City in 1970 to study at
Arts Students League. He is a artist who s work I find really interesting. He is now world renowned
for his unique sculptures being very oval in shape and funny looking. They are made of caster or metal
and his sculptures are always doing some activity or motion.
His beautiful artworks are now displayed in many institutions around the country being Brooklyn
Museum, the Guggenheim Museum, the Whitney Museum of American Art and the Museum of
Modern Art. Otterness has even been named the best public art sculpture for his works.
He gained this reputation through making numerous public sculptures of human beings or animal
figures that display the American society. Otterness showcased the American society by creating
sculptures that are, Disarmingly cute and cartoonish, and underpinned by art history, popular culture,
and a democratic vision, his characters mock societal groups. This has resulted in him populating
numerous public areas with his creativity of his sculptures.
According to Tom Otterness his artwork can be distinguished into five characteristics which are: blue
collar workers, white collar workers, cops, radicals and rich people. This are the characteristics he
bases his sculptures on. Which results in the marvelous figures that are now on display around New
York especially the subway.

women and question the reader, where they have been in the entire book. As a matter of fact, I agree

The Competitors Of American Express
Current Rivalry
The existing competitors of American Express include Discover Financial Services, Visa, Inc., and
MasterCard Worldwide. Unlike American Express and Discover, Visa, and MasterCard are not
financers, which means these companies are intermediaries and they don t directly finance credit card
transactions (Thangavelu, 2015). That being said, Discover is more in American Express strategic
group because they both issue cards and work within the same strategic group, so American Express
and Discover compete more directly.
Potential Entrants
Not only are there current rivals in every industry, there is always the threat and opportunity for
potential entrants to come to the industry. But not just anyone can enter an industry easily, as there are
barriers to entry that will prevent some competitors to entering a market. American Express has
worked hard to set itself apart from its competitors and create a product differentiation. Because
American Express is in the closed loop network, being the issuer and acquirer, they attract more of an
affluent customer base who are more likely to spend more on their transactions. Unlike other card
companies, American Express relies on their primary source of revenue being the discount fee that
they charge the companies that accept its cards. These fees are charged as a percentage of the charge
amount processed for the merchant (Forbes, 2014). With that being said, this means American Express

Presently Simple Getaways uses paper based workflow in order to process standard administrative
tasks, such as vacation requests, sick leave and employee records. The desired process involves this
workflow taking place electronically. Rather than filling out a paper forms and physically delivering
them to the appropriate party, computerized forms should be made available with the option to be
delivered immediately.
TECHNOLOGICAL SOLUTION
There are a variety of hosted cloud based services that can fulfil the document management and
communication needs of Simple Getaways. The recommendation for Simple Getaways is to use a
service called TeamLab Office. This service was chosen for its numerous features, ease of use, quick
implementation and reasonable pricing.
TeamLab Office will be used for document storage instead of the individual file servers located at

When the video begins, the scene is very futuristic and then the amusement park is shown with the

Arrow Of God And Smoke Signals
Arrow of God and Smoke Signals have similar patterns of fiction, archetypes and philosophies. If you
notice Campells typical hero sequence of actions can be detected in both Arrow of God and Smoke
Signals. There is a certain typical hero sequence of actions which can be detected in stories from all
over the world from many periods of history. Essentially, it might even be said there is but one
archetypal mythic hero whose life has been replicated in many lands by many people. (Archetypes pg
6) This sequence is made apparent in Arrow of God. The birth of Ezeulu is unusual because he is born
into priesthood. This priesthood later requires him to travel to Okperi. While in Okperi, Ezeulu
confronts his ego simultaneously while conflicting with the imposing British Government. Ezeulu
then returns to Umuaro having been reborn psychologically.
Campells typical hero sequence holds truth in Smoke Signals as well. Victor s unusual birth in Smoke
Signals is symbolic; he is saved from a tragic house fire as a young baby. This house fire is the same
event that drives his father away from the Coeur d Alene Indian Reservation. Inevitably this later
requires Victor to leave home and confront his ego while retrieving his father s remains.
In both Arrow of God and Smoke Signals the events after the heroes birth are considerably unusual.
This unusual birth is later the motive for the hero to leave home which ultimately results in the heroes
confronting their egos. The heroes then return

