A Research Study On Platelet Rich Plasma
Abstract
Background: Platelet rich plasma (PRP) is defined as a high concentration of platelets suspended in a
small volume of plasma and was proposed for periodontal tissue regeneration. However, although it
has been widely studied, there is much controversy on its efficacy.
Purpose: To study and meta analyze the effectiveness by means of clinical attachment level, probing
depth reduction, bleeding, suppuration and recession of PRP for periodontal intrabony defects on
randomized clinical trials (RCT)
Material and methods: An electronic literature search was conducted by two reviewers (AR and AM)
in several databases up to February 2014. The PICO question was: Do intrabony defects in treatment
for periodontal regeneration with PRP have a higher or similar efficacy that other periodontal
regeneration treatments? Articles were included in this systematic review if they were RCT with10 or
more human subjects, reporting the radiographic and clinical outcomes PRP for guided tissue
regeneration in intrabony periodontal defects. Random effects meta analyses of the selected studies
were applied to avoid any bias being caused by methodological differences between studies.
Results: Twenty two papers of full text of these articles were then obtained, and reviewed. Of these, 18
articles fulfilled the inclusion criteria and subsequently were qualitatively analyzed. Eleven articles
were included for evaluating of PPD. The WMD was 0.86 mm, with a 95% CI= 0.44 mm to 1.29 mm.

Precious Metals Research Paper
Precious metals do not have their own group on the periodic table. They are arranged together on the
table. These elements do have the same chemical properties, however they do not have their own
classification. All of these metals do not rust, they are resistant to oxidation and corrosion and they
only break down when they are in high temperatures. Gold (Au), silver (Ag), platinum (Pt), ruthenium
(Ru), rhodium (Rh), palladium (Pd), iridium (Ir), and osmium (Os) all have similar properties and are
considered to be precious metals.1
Many of these elements were found in platinum ores. Scientists used aqua regia, an acid that can
dissolve metals like gold which single acids cannot do alone, to find the pure substance of the
platinum ores. They ended up ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The only elements that were not found in this process was gold and silver. These two metals were
known since ancient times. If they were to use aqua regia, then the pure substances of gold and silver
would be extracted from the ore.
Platinum was discovered by Antonio de Ulloa in 1735. Ulloa established the first mineralogy lab in
Spain and was the first to study platinum. Platinum was first recognized as an element in 1774 when
Charles Wood isolated the ore with aqua regia. Then the pure form of platinum was found in the
residue. However, there were more than one substance that was unknown in the residue. Hippolyte
Victor Collet Descotils believed that there was an unidentified metals that caused the red color of
some platinum salts. In 1803, William Hyde Wollaston investigated this by first dissolving the crude
platinum ore in aqua regia. Then he was able to get to the platinum metal by dissolving the solution in
ammonium chloride. The liquid which remained had properties which matched no known substance.
Wollaston named it Rhodium. This was not the last element that Wollaston discovered that year. He
used aqua regia to dissolve the platinum ore and isolated

The Four Branches Of Judaism
Judaism as a religion has progressed over the years; it has been divided into four branches that each
can be identified by specific characteristics. The different branches include orthodox Judaism,
conservative Judaism, reform Judaism, and reconstructionist Judaism; each of these separate branches
have similar beliefs which surround the main ideas of Judaism but have individualized into their own
religions which conflicting customs and traditions. Orthodox Judaism is the most traditional of the
branches and works to up keep the original values and customs the religion began with while the other
branches focus on changes but still manage to uphold some of the same core values. Orthodox
Judaism was only known as Judaism up until the reform movement

Plane Personal Narrative
Ever since I was in junior high school I have been fixated on remote control planes and small
unmanned aerial vehicles. The interest ironically started out from a toy helicopter crash combined
with my curiosity, igniting a life long passion that eventually became my singular fixation and my
ticket into the future. I built and crashed my first few planes before I joined a local group of hobbyists
who were involved with the Tipton County Radio Control Club. They brought me to the top of an old,
filled in landfill, now covered in lush, green grass that swayed with the slightest breeze blowing
through the leaves of the surrounding trees. The designated flying field was at the highest point of the
landfill. With well manicured fields still fresh with the scent of freshly mown grass, it stood in stark
contrast ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Some of them offered to help me learn to fly by trying their planes, and through them I built up the
courage to fly my more fragile planes. On that day I had my first successful flights with my Nieuport
17 biplane, a World War I plane that took me nearly three weeks to complete. After landing the plane,
I began to talk to the other pilots and learned the meaning behind the often repeated phrase fly, crash,
repeat. I built more planes and several months later started a new project, a small drone that could be
flown for short distances using a camera. Its four powerful blades flew very well during the maiden
flight until I had to repeat the phrase fly, crash, repeat in a disappointed voice as my battle with gravity
and the ground was lost. I retrieved my craft and began the repair process, delaying the project by two
more months. The next flight was more successful as it flew faster and responded quicker than before.
I knew it wouldn t crash from a mechanical failure

