Technology plays an important role in counseling education programs and the counseling field. It is used as a tool in the classroom through distance education courses, video recordings of counseling sessions, and online class organization. For practicing counselors, technology allows recording and securely storing of client sessions and information. It also enhances counselor competence and connectivity through web resources, discussion boards, and connectivity with other counselors. The future of counseling will likely see technology playing an even greater role, with some programs becoming fully online. Overall, technology provides significant benefits and its integration is important to keep counseling practices effective and to keep up with changes in the field.

A. Philip Randolph represented the perfect blend between the civil rights and labor communities. Randolph fully understood the struggle for human and civil rights should involve all of the tools and resources that we had at our disposal. Indeed, Mr. Randolph was the conscience of organized labor in that he sought to get the trade union movement to set its own house in order. He urged and challenged organized labor to join in the struggle of African Americans for freedom and equality. A. Philip Randolph helped to draft the “strongest statement of labor’s position on civil rights ever to come before a convention of the AFL-CIO.” Randolph, the labor leader and civil rights leader was also called a dreamer of dreams.

This is a directory of Canadian US patents holders. It has the latest information about who has US patents in Canada, where the US patent holders are, what they patented in the US market and the trends of their US patents.
In 2009, when I was working for the Region of Peel government, Canada, I successfully used patent mapping to identify 20 US patent intensive companies as the potential employers for highly educated immigrants. Following this initiative, I created a Canadian patent competitive intelligence (CI) database to track the latest patent competence of over 5000 Canadian entities, in all sector throughout Canada, on a weekly basis. My work with Region of Peel from 2010 to 2012 showed that this database can provide the "no-older-than-7-day" intelligence for long-term strategic research/planning and short-term tactics. This is also the first attempt in Canada to use patent landscape as a regional economic strength indicator and a baseline for policy harmonization and policy performance evaluation.

This presentation is about photographer's experiments with scale as artistic method. Topics covered are, for instance, the work of Karl Blossfeldt, Aaron Siskind and Minor White, who used extreme closeup to achieve a surrealist and disorienting effect with their photographs. Other photographers such as Edward Burtynsky used the opposite, extreme distance, to achieve a similar effect. The presentation also covers difference in scale as used by Julia Fullerton-Batten, Tim Walker or Marc Da Cunha Lopes. Tilt-Shift photography makes landscape photographs look like miniatures, for instance in the work of Vincent Laforet, while other artists use real miniatures to deconstruct the viewer's sense of what is real.
Cooperation and win-win is the essential part of intellectual property right (IPR), the core competitive advantage, creation during the competition of the knowledge economy era. The philosophy of Confucius, which has existed and evolved over two thousand years in China, provides a good foundation for such a cooperative and harmonic human relationship for win-win cooperation. By using examples happened in the modern world, we compared the Chinese traditional mindset of IPR with the present IPR infrastructure, and found the value of Chinese Confucius' philosophy in the modern knowledge-based global market competition.

The team presented their professional manifesto and standard procedures; they conduct distance learning courses as well as face to face classes. Moreover they offer consultation at course level. So in case any institute needs to discuss their courses and course methodology, they can be called.
As the emphasis is on distance learning, most of the work comes through emails, phone calls and through word of mouth. Why is the team important? Instructors, deans or chairs go to them to request help regarding their courses.
To help them, besides conventional consultation tools, they have a modified version of ADDY. What they do is they start taking input for the course and start evaluating the content. Plus as the course progresses, they evaluate it along the way.
The team also makes use of both learner analysis and content analysis. More emphasis is put on online learning and giving students some grids to work with, that way they don’t have to run to places to take notes in a lecture.
They would help promote websites for an instructor and the interface where they encourage a button of ‘contact instructor’.
The interface and rubric is not designed based solely on innovation, it is based on instruction design, best practices and research findings. The input they need to evaluate the course include (but are not limited to) atomization of the course and navigation of the course.
Sometime ago, with the approval of The U.S. Dept. of Education, state authorization was not given to distance learning programs, the idea was to uphold integrity regulation, and not to promote diploma mills.
But distance learning programs were suffering; online education had no authority to issue diploma, but things are getting better now as distance learning is no more a walk in the park, it requires hard work.
The team works with the administration; they give them goals regarding distance learning. For instance here at the school, President Bradley and the Dean of Extended Learning work in coordination to setup goals for this program.
The team needs to be on their toes, they have to know what’s going on in technology. For instance the polygraphic teacher will probably be available to distance learners very soon, plus they need to know about the evolution of distance education – so a lot of research goes into their procedures. The team also offers faculty development and offers sessions of quality matters.

