Introduction From 1996 to 1998 Ice Fili suffered from huge increases in costs that gradually ate at
their margin at alarming rates. Even worse, from 1999 to 2001 they had a huge decrease in sales and
got into liquidity problems. The economic situation for Fili seems to be doomed even more when you
add growing and strong competitors to the mix. But what caused all this? In the following problem
analyisis, we will discuss basically 4 categories of issues that Ice Fili is undergoing: ... Show more

Ice Fili cannot rely on their contractors to have the same level of motivation to constantly be
supplying retailers and thus cannot hope to compete against firms like Nestle with their existing
strategy. Essential to having a working distribution strategy is choosing where to distribute. Currently
Ice Fili focuses on supplying their products to kiosks, gastronoms, and minimarts. They seem to be
ignoring the rapidly growing trend in sales for larger quantities of product being sold in supermarkets.
Competitors such as Nestle have been supplying supermarkets internationally for quite some time and
thus have a distinct advantage over domestic Russian producers. This will serve as either a major
threat or a major opportunity for Ice Fili as this market is fairly new to Russia and has yet to be
divided up between competitors. Marketing Lack of ability to build up strong marketing mix is the
common and the most vulnerable point amongst Russian producers. Contrarily, foreign companies
have been showing off their matured marketing skills in the industry. This is attributable to the fact
that Russian managements are not used to building marketing strategy, having used to enjoy a time
without pressure of marketing under the state run economy system during Soviet era. Consequently
the company s marketing mix is uncoordinated to the extent that its brand identity is ambiguous. The
most critical thing that has blurred

Culture Of Kuwait Culture
Kuwait Culture The term culture is one of those words that we use routinely, but what is it exactly?
Basically, culture is the multipart overall of a society which includes everything that gives a society an
identity. Culture may consist of customs, languages, and religion beliefs amid other characteristics that
are ordinary to people of a nation/region. What is predominantly interesting about cultures is that each
culture, no matter where it is located, shares at least five basic characteristics. However, every culture
has its own distinct characteristics that differentiate it from the others. One of such cultures is the
Kuwait culture. This culture awareness essay will attempt to emphasis on cultural aspects of the
people of Kuwait while drawing your attention to the social culture annalists of Kuwait nation/region s
physical geography, weather analysts, current and passed military conflicts and its impact on the
society, and their civil concern. The Kuwaiti culture is dominant in Kuwait where the people originate.
They were primary drawn to the Kuwait Bay region because of the resources from the sea, and
majority of the population still lives within a short distance of the first coastal colonies. Kuwait exists
in the middle east which borders the Persian Gulf, sandwiched between Saudi Arabia and Iraq.

The 1950 s And The National Hot Rod Association (NHRA)
Racing has been around for many years. People are addicted to the speed and the configuration of
racing. Racing has proven to be a great way to get people together and race cars or according to the
video even horses. Racing has come extremely far, as it used to be illegal to do and now people are
making a living off of it. According to the video, the year of 1949 was the first organized drag race
ever. The racing environment was extremely different then than now. Back then, there were no entry
fees or safety precautions taken. Now there are huge entry fees and may requirements that must be
met for the race car and driver to ensure safety. Racing exploded in the 1950 s and the National Hot
Rod Association (NHRA) was created to ensure that there ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This would ensure that the racing was protected, and it is still around today. The NHRA helped gain
respect for drag racing. I think that the NHRA was a great start for racing. It helped organize races and
make it more respectable to people who may not understand the love and passion some have for
racing. The NHRA used their safety safari to go all over the country to hot rod races, teaching them
everything from selling tickets to the safety of racing the hot rods. I think that this really helped racing
take off. These people have now learned how to make the sport safer and gain money in order to
proceed with their passion for racing. This also helped the racers gain sponsors such as Coca Cola and
Pepsi. Racing relies off of sponsors now. There has been so many technological advancements in
racing, that not the average person can afford to go out and be competitive enough to win without
help. When I think about sponsors for racing, almost every single huge corporation sponsors some sort
of race car. The racers are helping the sponsors get more business, while the sponsors support the race
car driver so they can make it to the track. My family has a deep history in open wheel dirt track
racing, and they would not have been able to compete for so long without the help of sponsors. Racing
had now become some people s way of making a living. They were able to make enough money to
support themselves, but still struggled trying to get to and from each race. The NHRA toured to
England to expand the racing dream to people all over the world. I think this was a great move by the
NHRA because the more people that are interested the more money involved. This video only proves
that racing is advancing and becoming more enjoyed all over the

Pituitary Gland Disorders Case Study
Anterior pituitary gland disorders Pathophysiology
The pituitary gland is located at the base of the brain in a protective pocket of the sphenoid bone. The
pituitary gland is about 1 cm in diameter and is divided into the anterior lobe and posterior lobe. The
anterior lobe is responsible for secreting major hormones that regulates most body functions. Their
secretion is regulated by hypothalamic releasing and inhibitory factors delivered via portal capillaries,
and by negative feedback inhibition of the cognate hormones produced by target endocrine glands
such as the thyroid and adrenal cortex (Lewis, 2011). Etiology

John Locke and the Unequal Distribution of Wealth Essay
It is stated by John Locke that in the state of nature no man may take more then he can consume.
...make use of any advantage of life before it spoils...whatever is beyond this is more than his share
and belongs to others. Nothing was made by God for man to spoil or destroy. (Locke 14) Locke then
goes on to say, God gave the world to man ... for their benefit and the greatest conveniences of life
they were capable to draw from it, it cannot be supposed he meant it should always remain common
and uncultivated. He gave it to the use of the industrious and rational and labor was to be his title...
(Lock 15)
Both of statements can stand alone, each could be argued. For starters, it is not only selfish to take
more ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Which brings us to the head of the serpent.
In Locke s opinion the idea of fair unequal distribution of wealth came about with the creation of
money. Before money, things could not be saved fairly. Over stocking by some would lead to spoilage,
and leave others with nothing. Once money was introduced though, this allowed the accumulation of
wealth, without waste, so Locke says ...thus came in the use of money some lasting thing that men
might keep without spoiling, and that by mutual consent men would take in exchange for the truly
useful but perishable supports of life. (Locke 20). Now one man could have, ... a disproportionate and
unequal possession of the earth... (And) ...fairly possess more land than he himself can use the product
of...(Locke 22) . The word fairly in that last statement should jump off the page.
When speaking on the state of nature Locke s main concern is spoilage or waste of commodities, but
with the introduction of money he sees this problem solved. When in fact a floodgate for spoilage and
waste is opened. Today the market is flooded with products, and products supposed to be better then
the other product, the leading brand, and the other leading brand. Combine this with the introduction
of digital property such as television and the Internet, all other forms of mass media marketing, and
we have a whole new concept of hoarding and spoilage.