Informative Essay On Social Media
Technological advances in our world over the past decade have impacted our society tremendously.
With these advances have come new social media websites that people all around the world use in
their everyday life. Social media started out as a means of communication from person to person but
has drastically grown to be even a source of news and a reporting channel. The world can be updated
on events that occur within seconds through the use of websites and cellular apps with the most
popular today being Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. The increased speed of reporting news and
other things however does not necessarily determine all things posted via social media to be valid.
With the click of a few buttons on your phone, anybody has the capability to post a status or tweet that
has the potential of being viewed by thousands to millions of people. The article Tweeting Fast
Matters, But Only if I Think About It: Information Updates on Social Media uses the popular platform
Twitter in a study to determine whether or not there is a correlation between the speed of updates and
how people determine source credibility (Spence, Lachlan, Edwards, 55). Twitter and other social
media platforms are useful in reporting news fast and keeping people connected but not all
information shared online should be assumed true. Twitter is a social media platform that allows
people to post messages or tweets publically with the option for others to reply to the message. Over

Project Plan And Workflow For Complete The Final Video
Project Methodology:
In this chapter, I present the project plan and workflow I used to complete the final video. In the
last part I discuss other software programs used to accomplish other tasks in the post production
stage.
Production Workflow:
The process to complete the insertion of a CG into a life footage is the same as a media production
workflow. The matchmoving process is part of an animation workflow which is part of the production
workflow. To achieve the final footage there is need to incorporate inherit workflows together.
Video Production Workflow:
To create a film, the process need to follow the basis of the media production workflow.

Preproduction: This is the beginning of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This is the main focus of this project.
After my research into the matchmoving workflow, I decided to create an adaptation of a workflow
that
will suit this project.
Figure 2: A basic VFX workflow showing the production stages.
I decided to combine the production workflow and the basic matchmoving workflow so as to
accommodate
changes during the project. In figure1 below it shows a basic animation production workflow with the
corresponding video production stages and figure2 is a basic matchmove workflow with the different
production stages. The incorporation of CG into a live footage involves a large scale of processes.
Figure 3: A basic Matchmove workflow showing production stages.
In a simple VFX scene, the animator is responsible for the 3D creation, a visual artist is
responsible for the composite and the key role is played by the matchmover who create the CG camera
from the real camera and ensure others have the generated CG scene to work with. The matchmoving
usually happens early in the production workflow.
Figure 4: Adapted Workflow for the project.
I was able to derive this workflow for the insertion of the 3D into the live action footage. The
production is divided into 3 stages as a normal video production process.
Pre Production: I decided to have this into 2 stages. The first stage was a plan of the video
sequence plot.
The evaluation stage is a part of the matchmoving process but doesn t

Dog Food Regulation
Dog food is regulated in two ways. The first way is through Federal regulations, enforced by the FDA
s Center for Veterinary Medicine (CVM), is responsible for creating standards for all animal feeds:
proper identification of product, net quantity statement, manufacturer s address, and proper listing of
ingredients. The second way is by a governing body of pet food industry business insiders. The board
consists of state and federal representatives as well but the association of American Feed Control
Officials (AAFCO) is not a government entity. Although they develop uniform regulations, laws,
standards, and policies they are still not an enforceable government body. They urge the adoption by
member agencies for uniformity. (1) This group is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Natural, although there is no official definition is thought to be without artificial flavors, preservatives,
or colors. Organic speaks of the original ingredients used to make the food. How the plants and
animals were raised to produce the product. The item must state that each product that is organic be
state so on the ingredient list. For example: Organic chicken, chicken fat, organic brown rice, beet
pulp, sweet potatoes, flackseed, barley, organic wheat, organic carrots. Several of these ingredients are
not organic but since one of them is the manufacture can say the product is organic.
If the name includes the words flavored such as flavored with chicken or liver flavored then no
specific percentage is required but the product must contain enough flavor to be detected.
Net quantity
The package must conform with the U.S. Fair Packaging and Labeling Act. Remember everything is
based on net weight on a dog food label. If the produce is listed by volumn then it must also state the
equivilent in net weight. The net quantity statement describes how much product is actually in the
container. This is useful when comparing the cost of similar items. For example: a 30 pound bag of
dry food may cost less than a 15 pound bag because the smaller bag may be more concentrated rather
than puffed up with extra

Why Is Henry V A Good King
Henry V was a man of little morals and an aspiration to be a great king, meaning he had to leave the
concept of being a good person far behind him. Henry V is well known for his invasion of France and
being underestimated, but what is not often talked about is the internal struggle that he faced when he
took the throne. It is clear when analyzing the events that he chooses to be a good king over the latter
and this meant having to make some terrible decisions, including the murder of his friend. When
looking at Henry s upbringing, his rise to the throne, and his reign, the events can be seen as to how
Henry chose being a good king over being a good man. Henry s upbringing was not like a normal
child s in today s age would have been. It is his subjectivity that paid the price as the result of being
shaped by a father who was not afraid of murder. When Henry was first born, he was of no real ...