Alan Greenspan
Alan Greenspan Alan Greenspan, the chairman of the Federal Reserve, has always fascinated the
financial community. Whatever he says can make or break the markets. He is a highly educated
economist with many years of experience. People seek for his advice and obey his judgments. His
proclamations are repeated and expounded upon. Greenspan is loved, feared, and never ever
questioned. As a result of being a strong chairman of the Fed, he has made a difference the U.S.
economy through his way of dealing with inflation. Also, the presidency no longer counterbalances or
even criticizes the Fed. First of all, we will consider his background. Alan Greenspan was born on

economy. Economist Allen Sinai said, The Greenspan Fed is the all time champion in American
history (Church par. 1). In 1996 and 1997 he didn t do much of anything to the interest rates. From
February 1996 to December 1997, the Fed made only one change in interest rates: a quarter point
increase in March of 1997. He resisted pressure from inside and outside the Fed to slow down the
economy. Instead of being overly concerned about inflation, he seemed to have accepted the idea that
deep changes in the economy have made sustained growth possible without pushing prices up.
(Church par. 2) Because of Alan Greenspan, the Fed has learned to be more patient. It allows the
economy to grow faster than expected without putting on the brakes by raising interest rates.
However, Greenspan always stays on guard. He is a renowned numbers cruncher who keeps tabs on
the most obscure corners of the economy. Robin Leight Pemberton said that he was likely to back up
his predictions by citing such obscure data as vacuum cleaner sales in Iowa (Church Par 3). Greenspan
is reaping the praise of the financial community. There is a widely held sense that he has
masterminded the nation s prosperity. As many people are becoming stockholders, they regard him as

Explain sequence, selection and iteration as used in computer programming. Sequence in
programming is when an event or action takes place in the program leads to another action which has

autism spectrum disorder and are differentiated through the use of numerical scales to describe
severity of effect. Primary diagnostic tests used are the Checklist for Autism Spectrum Disorder,
Childhood Autism Rating Scale (CARS), and Gilliam Asperger s Disorder Scale (GADS). The
Checklist for Autism Spectrum Disorder is the only checklist or rating scale designed to evaluate
children with either low or high functioning autism spectrum disorder. The Childhood Autism Rating
Scale or CARS is used because it has the best psychometric support for children with low functioning

Carrie and Walter seemed like they had no purpose. Their lives were a reflection of their hearts, lonely
and incomplete. Both Walter and Carrie were lost and found when the refugees came into their lives.
In The Visiter Walter came to his purpose in a different way then Carrie in The Good Lie . The way
they came to their purpose really depended on their situation they were in, the love they found and
their past experiences. Carrie was a lone wolf in a huge city. She only looked out for herself and lived
just to get by. It seemed like she was ignorant of the world around her. At first, she really didn t care
about the lost boys. She was only interested in doing her job, completely forgetting that they were in a
new environment that they were accustomed to. Many times she assumed things and was insensitive
to their situation. She found her purpose when she looked past herself and started to do her own
research on them. Walter was in an endless loop of doing the same thing over and over every day. His

John Stith Pemberton was a man who was well respected by the state s medical establishment. He was
known for being the inventor of the beverage Coca Cola and he grew up in Atlanta, Georgia. He spent
most of his youthful years in Rome, Georgia after being born in Knoxville, Georgia in 1831.
Pemberton did his studies at Southern Botanico Medical College of Georgia in 1850. He made a

Pemberton Company, which gave him a huge salary, did not run so smoothly. The reason why
Pemberton s business did not run very well was due to the period of prohibition during the year 1885.
Since Atlanta prohibited the use of alcohol in 1885, Pemberton had to swap the French Wine Coca
formula by removing the word French Wine (Biography John S. Pemberton Inventor of Coca Cola).
Cocaine, being the originally formula used for Coca Cola, is no longer the main content for Coca
Cola. Cocaine was then replaced with sugar, caffeine, starch, citric acid, and oil fruits. For the main
ingredient, Pemberton had to find and collect seeds cola plant native to tropical regions of West Africa
and the tree coca leaves from South Africa (Biography John S. Pemberton Inventor of Coca Cola).
Pemberton dried both the cola nut and coca leaves manually. Pemberton made his business successful
and the potion he had created was revealed as he had hoped (Biography John S. Pemberton Inventor
of Coca Cola). Then Pemberton s colleague Robinson came up with a name for the potion and he
suggested the name Coca Cola . Pemberton approved the name Coca Cola . The Coca Cola formula,
coming from Pemberton, was named Merchandise 7X , or it was abbreviated M7X. The naming of the