The Differences Between Credit Card And Debit Card
a) The differences between credit card and debit card
1. Debit card
It is used to pay for goods in shop but must have sufficient money in it to allow the transactions. If
you are buying things with credit card, you are using your own money. Debit card also canbe used to
withdraw money at cash machine. There is a limit to withdraw money as long as you have sufficient
money in it. The money are taken automatically from current account when you spend it and it will be
deducted from the account. Debit card also doesn t have interest, you don t need to pay any interest
because you don t have monthly statement like credit card.
2. Credit Card
Credit card is a credit facility that enables you to buy things immediately credit card allows you to
borrow money in small amount to buy things. This credit card isn t linked to your current accoun,
there is limitation in credit card which is the l imit RM10k. It is up to pre arranged limit and pay for
them a later date. If you are purchasing things the cost of the purchase is added to your credit card
account. This means if there are any transactions the related to credit the cost will be added and you
will also get statement every month which is, you need to pay it with no interest or paying atleast a
minimum amount and spreading the payment over a period of time. Therefore, the quicker you pay
your balance, the less interest you pay. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

The Government Of Hong Kong Essay
There have been several solutions informed to the government of Hong Kong to encourage green
features such as communal gardens, sunshades and reflectors, wind catchers and noise barriers. (Lo,
2005). The need for green architecture is expanded within this book, justifying the demand in adopting
sustainability within high density cities. Energy efficient designs and renewable energy sources in
buildings have become a world trend in striving for a sustainable future. (Lo, 2005) The inevitable
growing capacity of population and urbanization leads to perceiving high density cities as a problem.
However the sustainability integration will help reduce the energy usage, diminish the use of fossil
fuels and develop new ways to designing architecture.
4.
Do buildings and cities, in the way they are currently built, contribute to green economy and growth?
(Aboulnaga, 2014) The book illustrates how sustainability enhances architecture in the long term, but
also seeks for solutions such as renewable energy, and promoting energy efficient buildings. There are
features to classifying a sustainable building, such as site and surroundings, energy efficiency,
renewable energy use, water consumption, materials etc.
5.
Perhaps the implementation of sustainability in Hong Kong is appropriate due to giving aid to the
damage made towards the surrounding environment. A building with a creative concept is sensitive to
its environment, protecting environment from pollution caused by

The Entente Cordiale, Signed 1904
The Entente Cordiale, signed 1904, was a series of agreements that changed Anglo Franco relations
entirely. For one thousand years beforehand, the English and the French had many disagreements,
wars, and conflicts that created a lot of tension between the two nations. But forty years after the
Entente established a friendship between the two countries, England and France fought two major
wars as very close allies.
The main reason that the Entente Cordiale was signed in the first place was that England and France
were having conflicts over land in Africa. Yet the agreement was so monumental in nature that it
completely changed Anglo Franco relations for over one hundred years to come. It caused the two
countries that had previously hated each other to fight on the same side of two wars and cheer each
other on. It changed public opinion and foreign policy between the two nations. However, the actual
origins as to why the British would engage in negotiations with a country that they ve hated for
centuries seem uncertain. Germany is starting to mobilize, is threatening Britain with its rapidly
growing and modernizing navy, and is industrializing at an alarming rate. At the same time, France is
becoming more prominent in Africa and the Mediterranean, not to mention a powerful alliance with
Russia in addition. With these facts in mind, what was the strategic upside to England signing the
Entente with an old enemy? Was it to defend themselves from the growing military threat of

Transitions Of Reptiles To Mammals Essay
Transitions of Reptiles to Mammals nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp;A long long time ago, in a galaxy
not too far away, was a little blue planet called Earth, and on this world not a single mammal lived.
However a lot of time has past since then and we now have lots of furry creatures that are collectively
called mammals. How did they get their? Where did they come from? These are the kinds of questions
that led me to my subject of choice. I will endeavor to provide examples, using specific transitional
fossils, to show that mammals have evolved from a group of reptiles and were simply not placed here
by unknown forces. nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; Before I begin, I would like to define some terms so
that nobody gets left in the dust. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Primitive therapsids are present as fossils in certain Middle Permian deposits; later forms are known
from every continent except Australia but are most common in the Late Permian and Early Triassic of
South Africa. nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; The several features that separate modern reptiles from
modern mammals doubtlessly evolved at different rates. Many attributes of mammals are correlated
with their highly active lifestyle; for example, efficient double circulation of blood with a completely
four chambered heart, anucleate and biconcave erythrocytes (blood cells), the diaphragm, and the
secondary palate (which separates passages of food and air and allows breathing during mastication
(chewing) or suckling). Hair for insulation correlates with endothermy (being warm blooded), the
physiological maintenance of individual temperature independent of the environmental temperature,
and endothermy allows high levels of sustained activity. the unique characteristics of mammals thus
would seem to have evolved as a complex interrelated system. Transitions to New Higher Taxa nbsp;
nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp;Transitions often result in a new quot;higher taxon quot; (a new genus, family,
order, etc.) from a species belonging to different, older taxon. There is nothing magical about this. The

Evolution And Evolution Of Evolution
What is the theory of evolution? Many people who don t understand science or Biology
don t know how to answer this question. Evolution is the process of biological change by which
descendants come to differ from their ancestors. In our society today, there is many conflicts
that exist between creationism which is the belief that a higher power created the Earth and
made living things and the theory of evolution. Some people are debating whether to teach
evolution in schools because the subject is very touchy to others. In other areas of the world,
there is wars against religion and evolution. I am on both sides. I don t really care about either
because they both sound pretty good to me. Evolution makes sense to me. I like the history of
evolution. It s so cool to see how different species have evolved throughout time.
#1) Chapter 10.1 10.5, p. 280 301 (Early Scientist s observations, Darwin s
Observations, Theory of Natural Selection, Evidence of Evolution, Evolutionary Biology Today)
There are many scientists and people that study evolution and it s wonders. The most
well known was Charles Darwin who traveled to the Galapagos Islands and observed
evolutionary changes in different species or a group of organisms that are very similar to each
other that they can reproduce and have children , but there are four major ones that we should