When the war is occurring, a couple of his Tavern friends were caught looting. During this time
period, that was punishable by death and Henry gives the order to hang his dear friend Bardolf. Not
only did he give the order, but it is believed that he was a witness to it, meaning that this was a fully
conscious decision. Now, it is hard to imagine ever watching your best friend being hung. Morally,
Henry would have understood why Bardolf was stealing because he was poor and looting was his way
of providing. Because of Henry s involvement at the Tavern, he was aware of his friends ways. Yet, as
a king he was forced to view Bardolf as any other common thief and for his crimes he had to be hung
immediately. This satisfied the English people and that was Henry s top priority. Bardolf s hanging
acted as a test of faith, one that Henry passed with flying colors in the eyes of the

Tolerance In To Kill A Mockingbird
As much as people try to avoid it, fact is that no one in this world is born equal; there is always
something unique that sets one different from another. It is those differences that require us, as
Barbara Jordon says, to accept people who are different that ourselves. Jordan emphasizes the
importance of tolerance and how it helps us develop into better societies and people. During the 1930
s, different races in the United States were being discriminated against their skin tone and placed on
separate levels. In more modern times, people were still being criticized for having different ideas and
while acting upon them. Even all the way in Iraq, discrimination is presented once again towards Jews
and their independent country. Anything contrasting oneself will never be the same as he or she would
like, creating a necessity to tolerate. Barbara Jordan s quote helps reveal that tolerance is essential to
avoid conflict, to unite with others, and to change for the better. The award winning novel To Kill a
Mockingbird, written by Harper Lee, teaches through the eyes of a young girl that problems originated
from intolerance. Atticus, a man defending a negro, poses to the jury the idea why the case is unfair.
He argues that The state has not produced one iota of medical evidence proving Tom guilty and in turn
has relied instead upon the testimony of two witnesses , whose claims have been flatly contradicted by
the defendant (Lee 271). To translate, the accusation was

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Bitter Gourd
INTRODUCTION
Bitter gourd is a vegetable and it belongs to the family cucurbitacea. It is grown for both commercial
as well as economic purpose across the various state of the country.
It is produced mainly in tropical and sub tropical regions of India i.e. Maharashtra, Kerala, Tamil
Nadu and Karnataka.
Botanical name: Memordica charantia
Season: Jan Mar Sept Dec are the ideal seasons. For rainy season crop, sowing can started after the
receiving of first few showers during May June.
The immature fruits of bitter gourd plants are used in a variety of cooking preparations. These fruits
and shoots are then boiled, fried or pickled.
Total area of production in Kerala: 2366 ha.

3) Fruit Fly (Dacus cucurbitae and Ducus dorsalis): In bitter gourds fruit fly is the major pest found.
The fly attack is very often when there is high humidity. The adult fly does not directly infect the fruit
instead it lays eggs in the fruits. These eggs give maggots, these maggots feed from inside the fruits
and causes rotting.
 Controls:
1) There is no direct control of maggots because they are inside the developing fruits. Regular

Mind Map Analysis
I found this activity very interesting because it was more creative than some of our other discussion
board assignments. The mind map expanded significantly just from one idea, which shows the
strength of the word Terrorism and the problems that have occurred because of it. It was interesting to
see a collective train of thought amongst many people. I noticed that a lot of people mentioned the
countless shootings that have been reported recently in the news. While there were many shootings
before this school year, I thought of Parkland while looking at the mind map. One of my classmates
graduated from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School and is friends with many of the older siblings
of the students that died in the shooting. His mother also works at the school, and while she survived
without any injuries, it must be terrifying knowing that she was there. This was unfortunately the first
time I had a connection to a school shooting I could not imagine the stress and fear that my peer must
have endured. I also saw a bubble with KKK written inside of it. This stood out to me because I go to
school in Charlottesville, which is now famously known ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A bubble that stood out to me was Middle East. While many people may think of the Middle East
when the word terrorism is in mind, it puts a negative connotation on the entire region. This goes for
other places that have had shootings and traumatic events. No one will ever hear the words
Columbine, Parkland or Charlottesville without thinking about violence and crime. Going back to the
events in Charlottesville, the riots made it slightly difficult to go back to school. I had already
completed one year of school and had an overall positive opinion of the city. The current reputation is
racist and violent; while I don t agree with this, it has made me question where I am, if I am safe, and
what kind of people are around

Reasonable Persuasion Vs Probable Cause Analysis
Upon looking at the terms of reasonable suspicion and probable cause, one will believe that they both
mean the same thing but stated in two entirely different ways. Reasonable suspicion is the rational
conjecture that a crime has been, will be or is being performed based on the details and situations
presented along with the officer s knowledge and familiarity. Probable cause is supported by facts and
circumstance along the same lines of reasonable suspicion except that it includes concrete evidence
that is able to support the crime. Reasonable suspicion is when it looks as though a crime has been
performed and is used as validation for investigating suspicious behaviors. These are just two terms
that are meant to be deciphered by the public

members have one 14 year term that is staggered so that one governor s term expires every even
numbered year. The other two are the President and Vice President of the Board of Governors, they
have a four year term but may serve an extra four year term if reappointed. The only part of this
related to politics is that the President nominates the governors and the U.S. Senate confirms the

