Personal And Professional Development
Essay
Crafting an essay on the subject of personal and professional development can be a daunting
task, requiring deep introspection and careful articulation of one's experiences, goals, and
aspirations. This topic demands a delicate balance between personal anecdotes and professional
insights, intertwining them seamlessly to showcase growth and learning.
Exploring personal development involves delving into one's own journey of self-discovery,
reflecting on past experiences, challenges, and achievements. This introspective process can be
emotionally taxing, as it requires confronting both successes and failures while deciphering their
impact on personal growth.
On the professional front, navigating the complexities of career advancement, skill enhancement,
and professional relationships adds another layer of complexity. Analyzing one's professional
journey involves evaluating skill development, career milestones, and the strategies employed to
overcome obstacles and seize opportunities.
Moreover, synthesizing personal and professional development into a cohesive narrative requires
clarity of thought and effective communication skills. Organizing thoughts coherently, providing
relevant examples, and drawing insightful conclusions are essential elements of crafting a
compelling essay on this topic.
Furthermore, addressing the nuances of personal and professional development necessitates a
nuanced understanding of various theoretical frameworks, psychological concepts, and
management principles. Incorporating relevant theories and concepts adds depth to the
discussion, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of the subject matter.
In essence, writing an essay on personal and professional development entails a multifaceted
approach, blending personal anecdotes with professional insights while showcasing growth,
learning, and self-awareness. It's a challenging yet rewarding endeavor that demands
introspection, critical thinking, and effective communication skills.

Essay on The Horrors of Auschwitz
The words inscribed above the Auschwitz concentration camp read; Arbeit Macht
Frei, meaning, work brings freedom. These deceiving words gave unsuspecting
prisoners hope that they could get out of the most destructive concentration camp
during the entire Holocaust. This concentration camp would kill over one million
people. Auschwitz will be fully analyzed, starting with the early stages of Auschwitz,
then the Jews and the horrors of Auschwitz, and finally the final days of Auschwitz.
The events that took place at Auschwitz concentration campwere horrifying and led
to the death of millions. Auschwitz was founded as a German concentration camp
on April 27, 1940. The camp served as a Polish artillery base before the camp was

Birkenau was supposed to be able to hold over 125,000 prisoners, and was also the
site where most of the executions took place. Inmates were used for most of the
manual labor. Later on in that year the Soviet prisoners arrived as 3,000 were sent
to be executed, another 12,000 died from other causes, and only 1,000 remained and
were to do forced labor (Laqueur and Tydor 34,35).
The next stage of Auschwitz would be forever changed by the arrival of the Jews.
Hoss says in his memoir that he was called into Berlin in the mid 1941, and there he
was told that Hitler had decided to destroy the European Jews. Also, he was told that
Auschwitz, because of its central location, would play a major role in their
destruction (Laqueur and Tydor 35). In 1942, the first group of Jews arrived at
Auschwitz (Auschwitz Museum).
Back in 1941, concentration camps main method of mass killing was shooting.
Hoss wanted to find a way that was more efficient and less taxing on his workers
(Laqueur and Tydor 35,36). On a day when Hoss was absent, his deputy, Karl
Fritzch, poisoned a group of prisoners with hydrogen cyanide. After the success of
the first try, another gassing was done while Hoss was present. The gassing was
again successful (Laqueur and Tydor 36). Gassing became the standard death
method for most concentration camps because it was almost painless for the
prisoners and put less stress on the workers of the camp. In February 1942, the first
gassing of the
Essay On Joint Stock Company
The company form of business ownership has become very popular in modern
business on account of its several advantages.
Following are the advantages of Joint Stock Company
1. Large capital resources
A company can secure large capital compared to a sole trader or partnership. A joint
stock company has widespread appeal to the investors of all the types. Its capital is
divided into shares of small value so that the people with limited means can also buy
them. There is no limit on the number of shareholders in a public company. In
addition, a company can borrow from banks to a large extent due to its high credit
standing and also issue debentures to public
2. Limited Liability
The liability of members in a company form of organization is limited to the unpaid
amount on the face value of shares held
In company limited by shares, the liability of members is limited to the unpaid
value of the shares. For example, if the face value of a share in a company is Rs. 100
and a member has already paid Rs. 70per share, he can be called upon to pay not
more than Rs. 30 per share during the lifetime of the company.
The limited liability encourages many persons to invest in shares of joint stock
companies. In the case of a company limited by guarantee, his liability is restricted to
the amount that he has guaranteed to contribute in the event of winding up of the
company.
3. Perpetual succession
When a company is incorporated, it becomes a separate legal entity. A company has

Humbert s Obsession Of Dolores Haze
Humbert Humbert s Obsession of Dolores Haze Lolita is one of the Vladimir
Nabokov s most well known novels. Nabokov is a Russian American author, whose

He serves as a kind of mirror image of Humbert, reflecting similar traits and thoughts
but embodying a darker side of those characteristics that Humbert stridently
disavows. Quilty and Humbert both adore nymphets, but they act on their adoration
in very different ways. While Humbert slavishly worships and idealizes Lolita,
Quilty takes her for granted and wishes to denigrate her through pornography.
Humbert paints himself as a man in love, while Quilty is, in many ways, a more
typical pedophile. Both Quilty and Humbert are men of letters, well read and very
persuasive, but Quilty has a much more successful
Realism In International Relations
Realism is not a new concept. Classical Realism has its roots firmly placed in
ancient Greece at the time of Thucydides where in the History of the
Poloponneasean War he wrote The strong do what they have the power to do, the
weak accept what they have to accept (Thucydides 1972: 402).
Thucydides is thought to explain the role of power within politics at this early stage
(Donelly, 2000) through to the time of Machiavelli in the 16th Century. Stanley
Hoffman is quoted as saying that the theory is ...probably the most distinguished
school of thought in the history of international relations (Hoffman, 1988 p.6). Whilst
Realism, as a concept, has helped to define International Relations by fostering the
notion that power is the only political gain to be wanted, Robert Gilpin sees it as a
... philosophical disposition and set of assumptions about the world rather than as
in any strict sense a scientific theory (Gilpin, 1984 p. 290). Realists are unified in
believing that Power and survival is fundamentally the most desired thing between
the universal actors: The States. The theory is built on a basis of pessimism and
that that politics is a tussle for both power and survival and labels politics on an
international scale as a series of recurrent conflicts among states with very little
prospect for change (Jackson and Sorensen, 2007). Whilst there are similarities which
bind the different veins of realism together, this essay will look at those different
veins within the
Midsummer Night s Dream Act 2
Act 2 In act 2 Oberon asks Titania to give the little Indian boy. But Titania says that
she will instead hold the boy near to her. Oberon responds by, saying that they will
be at odds until she gives him the boy.Now the dispute between Oberon and Titania
in the fairy realm is used to demonstrate that the subject of loveis currently being out
of balance.
Act 3 The fairy s magic is one of the central elements of the dreamlike atmosphere of
A Midsummer Night s Dream, and it is fundamental to the plot s progression. It
throws love increasingly out of balance and brings the farce into its most frenzied
state. With the youths love tangle already getting affected by the potion, Shakespeare
creates additional havoc by generating a romance across groups, as Titania falling in
love with the donkey headed Bottom. Obviously, the delicate fairy queen is
dramatically unsuited to the clumsy, monstrous craftsman.
Act 4 The transition from reality into a dream appears a second time in Act Four.

