My New Year s Resolution
This year was the same as last when it came time to make my New Year s Resolution. I set out to
exercise more and lost twenty pounds. Also like last, I haven t stuck to my plan and have given up
already. I have tried to accomplish this over the last two years because I have tons of clothes that I can
no longer fit into and it s a small amount that I feel I should be able to lose, but I seem to always fall
short. The first few weeks in January I staied solid. I was going to the gym, eating right, but then daily
life happened and I had a hard time adjusting and fitting it into my daily routine. Plus there is after
holiday gift cards for restaurants, starbucks and I am a coupon collector; Finding good deals on food
always makes it hard to pass up on things that I love to eat when they are at such a bargain.
Sometimes dieting seems a little more expensive than the alternative. While I know it is more healthy
money becomes a factory at times. I had a bad week and then I tried to bounce back and get back on
my fitness routine, and then I got hit with the flu. How am I supposed to workout while I cant breath?

former track athlete one of the biggest concerns of track athletes is the traction that we have on the
bottom of our shoes on outdoor tracks especially during the summer track season.
The Greptile Technology if modified correctly could provide a superior traction when running on the

in a modified state would allow 3M to enter into another submarket of the Sports and Leisure market
and still keep in tack their record of diversified technology and innovation. I am sure if there were to
use the technology for a lighter track shoe with superior traction would be able to enter into the

factors can be used to guide clinical decisions today (e.g., use of chemotherapy in high grade breast
cancer) and may have an even larger impact on clinical decisions in the future (e.g., assessment of
tumor infiltrating lymphocytes to guide the use of immunotherapies). Thus, the accurate pathological
diagnosis represents a critical decision point in clinical medicine, and there would be tremendous
clinical utility to a more objective, reproducible and informative technology for the assessment of
breast pathology. During my PhD training, I developed methods for mitosis detection in color and
multispectral breast cancer histopathological images8,9, and I was a recipient of a copyright from
CNRS France (CNRS Software No. DL 05963 01). In the ICPR 2012 contest on mitosis detection in

While the attendees of the Charlottetown Conference all came to one final decision, there was
definitely more than one point of view within the room. After failing to receive a contribution from the
Province of Canada to a major railway from Halifax to Quebec (Intercolonial Railway), the three
Maritimes colonies had organized the Conference in order to achieve a union between the three of
them, helping the colonies to receive more political power as well as overseas investments. There

While the delegates were discussing terms, there was an American Civil War taking place to the south.
Britain was wanting to reduce its financial and military aids with its North American colonies. This
added to the giant United States armies posed a large threat to the Province of Canada and the leaders
and delegates decided to take action. In fear of the United States taking over the northern half on the
continent, there needed to be change in the colonies. When word spread of a conference being held in
Charlottetown, the Canadian politicians took the opportunity, sending a delegation that had not been
invited but was welcomed nonetheless. After the Canadians arrived to the Conference and shared their
ideas, the other attendees needed some time to think. After seeing no big reason to disagree with the
Province of Canada about uniting all of the colonies, they gave their final statement: A unanimous
vote towards the federation of all of the provinces, as long at the terms were approved.
To summarize, there were two perspectives at the Charlottetown Conference. The three Maritimes
colonies were looking to unite as one to achieve better financial opportunities. Meanwhile, the British
North American colonies were grasping for a union between them and the Maritimes due to their fear

ABSTRACT
Abrasive Water Jet Machining (AWJM) is a new machining technique. Abrasive Water Jet Machining
is widely used in many industries, including mining and aerospace, for cutting, shaping, and reaming.
AWJM is the extended version of Water Jet Machining. AWJM is a non conventional machining
process where the material is removed by impact erosion of the high velocity, high pressure of water
and entrained high velocity of fine grit abrasives such as sand (SiO2) or beads of glass on a work
piece. The Important process parameters which mainly affect the quality of cutting are hydraulic
pressure, traverse speed, standoff distance, abrasive flow rate and types of abrasive material used in
the process. The Important quality parameters in AWJM are Material Removal Rate (MRR), Surface
Roughness (SR), kerf width and tapering of the kerf. This paper reviews the research work carried out
so far in the area AWJM.

They created the Death with Dignity Act that would allow mentally competent yet terminally ill
people to choose to die. The Death with Dignity Act was originally passed in 1994. The law was
immediately challenged in court and prevented from going into effect. As the court cases proceeded,
the Oregon Legislature decided the public did not know what it was doing when it voted and decided
to put the issue back on the ballot in 1997. Oregon Death with Dignity won every court challenge and
on October 27, 1997, the U.S. Supreme Court denied a hearing to challengers of death with dignity,
allowing the law to go into effect. In November 1997, the voters of Oregon overwhelmingly voted to
support the law. Support for the law has continued to increase since its implementation in 1997.
Supporting PAS
There are some people who believe that PAS is merely another decision that a human being should be
able to make about their own life. It is peaceful and easy to prepare for. When a person chooses to die
it is most likely because they are terminally ill. Meaning, they have a disease that will only allow them
to live for a limited amount of time. Some elderly people want to have the option of PAS also.
Sometimes, they grow old and their bodies cannot function the way that they used to. This is