Some famously known autobiographies are ones such as Night by Elie Weisel, Man s Search for

Another big example of how the Holocaust was a real event is the survivors. Although many were
young at the time, survivors still live to tell their stories about their horrific experiences there. Some of
them have been able to share on media such as talk shows, through books and traveling to give
speeches. A well known author, political activist, Nobel Laureate and Holocaust survivor is Elie

Weathering and Erosion
bub
Weather is the state of the atmosphere at a given time and place, with respect to variables such as
temperature, moisture, wind velocity, and barometric pressure. Weather can be classified as day to day
temperature and precipitation activity, where climiate is average atmospheric conditions over longer
periods of time. Weather occurs from temperature and moisture differences between one place and
another. These differences can occur due to the sun angle at any particular spot. The strong
temperature contrast between polar and tropical air gives rise to the jet stream. Weather systems in the
mid latitudes, such as extratropical cyclones , are caused by instabilities of the jet stream flow.
Because the Earth s axis is tilted ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Higher altitudes are cooler than lower altitudes, which is explained by the lapse rate. On local scales,
temperature differences can occur because different surfaces (such as oceans, forests, ice sheets, or
man made objects) have differing physical characteristics such as reflectivity, roughness, or moisture
content.
Surface temperature differences in turn cause pressure differences. A hot surface heats the air above it
and the air expands, lowering the air pressure and its density. The resulting horizontal pressure
gradient accelerates the air from high to low pressure, creating wind, and Earth s rotation then causes
curvature of the flow via the Coriolis effect. The simple systems thus formed can then display
emergent behaviour to produce more complex systems and thus other weather phenomena. Large scale
examples include the Hadley cell while a smaller scale example would be coastal breezes.
The atmosphere is a chaotic system, so small changes to one part of the system can grow to have large
effects on the system as a whole. This makes it difficult to accurately predict weather more than a few
days in advance, though weather forecasters are continually working to extend this limit through the
scientific study of weather, meteorology. It is theoretically impossible to make useful day to day
predictions more than about two weeks ahead, imposing an upper limit to potential for improved
prediction skill.

The Ethics Of Meat-Eating
The ethics of meat eating has not been an excuse to pick apart an old way of life, but has been a topic
of dispute since fourth century BC Athens. According to the book about the history of meat eating,
The Bloodless Revolution, the first chapter of Genesis in the Bible instructed that plants are for
animals, and animals are for humans to eat. This religious and philosophical pillar provided people a
sound reason to utilize humanity s predatory instincts. Yet, some people in the seventeenth century
called for an entire rethinking of human relationship with nature. In fact, important philosophers like
Descartes, Gasendi, and Francis Bacon, all advocated vegetarianism. They (vegetarians, the term first
coined in 1840) thought, man is lord of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

will disagree. I think people should be willing to sacrifice occasional taste for a more equal and
enriching life, but someone will disagree with that as well. It s up to everybody on their own to decide
how humans should be written down in history. People who were on the brink of the destroying

A new infrastructure will have to be made if gas cars are replaced with electric cars.

Print Is Not So Fast
A Forbes magazine article titled Print is Dead? Not so Fast. details how print media has been
transitioning from the physical, tangible print that it has been for centuries to the World Wide Web and
other digital formats. Once print media is transferred to a digital format it is more easily distributed
and is typically more cost effective than when it had to be printed. However, completely transferring
all advertisement from print media to a digital format may not always be prudent. There are still many
aspects of the physical print media that are better than digital. Print media is more tangible and can be
easily directed towards target markets. With less print ads, any ad left in print will stand out more.

Meanwhile, from the beginning of the data collection to the end, total revenue of print advertising had
dropped by about 58% (Edmonds, et al.).
Looking at the numbers from Figure 1 it may be obvious that the amount of revenue received from
print advertisements is decreasing dramatically, however not so obvious is that the increase in revenue
from online advertisement is much more drastic. Another result of the decreasing revenue of print
advertisement and increasing revenue of online advertisement is the overall decrease of revenue from
advertisement. From the beginning of the data collection to the end, the total combined revenues of
print and online advertisement had decreased by about 52% (Edmonds, et al.).

The Reentry Policy Brief Provides
Executive Summary
The Reentry policy brief provides input to the Task Force set up by Florida Governor Rick Scott to
reduce the number of incarcerated juveniles and avoid increasing the already wide racial disparities of
the incarcerated population of juveniles. Most reentry facilities in Florida are run by reentry programs
that were expanded from Transition from Prison to Community (TPC) and Transition from Jail to
Community (TJC) models. Yet these programs appear to not have fully addressed recidivism among
juveniles and are also not tailored to lower the widening racial disparities among the incarcerated
juvenile population. Better evidence based reentry practices are needed to ensure that these programs
are not only effective in discontinuing the cycle of recidivism but also address the disproportionate
minority contact. A growing body of research demonstrates that comprehensive multi dimensional
reentry frameworks increase the chances of reentry programs stopping the cycle of crime among
Florida s juvenile offenders. A comprehensive multi dimensional reentry program refers to a
standardized program that is implemented statewide and which incorporates evidence based practices
such as assessment of needs and risks, individual case planning, and cognitive behavioral
interventions.