By focusing so much attention on this play within the play, Shakespeare has
plentiful time to reflect on art and culture as a whole.During the fifth act, he has the
time to reflect on his art and to ask the following questions: What is it that makes
great theater? Can anyone be an actor? What kind of person is an excellent audience
member? Can unschooled citizens appreciate art? The answers to these questions can
alter, but, for the most part, the performance of Pyramus and Thisbe operates as a
complete satire of bad theater and reminds us that being a stage actor is a craft that
unmistakably requires
The Day I Will Start The Dream
I stumbled through the house, trying to get away, my red hair replaced with fire, but
not
burning me, igniting the house around me. I woke up gasping for air, wondering
why I ve been
having the same recurring nightmare ever since my parents died in a fire when I was
six. It s
been haunting me for eight years. I pushed the dream aside trying to be optimistic;
because today
was the day I could leave this house. Don t get me wrong, living in a huge mansion
with a pool
and a chef is a dream, but I just want to be free to leave. After my parents died, my
cousins took
me to live here and I ve been training for this day ever since. Today is the day I will

A fireman had to haul me off the roof and I blacked out as soon as I was
laid in the hospital bed, and that exact moment was when the nightmares started.
I blinked away my dizziness and slowly sat up, realizing I was sprawled across
the floor, a normal result of my flashbacks. I hauled myself up and went downstairs
to get some
breakfast before my cousins, Scarlett, Alex, and Gemma realized I had another
flashback. They
definitely wouldn t let me go to find the killers if they knew I kept having flashbacks.
Once I got
to the kitchen, I realized our chef wasn t awake to make breakfast because it was 4 o
clock in the
morning. I decided to waste a few hours training, so I would be hungry for breakfast.
I started
with a few laps in the pool, and then climbed onto the rafters and jumped into the
pool, just in
case, because you never know if you re going to fall from the sky into water; better to
be
prepared than dead. I think I woke up Scarlett because when I swam up, I saw her
standing in the
doorway. She executed a perfect dive into the water and we swam laps together. She
would be
coming with me on the hunt for the killers. Her mom died of cancer and her dad
died of
pneumonia when she was an infant, so she lived with my parents and me for most of
her life.

Ethnicity In Nigeria
Nigeria is part of the 16 countries in West Africa. Nigeria has different groups of
ethnicity and has a population of about 186 million. Nigeria has over 250 ethnic
groups. The ethnic groups have different belief and practices (VANGUARD,2017).
The country is well known for its oil natural resources which provides most of their
gross domestic product. The largest groups are the Hausa in the north, the Yoruba in
the southwest and the Igbo (or Ibo) in the southeast, who account for around a fifth of
the population each. The languages of these three groups can therefore be used in
government. Other large groups include the Ijaw in the east and the Fulani in the
north. Nigeriais divided into 36 states. In this essay I will discuss the cultural in the
northern states, southern states and other cultural practices strongly encourage.
In the 13 northern states, the vast majority of people are Muslim. The Hausa have
been Muslims for almost a thousand years, having been converted to Islam by
Arab traders and merchants from the 10th century. Sharia law was introduced into
the northern Nigerian states from 2000. This is a code for how Muslims should
lead their lives. It is thought to have been drawn up by Muslim scholars in the early
centuries of Islam, with parts of it taken directly from the Koran. As in other
countries, northern Nigeria uses the code as a basis for its criminal law. However,
some of the harsher penalties, such as death by stoning for adultery, have never been

The Iso Conceptual Framework For Financial Reporting
The IASB Conceptual framework for Financial Reporting (the Conceptual Framework
) with its accounting standards becomes important for the reason that the business is
more complex, and there are various definitions of accounting information in different
countries. In this essay, for the first part, it would be discussed whether the
conceptual framework is beneficial or not to the development of International
accounting standards with several examples. For the second part, it would be also
examined that IASB framework with its accounting standards is developed from
country to country, and there are differences which have also been caused by a
variety of economic, cultural as well as linguistic circumstances. The IASC Board
approved the IASB (International Accounting Standards Board) Framework ( in April
1989) which was a successor of the IASC Board, and it accepted its Framework in
April 2001 (Wells, 2011). International standards are developed by IASB which are
named International Financial Reporting Standards(IFRS). Although IASB took the
place of IASC with its accounting standards, its IAS (International Accounting
Standards) was enforced by IASB and available into practice until now. The
conceptual framework is helpful when it is used to develop the setting of
International accounting standards. First of all, the definition of conceptual
framework provided by Melville (2014, p. 17)[ Melville, A. (2014). International

How should new technologies be regulated? Can they be regulated?
In order to regulate new technologies, first American will have quit confiding in the
Internet, and in this way the need to begin address issues of significance manual like
paying a bill at the organization office as opposed to utilizing the web and giving out

impediments to the utilization of the Internet and e trade. Web administration is a
noteworthy point in its own particular right.
Keeping in mind the end goal to include all partners and guarantee complete
cybersecurity insurances, national governments are regularly in the best position to
actualize new security strategies. These approaches ought to touch on a wide range of
regions including highlighting the significance of ICTs to the country; recognizing
and breaking down the dangers from digital wrongdoing and assaults; building up
targets, for example, anticipation, identification and arraignment of digital violations;
and setting an arrangement to accomplish these destinations that subtle elements the
partners parts and obligations regarding information security and cybersecurity. I
believed the new technology can be regulated, with intelligence and cybersecurity it
can be done.

Importing a car from the UK to Australia is a complex process. With research and an
expert importer you can complete the process successfully.
Body:
There are many steps involved to importing a car from the United Kingdom to
Australia. With the right information and an expert import team, you can make the
process less complicated.
Things to Know Beforehand
The Australian government places stringent restrictions on the vehicles they allow on
their public roads. These restrictions vary based on the car type. Before applying for
an import permit in person, visit the Department of Infrastructure and Regional
Development website to find out precisely what they require from you.