Today’s students and teachers are always seeking the latest technologies available both for personal and school use. Technology can assist them in attaining the knowledge they desire and help make learning more interactive and tailored to different learning styles.
The three most common learning styles are visual, auditory and kinesthetic. Some
people listen more attentively to a lecture while others are more alert during a visual presentation. Meanwhile, others are busy taking notes or practicing the skill.
Knowing your learning style can be helpful for finding the right way to interact with colleagues and get the most out of meetings. What kind of learner are you?
The proliferation of smartphones and other technologies have the potential to transform our lives, both personally and professionally. So how are technological changes and trends impacting our teachers, the places we learn and the student experience?
In 2016, we ran the first ever global Navitas teacher technology survey to find out more about our teachers’ usage and attitudes towards technology. Questions we wanted to explore included:
How are teachers currently using technology in their personal lives and in our colleges?
What encourages teachers to adopt and integrate technologies into teaching practice?
What are teachers looking for in terms of support, inspiration, and innovation in learning technologies?
After analysing over 1,800 responses from our colleges around the world, our data-soaked brains are buzzing, not only from the number-crunching but also from the conversations we’ve been able to have with teachers and academic managers about what these results could mean.
The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.

A Strategic Approach: GenAI in EducationPeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

2. Technology is Everywhere Technology is prominent in nearly every counseling education program. Because of this, it is important for counselors-in-training, counseling professors, and current counselors to understand the importance and existence of technology as a tool in counseling. Technology is not only a supplement to education, it is also helpful when practicing as a counselor.
3. Examples in the Classroom Counseling has many uses for technology in the classroom: Distance Education/Web Enhanced Courses – Some classes offer an online option, so students can participate in the course from any computer, anywhere, or at anytime. Video/Audio Recording Aide – Observing counseling sessions is much easier with the help of video and audio recording. Class Organization/Communication – Technology enables classmates and professors to keep in touch and answer questions on the dot.
4. Advantages in the Classroom Online courses and discussion boards are allowing classes to become extremely cohesive and up to date with the changes and scheduling of the classes. Students now have the upper hand regarding studying counseling sessions. They are able to watch counseling sessions and learn important lessons without putting a client in jeopardy. Students and professors are not limited to “scheduled” class times because they can participate from anywhere at anytime with online classes.
5. Examples in the Counseling Field Technology is used with practicing counselors: Counselors are able to record their sessions with clients for easy reviewing access. Private and privileged client information can now be stored safely and securely in personal computers and flash drives. Counselors now have a plethora of information about various therapy methods and techniques due to web resources, journals, and discussion boards.
6. Advantages in the Counseling Field Counselors have more opportunities to connect and interact with other practicing counseling peers. Counselors are able to increase their competence, which in turn creates a better atmosphere for clients. Patients can find solace in the fact that their private information is stored safely with less eyes able to view the information.
7. Future Implications Counseling is a changing field, and it is necessary to keep up in order to offer the most effective care for patients. Most counseling programs (if not all) now offer or require technology enhanced courses. In the future, some programs may be completely technology based.
8. Conclusion Overall, counseling is constantly being re-shaped and re-focused. Technology has amazing benefits for professors, students, practicing counselors, and counseling patients. Technology: embrace it or lag behind.
10. Counselors, counseling professors, and counselors-in-training now have numerous advantageous opportunities that have opened up to them. It is important to soak up as much knowledge as possible and become the most competent counselor possible.