Accounting Systems And The Operation Of A Business
Accounting systems are important to the operation of a business. They system helps organize a lot of
information that helps owners make necessary decisions regarding their companies. It also helps keep
up with purchases and sales and other things such as stocks. The system helps make sure that a
business can afford certain items. Keeping good records is a mandatory requirement of a successful
business. If the records are off by a lot, or even a little, it can change the whole look of the business in
regard to taxes, investors, and many other important aspects of business. Another important aspect of
business that owners must understand is what assets and liabilities are, and also the stockholders
equity. These are all shown in detail on the balance sheet which is discussed in the next paragraph. An
asset in its simplest form is a resource owned by a business. This could be anything from cash and
equipment, to patents and trademarks. Liabilities are debts or other payments that the company owes.
These can range from notes and bonds payable to deferred taxes and accrued liabilities from the past.
The last thing an owner must understand is the stockholders equity. This is the claim that the owner
has to the assets. These are all related and shown in detail on a balance sheet. As the name implies, the
assets must equal the liabilities plus the stockholders equity. These three things are used to determine
many things including assets to debt ratio which can help determine

What are the techniques or processes involved in mining?
The mining techniques that involved in underground mining are Bord and pillar is the and was very
common in Australian like in NSW. This method uses a grid of tunnels that involves a lot of cutting
panels into a coal seam. While leaving the pillars of coal behind to support the mine.
Longwall mining was introduced and began in the 1960s. Longwall mining uses a mechanical shearer
to cut the coal away although the hydraulic powered holds up and supports roof of the underground
mine. When the coal is removed from the work site, the supports that are on the roof of the
underground mine are moved forward and the roof collapse behind them, which actually can result in
subsidence. Longwall mining are much better than the Bord and pillar. This is because that it does not
leave the pillars of coal behind. It is because that mineral resource can be removed out more.
Explaining briefly the safety issues of the Underground Mining:
The safety issues for underground mining are that the employ and empower a skilled health and safety

Anthem For The Underdog Analysis
This has been one of the hardest papers I actually had to write for there are so many songs and events.
Most would say I have a somewhat normal life during this last decade. With the War on Terror started
in 2003, I was in high school at Goose Creek High School. During this time I was careless, childish,
prideful, stubborn, and somewhat idiotic. I dropped out of high school and became a bum. Eventually
I grew up a little and decided to go to Job Corp in Bristol, TN. I attended there GED and trade
program which I graduated with both. After graduation in 2006, I joined the Army six months later.
The song that comes to mind is Anthem for the Underdog by 12 Stones. The song reminds me of how
I started out and how I became something else entirely due of the challenges I faced at the time. ...

time the most challenging was learning how to deal with people. At the end the tour I had changed and
became colder with a cruel way of looking at life with a mean sense of a humor that somewhat
shielded me from others. The song that came with that time in my life would be Goodbye for Now by

My Experience With My Dad
I grew up in the central part of San Antonio, a small little white house with paint chipping all over.
The neighborhood I lived in was of much lower class. Both of my parents worked a lot; my dad was in
the military so he was not around very often. My mom worked at Citibank with a somewhat regular
work schedule. Every morning she would drop me off at my grandma s, and I would stay with my
grandma between 8 and 6 every day. My grandma spoke mainly Spanish, but growing up my parents
kept my first language as English and never spoke to me in Spanish so it was very hard for me to
communicate with my grandma especially if she forgot to tell me what she was saying in English.
Over time I just really wanted to understand what she was saying so I would ask her to teach me
things in Spanish. Every day we would sit down over lunch and my grandma would write on a piece
of paper different words in Spanish and teach me how to communicate the basics with people who
only spoke Spanish. It helped a lot, I was able to understand what she would tell me and even
sometimes speak with her in Spanish. Every night my mom would read to me, the same book Love
You Forever. She would read it to me so much that even though I couldn t read yet I had it memorized
almost like I was reading it. My mom would always say that she wished her mom read to her every
night when she was younger, but she never did. Every weekend my mom was off from work, so every

Subconscious Mind In Brave New World Essay
Aldous Huxley s Brave New World contains many extremes, from not having viviparous reproduction
to having lots of sex and taking lots of drug to not having any literature and to revolving everything
around Ford. The controllers in Brave New World control the people of the society by exploiting
Freud s studies of the subconscious mind.
Freud believed that through hypnosis one could go into one s subconscious and recover a memory that
was hidden from the conscious mind. In Brave New World the controllers of the society use Freud s
idea of accessing the subconscious while people are under hypnosis. Instead of retrieving lost
memories, they implant phrases, truths that must be believed on the deepest level possible: the
subconscious. One hundred repetitions three nights a week for four years, thought Bernard Marx, who
was a specialist on hypnopædia. Sixty two thousand four hundred repetitions make one truth. (Page

Cannibalism, The Act Of Ingestion Of Human Flesh By Humans
Cannibalism, or anthropophagy, is the act of ingestion of human flesh by humans. the idea of people
eating other parts of other people is something that wherever and whenever humans have conformed
to their environment and had formed societies. Cannibalism isn t fake, you may see it in books, on
television shows and movies but the fact is that you can see this concept or this way of life throughout
history. The concept of cannibalism, its ethical encumbrances, and its cultural expression in history
and myth are unquestionably universal. To be human is to think about the possibility of cannibalism.
Anthropophagy is hard wired into the architecture of human imagination. This human imagination is
usually conceptualized through common folklore and common stories and the cannibalistic image is
expressed by Cannibal giants, ogres, bogies, and goblins. The idea of cannibalism may strike people
as something that would rarely happen and you don t see it today but the truth is that this barbaric
ideology was rampant throughout the world through many eras of history. It could state in your history
textbook that You can see cannibalism in societies in tribes and in many other places of the world in
the past but you can even see it today, but there is a very small amount of places throughout the world
you can see this unruly act.