Before you apply, understand that traditional financiers are hesitant to provide import
loans. Specialty import financiers such as Harley Finance can provide private car
finance for import vehicles.
Short term Imports
A VIA is not required for short term imports; however you are not allowed to sell the
vehicle when importing under these terms. A roundtrip import is especially complex.
For this kind of import, make sure you hire an experienced importer such as Dazmac
a maritime and automotive import specialist to ensure the best possible outcome.
Quarantine Inspection
Before your vehicle leaves the United Kingdom, make sure to have it thoroughly
cleaned. The Australian Department for Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (DAFF)
will inspect the car and charge extensive cleaning fees if the vehicle carries foreign
debris.
Required Documentation
There are three importation items you must provide for your freight forwarder. They
are a copy:
of your V5 license from the United Kingdom.

Conflict Between Sudan And South Sudan
CS 1000 Sudan Sudan, like many countries, has a complicated history ridden with
war and turmoil. It is positioned in northeastern Africa, and neighbored by Egypt,
Ethiopia, and Chad. It was once the largest state in Africa, consisting of a
population of approximately of 37 million, according to the World Bank estimate,
before it was split into Sudan and South Sudan in July 2011 . The southern region
of Sudan was granted autonomy in terms of a Peace Agreement. Before this
agreement, the country had previously been through two civil wars primarily due
to conflict between the Sudanese government and southern rebels . Southern
rebels were displeased with their mistreatment by the government s hand and took
a stand. These constant conflicts have negatively affected and displaced many of
the citizens of Sudan. A main factor in one of the most recent conflicts is Crude
Petroleum. Petroleum is a natural resource and contributed greatly to Sudan s
GDP. However, the source of this oil was mainly found in South Sudan. Sudan
economically suffered greatly due to the loss of three quarters of its oil power. It
decreased by 20.3% from nine billion dollars in 2009, to three billion 2014 . But,
despite this large decrease, 64% of Sudan s exports in 2014 consisted of Crude
Petroleum. But, this money did not go into the pockets of the people. Instead, an
estimated sum of nine billion dollars, went into the pockets of the man who was
meant to lead their country to peace and greatness, Omar
Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual And Transgender Individuals Essay
Lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender individuals, also known as LGBT population
have experienced a great deal of oppression worldwide. These particular individuals
undergo discrimination from society, whether for reasons of ignorance, fear or
intolerance, this population faces challenges in multiple areas of social justice sexual.
Although the LGBTculture has made some strides in the areas of state and federal
legislation, there is still a wide range of criminalization that takes place within our
culture. Understanding the LGBT community and the history of their oppression may
be the first step in becoming culturally competent. For many years this culture was
denied their basic constitutional rights that were afforded to their equal heterosexual
peers. Basic rights such as, adoption and marriage were uncommon to this culture
until the 20th century.
Personal Views
There are several religions which condemns the notion of homosexuality. Growing up
in a Christian household I was taught that being homosexual is a sin in the sight of
God. For example, in Jamaica my family practiced Pentecostal religion where they
are very passionate about their traditions. There were unspoken beliefs that
homosexuals were to be punished for their sexual practices. This belief followed me
to the United States. Even though we went to a Baptist Church, the teachings were
the same. I held on to this religious belief for many years and lived my life in a way
that was conducive to my religion.

Why A Company Can Go Through Social Media
Many reasons why a company can go through so many changes throughout the years
are due to the change of the market. With industries such as publishing, the changes
can become endless. Publishers try and find ways to get their ideas out into such a
market for consumers to enjoy. Publishing companies started out small however as
time continued so did the demand in products. The demand grew so much that the
markets became so big so fast. Pushing for an idea that marketingtoday is more

Using your brain is something we all do day in and day out. This is a normal way
of thinking about how we see the world. We tend to use what we see around us as
reminders of what we want, or need to do. When publishers go about publishing a
new book or new product they try and find someone who can use the information
they are providing. Whether it is a true story or something strictly made up. We as
humans have tendencies to use what we read and hear to promote some sort of
desire we want. We can have many different ways of explaining what we see and
what we gain. One of the best examples is from a Derren Browns subliminal
advertising . This is an actual video that shows two well known advertisers from the
from MBA firm being had by what they already knew. It explains how what we as
humans see just driving down the street can have the biggest impact on what we
draw. The two men were asked to draw an idea for a new poster for something they
had never heard of. However when they were done the man showed them what he
thought they would of drawn and it was almost identical. You ask why is this? Well

The Popularity Of Cloud Computing
ABSTRACT Popularity of cloud computing has made many of our lives easier. As
the popularity of this technology is growing so are the demands from the consumers
of the technology. This has lead to inter cloud operations. Interoperability of clouds

There are many industry projects on the standardization of cloud interoperability
but none of them have become a widely accepted standard. The next generation
service overlay network (NGSON) has its functional architecture defined in IEEE
P1903 standard. This architecture provides a framework and essential functions to
support IP based service overlay networks. The functional entities (FEs) of
NGSON can support dynamic and static service types, which may be in different
domains. Also, the FEs support dynamic routing, delivery of services and content
[2]. Thus, NGSON can support cloud wherein NGSON provides uniform routing,
delivery and composition for clouds that would be regarded as services.
Furthermore, the authentication functionality of NGSON could be used for secure
interoperation of multiple clouds. This report makes an effort to describe how
NGSON can be used for inter cloud operations with due importance given to

George S. Patton Jr, Visionary Leadership
George S. Patton Jr, Visionary, Not Ethical Leadership General Patton once said
Moral courage is the most valuable and usually the most absent characteristic in men
(A quote by George S. Patton Jr, n.d.) He did not know that would describe both his
positive example of visionary leadership and his inability to practice ethical leadership
all at the same time. His performance during World War II offers great examples of
his visionary leadership by utilizing inspirational motivation, idealized influence,
and overall embodying transformational leadership. Despite his influence, he
illustrated a lack of ethical leadership by falling into the ethical dilemma of
competing values and not using the 5 Step Ethical Decision Making Process.
General Patton was a visionary leader that showed a lack of ethical leadership,
which motivates me into being a better leader in the Wing Inspector Generals (IG)
office. To do so, a better understanding of his visionary leadership is required.
Visionary Leadership General Patton s actions during World War II led using his
ability to be a visionary leader through transformational leadership tactics that were
years ahead of current tactics. According to Axelrod (2006), he was given the
nickname Old Blood and Guts for telling those under his command that they will be
up to their necks in blood and guts (Axelrod, 2006, p. 2). Patton s intention for such
colorful inspiration was to push his troops to strive for the extraordinary. General