Doing Gender
In this essay I discuss that doing gender means creating differences between girls and boys and
women and men.... (West Zimmerman 2002:13) I am concentrating on the female perspective, how
societyputs forth expectations of what is natural or biological even though, in some cases, it can be
quite demeaning and degrading. I am using some examples from the local media and also a few
childhoodexperiences that have helped me to now strongly suspect that the quote from Simone
Beauvoir (1972) One is not born a woman, but rather becomes one most likely has quite a bit of truth
to it. There is continuing controversy about the differences between girls and boys, men and women,
the biological make up and also how men and women grow up in ... Show more content on

12 years old. Her parents had the latest mod cons shipped out from the USA and her bedroom was
decked out with hot pink shag pile carpet and a white fourposter bed with gold trimming and pale pink
floral fabric, which flowed delicately in all the right places. My bedroom had the bare necessities,
which was all I really needed or wanted. My bedroom was very basic with no signs of femininity and I
was okay with that. I also didn t like wearing frills or lace. I thought it was rather lame . What I
initially found very fascinating about Karin was thatshe had boobs , which she was particularly proud
of, and I was very flat chested. I d never met anyone my age with boobs before. She convinced me
that that s what boys like, and also emphasized the greatimportance of being liked by boys. She
persuaded me to wear one of her old training bras and stuff it with tissues. I was so in awe of her that I
complied. There were only a couple of older boys on the mission station and they were actually
teenagers, so their approval of our maturing young bodies, well... hers in particular, was very
important. Before Karin had arrived the thought of attracting the attention of a boy didn t even register

There is much debate regarding the necessity and safety of childhood vaccinations. The Centers for
Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends a series of vaccinations that include 26 doses of
various vaccinations before age 6. Each state regulates and enforces the requirements for childhood
vaccinations in the United State. Some parents believe that vaccinations can be harmful and want the
right to choose to raise their child without immunizations. Since effective widespread immunizations
have been accomplished, incidences of diseases have been significantly reduced. These diseases

My viewpoint for childhood inoculations supports inoculations because scientific history of vaccine
success, current statistics of morbidity rates, and research on vaccine safety. Documentation of the
history of Jenner s achievement with the vaccine to prevent smallpox provides information for
vaccination success. (Riedel, 2005) The comparison of the annual morbidity rate of the twentieth
century and the morbidity rate of 2000, shows a dramatic decrease. (Malone Hinman, n.d.) These
numbers demonstrate the success of childhood immunizations with improved survival rate in the
United States. (Malone Hinman, n.d.) Extensive research has been conducted to determine the safety
of vaccinations. Thimerosal is accused of possibly causing autism. The CDC has concluded that the
exposure to ethylmercury from thimerosal containing immunizations during pregnancy or as a young
child, was not associated with any of the ASD (autism) outcomes. (Centers for Disease Control and
Prevention, 2011)

The Un Recent Drafting Of A Sustainable Development Goals...
This essay is going to discuss the UN recent drafting of a set of Sustainable Development Goals
(SDGs) and more specifically the idea behind goal number 7 : Ensure access to affordable, reliable,
sustainable and modern energy for all 1. Part One Because energy is one of the most fundamental
states of the universe, it is easily measurable. In physics, calculating the energy of given a system is
one of the most basic problems, whether the question applies to an electronics problem,
thermodynamics one, or mechanical issue. We can thus assume that energy, as a hole, is easily
measurable. The goal seven s first target quotes: 7.1 by 2030 ensure universal access to affordable,
reliable, and modern energy services 2. From this statement, we understand that a main issue facing
today sustainable development is access to energy. Because energy is easily calculable, it is
straightforward to find the amount of energy we use, and the amount that is needed. Unfortunately, all
of these number and terms are subject to twists that contradict themselves. Who do we define how
much energy is needed ? How do we define a reliable and moderne energy service ? Yet, there is no
internationally accepted definition of access to energy. However, according to the IEA, it can be
described as: Household access to a minimum level of electricity Household access to safer and more
sustainable cooking and heating fuels and stoves

Monasticism Research Paper
What is a MONASTERY / MONASTICISM?
Monasteries were places where groups of men or women could live together and worship God. The
men in the monasteries were called monks and the women were called nuns. A monastery is
sometimes called an abbey or a priory . Monasteries for women are also sometimes called nunneries .
Monasteries always had lots of small buildings for the monks or nuns to live in. These are called cells
. British ones were usually round. Saxon ones were rectangular. There would also be a kitchen and
workshops. They could be built of wood or stone.
Monasticism is a religious way of life in which one declares to devote oneself fully to spiritual work.