Case Study Hernandez s Living Condition
As a social worker assessing this case. I would conduct an in depth assessment of the Hernandez s

concerned with is having an 81 year old woman and 84 year old Alzheimer s man renting a one
bedroom basement apartment from their son. This is alarming to me, and I would like to understand
the reason for them having to live in the basement, and not on the same floor with the son. Also, their
son seems to be withdrawn and is not emotionally available to his parents. It found that they live in an
unsafe neighborhood so I would visit the couple s apartment to examine the conditions, do evaluate if

client willing s to self determination and allowing the client to express her concerns before taken
action. It is evident that Ms. Hernandez condition is acute and therefore needs to be addressed as soon

first thing that I would have done is researched a temporary guardian who would be appointed to care
for Mr. Hernandez who is also of the same culture and will do so until Ms. Hernandez recover. Then I
would advocate for getting them in a Medicaid waiver funded home and community based service
program that will assist them in meeting their health needs.
My insight that I gained from the Hernandez case is trying to assess and evaluate the underlying
issues, challenges and the dilemma that this couple is facing. This case is challenging from both the
Hernandez family, as well as from the health care delivery system. Mr. and Mrs. Hernandez is not
receiving adequate care because of the barriers to finances, housing, and health condition. The way in
which health care is delivered to the Hernandez does not meet their basic needs; rather it limits

Pro And Negative Effects Of Islamophobia

However, Islamophobia picked up again when these European powers, which were mainly Christians,

Islamophobia already exists is not deniable and Islamic radicals are all over the world growing like

civil wars or hate news in media make everything even worse, in my opinion, this time, its west who
should learn from the east. Instead of being afraid of Muslims and Islam west should try to learn about
Islamic cultures and show respect to it while accepting it differences. Also, it will be so effective if
western society shows they are putting difference between radical Muslims and others ones. West

Justice In Medieval Europe
All through history, many complex and non complex questions come about. Many of these questions
like, what is justice? These questions are very complex and are hard to answer. This is because the
answers change because of many factors like time, evidence, place and ideas. For example, your idea
of justice may be different then someone from a different culture or place as you. Although, overall
there is no definite answer to the questions. The answer may be generally the same. For example, what
is justice? Justice is the maintenance or administration of what is just especially by the impartial
adjustment of conflicting claims or the assignment of merited rewards or punishments. This can differ
from person to person based on their beliefs, but overall be generally the same. Justice in Medieval

These documents helped resolve conflicts and establish order, but also showed inequalities of some of
the systems. Medieval European law was based on old Germanic ideas and customs, but it was also
influenced by the ancient Roman law system, these ideas are very complex and consisted of horrible
punishments.
Justice in Medieval Europe started from the fall of the Western Modern Empire, it became very
difficult to manage law and order situations in the smaller kingdoms initiated by the Barbarians. The
spread of religious movements of Christianity and Islamism made it even more challenging. To give
protection of the kingdom, kings transferred power to knights and barons. The lower class of ordinary
people like peasants and serfs accepted their rule to attain protection against invaders and rival
kingdoms. This gave rise to feudalism and their overall justice system. European Feudalism was made
from elements of the roman Regine. Roman villas and their land were granted to military leaders on a

The Ice Of Old Vodka Bottles
As I took another drink from my glass, I glanced at the bartender another look assuming he knew what
I wanted. The bar was old. You would look over the counter and see dust covering old vodka bottles. I
hate this bar. It was just another Friday I have wasted. The bar was sticky with liquor, the stools were
squeaky with every move. For a bar smelling like booze and vomit, it was cramped on a Friday night.
This wasn t my first breakup, I ve had many before. There was Jenny. She was protective, always
checking my phone thinking there was always another, she ended that one. There was also Ashley. She
was sweet, maybe too sweet. She was always wanting to do something for me whether it was buying
me a golden watch or love, it was always something. I quickly ended that relationship. Besides those
girls there was much more, currently it s Amy. Like Ashley she was nice, but like Jenny, kinda crazy.
What broke me off was her long towards commitment she had. I don t like commitment, commitment
means being trapped and being trapped means no freedom. Commitment for me, is a big no no. As the
bartender slid me another drink someone stopped me in my tracks. It was a girl, she had short jean
shorts and a KISS top on, she looked around the age of 22, which was fine by me considering I ll be