Why I Chose Osteopathic Medicine As Your Professional...
1.Describe the top three reasons you have chosen osteopathic medicine as your
professional choice in becoming a physician (Please use your own description and
not one that widely describes the profession).
The following words by Aristotle, Whole is greater than the sum of its parts , resonate
deeply with my personality. As a human and future physician, I believe one must learn
to look at the whole picture of any situation instead of dwelling on certain parts.
Since the age of seven, I have been attracted to the field of osteopathy. I grew up in
a small town, where there were not a lot of doctors in the area. Whenever I went to
visit a doctor there was at least one to two hour wait. While waiting for the doctor,
I noticed how people s facial expression and muscle would slightly relax after
visiting the doctor s office, even if it was for less than five minutes. Even though
not all patients received good news, they seemed a bit relaxed after knowing what
their next step of treatment will be. As long as I can remember I wanted to be the
reason behind someone s relaxed face or smile by providing everything possible
within my power.
I want to become an osteopathic physician, because osteopathic doctors take the
additional strides toward providing their patients with holistic care. Unlike other
health care professionals osteopathic doctors try to obtain the most detailed history,
starting from the patient s birth, sometimes even before that. During the history taking

A franchise is a right granted to an individual or group to market a company s
goods or services within a certain territory or location. Some examples of today s
popular franchises are McDonald s, Subway, Domino s Pizza, and the UPS Store.
There are many different types of franchises. Many people associate only fast food
businesses with franchising. In fact, there are over 120 different types of franchise
businesses available today, including automotive, cleaning maintenance, health
fitness, financial services, and pet related franchises. The franchisee must follow
certain rules and guidelines already established by the franchisor, and in most cases
the franchisee must pay an ongoing franchise royalty fee, as well as an up front, one
time franchise fee to the franchisor. Franchising has become one of the most popular
ways of doing business in today s marketplace. In most states you cannot drive three
blocks without seeing a nationally recognized franchise company.
PART A
TYPE OF FRANCHISING (P C 1.1)
(1)SINGLE PRODUCT SERVICE: Single unit franchising is the most likely place a
brand new entrepreneur would begin. In this type of franchise, the franchisee would
only be responsible for running one unit. However he or she would be extremely
involved with all of the daily operations of the business. Example: Toyota.
(2)MANUFACTURING AND WHOLESALE: In this type of franchising franchisor
usually provides extensive training and support to the suppliers
The Amendment Rights Must Be The Most Controversial...
Second Amendment rights must be the most controversial section of the
Constitution, it most definitely has to be the most challenged. Lawsuits have been
brought up against the Second Amendment for many years, challenging whether or
not it should still be a part of the Constitution, and the meaning behind the verbiage
used. The anti gun crowd has attempted multiple times to prove the Second
Amendment should apply only to a militia and that the average citizen has no right to
own a firearm. The National Rifle Association (NRA) is the largest lobbyist group
for pro gun rights and one of the most powerful interest groups in politics today. They
have successfully supported the defense of the peoples right to own firearms for
many years. After many years of failing to accomplish their agenda, the anti gun
crowd has a new tactic: instead of facing the multimillion members of the NRA
(Statistic Brain Research Institute, 2014) they are now going after the gun
manufacturers and dealers. They cannot stop the sale of guns therefore they want to
eliminate the source. This paper will identify the historical foundation of the Second
Amendment, describe the National Rifle Association s involvement, and site the legal
precedence and challenges.
History of the Second Amendment.
In the beginning our forefathers knew that without arms there could be no long
lasting liberty or freedom. The English republican views on the relationship between
arms and democracy profoundly influenced the

Strategic Change
Unit 3 1. Background to organisational strategic change.
Marks and Spencer plc is a UK based company. Many people regard the business as
a national institution. It is lovingly called M amp;S and Marks and Sparks . M
amp;S is known as a best retailer. There are over 370 Marks amp; Spencer stores
throughout the UK that sell clothing, food and household goods. The core of its
retailing business is clothing, particularly women s. Over 80% of Marks amp;

M amp;S clothing could also be sold through Sainsbury s stores, providing a
powerful boost to the supermarket s non food business. Last night one City analyst
said there was a lot of logic surrounding the deal and suggested a move could come
soon.
He said: M amp;S have a fantastic property portfolio, there would be huge synergies
between the two companies. M amp;S is strong in non food, Sainsbury is strong in
food and Sainsbury is desperately trying to get into non food so a deal is a possibility.
It would also help to find a successor to Sir Stuart Rose.
Despite Rose persuading the City that the company s profits are going to take a hit
while the recession lasts, he has enraged some shareholders by breaching the City s
best practice standards with his twin roles of chairman and chief executive.
City investors and local authority pension funds that hold shares in M amp;S have
demanded that the company appoint an independent chairman or a new chief
executive by next summer, and it is now widely expected that Rose will step down
long before the mid 2011 deadline set last year. A potential tie up between the two
has been rumbling ever since Rose let slip at a retail conference in 2007 that his
shareholders would consider him an idiot if he did not think about mounting a
takeover, before adding: Watch this space.
But since then, the fortunes of the two have changed. While M amp;S is struggling

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy Case Study
Therapy for Lost Love: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
Cognitive and behavioral therapies are both forms of psychotherapy (a psychological
approach to treatment) and are based on scientific principles that help people change
the way they think, feel and behave. They are problem focused and practical. There
are 4 elements within CBT: Cognitions (thoughts, reasoning, memory, imagination),
Behavior, Emotions (feelings), and Physical Self (sensations), with all of these set
within the context of a social and physical environment CBT cannot ignore any one
of these. The theory I am focusing the most on in Cognitive Behavioral therapies is
the cognitive aspect of the theory.

Bicycle Thief Essay
The Bicycle Thief The Bicycle Thief is probably the best known and most highly
praised of all the Italian Neorealist films of its era. The films of the Neorealist
movement were characterized by several primary ideas. Instead of featuring
stories focusing on glitz and glamour, Neorealist films focused on the poor and the
working class. Instead of building and fabricating complex sets to film on, they did
their filming on location. And instead of trying to get the most well known, highly
paid celebrity actors, they frequently used people that weren t even professional
actors and had no training for their starring roles. This all helped lend a sense of
realism and weight to the stories. The Bicycle Thief takes place in Rome during a...

everything he can think of to get any leads on the thief or the location of his bike,

How Did Sneferu Build The Pyramids Of Giza Essay
The Great Pyramids of Giza Have you ever heard someone call the Great Pyramids
of Giza the last of the seven wonders? Well the reason they say this is because it s
the only one left standing and it is the oldest of the wonders (Mark). These ancient
pyramids are great for studying how people lived and worked in Egypt thousands
of years ago. This paper will discuss the history of the pyramids, the Pharaohs at the
times of construction, and how they were built. The Pyramids of Giza were built
on the Giza Plateau by three different Pharaohs. Before the Giza pyramids were
ever thought of the first pyramid to be built in Egypt was constructed by a king
known as Sneferu, this took place during the old kingdom; his reign was from 2613
BC 2589 BC(History). According to Professor Joshua J. Mark, Sneferu had made a
few pyramids before his best one. However, all his previous ones failed due to many
complications with the structure, such as the angle being wrong. Sneferu took what
he had learned from his previous mistakes and constructed a decent pyramid... Show