went by the influential families in the medieval era began establishing their own monasteries within
their estates. The abbots who were designated to oversee these monasteries were related, directly or in

the interest of the owners. This resulted into the rapid integration of the monasteries into the power
structure of the medieval society.
Where did MONASTICISM spread?
From Egypt, the popularity of Monasticism spread very rapidly to Palestine. This country, sanctified
as it was by the life and death of the founder of the Christian faith, attracted the interest from all
corners of the Empire.
It appeared in Syria during the first decades of the fourth century. The great hymnographer and
theologian Ephraim the Syrian also made successful efforts to organize the monks.
By way of Cappadocia and Asia Minor, monasticism reached the capital of the Empire,
Constantinople. Many of the monasteries that were established in the suburbs on both sides of the
Bosporus became flourishing organizations, and through their activities influenced the course of

How To Match American Culture
The culture and American society is a new experience, but I have to learn to adapt. There is a lot of
culture shock when trying to match American society. As an American we must learn to understand

of the society to live. It affects the way we view the fl at, habits, preferences and our way we relate to
other people. Value is a summary of the ideas that are on the good things, right and desirable. The
target is the social rules and guidelines. Most American foods are French fries, burgers and such.
Many foods come from abroad. My interest in education. US Education is provided mainly by the

The Effects Of Climate And Low Nutritional Status Of...
For more than a century, there has been a heated debate if humans, thru the usage of anthropogenic
fire regimes and direct influence on the extinction of mega faunas, affected the overall environment in
Australia. The scholars that are against these accusations argue that the change developed due to the
effects of climate and low nutritional status of Australian soils. In addition, they also argue that the
evidence provided by the scholars who think human affected environment are inconclusive and not
convincing enough. One of the issues is interpreting the information that certain studies showcase. In

Therefore, we can conclude that there was an impact on ecosystem by humans. Correlative evidence
can be found regarding rapid extinction in Queensland (Turney et al., 2008; Gillespie et al., 2012),
where there was an abrupt decline in Spororomiella fungal spores indicative of megahebrivores.
Furthermore, since the arrival of humans in Australia, one of the main sources of obtaining food was
hunting mega faunas, which substantially decreased their number and led to their extinction. Beside
hunting, the humans picked fruits and other type of food that might have been the same source of
eating for mega faunas, which additionally pressured them and made theme extinct. Also, the
modification of the fire regime also affected them. To give an example, through the usage of OSL and
uranium series methord to date the megafaunal s remain, the large flightless bird Genyornis newtoni is
one of the many animals that extinct by the hand of human (Miller et al. (1999) and Johnson et al.
(1999)). By the removal of megafaunas, it would improve opportunities for establishment of trees and
shrubs (Bond and Keeley, 2005;
Staver et al., 2009). On the other hand, scholars who are against this hypothesis argue that the process
of extinction was underway for some time before the arrival of humans and that the climate change
was crucial to the extermination of the mega faunas. There is a strong

