Solar Driven Automatic Water Level Controller with Dry Run ProtectionIJERA Editor
This paper presents solar driven automatic water level controller with dry run protection (SDWLC). The main
purpose of SDWLC is to reduce wastage of water, to stop dry running of motor and to use solar energy
effectively by using PV system. Generally water is pumped to overheadtank (OHT) from undergroundtank
(UGT).People will switch on pump when taps go dry, switch off pump when water over flows and they does not
check dry running of motor during this. Also pumping of water to OHT during power cuts is a major problem in
most of villages and in some of cities. However these problems can be solved by SDWLC. By using inverter the
DC generated from PV system is converted in to AC and given to the motor. The operation of water level
controller works upon the fact that water conducts electricity. So water can be used to open or close a circuit. As
the water level rises or falls, different circuits in the controller send different signals. These signals are used to
switch ON or switch OFF the motor pump as per our requirements.

Wireless power transmission via resonance coupling.Xûbåįr Kakar
this slides give you idea about the recent research on Wireless power transmission.
compiled by Muhammad Xubair (BS-Electronic engg) at BUITEMS Quetta Pakistan.
The main intention of this project is to control the speed of a DC motor in alternative directions using speed control unit and to operate the motor in four quadrants: ie, clockwise, counter clock-wise, forward brake and reverse brake.
This system uses an H-bridge motor drive IC for controlling the DC motor from corresponding switches used by the user for pressing. The four switches are connected to the circuit for controlling the movement of the motor. One slide switch interfaced to the circuit is for controlling the alternative direction of the DC motor. A 555 timers is used in the project to develop the required PWM pulses for speed control. The relays are used for changing the polarities of the motor as well as to apply brake to the motor. In the regenerative mode, the current is applied to the circuit in such a way that a revere torque is produced to stop the motor instantaneously .
The four-quadrant control of the DC motor is archived by the varying duty cycles from a 555 timer and their changing polarity with the H-bridge IC by appropriate switch pressing. The alternative speed control feature is achieved by a slide switch operation.
This project in future can be improved by using higher-power electronic devices to operate high- capacity DC motors. Regenerative braking for optimizing the power consumption can also be incorporated.

Abstract: We need energy for every day today work of our life. There are many conventional methods of energy generation but these are depleting very fastly hence non-conventional energy system is very essential at this time to our nation. So an alternate method of non conventional energy generation is proposed in this project. In this project we are generating electrical power as non-conventional method by simply walking or running on foot step. Here Dynamometer is used for converting mechanical energy into electrical energy. The voltage generated by this sensor is stored in battery which will be later on transmitted wirelessly to charge the mobiles.

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.
We all have good and bad thoughts from time to time and situation to situation. We are bombarded daily with spiraling thoughts(both negative and positive) creating all-consuming feel , making us difficult to manage with associated suffering. Good thoughts are like our Mob Signal (Positive thought) amidst noise(negative thought) in the atmosphere. Negative thoughts like noise outweigh positive thoughts. These thoughts often create unwanted confusion, trouble, stress and frustration in our mind as well as chaos in our physical world. Negative thoughts are also known as “distorted thinking”.

The Roman Empire A Historical Colossus.pdfkaushalkr1407
The Roman Empire, a vast and enduring power, stands as one of history's most remarkable civilizations, leaving an indelible imprint on the world. It emerged from the Roman Republic, transitioning into an imperial powerhouse under the leadership of Augustus Caesar in 27 BCE. This transformation marked the beginning of an era defined by unprecedented territorial expansion, architectural marvels, and profound cultural influence.
The empire's roots lie in the city of Rome, founded, according to legend, by Romulus in 753 BCE. Over centuries, Rome evolved from a small settlement to a formidable republic, characterized by a complex political system with elected officials and checks on power. However, internal strife, class conflicts, and military ambitions paved the way for the end of the Republic. Julius Caesar’s dictatorship and subsequent assassination in 44 BCE created a power vacuum, leading to a civil war. Octavian, later Augustus, emerged victorious, heralding the Roman Empire’s birth.
Under Augustus, the empire experienced the Pax Romana, a 200-year period of relative peace and stability. Augustus reformed the military, established efficient administrative systems, and initiated grand construction projects. The empire's borders expanded, encompassing territories from Britain to Egypt and from Spain to the Euphrates. Roman legions, renowned for their discipline and engineering prowess, secured and maintained these vast territories, building roads, fortifications, and cities that facilitated control and integration.
The Roman Empire’s society was hierarchical, with a rigid class system. At the top were the patricians, wealthy elites who held significant political power. Below them were the plebeians, free citizens with limited political influence, and the vast numbers of slaves who formed the backbone of the economy. The family unit was central, governed by the paterfamilias, the male head who held absolute authority.
Culturally, the Romans were eclectic, absorbing and adapting elements from the civilizations they encountered, particularly the Greeks. Roman art, literature, and philosophy reflected this synthesis, creating a rich cultural tapestry. Latin, the Roman language, became the lingua franca of the Western world, influencing numerous modern languages.
Roman architecture and engineering achievements were monumental. They perfected the arch, vault, and dome, constructing enduring structures like the Colosseum, Pantheon, and aqueducts. These engineering marvels not only showcased Roman ingenuity but also served practical purposes, from public entertainment to water supply.