But I personally believe that, based on the size of the settlement and the whole
work of an area that we found, I believe that permanent and temporary workmen
who worked at building the Pyramid were 36,000 (Who). There was another theory
that was mentioned in a few articles that were interesting, because it opposed the
theory that stated slaves were doing all of the work. This theory was that there were
no slaves doing all the hard work, but the farmers did most of the hard work when it
came to building the pyramids. This was due to the annual flood of the Nile
(Kinnaer). When the Nile would flood, then the Pharaoh would provide work for the
farmers to build his monuments
Pineapple Express Character Analysis
Similarities with fictional characters Have you ever thought of which fictional
characters you relate too? I am a person who is funny, intelligent and lazy. I chose 3
fictional character that I relate to the most. The three fictional characters that most
represent my personality are Saul Silver from Pineapple Express for his funny
personality, Chris Gardner from the Pursuit of Happiness for being intelligent and his
willingness to strive for success, and Patrick from Spongebob Squarepantsfor his
laziness, always being late to things he had to do.
Saul Silver from the movie Pineapple Express has a silly personality, which I
believe is a characteristic that I posses as well. A scene from the movie which Saul
shows that character trait is when his friend Dale Denton gets arrested for selling
marijuana to kids and Saul had gone off to buy burritos for them to eat. Next he
came back and had seen what happened, as the cop was driving away with his
friend in the back seat he decided to get hit by the cop car so the officer could get
out of the vehicle. Then after that occurred Saul crawled around the car and hopped
in the front seat and drove away with his friend. When Saul was struck by the car he
spilled a red smoothie all over the front windshield. On that occasion he put his foot
through the windshield to create an opening so he can see, despite that wasn t the
case his foot ended up getting stuck. This character trait hurts the character because it
gets him in sticky
Health Advocacy Campaign Part 2
Developing a health advocacy campaign part 2
Developing a health advocacy campaign entails advocating for policies and laws to
protect a population. The process of creating policies and laws can involve many
steps. Milstead (2013) explains four major stages of policymaking, agenda setting,
legislation and regulation, implementation, and evaluation. Agenda setting is the
stage at which a problem is identified and brought to the attention of government
officials; legislation and regulation is the point at which government officials respond
to the problem; implementation is the process of setting policies in motion and
enforcing them; and evaluation is the reassessment of how well the policy is working
to solve the problem (Milstead, 2013).
The purpose of this paper is to further develop the health advocacy campaign for
protecting diabetics in the workforce and in the school setting. The policy is in the
agenda setting stage, so I will explore ways in which the problem can be brought to
the attention to government officials.

it is to ensure that diabetics are safe and receive consistent diabetes management

becoming more prevalent, so having other personnel who can be trained to deliver

Harm Reduction Essay examples
Harm reduction is based on the premise that people are responsible for their
behaviour, that they maker personal choices that affect their health and well being,
and that they can make safer and better decisions if given useful and honest
information (Mathre, 2002, p. 106). Harm reduction recognizes people s unhealthy
choices while also attempting to reduce the harmful effects that come from these
unhealthy behaviours (Marlatt, 1998 as cited in Brown, Luna, Ramirez, Vail, and
Williams, 2005). Using a harm reductionapproach has a positive effect on drugusers,
as it helps to reduce the negative consequences that come from using drugs. Although

indicated that any reduction of harm is a step in the right direction, and the
amount of success is measured by the client s quality of life and well being (as

they must lie about their unhealthy lifestyles, which prevents the clients from

Key Issues When Sharing Information
I feel that the first key issue which is sharing of information this is a key issue
because the practitioners need to know what information is confidential and what isn
t and if the practitioner doesn t know what information is and isn t confidential then
this can become a problem and can cause the information not being shared. On the
other hand the practitioners should know about confidentiality and what sort of
information should be kept confidential. As part of training practitioners are trained
for all sorts of situations including when to keep confidentiality. If not all of the
practitioners get along then this can also cause some issues with passing on

For practitioners to carry out effective practice the practitioners need to have skills
which can make them an effective practitioner to be able to cope with transitions and
help the practitioners to deal with transitions effectively. The practitioners should be
able to have good communication skills to communicate with the practitioners,
parents, children and other professionals effectively to work in partnership with
everyone and this helps practitioners to share information about the child s progress
and behaviour with the parents, other practitioners in the setting and other
professionals this helps to set targets for the child to reach in the setting. This also
helps the parents to give more support in areas the child is struggling in at home. The
practitioners should be able to recognise the child s changes in behaviour and moods
so that the practitioners can tell the parents and the parents can explain to the
practitioners the reason why the child is changed in behaviour/mood if the reason is
known by the parents. The practitioners should have knowledge and understanding in
transitions so that they can support the child and give the best support suitable for the
child s situation. This can also help practitioners to be empathetic and sympathetic
towards the child and some practitioners may have experience of bereavements so
this helps the practitioners support the child even further. From my experience in my
last placement I have dealt with a bereaved child and I
Katharine Cousins Histoire Naturelle In Paris Summary
Katharine Cousins presentation on the MusГ©um National d Histoire Naturelle in
Paris (MNHN) explored the ideas surrounding collecting and collections addressed in
the Sharon Macdonald reading Collecting Practices , focusing particularly on the
notion of collections as representations of a national identity. Katharine began her
presentation by defining what constitutes a collection. Here, she rightly emphasised
the important role selection plays in collecting activities, while also acknowledging
that collections are fundamentally the result of personal pursuits by collectors. This
said, the act of collecting is perhaps best differentiated from other types of
accumulation activities (e.g. hoarding), by the potential it offers in terms of order,
system and completion.
Next, Katharine provided a brief background to the MNHN, noting the circumstances
of its establishment, the scope of its collection, its various departments and present
day mission. Given that Macdonald s publication includes a schematic account of the
history of collecting, it may have been useful to integrate this history into the
discussion of this case study.