Comparing Adam And Eve In Islam And Christianity
Adam and Eve in Islam and Christianity The Bible and the Quran tell the story of the creation of the
first man, Adam and first women Eve or in Arabic Hawa. The background behind Adam And Eve are
similar but different in Islam and Christianity. It begins by telling the people how the world started and
how we as humans were created. Christians believe that Adam was made from dust, Muslims believe
that Adam was made from Soil. In the Bible, the creation of Eve says she was the only woman created
from a man. The Qur an does not say that Eve was created from Adam s rib, but says that she was
created from of like nature. The creation of Eve is not described in the Quran. The Quran says that
Eve was created for Adam to have a mate and that she was also made from the same nature and soul.
Direct quote from the Quran about woman Treat women kindly. Woman has been created from a rib
and the most curved part of the rib is the uppermost. If you try to straighten it, you will break it and if
you leave it alone, it will remain curved. So, treat women kindly (Al Bukhari and Muslim). The rib
reflects that all women differed from Adam and was unique. The bible describes Eve made from
Adams rib to be Adams companion. Directly quoted from the bible And the rib that the Lord God had
taken from the man he made into a woman and brought her to the man (Genesis 2:22). They were both
made to fulfill each other and to not be alone on earth. The similarity of the two religions is that they

The Culture at Google
Culture at Google Has there not enough been spoken about the culture at Google?
The core of this culture lies in the Founder s philosophy. Google is ruled by its founders. In the book
What would Google do? by Jeff Jarvis, there is wonderful line that goes like There is an inverse
relationship between control and trust. Trust is established in the process of attracting people to the
site and more people that come, the more companies flock to the internet and thus the search engine.
This is called a two sided network effect. One cannot survive without the other.
This mutual relationship based on transparency and sharing is the core of the movement. Google
served as the platform necessary for the interaction between both the sides (the producers and
consumers). It gave people control and they used it. The founders of Google worked on this principle.
Google is not a slave to Wall Street The reason being Google builds a corporate culture that will
deliver its mission, and that it is principally organized to drive innovation.
Practices at Google
Since Engineers form half of the organization and as they like to do cool things, they can bid to work
on anything they want to after their first year at Google. In this case the popular projects get more
attention whereas the lesser popular ones don t get attention. It is on the Project leads to sell their ideas
to the engineers so that it appeals to their engineers.
Innovation is the key driver at Google. As I mentioned

the fastest growing part of Wal Mart, with nearly 30 percent sales growth in June, compared with the

  • 3. Effects Of Sodium Chloride On Thikistrodesmus Algae Growth Title Sodium Chloride Acts as Environmental Pollutant by Prohibiting Ankistrodesmus Algae Growth Introduction Pollution negatively effects an organism s growth because it introduces harmful chemicals or products that cause damage to its environment. The environmental pollution experiment that was performed tested the effects of pollutants, more specifically sodium chloride, on Ankistrodesmus, which is a species of fresh water algae. The experiment investigated the effects of different concentrations of sodium chloride to examine if it promoted or suppressed Ankistrodesmus growth. The importance of this experiment was to determine if sodium chloride could be classified as a pollutant for this species of algae. Experiments conducted in 1968 show ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Data collected over a period of two weeks indicates that sodium chloride prohibits Ankistrodesmus growth since optical density measurements of each test tube were recorded in a table as well as graph (Figures 1 and 2). The data shown in this table and graph show that although the Ankistrodesmus algae grew slightly at some points, overall it decreased in optical density, which means sodium chloride prevented its growth. This conclusion can also be drawn from the average net gain/losses of optical densities table and graph. The data collected indicates that the Ankistrodesmus grew more in the 50% sodium chloride solution, which was treatment group 3 (Figure 4). However, this cannot be acknowledged since Day 14 s test tube readings were taken using another group s setup. Consequently, only readings from Day 0 and Day 7 are accurate and usable. Even though treatment group 3 s data is unreliable it s only one result and accounting this group still leaves treatment groups 1 and 2. By comparing treatment groups 1 and 2 to the control group one can easily conclude that the optical densities of the two treatment groups decrease (Figures 3 and 4). This indicates that as the concentrations of sodium chloride increases then the overall growth of algae decreases. Therefore, one can conclude that from the readings sodium chloride prohibits Ankistrodesmus algae ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