Frogs and Wasps by Aristophanes
In the Frogs and Wasps written by the eminently best comedian of the fifth century, Aristophanes, we
see he utilized humour to exact the important message that Athens is corrupt, and on the verge of
chaos. The Athenian audience would expect to be thrust into a world of humour in the City Dionysia,
somewhere parallel to their own (e.g. the Athenian jury in the Wasps , and the failings of the
government in Frogs ). It is vital, then, that Aristophanes conveys his political and social views
through slapstick, farce, and caricature to interest the audience. This is an important component in
both plays as the audience is able to simultaneously accept his diplomatic views whilst being
entertained. After all his main point for producing his plays were to produce something with a little
fable, with a moral .
The Wasps is an absurd play, and in most of the parts, we see a lot of satiric, scatological parody in a
viciously Anti Cleon portrayal of the judicial system. Aristophanes intent is didactic (lesson like) as he
teaches his political view that Cleon s aggression towards Sparta would lead to war. Comedy was key
to the portrayal of his political message about the judicial system as it was a very serious idea;
therefore it is a key component in lightening up his difficult to swallow ideas. The comedy is initiated
with three simultaneous attacks at Cleonymus. Firstly, the simple effect of a pun is used, as the word
aspis has the double meaning of a snake as well as a

Cyrano de Bergerac vs. Roxanne
Cyrano de Bergerac vs. Roxanne Shahaan Farrukh The play Cyrano de Bergerac and the modernized

four of the main characters are modernized into this movie, Le Bret into Dixie, Christian into Chris,

traits but have differences that actually make some significant changes in the formula of the play.

Prison Incarceration
Introduction of the Problem After the deinstitutionalization of the mental hospitals in the United States
during the 1960s there has been a great increase in the amount of persons with serious mental illness
incarcerate in jails and prisons (Torrey et al., 2014, p. 6). The incarceration of a mental ill person is
inhumane and should be illegal. This action not only causes a deterioration of the individual that is
suffering from the illness but causes problems with other inmates, the jail and prison staff, and the
public. The inability to provide the proper treatment to these subjects through the criminal justice
system is an emotional and financial burden for all parties involved. Mentally ill persons who have
said to committed crimes should ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
State legislators should construct laws that mandate intake screenings of all prisoners before
placement in a facility. Pre booking programs should be conducted by specialized officers trained in
mental illness who would intercept subjects entering the jail and conduct a screening prior to booking
in efforts to prevent arrest through de escalation by transporting persons to mental health centers for
assessment rather than jail (p.8). State laws should mandate treatment in a secure mental facility for
the duration of their court sentence. The implantation of mental health courts would be an option of a
jail diversion program that could help provide treatment (p.8). This allows the subject to be held
accountable for the crime that they have committed but allows the possibility of treatment and closing
the revolving door. Most individuals that have a mental illness are subject to returning to jail or prison
because there is no establishment of treatment for these people (p.12). Costs studies should be
conducted to evaluate the most effective way to use the taxpayers money. The money is going to be
spent, it is just an argument of which way is most beneficial to all people. Paying the money to the jail
to acted as a over secured medicine cabinet is senseless when there is a possibility for the money to be

That makes PP can be applied in many sectors.
Lastly, PP has a good resistance to fatigue, which means, even PP products had been used for a long
period of time, they will not have a structural damage easily. That makes the products of PP have a
high durability.
5. Usage
From the properties I have mentioned above, we can conclude that PP has a lot of advantages. And
because PP is very cheap, so it has a widely use in our daily lives.
As PP has a high melting point, one of the major usages of it is to produce dishware or food container,
it can also put into microwave for heating without the risk of being melted or release toxic substances.
Moreover, because PP is very tough, many plastic furniture are also made up of it. Compare to the
furniture made up of metal, PP s furniture can avoid corrosion. And it is more comfortable than metal
furniture because metal will become hot if u sit on it for a period of time, but PP s furniture is
relatively cooler as it is plastic.
Lastly, due to the resistance of fatigue, PP will also use to produce auto parts or industrial fibers, so it
can ensure the risk of breaking down due to fatigue is minimized, and the cost is also lowered.
6. Misconceptions
From the response of the general public to the plastic pellet incident, we can see that most of us may
have some common misconceptions towards the plastic pellets or PP.
Firstly, the PP itself is non toxic. If PP is toxic, then why

Why do I believe America is a great nation? America s greatness comes from our freedom, our people,
and our First Amendment Rights of religion, speech, press and assembly. Freedom is an inalienable
right that many people of the U.S. take for granted. Our civil rights are part of our freedom. People
that invade upon our rights are punished. The severity of this punishment depends upon how harshly
our rights are violated. And, although freedom doesn t come with guarantees of a perfect life, we are

The Failure Of Heart Failure
ABSTRACT
Heart failure is one of the leading causes of mortality, both globally and in New Zealand. It is defined
as the inability of the heart to meet the bodies metabolic need for oxygen and is characterised by a
decrease in cardiac output. The body has many intrinsic mechanisms to attempt to maintain cardiac
output, including activating the renin angiotensin aldosterone system (RAAS). The RAAS cascade
acts to restore cardiac output by increasing fluid retention, thus increasing blood volume and pressure.
Unfortunately, in decompensated heart failure, this is not enough to re establish cardiac output,
causing the action of this system to be upregulated and blood volume to increase further. This is
detrimental to the already failing heart. A new drug, aliskiren, affects the pathophysiology of
hypertension and heart failure by directly inhibiting renin, a mechanism that is distinct from current
therapeutic agents that also target the RAAS, such as ACE inhibitors and Angiotensin II Receptor
Blockers. This gives potential benefits by blocking the RAAS further upstream. However, clinical
trials have failed to demonstrate the predicted benefits of aliskiren. Taking this into consideration,
there is a strong possibility for development of further direct renin inhibiting agents displaying a
higher potential therapeutic index for the treatment of hypertension and heart failure. In order to
thoroughly discuss the potential benefits of aliskiren in relation to hypertension and heart