  • 2. A Research Study On Platelet Rich Plasma Abstract Background: Platelet rich plasma (PRP) is defined as a high concentration of platelets suspended in a small volume of plasma and was proposed for periodontal tissue regeneration. However, although it has been widely studied, there is much controversy on its efficacy. Purpose: To study and meta analyze the effectiveness by means of clinical attachment level, probing depth reduction, bleeding, suppuration and recession of PRP for periodontal intrabony defects on randomized clinical trials (RCT) Material and methods: An electronic literature search was conducted by two reviewers (AR and AM) in several databases up to February 2014. The PICO question was: Do intrabony defects in treatment for periodontal regeneration with PRP have a higher or similar efficacy that other periodontal regeneration treatments? Articles were included in this systematic review if they were RCT with10 or more human subjects, reporting the radiographic and clinical outcomes PRP for guided tissue regeneration in intrabony periodontal defects. Random effects meta analyses of the selected studies were applied to avoid any bias being caused by methodological differences between studies. Results: Twenty two papers of full text of these articles were then obtained, and reviewed. Of these, 18 articles fulfilled the inclusion criteria and subsequently were qualitatively analyzed. Eleven articles were included for evaluating of PPD. The WMD was 0.86 mm, with a 95% CI= 0.44 mm to 1.29 mm. For BL, 2 ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Precious Metals Research Paper Precious metals do not have their own group on the periodic table. They are arranged together on the table. These elements do have the same chemical properties, however they do not have their own classification. All of these metals do not rust, they are resistant to oxidation and corrosion and they only break down when they are in high temperatures. Gold (Au), silver (Ag), platinum (Pt), ruthenium (Ru), rhodium (Rh), palladium (Pd), iridium (Ir), and osmium (Os) all have similar properties and are considered to be precious metals.1 Many of these elements were found in platinum ores. Scientists used aqua regia, an acid that can dissolve metals like gold which single acids cannot do alone, to find the pure substance of the platinum ores. They ended up ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The only elements that were not found in this process was gold and silver. These two metals were known since ancient times. If they were to use aqua regia, then the pure substances of gold and silver would be extracted from the ore. Platinum was discovered by Antonio de Ulloa in 1735. Ulloa established the first mineralogy lab in Spain and was the first to study platinum. Platinum was first recognized as an element in 1774 when Charles Wood isolated the ore with aqua regia. Then the pure form of platinum was found in the residue. However, there were more than one substance that was unknown in the residue. Hippolyte Victor Collet Descotils believed that there was an unidentified metals that caused the red color of some platinum salts. In 1803, William Hyde Wollaston investigated this by first dissolving the crude platinum ore in aqua regia. Then he was able to get to the platinum metal by dissolving the solution in ammonium chloride. The liquid which remained had properties which matched no known substance. Wollaston named it Rhodium. This was not the last element that Wollaston discovered that year. He used aqua regia to dissolve the platinum ore and isolated ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 5. Plane Personal Narrative Ever since I was in junior high school I have been fixated on remote control planes and small unmanned aerial vehicles. The interest ironically started out from a toy helicopter crash combined with my curiosity, igniting a life long passion that eventually became my singular fixation and my ticket into the future. I built and crashed my first few planes before I joined a local group of hobbyists who were involved with the Tipton County Radio Control Club. They brought me to the top of an old, filled in landfill, now covered in lush, green grass that swayed with the slightest breeze blowing through the leaves of the surrounding trees. The designated flying field was at the highest point of the landfill. With well manicured fields still fresh with the scent of freshly mown grass, it stood in stark contrast ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Some of them offered to help me learn to fly by trying their planes, and through them I built up the courage to fly my more fragile planes. On that day I had my first successful flights with my Nieuport 17 biplane, a World War I plane that took me nearly three weeks to complete. After landing the plane, I began to talk to the other pilots and learned the meaning behind the often repeated phrase fly, crash, repeat. I built more planes and several months later started a new project, a small drone that could be flown for short distances using a camera. Its four powerful blades flew very well during the maiden flight until I had to repeat the phrase fly, crash, repeat in a disappointed voice as my battle with gravity and the ground was lost. I retrieved my craft and began the repair process, delaying the project by two more months. The next flight was more successful as it flew faster and responded quicker than before. I knew it wouldn t crash from a mechanical failure ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. Informative Essay On Social Media Technological advances in our world over the past decade have impacted our society tremendously. With these advances have come new social media websites that people all around the world use in their everyday life. Social media started out as a means of communication from person to person but has drastically grown to be even a source of news and a reporting channel. The world can be updated on events that occur within seconds through the use of websites and cellular apps with the most popular today being Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. The increased speed of reporting news and other things however does not necessarily determine all things posted via social media to be valid. With the click of a few buttons on your phone, anybody has the capability to post a status or tweet that has the potential of being viewed by thousands to millions of people. The article Tweeting Fast Matters, But Only if I Think About It: Information Updates on Social Media uses the popular platform Twitter in a study to determine whether or not there is a correlation between the speed of updates and how people determine source credibility (Spence, Lachlan, Edwards, 55). Twitter and other social media platforms are useful in reporting news fast and keeping people connected but not all information shared online should be assumed true. Twitter is a social media platform that allows people to post messages or tweets publically with the option for others to reply to the message. Over the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 10. Why Is Henry V A Good King Henry V was a man of little morals and an aspiration to be a great king, meaning he had to leave the concept of being a good person far behind him. Henry V is well known for his invasion of France and being underestimated, but what is not often talked about is the internal struggle that he faced when he took the throne. It is clear when analyzing the events that he chooses to be a good king over the latter and this meant having to make some terrible decisions, including the murder of his friend. When looking at Henry s upbringing, his rise to the throne, and his reign, the events can be seen as to how Henry chose being a good king over being a good man. Henry s upbringing was not like a normal child s in today s age would have been. It is his subjectivity that paid the price as the result of being shaped by a father who was not afraid of murder. Morally, Henry would have understood why Bardolf was stealing because he was poor and looting was his way of providing. Because of Henry s involvement at the Tavern, he was aware of his friends ways. Yet, as a king he was forced to view Bardolf as any other common thief and for his crimes he had to be hung immediately. This satisfied the English people and that was Henry s top priority. • 