The Declaration of the Rights of Man and of the Citizen, a significant document
produced in 1789, expresses the underlying principles of this movement, stating that
all men are born and remain free and equal in rights. Accompanying these newfound
views on civic equality, came the notion that collections, which had long been private,
exclusive and devoted to displaying the taste and wealth of their owners , belonged
not only to the elite, but to entire nations. Such beliefs motivated the development of
the public museum and ultimately allowed the royal collections of the House of

Governor Bentley is committed to removing racist language that addresses the
separation of black and white children in the education system in Alabama s 1901

as a whole (Reutter). In the article, Governor s Office of Minority Affairs

The implementation of the Prison Reform Bill Act No. 2015 185, that was passed in
early 2015, was established to help prevent overcrowding in prisons and improve the
overall well being of the facilities used for convicted people as well as the staff. This
also was intended to imprison less nonviolent offenders and help reduce the amount
of criminal behavior they can potentially be engaged in after their conviction
(Funderburk). Criminal Justice Oversight and Implementation Council, established in
2014, is imperative to reform the criminal justice system in Alabama. The

The first main point in The Hippie Movement is that all they wanted to do was live
in their own society. They established a society called the Utopian society where
they loved freely, had social protests and the use of psychedelic drugs

Our world has come to a very violent place. In one year, more that 100,000 people
have died because of violence( There Are Too Many .) Is this okay that all these
people are dying each year with nobody doing anything about it? The Hippies are
trying to stop all these innocent people dying because they don t believe in
violence. In just one day on average 282 people are being killed by either guns or
other violence( There Are Too Many .) The only downfalls for The Hippie Movement
is the government issue. Most of the United States residents have to pay taxes, but
since the Hippies don t want to be any part of the government. That means no taxes
for the hippies and that can cause a problem. It s not fair that just one group doesn t
have to pay taxes just because they don t want to be a part of the government that
just about every American in the United States is in. Another problem is the law.
The Hippies would mean they wouldn t have to follow the rules and I believe that
everyone should have to follow them for safety

The Effects Of Coal Mining On The Health Of The Body
Coal mining has several negative effects on the health of the body that often times go
unrecognized or just simply ignored. Many people have died from mining for various
reasons such as the collapse of the mines as well as respiratory diseases caused by
mining. Governments across the globe continue to implement regulations for the
miners and populations surrounding the mines, but they have failed to eliminate
health risks related to mining, which is nearly impossible. Mining permits used to be
easy to obtain but under the Obama administration, the United States Environmental
Protection Agency began conducting more reviews and now they have issued
comprehensive guidance which was designed to strengthen requirements regarding
mountain top removal (MTR) and other surface mining products (Holzman 2011).
The more an organism is exposed to coalmining, the more health problems they will
face. Simply being in the mines for certain duration of time can lead to several
diseases such as dust disease otherwise known as Pneumoconiosis. Miner s lung is
a very large problem that is evident in British coal mines. Coal mining areas tend to
be more at risk of a socioeconomic disadvantage, higher risk of health problems,
and deconstruction of the environment in comparison to non coal mining areas
(Mclour 2008). In Mclour s study of miners lung , the quality of life is briefly
covered and discussed. Due to the lack of studies on injuries and illnesses in the

The Culture Of Iran Is A Major Element Of Cultural
Competence
Cultural awareness is a major element of cultural competence as defined by the
National Center for Cultural Competence (NCCC). It is the first and foundational
element because without it, it is virtually impossible to acquire the attitudes, skills,
and knowledge that are essential to cultural competence (Goode). The focus of the
paper will be to discuss the culture of Iran. Iran is located within the Middle East
centered just between the Caspian Sea and Persian Gulf. Even though Iran is not
one of the largest countries, it is roughly smaller than Alaska in size. Iran has a long
history of conflict dating all the way to the time of the Romans. A multitude of
leaders dating back before the Roman era and earlier have taken the responsibility of
the task of leading Iran. Throughout the years, Iran was involved in many conflicts
while still today holding its own against other countries in the world. Iran is located
within the Middle East with the bordering countries of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Iraq,
Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Turkey. As early as the period of the Romans, Iran had
many types of leaders, conflicts and enemies in the world. Their government structure
is similar to most countries such as the United States and Britain. The only difference
they have one person that has the power over almost everything, which is the
Supreme Leader. Their untrained military, imported and outdated weapons, and a
small military force compared to most of the larger countries of
Amazing Grace by Jonathan Kozol
At first glance and after reading through Amazing Grace, it seems that Jonathan
Kozol is going to take us on a journey through the lives of the underprivileged, but
similar to the ones you read about, or hear in the news. However, this is not the
case; the real underlying theme seems to be how the life and society they live in is
very alike to a life in a prison, not because it talks explicitly about prison conditions
in this area, but also because their lives are portrayed as being a prison. Kozol uses
the views of children and adults throughout this book to emphasize this theme
through their living conditions and personal lives, background and struggles.
Kozol writes about the trials and tribulations of everyday normal life for the people
who live here. Normal for them, however, is quite different than it is for most of
us. Living with drug dealers, pollution, poor hospital care and an awful education
system, not to mention the social system of the city, is the normal for them. In his
interviews, even with the children of this overlooked neighborhood, we find that
the children speak honestly and freely about their feelings. Forgotten, hidden,
abandoned, are just some of the words that come to mind. One boy named Malcolm

One O Clock Jump Poem Essay
While One O Clock Jump has more similarities to swing it is still an example of
modernism. In Coleman Hawkins One O Clock Jump one can notice the more
similarities with swing, compared to Body and Soul, however, one can still hear a
more detailed portrayal. The song has more flow and more beats than swing usually
has. Thus, use of more beats is part of the new technique that Coleman Hawkinsused.
The use of the new techniques shows how one can see modernismin One O Clock
Jump. However, due to the similarities to swing one would not necessary have to see
this song of Hawkins as part of bebopor modernism.
Another song of Hawkins that not necessary has to be seen as modernism is Every
Man For Himself. In Every Man For Himself there is again a faster pace. While one
could still call it swing one could say how the faster pacing made it part of
modernism. Yet one can again argue how the similarities to swing, still made it
swing and a new term as bebop would not have been necessary. Would Body and
Soul not have been as different from swing as it was both One O Clock Jump and
Every Man For Himself would not necessary be part of bebop. So, both these songs

Visual Aspects of Mythology During The Greco-Roman
Era...
Visual Aspects of Mythology During The Greco Roman Era Ancient Greece was a
culture that took great pride in flawlessness, superiority and on the whole greatness.
The Greeks basically molded the imaginative world with their cleverness in art,
architecture, and astronomy for many cultures to come. Even though so much of the
Greeksculture has been shattered, much of it still remains within society today.
The Greeks were a culture that strived for excellence, and harmony. So many
aspects of contemporary day life have been in some way, influenced by the Greeks.
They were fascinated with the human form, which is revealed in most of their
artwork. Perhaps the most common Greco roman era can be seen from the
Hellenistic period. Art still served a religious function or to glorify athletes, but
sculpture and painting were also used to decorate the homes of the rich. There was
an interest in heroic portraits and in colossal groups, but also in humbler subjects.
The human being was portrayed in every stage and walk of life. There was even

Domestic Violence In Greenville County
Greenville County is growing faster than any other communities in South Carolina
and with over 22% of the population estimated to be over the age of 65 by 2017 and
nearly twice as many births as deaths in the county, Greenville County can expect to
encounter additional health challenges from its rapidly increasing and aging
population. Deaths from heart disease and cancer make nearly half of total deaths in
the county and affect men and women almost equally. From comparative data, it
appears that Greenville County is healthier on average than the state of South
Carolina or the nation as a whole, but the prevalence of obesity and the corresponding
health conditions indicate that there is room for a great deal of improvement in health.

