powerpoint 4 Film the city (final products and evaluation) .pptx
1. Audience feedback
For my evaluation of the final products that I did for the brief, I decided to make a survey to ask some questions to my
audience about what they think about the videos that I have made. I have got back a lot of positive feedback from my
audience showing that they enjoy the shots that were taken and the information that I had presented in my video. Receiving
these answers gives me awareness on what my strengths are and it also shows that I was successful in brief and that my
audience enjoyed the video. I also asked for what could have been improved, the reason for doing this is so that I know what
my audience would have wanted to see more of and it also helps me understand my areas for improvement.
3. Final product evaluation
I like how my videos have turned out it’s a good example to show the cultural experiences that Sunderland has to offer, I made my video using the
different camera shots and compositions including close-ups, establishing shots and including camera movement like panning this made my video look
more interesting which helps capture the audiences' attention.
I had also practiced on how to not only shoot a video but also edit it with the practical work I had to do like the western. I also edited my video using
the techniques that I had learned this helped a lot because it helped me practice and understand the tools that are on premiere pro before doing the
film the city video.
The code and convention that I have used is the camera for example the shots that I used to make my video which I had taken using my phone and the
setting of where the videos had taken place, the reason for doing this is because its gives communicative information and suggest the meaning of the
video which is about what Sunderland has to offer. the camera work was also important in this video as I wanted the audience to not only understand
the video but also be interested and I had also used editing and audio which helped structure and present the video to show the information. When
editing my video, I included typography which included the title and information about the places that I had taken videos about this helps the audience
have an understanding about what the video is about and what the places are. I also included the skills that I had learned from the practical videos, what
helped me on making my video was the audience research because I had an understanding about the audience and how I could make my video. Overall,
I think my videos turned out good by using everything that I had learned about camera work and editing skills.
4. Reflecting on process
What helped me with doing this brief is the research that I did which helped me understand on how to make my video to show the cultural
experiences that Sunderland has to offer, also doing the audience research helped me with ideas as the target audience was 16-21. Another
thing that helped me was planning what I was going to do for my video using storyboards to show how I was going to take my video by using
the different camera shots and movements. I think it was useful to practice using the editing software beforehand because it helped me
have and understanding on how everything works in premiere pro and how to make my film the city promotional video. All the tasks that I
have done throughout the whole brief has helped me because I have learned skills and done practical work that have gave me an
understanding about the different camera shots, this has also been practice which will help me with other projects.
5. Evaluating my performance
Doing the project has helped me develop skills, such as learning how to use the different elements on premiere pro and what I have
learned a lot about Is about the different settings on camera and even though I knew about camera shots the practice that I have done
makes me more confident, this mostly helped for when we were doing the practical tasks and I can take those skills that I have learned and
use them for upcoming projects that I have to do.
For this brief taken in feedback is something that I did, for example the audience feedback that I had asking about what they think about
my final product. Doing this helps me know what I have succeeded in and what improvements were needed for the videos which helps me
understand what learn about what I can do for upcoming projects.
When editing my videos, I had made drafts to see what works and doesn’t and asking feedback from those videos, for my first draft I did
what needed to be improved which was changing how long the text was on for because the feedback that I have received was that the text
wasn’t long on enough so people wouldn’t be able to read it.
I went through different fonts to see which one worked better because a lot of them I had chosen were not visible enough or didn’t fit the
theme of what I was trying to achieve.
I think the initial ideas that I had decided to do had worked for the original brief, by following the information that I had been given. This
has also helped by researching the ideas that could contribute in to making a promotional video. I have leaned technical skills such as how
to use software programme which had helped for the videos that I have made, what I would do next time is taking a lot more videos.