11. Tolerance In To Kill A Mockingbird As much as people try to avoid it, fact is that no one in this world is born equal; there is always something unique that sets one different from another. It is those differences that require us, as Barbara Jordon says, to accept people who are different that ourselves. Jordan emphasizes the importance of tolerance and how it helps us develop into better societies and people. During the 1930 s, different races in the United States were being discriminated against their skin tone and placed on separate levels. In more modern times, people were still being criticized for having different ideas and while acting upon them. Even all the way in Iraq, discrimination is presented once again towards Jews and their independent country. Anything contrasting oneself will never be the same as he or she would like, creating a necessity to tolerate. Barbara Jordan s quote helps reveal that tolerance is essential to avoid conflict, to unite with others, and to change for the better. The award winning novel To Kill a Mockingbird, written by Harper Lee, teaches through the eyes of a young girl that problems originated from intolerance. Atticus, a man defending a negro, poses to the jury the idea why the case is unfair. He argues that The state has not produced one iota of medical evidence proving Tom guilty and in turn has relied instead upon the testimony of two witnesses , whose claims have been flatly contradicted by the defendant (Lee 271). The mind map expanded significantly just from one idea, which shows the strength of the word Terrorism and the problems that have occurred because of it. It was interesting to see a collective train of thought amongst many people. I noticed that a lot of people mentioned the countless shootings that have been reported recently in the news. While there were many shootings before this school year, I thought of Parkland while looking at the mind map. One of my classmates graduated from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School and is friends with many of the older siblings of the students that died in the shooting. His mother also works at the school, and while she survived without any injuries, it must be terrifying knowing that she was there. Going back to the events in Charlottesville, the riots made it slightly difficult to go back to school. I had already completed one year of school and had an overall positive opinion of the city. Probable cause is supported by facts and circumstance along the same lines of reasonable suspicion except that it includes concrete evidence that is able to support the crime. Weather can be classified as day to day temperature and precipitation activity, where climiate is average atmospheric conditions over longer periods of time. Weather occurs from temperature and moisture differences between one place and another. These differences can occur due to the sun angle at any particular spot. The strong temperature contrast between polar and tropical air gives rise to the jet stream. Weather systems in the mid latitudes, such as extratropical cyclones , are caused by instabilities of the jet stream flow. Because the Earth s axis is tilted ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Higher altitudes are cooler than lower altitudes, which is explained by the lapse rate. On local scales, temperature differences can occur because different surfaces (such as oceans, forests, ice sheets, or man made objects) have differing physical characteristics such as reflectivity, roughness, or moisture content. Surface temperature differences in turn cause pressure differences. A hot surface heats the air above it and the air expands, lowering the air pressure and its density. The resulting horizontal pressure gradient accelerates the air from high to low pressure, creating wind, and Earth s rotation then causes curvature of the flow via the Coriolis effect. The simple systems thus formed can then display emergent behaviour to produce more complex systems and thus other weather phenomena. Large scale examples include the Hadley cell while a smaller scale example would be coastal breezes. The atmosphere is a chaotic system, so small changes to one part of the system can grow to have large effects on the system as a whole. This makes it difficult to accurately predict weather more than a few days in advance, though weather forecasters are continually working to extend this limit through the scientific study of weather, meteorology. It is theoretically impossible to make useful day to day predictions more than about two weeks ahead, imposing an upper limit to potential for improved prediction skill. ... This religious and philosophical pillar provided people a sound reason to utilize humanity s predatory instincts. Yet, some people in the seventeenth century called for an entire rethinking of human relationship with nature. The Reentry Policy Brief Provides Executive Summary The Reentry policy brief provides input to the Task Force set up by Florida Governor Rick Scott to reduce the number of incarcerated juveniles and avoid increasing the already wide racial disparities of the incarcerated population of juveniles. Most reentry facilities in Florida are run by reentry programs that were expanded from Transition from Prison to Community (TPC) and Transition from Jail to Community (TJC) models. Yet these programs appear to not have fully addressed recidivism among juveniles and are also not tailored to lower the widening racial disparities among the incarcerated juvenile population. Better evidence based reentry practices are needed to ensure that these programs are not only effective in discontinuing the cycle of recidivism but also address the disproportionate minority contact. A growing body of research demonstrates that comprehensive multi dimensional reentry frameworks increase the chances of reentry programs stopping the cycle of crime among Florida s juvenile offenders. A comprehensive multi dimensional reentry program refers to a standardized program that is implemented statewide and which incorporates evidence based practices such as assessment of needs and risks, individual case planning, and cognitive behavioral interventions. • 38. The Effects Of Climate And Low Nutritional Status Of... For more than a century, there has been a heated debate if humans, thru the usage of anthropogenic fire regimes and direct influence on the extinction of mega faunas, affected the overall environment in Australia. The scholars that are against these accusations argue that the change developed due to the effects of climate and low nutritional status of Australian soils. In addition, they also argue that the evidence provided by the scholars who think human affected environment are inconclusive and not convincing enough. One of the issues is interpreting the information that certain studies showcase. In many instances, it can say humans are to blame, but also that they aren t to blame. However, based on the information presented in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Therefore, we can conclude that there was an impact on ecosystem by humans. Correlative evidence can be found regarding rapid extinction in Queensland (Turney et al., 2008; Gillespie et al., 2012), where there was an abrupt decline in Spororomiella fungal spores indicative of megahebrivores. Furthermore, since the arrival of humans in Australia, one of the main sources of obtaining food was hunting mega faunas, which substantially decreased their number and led to their extinction. Beside hunting, the humans picked fruits and other type of food that might have been the same source of eating for mega faunas, which additionally pressured them and made theme extinct. Also, the modification of the fire regime also affected them. To give an example, through the usage of OSL and uranium series methord to date the megafaunal s remain, the large flightless bird Genyornis newtoni is one of the many animals that extinct by the hand of human (Miller et al. (1999) and Johnson et al. (1999)). By the removal of megafaunas, it would improve opportunities for establishment of trees and shrubs (Bond and Keeley, 2005; Staver et al., 2009). On the other hand, scholars who are against this hypothesis argue that the process of extinction was underway for some time before the arrival of humans and that the climate change was crucial to the extermination of the mega faunas.