One of Trump s most memorable moments occurred during the Republican debate (Stewart, 2015).
Trump came off as if he was above everyone else and that the whole debate was a waste of his time.
Constant facial expressions and hand gestures reflecting annoyance seemed to emphasize this. As the
other candidates spoke, Trump had a silent reaction to every comment, at times reaching out and
taping the other candidates on their arms. Though throughout, Trump constantly did long and slow
nods, this typically means that the person is listening and wants you to continue speaking but also
combining it with long and slow blinks means that Trump was trying to block the person speaking at
the moment out. He was disinterested and felt too superior to be listening to all of it (Arechaederra,
2014). Here we can see typical styles of nonverbal communication that Trump is giving off while in
debates and interviews. He clearly has the personality that hints that he has a believed status of
hierarchy and that everyone s opinion is not even worth listening to. Because this is now seen as
normal for Trump to act in this disrespecting manner, any change to his behavior would be seen as

Diseases, drugs, alcohol, and the harsh living conditions often left soldiers longing for home. Veterans
coming home had to face many different situations. Most veterans who came home did not receive the
welcome they had deserved. Some veterans were homeless and unemployed after coming home. An
organization called the Vietnam Veterans against the War or the VVAW tried to help the soldiers
coming home. The organization allowed veterans to talk about their experiences to them and also tried
to get the veterans to talk to the public (Rivers 646 648). The VVAW helped the veterans throughout
the war. Many veterans who came home had emotional trauma or Post Traumatic Stress Disorder
(PTSD). The United States citizens did not want to remember the war or the brave men who fought in
it (Rivers 646 647). Very few people cared about Vietnam or the soldiers during the war because of the
negative views toward the soldiers and the war. There were two main views toward the soldiers in
Vietnam; a negative view and a positive view. The negative view seemed to be the most popular
attitude towards them. The negative outlook portrayed the soldiers as the reason for the United States
involvement in the war and the reason to why the U.S. was losing. Many soldiers came back to the
U.S. and felt like a criminal (Rivers 647). The positive view saw the soldiers as heroes. This
perspective depicts the soldiers as heroic and fighting for the United States. Post traumatic stress

Agriculture In Uganda Essay
Introduction
Sustainable consumption and production is defined by the United Nations Department of Economic
and Social Affairs (2014) as the use of services and related products, which respond to basic needs and
bring a better quality of life while minimising the use of natural resources as well as the emissions of
waste and pollutants so as not to jeopardise the needs of further generations. Over the last 25 years
many policies, strategies and programmes that support the food and agricultural sector in Uganda have
been put in place. This can be categorised into overarching national policies and specific agricultural
and rural development initiatives (FAO, 2013). The agricultural sector has the largest input into
Uganda s economy; therefore the two categories are highly inter related. Agriculture is the most
important sector of the economy, employing over 66 percent of the work force (UBoS, 2012).
Approximately 80 percent of Uganda s population lives in rural areas, and 66 percent are employed in
agriculture. Agriculture accounts for 24.1 percent of GDP and 51.9 percent of exports in 2010/11.
Most of Uganda s agricultural sector consists of small scale farming (FAO, 2013). Uganda is a country
endowed with a warm climate, abundant fertile land and regular rainfall, which provides one of the
best environments for agricultural production (ACORD, 2010).

People wonder why they have been diagnosed with cancer, they also wonder how it could have
happened. Some people don t understand why tobacco and radiation cause cancer, and that is what is
answered in this essay. The smoke that emits from smoking tobacco holds a radioactive chemical
called polonium 210. Additionally, X rays and gamma rays are recognized as human carcinogens. As a
result, smoking causes DNA damage which leads to cancer! To what extent does tobacco and radiation
cause cancer?
Polonomium 210 Major tobacco industries found that polonium 210 was in tobacco for more than 40
years and tried to remove the substance but failed. Studies have detected polonium 210 in the airways
of smokers, where they are concentrated in hot spots. They remain there because other chemicals in
cigarette smoke damage the body s cleaning systems, which would normally get rid of gunk in our
airways (Yong). In the end, polonium 210 forms up and disturbs nearby cells to larger amounts of
alpha radiation. This leads to far larger and lengthier exposures to ... Show more content on

Pollutants in cigarettes calls Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons cause genetic damage in a matter or

quantity of injurious chemicals in tobacco smoke. Each cigarette can damage DNA in many lung cells,
but it is the formation of damage in the same cell that can lead to cancer. Smoking weakens the body s

these cleaners. Cigarette smoke also impacts the immune system increasing cells which can encourage

The Relationship Between Riverdale And Gilgamesh
Death and grief are common themes in literature and entertainment as a result of their presence
throughout history. These themes create a tie between the most ancient texts and modern pop culture.
An example of this is Gilgamesh and Riverdale. In the ancient Sumerian narrative, Gilgamesh by
Herbert Mason, Gilgamesh, a ruthless king deals with the death of his newfound friend, Enkidu.
Before, Gilgamesh did not care for his people. He forced brides to sleep with him, and did not take
care of the great walls his subjects took so long to make. On the other hand, Enkidu grew up in the
forest with the animals, and learned to protect and respect all beings. Both maintained their strength
and friendship until Enkidu reached his disastrous fate. In the modern TV show, Riverdale by Rob
Seidenglanz, Cheryl Blossom grieves for her twin brother, Jason. The two were inseparable from
birth, and their entire town was aware. Similarly to Gilgamesh, Cheryl was unsympathetic and
disliked by her peers. Jason, like Enkidu, was more responsible and compassionate. In both Gilgamesh
and Riverdale, characters learn to cope with the loss of a meaningful person in their life and ultimately
experience change as a result.
The friendship between Gilgamesh and Enkidu, as well as the attachment between Cheryl Blossom
and her brother, Jason, is what makes their deaths so important. Gilgamesh and Enkidu s bond first

The United States Constitution
The United States Constitution was ratified in the summer of 1788 and is the governing document of
the United States of America. Owing to its brevity and clarity of thought, it has stood the test of time,
whereas founding laws of other nations have come and gone, lost to the thoughts of the many for
whom they were originally conceived of to sustain. Of the prescient statutes that comprise this most
venerable of documents is Article 1, Section Four, which laid a foundation for the election of federal
representatives. It states in part: The Times, Places and Manner of holding Elections for Senators and
Representatives, shall be prescribed in each State by the Legislature thereof; but the Congress may at

While codification of this statute in 1875 for the U.S. House of Representatives and in 1914 for the
U.S. Senate has accomplish much in the way of streamlining the elections process throughout the
United States, the nation is still saddled with a patchwork of 50 state laws which make it, almost by
constitutional decree, impossible for citizens of the United States to equally exercise their civic voting
rights. While the U.S. Code mandates a date for federal elections, the Constitution simultaneously
grants each state broad power in how it conducts federal elections. The outcomes on Election Day are
the result of disparate voting experiences and, some argue that to protect the integrity of the electoral
system, changes need to be implemented. Others argue that voter turnout is a problem, with the United
States historically ranking embarrassingly low internationally in voter turnout, but that these results
are due to lack of voter interest in the political system as a whole rather than lack of opportunity to
cast a ballot. Is there a problem, and if we agree there is, what is at its root? Furthermore, what could
be done politically to address any such problem?