4. INTRODUCTION
Automatic water level controller circuit is a
simple engineering project. It can
automatically switch ON and OFF the
domestic water pump set depending on the
tank water level. You can implement this motor
driver circuit at your home or college using
less costly components.
5. The approximated cost of the project is about
$5 only. The main advantage of this water
level controller circuit is that it automatically
controls the water pump without any user
interaction.
The heart of this pump controller circuit is a NE
555 IC.
6. ABSTRACT
The drinking water crisis in India is reaching
alarming proportions. It might very soon attain
the nature of global crisis. Hence, it is of
utmost importance to preserve water. In many
houses there is unnecessary wastage of water
due to overflow in Overhead Tanks. Automatic
Water Level Controller can provide a solution
to this problem. The operation of water level
controller works upon the fact that water
conducts electricity.
7. So water can be used to open or close a
circuit. As the water level rises or falls, different
circuits in the controller send different signals.
These signals are used to switch ON or switch
OFF the motor pump as per our requirements.
8. MOTIVATION
The total amount of water available on Earth
has been estimated at 1.4 billion km3, enough
to cover the planet with a layer of about 3 km.
About 95% of the Earth's water is in the
oceans, 1% is in the form of vapours and in
the clouds which is unfit for human
consumption leaving us with 4% of water to
use.
9. A study estimated that a person in India
consumes an average of 135 litres per
day. This consumption would rise by 40% by
the year 2025. This signifies the need to
preserve our fresh water resources

11. NE 555 TIMER IC
IC 555 timer is a one of the most widely used
IC in electronics and is used in various
electronic circuits for its robust and stable
properties. It works as square-wave form
generator with duty cycle varying from 50% to
100%, Oscillator and can also provide time
delay in circuits. The 555 timer got its name
from the three 5k Ω resistor connected in a
voltage-divider pattern.
12.
13. APPLICATIONS
The IC 555 timer is used in many circuits, for
example One-shot pulse generator in
Monostable mode as an Oscillator in Astable
Mode or in Bistable mode to produce a flip/flop
type action, also in Pulse Amplitude
Modulation (PAM), Pulse Width Modulation
(PWM) etc.
14. RESISTORS
Resistors are electronic components which
have a specific, never-changing electrical
resistance. The resistor’s resistance limits the
flow of electrons through a circuit. They
are passive components, meaning they only
consume power (and can’t generate it).
15. Resistors are usually added to circuits where
they complement active components like op-
amps, microcontrollers, and other integrated
circuits. Commonly resistors are used to limit
current, divide voltages, and pull-up I/O lines.
Resistors are used in many fields the basic of
all are LED current limiting so that they don’t
blow up, they act as voltage dividers and many
more.
16.
17. RELAY(6V,30A)
A relay is an electrically operated switch.
Many relays use an electromagnet to
mechanically operate a switch, but other
operating principles are also used, such
as solid-state relays. Relays are used where it
is necessary to control a circuit by a low-power
signal (with complete electrical isolation
between control and controlled circuits), or
where several circuits must be controlled by
one signal.
18. The first relays were used in long
distance telegraph circuits as amplifiers: they
repeated the signal coming in from one circuit
and re-transmitted it on another circuit. Relays
were used extensively in telephone exchanges
and early computers to perform logical
operations.
19.
20. BC548 TRANSISTOR
The BC548 is a general purpose NPN bipolar
junction transistor found commonly in
European electronic equipment and present-
day designs in Australian and British
electronics magazines where a commonly-
available low-cost NPN transistor is required. It
is a part of a family of NPN and
PNP epitaxial silicon transistors that include
higher-quality variants.
21.
22. DIODE
A diode is an electrical device allowing current to
move through it in one direction with far greater
ease than in the other.
A diode is a two-terminal electronic component
with asymmetric conductance. it has low (ideally
zero) resistance to current in one direction, and
high (ideally infinite) resistance in the other. A
semiconductor diode, the most common type
today, is a crystalline piece of semiconductor
material with a p-n junction connected to two
electrical terminals.[5]
23.
24. CAPACITORS
A capacitor is used to store energy
electrostatically in an electric feild. There are
two types of capacitor. Plate and cylindrical.
The nonconducting dielectric acts to increase
the capacitor's charge capacity. Capacitors are
widely used as parts of electrical circuits in
many common electrical devices to provide
large amount of charge.
26. STEP DOWN TRANSFORMER
It is electrical device which convert high
voltage current into low voltage current. It is
based on the concept of electromagnetic
induction. It consists of three parts:-
A)Primary coil- the coil in which input currents
goes.
B)Secondary coil- the coil from which output
current comes outwith voltage reduced.
27.
28. LED
A light-emitting diode (LED) is a two-lead
semiconductor light source. It is a p–n junction
diode, which emits light when activated. When a
suitable voltage is applied to the leads,
electrons are able to recombine with electron
holes within the device, releasing energy in the
form of photons. This effect is called
electroluminescence, and the color of the light is
determined by the energy band gap of the
semiconductor.
29.
30. CONCLUSION
Thus by using this simple arrangement we can
save wastage of water and electricity. It is very
important for us to control the use of natural
source of energy. By using this circuit we can
solve our purpose very easily.
