P.P.E.
• Consists of. Overalls.
• Steel toe capped boots-shoes.
• High visibility vest./Hard hat.
• It is a legal and organisational requirement that this is worn in the
workshop.
• Entry to the workshop will be denied if not worn.
Student Obligations.
• Follow health and safety regulations and procedures.
• Attend classes regularly and follow your agreed programme of
study.
• Undertake coursework and other assignments to agreed
timescales.
• Accept and observe the academic standards of the college.
• Observe students code of conduct.
• Meet the obligations stated in the student contract.
Fire & Evacuation Procedures
Fire Alarm Test Monday 9.00 am
• If you discover a fire.
• Immediately operate
nearest firm alarm.
• Break glass.
• If safe to do so attack
with appliance.
• Do not take risks.
• Assemble at
designated area
• Leave the area immediately
closing doors and windows.
(if time allows)
• Go to the nearest escape
route.
• Do not use the lifts.
• Students with mobility
difficulties should proceed to
the nearest refuge point.
• Do not return to the building
until safe and instructed to
do so.

• Assemble at area to be confirmed by class or workshop location.
• Each class workshop has evacuation instructions please familiarise
yourself with them.
Library.
• Open.
• Monday
• Wednesday.
• Friday. 8.50.am-14.50.pm.
• Tuesday Thursday. 8.50am-20.00pm.
Student Association.
• The college has a lively student association and
employs a full time president. The presidents name
is. who sits on the board of management. The
president brings student issues direct to the decision
makers. The association is linked to the National
Union of Students (NUS),which campaigns for
student rights nationwide.
Matriculation Card.
Need for access through gates
• Will be provided today on production of passport
photo required.
• Important to get this identification card.
• You will get discounts in various shops, cinema,
football grounds, pizza hut, etc.
Computer Access.
• Important that students become familiar with
information technology for research and
assignments.
• Each student will be given a log on number that will
allow access.
• Log on sheets will be provided.
Car Parking.
• No designated student car parking.