(Tonya Moreno, CPA, no date) Some proponents of the flat tax would like to see the Federal Form 1040 replaced by a simple post card on which you write your wages and multiply it by one tax rate. I can agree with that! Why is it that our current tax plan has to be so difficult to understand? Another part of the flat tax philosophy is to remove double taxation, by only taxing earned income. Things like dividends, interest on savings, or capital gains that result from investment or increases in asset value would not be taxed under a pure flat tax system. (Tonya Moreno, CPA, no date) Investopedia.com defines Flat tax as a system that applies the same tax rate to every taxpayer regardless of income bracket. A flat tax applies the same tax rate to all taxpayers, with no deductions or exemptions allowed. Flat tax system proposes that it would give taxpayers incentive to earn more because they would not be penalized with a higher tax bracket. • 10. The s Equine And Aquatic Therapy Services Bethany s Equine and Aquatic Therapy Services, Incorporated, more widely known as BEATS, Inc., is a treatment facility that utilizes both hippotherapy and aquatic therapy for children with a variety of disabilities (BEATS, n.d.). Aquatic therapy employs the use of water as a means to treat various conditions by aiding in reducing chronic pain and enabling a wider range of motion (Oeverman, n.d.). Hippotherapy is a lesser known method of treating mental, physical, and sensory disabilities by using horses. When ridden, the movements of the horses spine and hips mimic the movements of walking or running for those who cannot. Even when stationary, the horses consistent breathing stimulates the muscles of the individual riding that cannot be as readily stimulated with the use of any other mechanism (B. Nugent, personal communication, February 25, 2016). This unique form of therapy enables individuals to work on balance and strength. Above all, hippotherapy is incredibly beneficial in enhancing the motivation of disabled clients. Because the children are used to clinical settings, they do not realize that the session is a part of their treatment; instead, they are simply having fun. As the occupational therapist walks close by, often times engaging the child with the use of props, photographs, or games, they are still able to work with the child in the areas of need (Applegate, 2011). BEATS incorporates these two methods as a way of engaging disabled children and efficiently ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 11. Concentric Zone Theory I. CONCENTRIC ZONE THEORY Burgess s concentric zone theory was presented in 1924. He presented a descriptive urban land use model that divided cities in a set of concentric circles expanding from downtown to the suburbs. His representation came from Burgess observations of various American cities, especially Chicago. Burgess model assumes a relationship between the socio economic status of households and the distance from the Central Business District. The further from the district, the better the quality of housing, but the longer the commuting time. Making this Accessing better housing is done at the expense of longer commuting times and costs as well. According to Burgess, urban growth is a process of expansion and reconversion of land uses, with a tendency of each inner zone to expand in the outer zone. According to Burgess theory, a large city is divided in six concentric zones, Burgess s model has its cons according to critics. It is said to be a product of its time. That is, it won t work the same with present cities. The model was developed when American cities were growing very fast and when motorized transportation was still uncommon as most people used public transit. Thus the concept cannot be applied to those from the second half to the twentieth century where highways have enabled urban development to escape the reconversion process and to take place directly in the suburbs. The model in this case was developed for American cities and is limited elsewhere. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Jane Austin uses specific vocabulary that deals with issues of manners, upbringing, morality, education, and marriage in the society of the landed gentry of the British Regency during the 19th century. Jane Austin used the word caprice, which imply a sudden desire to identify the personality of Mr. Bennet. Mr. Bennet was seen so odd a mixture of quick parts, sarcastic humor, reserve, and caprice, that the experience of three and twenty years had been insufficient to make his wife understand his character (Chapter1, Pg. 5). By all that I have ever read, I am convinced that it is very common indeed: that human nature is particularly prone to it, and there are very few of us who do not cherish a feeling of self complacency on the score of some quality or other, real or imaginary that pride relates to more than just opinion about oneself (Chapter 5, Pg. 18). Mary gives the reader a lens through which to understand one of the novel s central conceits. On the surface, Mary offers