In 2012, there were 3,024 domestic simple assaults reported, 846 domestic
aggravated assaults, 183 victims of domestic sexual violence, and 8 domestic
homicides in Greenville County alone (The Rule of Thumb: A Five Year Overview
of Domestic Violence in South Carolina, 2014). Domestic violence can happen to
anyone, regardless of gender, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, income, or other
factors, but most cases are never even reported. Domestic violence victims face high
rates of depression, sleep disturbances, anxiety, and emotional distress and costs more
than $37 billion a year in law enforcement, legal work, and medical and mental health
treatment. Greenville County currently has several organizations that are trying to
help combat these statistics. Safe Harbor provides free and confidential information
and help to victims of domestic violence. Their services include emergency shelter,
legal assistance, a 24 hour crisis line, support groups, and community education. The
organization, Women Reaching Out, also provides shelter for women in crisis, as
well as counseling, work/study programs, life skills classes, and job training to help
women become self sufficient. Compass of Carolina is a nonprofit counseling center
that provides family violence intervention, violence in schools prevention, mediation,

This report comprises the Emissions Inventory of Stationary Sources for the United
States Army Garrison Kwajalein Atoll (USAG KA). The report was prepared
according to Section 3 1.11.3 of the USAKA Environmental Standards (UES) to
update the inventory of stationary sources of air pollutants following issuance of a
DEP 13 002.0, Construction and Operation of Space Fence Radar System. As
appropriate for the additional new sources this update contains the appropriate
information as required by Section 3 1.11.3. This update also reflects reductions in

1.3Methods and Assumptions Emission rates were estimated using either an
emission factor or mass balance technique. Emission factors were primarily taken
from USEPA s Compilation of Air Pollutant Emission Factors (AP 42), Fifth Edition.
Actual annual emission rates in tons per year are calculated using the best available
information such as annual throughput or hours of operation, as appropriate for the
source. Annualized hourly emission rates in pounds per hour are generally calculated
by dividing the actual annual emission rates by the number of hours in one year
(8,760). This provides the average hourly emission rate during the entire year,
regardless of whether the source was in operation. In general, maximum hourly
emission rates are calculated as a function of predetermined peak operational
parameters, such as the maximum hourly charging rate and maximum hourly fuel
throughput for incinerators. For other sources, where maximum hourly operational
parameters are unknown, maximum hourly emission rates are generally calculated by
dividing the actual annual emission rates by the number of operating hours during
the calendar year. This provides the maximum emission rate for a one hour operating
period, though the rate is effectively averaged over the operational time frame.
Maximum allowable hourly and annual emissions are calculated by determining the
maximum emission rate of a pollutant that can occur at a source when operated at its
Gibbs Bridge Myths
Introduction:
Gibbs Bridge is nothing more than a small, slightly spooky bridge in the middle of
nowhere. Yet stories are spread stating that it is haunted. Stories about Gibbs
Bridge have been making their way around the city of Sylvania for years, being
passed down as a local legend of sorts. At first glance, this small bridge may seem
inconspicuous but with some digging, it is revealed that this bridge has many
stories attached to it. The bridge itself was built in 1923, and is located on Gibbs Road
in Sylvania, Ohio not too far from the Michigan border. A picture of where exactly
the bridge is located can be found in appendix A. Aside from the year it was built,
not much else is known about the bridge yet if the legends are consulted ... Show

According to the story, there was a nasty car accident that occurred on the bridge
during that time in which some local students were killed. Now it is said that those
who lost their lives in that horrific crash haunt the bridge, if you visit the bridge at
night the sounds of screeching tires, breaking glass, and oddly enough laughter
can be heard. Also, dark, shadowy figures are said to chase people off the bridge if
they walk across it. Another quite popular legend that is often told is called
Xanadu. This story claims that a young man was decapitated by two of his friends
who attempted to play a prank on him. The young man s friends strung fishing line
across the bridge and waited for the man on the motorcycle to cross. His body
ended up crossing the bridge, but his head did not. He was decapitated by the
fishing line and is now said to haunt the bridge. In keeping with the legend if the
participant goes to the bridge at night and flashes their headlights three times a
motorcycle headlight will appear out of nowhere as well as the sounds of a
motorcycle followed by a man screaming. Many other stories are told about the
bridge, including; a girl hanging herself due to an unrequited love, a young girl
getting hit by a car, an angry farmer chasing people off the bridge with his truck or
shooting at them, and like any good haunted location the bridge is a popular site

How Did Vladimir Lenin Contribute To The Rise Of
Communism...
The socialist ideology was adopted by a whole country in the 20th century, by Russia
that shortly after would unify with other countries to form USSR. Socialist regime
was established in Russia in 1917 after a revolution knocked down the tsarist
monarchy that was in force. After the end of the monarchy, the Bolsheviks, led by
Vladimir Lenin initiated the socialist government that defended ideals based on,
mainly, Marxist principals. Lenin s government faced a strong opposition from those
who supported the tsarist regime what resulted in a long civil war that left Russia
devastated. To rebuild it, the government had to abandon some socialist principles.
Through the New Economic Politic (NEP), the country became to use capitalistisc

Research Paper On William Mckinley
William Mckinley served 12 years as a House of Representatives from 1877 1891.
His term was interrupted by his lost of the 1882 election. Which he lost to
Democratic Periodic Thomas .B. Reed. (Discus.com, William Mckinley paragraph 5
Subtitle). The defeat in McKinley s district of Ohio in 1890 had been partly a result
of another Democratic gerrymander rather than a wholesale repudiation of the
candidate. His reputation still intact in Ohio, McKinley, with the backing of the
wealthy Cleveland industrialist Marcus A. Hanna, won the governorship in 1891 and
1893. In 1892, Hanna tried to engineer the nomination of McKinley for president, but
McKinley refused to encourage the movement because of his conviction that the
Republican Party should stand
Earnings Of JP Morgan Chase And Sagicor
Earnings
Evaluating earnings is very important as it gives an idea of the bank s ability to
maximize revenue and control expenses, and allows a bank to fund growth, cover
losses, maintain adequate capital levels and pay dividends. It also represents the
quality of a bank s profitability and its competence to upkeep the quality of the
banks and the quality and source of its earnings. The quality of earnings refers to if
earnings can and will continue to support the needs of the banks and if they are
coming from core earning sources or non recurring events and are they sustainable.
Earnings of JP Morgan Chase and Sagicor is done over a four year period, starting
in 2011 and ending in 2014, as this is needed to understand the trend of changes
amongst the two companies. Ratios used to analyse the two companies earnings are:

