Foot protection
•  must be worn at all times on site or in a working environment

Hand protection
•  To protect the hands from oxidation particles found in aluminium.
•  To guard against catching Weil’s disease. This can be spread by rats
contaminating the scaffolding.

•  To clearly identify a person working on any scaffolding to help
prevent accidents.

•  To protect against injury caused by falling objects or banging your
head against scaffolding. On most sites they will be worn at all
times except in safe areas.

•  Not an essential piece of PPE that is required when erecting
scaffolding, but it can be good working practice to do so.

any risk of eye damage you should not take any chances.