simple definitions of pride and vanity. Her speech also indicates that these attributes are very common. Therefore, she implies that it is best to acknowledge one s tendency towards such behavior. However, at the beginning of Pride and Prejudice, both Elizabeth and Darcy believe that they are above pride and vanity. In Wuthering Heights, Emily Bronte sets the novel around Wuthering Heights and Thrushcross Grange, two neighboring houses on the Yorkshire Moors in England. Wuthering Heights and Thrushcross Grange are two different places with completely different characteristics and vibes. Wuthering Heights is home to Heathcliff, Catherine, Hindley, and Nelly. Wuthering Heights gives off a more rebellious, free spirited vibe. It has a more country feel compared to Thrushcross Grange. Wuthering Heights lacks hospitality and comfort. The people in Wuthering Heights represent more wild, rebellious characters. Heathcliff and Catherine are great examples of this free spirited, wild, and rebellious characters in how they run off together and just the way they live their lives, especially when they were younger before Catherine married Edgar and moved to Thrushcross Grange. My young adulthood as well as my teenage years was spent playing and learning football with the aspirations of hopefully making it to the NFL. Unfortunately, my playing days ended with tryouts at Texas Tech University, but my love for the game has remained stagnant over the years even till this day. The NFL today is Americas most watched sports league and has taken the crown as the most lucrative and unique economic force in sports. Forbes offered approximations stating that on average, the NFL generates more than $6 9 billion a year in revenues alone. A third of the individual franchises in the league were appraised at over more than $1 billion while the other franchises average nine figures or higher. The NFL as an organization generates its revenues through a multitude of ways ranging from huge television contracts, in stadium ticket sales, advertising ads paid for by sponsors and merchandise. Since Atlanta prohibited the use of alcohol in 1885, Pemberton had to swap the French Wine Coca formula by removing the word French Wine (Biography John S. Pemberton Inventor of Coca Cola). Cocaine, being the originally formula used for Coca Cola, is no longer the main content for Coca Cola. Cocaine was then replaced with sugar, caffeine, starch, citric acid, and oil fruits. For the main ingredient, Pemberton had to find and collect seeds cola plant native to tropical regions of West Africa and the tree coca leaves from South Africa (Biography John S. Pemberton Inventor of Coca Cola). Pemberton dried both the cola nut and coca leaves manually. Pemberton made his business successful and the potion he had created was revealed as he had hoped (Biography John S. Pemberton Inventor of Coca Cola). Then Pemberton s colleague Robinson came up with a name for the potion and he suggested the name Coca Cola . Pemberton approved the name Coca Cola . • 35. Case Study Hernandez s Living Condition As a social worker assessing this case. I would conduct an in depth assessment of the Hernandez s living condition. I believe that many unanswered questions need to be resolved. The issue that I am concerned with is having an 81 year old woman and 84 year old Alzheimer s man renting a one bedroom basement apartment from their son. This is alarming to me, and I would like to understand the reason for them having to live in the basement, and not on the same floor with the son. Also, their son seems to be withdrawn and is not emotionally available to his parents. It found that they live in an unsafe neighborhood so I would visit the couple s apartment to examine the conditions, do evaluate if Ms. Hernandez fall could have resulted from a hazardous ... As a social worker, it is essential to explore client willing s to self determination and allowing the client to express her concerns before taken action. It is evident that Ms. Hernandez condition is acute and therefore needs to be addressed as soon as possible. She needs to be reassured that her husband needs will be taken into account as well. The first thing that I would have done is researched a temporary guardian who would be appointed to care for Mr. Hernandez who is also of the same culture and will do so until Ms. Hernandez recover. Then I would advocate for getting them in a Medicaid waiver funded home and community based service program that will assist them in meeting their health needs. My insight that I gained from the Hernandez case is trying to assess and evaluate the underlying issues, challenges and the dilemma that this couple is facing. This case is challenging from both the Hernandez family, as well as from the health care delivery system. Mr. and Mrs. Hernandez is not receiving adequate care because of the barriers to finances, housing, and health condition. The way in which health care is delivered to the Hernandez does not meet their basic needs; rather it limits ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

