What practices are currently in place? At the MCIU, Dr. Donna Gaffney, Director of Professional
Learning is charged with designing and implementing a teacher induction program for all staff
including both teaching and non teaching professionals. During an employee s first year of service, he
or she must attend five orientation meetings, three of which are with the whole organization and two
of which are department specific. This allows trainings to target the direct needs of the new employee.
The is allotted for these meets cannot extend over 7.5 hours due to the current union contract (D.
Gaffney, personal communication, January 28, 2016).
In additional to induction meetings, a well established mentorship program is at work for MCIU
employees. Each newly hired candidate is linked with a VIP or Volunteer Induction Profession (This

The commissioning of the twelve is a very special passage which tells of the apostles meaning and
what they must do. The passage is number 58 which spans Matthew 9:35 10:16, Mark 6:6, Luke 9:1
and Luke 10:1 12. This passage is an interesting one in terms of its reading. Not only does each
passage have its own meaning and information, we have two Luke passages in a single read, each one
having its own wording which I will go into later.

time limit. The prompt was to make a simple war game on a grid. At the beginning, we just came up
with some simple rule to begin the game because we knew that we will improve the rule after we
played the game. One of the most important that I learned during I was working on this project is that
playable games take time and testing. It is okay to start with a simple game idea, and we will improve