A convocation is a special gathering of a group of individuals formally assembled for a special
purpose. North Carolina A T s Fall Convocation was an assembling for academic and athletic
recognition that brought great encouragement. The great speaker gave vital information regarding
tactics to push toward success for students and teachers. Dr. Anthony Graham s great motto, Keep
your hand in the plow, hold on, is very impactful and has great meaning, encouraging you to reach
your set goals. The keynote speaker, Dr. Anthony Graham, is a professor and dean of the College of
Education at North Carolina A T. As a scholar, Dr. Graham presented his research on African
American adolescents and more at various international, national and state conferences. During his
tenure as a professor at North Carolina A T, Dr. Graham has published a variety of book chapters and

Graham made countless references to the statement, Keep your hand on the plow, hold on. This can be
taken on many aspects, but I interpreted it as no matter how rugged the path gets, hold on and stick it
out. The most important thing is to keep an image of the bigger picture you are chasing and persevere
through the destruction by taking the road less traveled by to obtain success. Education is the most
significant because it is the gateway to success, despite racism, violence and more, as Dr. Graham
said. We should not be afraid to venture out for success and not doubt yourself if you have delayed
gratification because success will come in due

The Meaning of Water in the Poem Blessing by Imtiaz...
To start with, the theme of the poem is that water is a necessity to life and is a precious gift. This gift
is known as a Blessing . To begin with, there is a lack of water in which the poem takes place. Imtiaz
starts the poem off strong stating right away how The skin cracks like a pod (1). Human skin becomes
dry and cracked when it is not moisturized. A pod is useless when it is dries up and becomes fragile
because of the deficiency of water. The pod links to human skin because water keeps the skin hydrated
and helps the body function. In addition, the villagers in the poem value water. When the municipal
pipes explode, silver crashes to the ground (9). To the villagers, the water shines like silver. The
villagers worship the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
By adding in onomatopoeias, the reader is able to hear the sound of the water as it rushes and crashes.
Therefore, the poetic devices that Imtiaz uses have a tremendous purpose throughout the poem. Last
of all, Blessing by Imtiaz Dharker represents the period of the poem written in nineteen eighty nine,
which is post modern. First and foremost, temperatures were sweltering. In fact, the hottest day was
on April seventh with a high temperature of forty degrees Celsius (WeatherSpark Beta). This connects
to the poem because it deals with a hot country where dehydration is quite normal. Since the poem
takes place in the slums in Mumbai, India, There is never enough water (2) for the villagers to
consume and the great degree of heat causes more problems to their health. Adding to that, the
humidity was high. June to September were the stickiest months (WeatherSpark Beta), which led to
thirst, and the skin cracking ...like a pod (1). In fact, with a daily average low humidity of seventy
eight percent, August was the most humid month (WeatherSpark Beta). The weather conditions of
Mumbai itself were described as reasonably hot with soaring levels of humidity (Climate of Mumbai).
All of these situations link to the poem because the villagers need water when the weather is hot and
sticky to keep their bodies hydrated and functioning. Undoubtedly, the period when the poem was
written relates back to the

Essay about Scientific Method and Participant Observation
In the article, Researching Dealers and Smugglers, Patricia Adler discusses her and her husband s
experience using participant observation to collect data from drug dealers and the problems this
qualitative method brought. A qualitative method focuses on collecting rich, non statistical data. This
method involves face to face interviews and actual participation with the group being researched. The
Adlers use this method because it is almost impossible to gather accurate information on people who
smuggle drugs. This is true because they are such private and deceitful people. The only way to get the
real facts is if the smugglers trust the person. Unfortunately, participant observation brought problems
such as the dealers and smugglers ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Cocaine also helped the dealers open up easily. During the interviews, some dealers experienced
withdrawal symptoms. It caused them to become malicious with each other or towards the Alders
without any warning. The way the Alders solved this problem was by taking precautions when
interacting with the dealers. The cocaine use was not a problem for the Adlers, but they most likely
dealt with the marijuana issue quite easily since Patricia does not specifically explain how it was
solved. In addition, there was another problem the Adlers encountered. The Adlers also found that
mixing the overt and covert roles with the members of the group throughout the investigation was
another issue. Since the Adlers had different level relationships with every individual, some of the
dealers were aware that they were a part of a research project while others were not aware. This
sometimes confused the Adlers. Patricia states, They [the informants] would made occasional veiled
references in front of people, especially when loosened by intoxicants, that made us extremely
uncomfortable. This issue made the couple uncomfortable because they did not want to blow their
cover. Patricia and Peter Adler also feared that the participants would think they are police. Peter and
Patricia Adler solved this issue by take the necessary safety measures so anyone they did not want to

Essay about North by Northwest, by Alfred Hitchcock
Alfred Hitchcock s film North by Northwest (1959) is famed as a classic man on the run thriller,
following protagonist Roger Thornhill as he flees across state lines in a mad dash to save his life and
unravel the mystery to his extraordinary predicament. However, mid way through the film Thornhill s
quandary is further complicated by the introduction of Eve Kendall, a beautiful yet mysterious woman
he encounters on a train during his escape from the authorities and people trying to kill him. During
the dining room scene on the train, Hitchcock expertly uses the camera to convey the characters
thoughts and feelings. Interestingly, in a film that has several sequences with complicated
cinematography and editing, the dining car scene is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Once the flirtations between the two in intensify, Hitchcock transitions into using close shots,
beginning when Eve discloses her bribe arranging Thornhill being seated with her, and her subsequent
reveal that she knows Thornhill wanted for murder. The use of the close shot provides a better, more
intimate view of their expressions as they banter back and forth and the sexual innuendos ramp up.
Thornhill s thoughts are particularly evident across his face as he changes from showing interest in the
attractive woman across from him, to tension at being recognized by her, to unabashed glee at the
prospect of sleeping with same said beautiful woman, and finally to alarm as he learns police are
boarding the train. In contrast to Thornhill s expressive looks, Hitchcock shows Eve s as being more
controlled and understated. Throughout her linguistic dance with Thornhill, Eve manages to maintain
an air of surety about herself, revealing only those pieces of information that she wants him to know.
She manages to exude a sense of cool certainty and control during arguably the most sexually
suggestive moment of the film: in the only profile shot of the scene, the camera shows Eve as she
slowly blows out the flame on the match Thornhill uses to light her cigarette, clasping his hand as she
does so. This aura of calm calculation gives the sense that she is in complete control, no doubt due

