This paper discusses the development of a photovoltaic (PV) fed boost sinusoidal pulse width modulation (SPWM) inverter for driving a single-phase induction motor. The methodology involves stepping up the input voltage using a boost converter connected between the PV array and the inverter, while a MATLAB/Simulink model demonstrates the efficacy of the proposed system. It highlights the importance of efficient power converters and the evolution of inverter technology in meeting the increasing global energy demand.
