PLANT STRUCTURE, CLASSIFICATION, GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT.
Plants are important as they produce oxygen, food, building materials and more. They obtain energy through photosynthesis using sunlight, carbon dioxide and water. Plants are classified based on characteristics like habitat and whether they are woody or non-woody. A plant's growth is influenced by internal factors like hormones and external environmental factors like temperature, light and climate. Farmers must understand these factors to successfully grow crops.

- 6. leaf structure • petiole : it joins the blade to the stem. • blade: it is the flat part of the leaves. – It has veins. Veins carry water and minerals. – It has stomata: they are tiny pores that the plant uses for respiration.
- 7. Stem • It brings water and food to the rest of the plant. • It supports the plant. • Herbaceous stem it is soft and flexible. • Woody stem is strong such as trees.
- 8. Roots They are usually underground. •Roots hold the plant in the ground. •Roots absorb water and minerals the plant needs for nutrition. •They have tiny hairs called root hairs.
- 9. The flower • The flower makes seeds and fruit. • In the flower takes place the reproduction of the plants.