Araby, By James Joyce
In the story of, Araby James Joyce concentrated on three main themes that will explain the purpose of
the narrative. The story unfolded on North Richmond Street, which is a street composed of two rows
of houses, in a desolated neighborhood. Despite the dreary surroundings of dark muddy lanes and ash
pits the boy tried to find evidence of love and beauty in his surroundings. Throughout the story, the
boy went through a variety of changes that will pose as different themes of the story including
alienation, transformation, and the meaning of religion (Borey).
The narrator alienated himself from friends and family which caused loneliness and despair, being one
of the first themes of the story. He developed a crush on Mangan s ... Show more content on

Two men were flirting with a women and counting money which in turn ruined his thought of Eastern
enchantment. After seeing the women shamelessly flirt with the men, he realized that he allowed his
feelings for Mangan s sister to get carried away with. He was angry at himself for acting like a fool.
Gazing up into the darkness I saw myself as a creature driven and derided by vanity; and my eyes
burned with anguish and anger. (Joyce 392). The last line says a lot about the story and the complexity
of his feelings. However, the fact that he realized he was acting foolishly, showed that he was
maturing from an innocent young child, into a man( Sample Essays Analyzing James Joyce s Short
Story Araby ).
The last theme of the story and probably the most important is God and religion. To better understand
the complexity of the story you have to know the historical content of Dublin at the time the narrative
was written. During the 1900 s Ireland was under British control and Ireland s main religion was
Roman Catholicism. Most families sent their children to schools that where taught by Jesuit priests
and convent schools run by nuns. Ireland also had a lot of poverty in it and because there weren t any
TV s or radios for entertainment, so they relied on folklore and storytelling to pass the time . As you
can see, it s clear why such a big event like Araby held great expectations(