However, Islamophobia picked up again when these European powers, which were mainly Christians, decrease again after World War II. While European countries and some of Asian ones and USA were burning in World War II fire most of the Islamic nations being far of WW heart had time to become industrialized and powerful in their own right. The fact that Islamophobia already exists is not deniable and Islamic radicals are all over the world growing like cancer especially in Europe. The point that we should keep in mind that all pervious strategies like civil wars or hate news in media make everything even worse, in my opinion, this time, its west who should learn from the east. Instead of being afraid of Muslims and Islam west should try to learn about Islamic cultures and show respect to it while accepting it differences. Also, it will be so effective if western society shows they are putting difference between radical Muslims and others ones. Medieval European law was based on old Germanic ideas and customs, but it was also influenced by the ancient Roman law system, these ideas are very complex and consisted of horrible punishments. Justice in Medieval Europe started from the fall of the Western Modern Empire, it became very difficult to manage law and order situations in the smaller kingdoms initiated by the Barbarians. The spread of religious movements of Christianity and Islamism made it even more challenging. To give protection of the kingdom, kings transferred power to knights and barons. The lower class of ordinary people like peasants and serfs accepted their rule to attain protection against invaders and rival kingdoms. This gave rise to feudalism and their overall justice system. • 38. The Ice Of Old Vodka Bottles As I took another drink from my glass, I glanced at the bartender another look assuming he knew what I wanted. The bar was old. You would look over the counter and see dust covering old vodka bottles. I hate this bar. It was just another Friday I have wasted. The bar was sticky with liquor, the stools were squeaky with every move. For a bar smelling like booze and vomit, it was cramped on a Friday night. This wasn t my first breakup, I ve had many before. There was Jenny. She was protective, always checking my phone thinking there was always another, she ended that one. There was also Ashley. She was sweet, maybe too sweet. She was always wanting to do something for me whether it was buying me a golden watch or love, it was always something. I quickly ended that relationship. Besides those girls there was much more, currently it s Amy. Like Ashley she was nice, but like Jenny, kinda crazy. What broke me off was her long towards commitment she had. I don t like commitment, commitment means being trapped and being trapped means no freedom. Commitment for me, is a big no no. As the bartender slid me another drink someone stopped me in my tracks. It was a girl, she had short jean shorts and a KISS top on, she looked around the age of 22, which was fine by me considering I ll be 23 in November. She had long blonde hair that swayed as she walked. She looked around the bar trying to find a seat and noticed the empty one next to me, she sat down and pulled out ... The background behind Adam And Eve are similar but different in Islam and Christianity. It begins by telling the people how the world started and how we as humans were created. Christians believe that Adam was made from dust, Muslims believe that Adam was made from Soil. In the Bible, the creation of Eve says she was the only woman created from a man. The Qur an does not say that Eve was created from Adam s rib, but says that she was created from of like nature. The creation of Eve is not described in the Quran. The Quran says that Eve was created for Adam to have a mate and that she was also made from the same nature and soul. Direct quote from the Quran about woman Treat women kindly. Woman has been created from a rib and the most curved part of the rib is the uppermost. If you try to straighten it, you will break it and if you leave it alone, it will remain curved. So, treat women kindly (Al Bukhari and Muslim). The rib reflects that all women differed from Adam and was unique. The bible describes Eve made from Adams rib to be Adams companion. Directly quoted from the bible And the rib that the Lord God had taken from the man he made into a woman and brought her to the man (Genesis 2:22). • 40. The Culture at Google Culture at Google Has there not enough been spoken about the culture at Google? The core of this culture lies in the Founder s philosophy. Google is ruled by its founders. In the book What would Google do? by Jeff Jarvis, there is wonderful line that goes like There is an inverse relationship between control and trust. Trust is established in the process of attracting people to the site and more people that come, the more companies flock to the internet and thus the search engine. This is called a two sided network effect. One cannot survive without the other. This mutual relationship based on transparency and sharing is the core of the movement. Google served as the platform necessary for the interaction between both the sides (the producers and consumers). It gave people control and they used it. The founders of Google worked on this principle. Google is not a slave to Wall Street The reason being Google builds a corporate culture that will deliver its mission, and that it is principally organized to drive innovation. Practices at Google Since Engineers form half of the organization and as they like to do cool things, they can bid to work on anything they want to after their first year at Google. In this case the popular projects get more attention whereas the lesser popular ones don t get attention. It is on the Project leads to sell their ideas to the engineers so that it appeals to their engineers. Innovation is the key driver at Google. As I mentioned ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Starting from scratch 14 years ago, Wal Mart International has grown into a $63 billion business. It is the fastest growing part of Wal Mart, with nearly 30 percent sales growth in June, compared with the same month last year. Even subtracting one time gains from acquisitions, it grew at nearly 12 percent, about double the rate of Wal Mart s American stores. Sustaining that pace is critical for Wal Mart, because high fuel prices have helped sap the buying power of Americans. In June, store traffic in its home market declined. Wal Mart estimated that its sales in the United States in stores open at least one year would increase only 1 percent to 3 percent in July.