Even worse, from 1999 to 2001 they had a huge decrease in sales and got into liquidity problems. The economic situation for Fili seems to be doomed even more when you add growing and strong competitors to the mix. But what caused all this? Ice Fili cannot rely on their contractors to have the same level of motivation to constantly be supplying retailers and thus cannot hope to compete against firms like Nestle with their existing strategy. Essential to having a working distribution strategy is choosing where to distribute. Currently Ice Fili focuses on supplying their products to kiosks, gastronoms, and minimarts. They seem to be ignoring the rapidly growing trend in sales for larger quantities of product being sold in supermarkets. Competitors such as Nestle have been supplying supermarkets internationally for quite some time and thus have a distinct advantage over domestic Russian producers. This will serve as either a major threat or a major opportunity for Ice Fili as this market is fairly new to Russia and has yet to be divided up between competitors. Marketing Lack of ability to build up strong marketing mix is the common and the most vulnerable point amongst Russian producers. Contrarily, foreign companies have been showing off their matured marketing skills in the industry. This is attributable to the fact that Russian managements are not used to building marketing strategy, having used to enjoy a time without pressure of marketing under the state run economy system during Soviet era. Consequently the company s marketing mix is uncoordinated to the extent that its brand identity is ambiguous. The most critical thing that has blurred ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Basically, culture is the multipart overall of a society which includes everything that gives a society an identity. Culture may consist of customs, languages, and religion beliefs amid other characteristics that are ordinary to people of a nation/region. What is predominantly interesting about cultures is that each culture, no matter where it is located, shares at least five basic characteristics. However, every culture has its own distinct characteristics that differentiate it from the others. One of such cultures is the Kuwait culture. The NHRA used their safety safari to go all over the country to hot rod races, teaching them everything from selling tickets to the safety of racing the hot rods. I think that this really helped racing take off. These people have now learned how to make the sport safer and gain money in order to proceed with their passion for racing. This also helped the racers gain sponsors such as Coca Cola and Pepsi. Racing relies off of sponsors now. There has been so many technological advancements in racing, that not the average person can afford to go out and be competitive enough to win without help. When I think about sponsors for racing, almost every single huge corporation sponsors some sort of race car. The racers are helping the sponsors get more business, while the sponsors support the race car driver so they can make it to the track. My family has a deep history in open wheel dirt track racing, and they would not have been able to compete for so long without the help of sponsors. Racing had now become some people s way of making a living. They were able to make enough money to support themselves, but still struggled trying to get to and from each race. • 6. Pituitary Gland Disorders Case Study Anterior pituitary gland disorders Pathophysiology The pituitary gland is located at the base of the brain in a protective pocket of the sphenoid bone. The pituitary gland is about 1 cm in diameter and is divided into the anterior lobe and posterior lobe. John Locke and the Unequal Distribution of Wealth Essay It is stated by John Locke that in the state of nature no man may take more then he can consume. ...make use of any advantage of life before it spoils...whatever is beyond this is more than his share and belongs to others. Nothing was made by God for man to spoil or destroy. (Locke 14) Locke then goes on to say, God gave the world to man ... for their benefit and the greatest conveniences of life they were capable to draw from it, it cannot be supposed he meant it should always remain common and uncultivated. He gave it to the use of the industrious and rational and labor was to be his title... (Lock 15) Both of statements can stand alone, each could be argued. In Locke s opinion the idea of fair unequal distribution of wealth came about with the creation of money. Before money, things could not be saved fairly. Over stocking by some would lead to spoilage, and leave others with nothing. Once money was introduced though, this allowed the accumulation of wealth, without waste, so Locke says ...thus came in the use of money some lasting thing that men might keep without spoiling, and that by mutual consent men would take in exchange for the truly useful but perishable supports of life. (Locke 20). Now one man could have, ... a disproportionate and unequal possession of the earth... (And) ...fairly possess more land than he himself can use the product of...(Locke 22) . The word fairly in that last statement should jump off the page. When speaking on the state of nature Locke s main concern is spoilage or waste of commodities, but with the introduction of money he sees this problem solved. When in fact a floodgate for spoilage and waste is opened. Today the market is flooded with products, and products supposed to be better then the other product, the leading brand, and the other leading brand. Combine this with the introduction of digital property such as television and the Internet, all other forms of mass media marketing, and we have a whole new concept of hoarding and spoilage. ... For one thousand years beforehand, the English and the French had many disagreements, wars, and conflicts that created a lot of tension between the two nations. But forty years after the Entente established a friendship between the two countries, England and France fought two major wars as very close allies. The main reason that the Entente Cordiale was signed in the first place was that England and France were having conflicts over land in Africa. Yet the agreement was so monumental in nature that it completely changed Anglo Franco relations for over one hundred years to come. It caused the two countries that had previously hated each other to fight on the same side of two wars and cheer each other on. It changed public opinion and foreign policy between the two nations. However, the actual origins as to why the British would engage in negotiations with a country that they ve hated for centuries seem uncertain. Germany is starting to mobilize, is threatening Britain with its rapidly growing and modernizing navy, and is industrializing at an alarming rate. At the same time, France is becoming more prominent in Africa and the Mediterranean, not to mention a powerful alliance with Russia in addition. With these facts in mind, what was the strategic upside to England signing the Entente with an old enemy? Was it to defend themselves from the growing military threat of ... I will endeavor to provide examples, using specific transitional fossils, to show that mammals have evolved from a group of reptiles and were simply not placed here by unknown forces. nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; Before I begin, I would like to define some terms so that nobody gets left in the dust. ... Many attributes of mammals are correlated with their highly active lifestyle; for example, efficient double circulation of blood with a completely four chambered heart, anucleate and biconcave erythrocytes (blood cells), the diaphragm, and the secondary palate (which separates passages of food and air and allows breathing during mastication (chewing) or suckling). Hair for insulation correlates with endothermy (being warm blooded), the physiological maintenance of individual temperature independent of the environmental temperature, and endothermy allows high levels of sustained activity. the unique characteristics of mammals thus would seem to have evolved as a complex interrelated system. Evolution is the process of biological change by which descendants come to differ from their ancestors. In our society today, there is many conflicts that exist between creationism which is the belief that a higher power created the Earth and made living things and the theory of evolution. Some people are debating whether to teach evolution in schools because the subject is very touchy to others. In other areas of the world, there is wars against religion and evolution. Freud believed that through hypnosis one could go into one s subconscious and recover a memory that was hidden from the conscious mind. In Brave New World the controllers of the society use Freud s idea of accessing the subconscious while people are under hypnosis. Instead of retrieving lost memories, they implant phrases, truths that must be believed on the deepest level possible: the subconscious. • 22. Frogs and Wasps by Aristophanes In the Frogs and Wasps written by the eminently best comedian of the fifth century, Aristophanes, we see he utilized humour to exact the important message that Athens is corrupt, and on the verge of chaos. The Athenian audience would expect to be thrust into a world of humour in the City Dionysia, somewhere parallel to their own (e.g. the Athenian jury in the Wasps , and the failings of the government in Frogs ). It is vital, then, that Aristophanes conveys his political and social views through slapstick, farce, and caricature to interest the audience. This is an important component in both plays as the audience is able to simultaneously accept his diplomatic views whilst being entertained. After all his main point for producing his plays were to produce something with a little fable, with a moral . The Wasps is an absurd play, and in most of the parts, we see a lot of satiric, scatological parody in a viciously Anti Cleon portrayal of the judicial system. Aristophanes intent is didactic (lesson like) as he teaches his political view that Cleon s aggression towards Sparta would lead to war. Comedy was key to the portrayal of his political message about the judicial system as it was a very serious idea; therefore it is a key component in lightening up his difficult to swallow ideas. The comedy is initiated with three simultaneous attacks at Cleonymus. Firstly, the simple effect of a pun is used, as the word aspis has the double meaning of a snake as well as a ... And because PP is very cheap, so it has a widely use in our daily lives. As PP has a high melting point, one of the major usages of it is to produce dishware or food container, it can also put into microwave for heating without the risk of being melted or release toxic substances. • 32. The Failure Of Heart Failure ABSTRACT Heart failure is one of the leading causes of mortality, both globally and in New Zealand. It is defined as the inability of the heart to meet the bodies metabolic need for oxygen and is characterised by a decrease in cardiac output. The body has many intrinsic mechanisms to attempt to maintain cardiac output, including activating the renin angiotensin aldosterone system (RAAS). The RAAS cascade acts to restore cardiac output by increasing fluid retention, thus increasing blood volume and pressure. Unfortunately, in decompensated heart failure, this is not enough to re establish cardiac output, causing the action of this system to be upregulated and blood volume to increase further. This is detrimental to the already failing heart. A new drug, aliskiren, affects the pathophysiology of hypertension and heart failure by directly inhibiting renin, a mechanism that is distinct from current therapeutic agents that also target the RAAS, such as ACE inhibitors and Angiotensin II Receptor Blockers. This gives potential benefits by blocking the RAAS further upstream. However, clinical trials have failed to demonstrate the predicted benefits of aliskiren. Taking this into consideration, there is a strong possibility for development of further direct renin inhibiting agents displaying a higher potential therapeutic index for the treatment of hypertension and heart failure. In order to thoroughly discuss the potential benefits of aliskiren in relation to hypertension and heart ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Though throughout, Trump constantly did long and slow nods, this typically means that the person is listening and wants you to continue speaking but also combining it with long and slow blinks means that Trump was trying to block the person speaking at the moment out. Over the last 25 years many policies, strategies and programmes that support the food and agricultural sector in Uganda have been put in place. This can be categorised into overarching national policies and specific agricultural and rural development initiatives (FAO, 2013). The agricultural sector has the largest input into Uganda s economy; therefore the two categories are highly inter related. Agriculture is the most important sector of the economy, employing over 66 percent of the work force (UBoS, 2012). Approximately 80 percent of Uganda s population lives in rural areas, and 66 percent are employed in agriculture. Agriculture accounts for 24.1 percent of GDP and 51.9 percent of exports in 2010/11.