sustainable quality of earnings to which they are generated from recurring
It s A Minor Surgical Procedure Essay
I see. Well, I would feel more comfortable if we made that the first step. It s a minor
surgical procedure, and it really is the only, truly reliable way to confirm a
diagnosis of endometriosis. It could also tell us what stage of endometriosis that
you have. And with this procedure we will be able to examine your ovaries, uterus,
and fallopian tubes in a more thorough manner than an ultrasound would provide.
So, if you feel up to that, we could do that as soon as this Wednesday. That sounds
great; I d like to get started as soon as possible. That s fantastic! In that case, I will
locate Ashley and she will talk to you about what time to arrive along with pre
operation procedure. He presses one of the multiple call buttons on his phone and
muttered a few words. It was very nice meeting the both of you and I look forward
to working with the both of you to help you start a family. He smiles at each of us
in turn as the door opens and Ashley re enters the office. Dr. Griffin stands and
shakes our hands, still smiling. It was a good smile; I can tell that he means it. We
follow Ashley back down to the lobby as she gives Alex and I the information that
we need. I ll be anesthetized for the procedure, which will basically consist of a small
incision below my belly button where a laparoscope (a tube with a tiny camera on
the end) will be inserted to poke around all my reproductive organs. He will most
likely biopsy a small piece of your cervix, Ashley continues. You

These deceiving words gave unsuspecting prisoners hope that they could get out of the most destructive concentration camp during the entire Holocaust. This concentration camp would kill over one million people. Auschwitz will be fully analyzed, starting with the early stages of Auschwitz, then the Jews and the horrors of Auschwitz, and finally the final days of Auschwitz. The events that took place at Auschwitz concentration campwere horrifying and led to the death of millions. Auschwitz was founded as a German concentration camp on April 27, 1940. Birkenau was supposed to be able to hold over 125,000 prisoners, and was also the site where most of the executions took place. Inmates were used for most of the manual labor. Later on in that year the Soviet prisoners arrived as 3,000 were sent to be executed, another 12,000 died from other causes, and only 1,000 remained and were to do forced labor (Laqueur and Tydor 34,35). The next stage of Auschwitz would be forever changed by the arrival of the Jews. Hoss says in his memoir that he was called into Berlin in the mid 1941, and there he was told that Hitler had decided to destroy the European Jews. Also, he was told that Auschwitz, because of its central location, would play a major role in their destruction (Laqueur and Tydor 35). In 1942, the first group of Jews arrived at Auschwitz (Auschwitz Museum). Back in 1941, concentration camps main method of mass killing was shooting. Hoss wanted to find a way that was more efficient and less taxing on his workers (Laqueur and Tydor 35,36). On a day when Hoss was absent, his deputy, Karl Fritzch, poisoned a group of prisoners with hydrogen cyanide. After the success of the first try, another gassing was done while Hoss was present. The gassing was again successful (Laqueur and Tydor 36). Gassing became the standard death method for most concentration camps because it was almost painless for the prisoners and put less stress on the workers of the camp. In February 1942, the first gassing of the
  • 3. Essay On Joint Stock Company The company form of business ownership has become very popular in modern business on account of its several advantages. Following are the advantages of Joint Stock Company 1. Large capital resources A company can secure large capital compared to a sole trader or partnership. A joint stock company has widespread appeal to the investors of all the types. Its capital is divided into shares of small value so that the people with limited means can also buy them. There is no limit on the number of shareholders in a public company. In addition, a company can borrow from banks to a large extent due to its high credit standing and also issue debentures to public 2. Limited Liability The liability of members in a company form of organization is limited to the unpaid amount on the face value of shares held In company limited by shares, the liability of members is limited to the unpaid value of the shares. For example, if the face value of a share in a company is Rs. 100 and a member has already paid Rs. 70per share, he can be called upon to pay not more than Rs. 30 per share during the lifetime of the company. The limited liability encourages many persons to invest in shares of joint stock companies. In the case of a company limited by guarantee, his liability is restricted to the amount that he has guaranteed to contribute in the event of winding up of the company. 3. Perpetual succession When a company is incorporated, it becomes a separate legal entity. A company has perpetual

  • 5. Realism In International Relations Realism is not a new concept. Classical Realism has its roots firmly placed in ancient Greece at the time of Thucydides where in the History of the Poloponneasean War he wrote The strong do what they have the power to do, the weak accept what they have to accept (Thucydides 1972: 402). Thucydides is thought to explain the role of power within politics at this early stage (Donelly, 2000) through to the time of Machiavelli in the 16th Century. Stanley Hoffman is quoted as saying that the theory is ...probably the most distinguished school of thought in the history of international relations (Hoffman, 1988 p.6). Whilst Realism, as a concept, has helped to define International Relations by fostering the notion that power is the only political gain to be wanted, Robert Gilpin sees it as a ... philosophical disposition and set of assumptions about the world rather than as in any strict sense a scientific theory (Gilpin, 1984 p. 290). Realists are unified in believing that Power and survival is fundamentally the most desired thing between the universal actors: The States. The theory is built on a basis of pessimism and that that politics is a tussle for both power and survival and labels politics on an international scale as a series of recurrent conflicts among states with very little prospect for change (Jackson and Sorensen, 2007). Whilst there are similarities which bind the different veins of realism together, this essay will look at those different veins within the

Oberon responds by, saying that they will be at odds until she gives him the boy.Now the dispute between Oberon and Titania in the fairy realm is used to demonstrate that the subject of loveis currently being out of balance. Act 3 The fairy s magic is one of the central elements of the dreamlike atmosphere of A Midsummer Night s Dream, and it is fundamental to the plot s progression. It throws love increasingly out of balance and brings the farce into its most frenzied state. With the youths love tangle already getting affected by the potion, Shakespeare creates additional havoc by generating a romance across groups, as Titania falling in love with the donkey headed Bottom. Obviously, the delicate fairy queen is dramatically unsuited to the clumsy, monstrous craftsman. Act 4 The transition from reality into a dream appears a second time in Act Four. .When the act ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... By focusing so much attention on this play within the play, Shakespeare has plentiful time to reflect on art and culture as a whole.During the fifth act, he has the time to reflect on his art and to ask the following questions: What is it that makes great theater? Can anyone be an actor? What kind of person is an excellent audience member? Can unschooled citizens appreciate art? The answers to these questions can alter, but, for the most part, the performance of Pyramus and Thisbe operates as a complete satire of bad theater and reminds us that being a stage actor is a craft that unmistakably requires

It is positioned in northeastern Africa, and neighbored by Egypt, Ethiopia, and Chad. It was once the largest state in Africa, consisting of a population of approximately of 37 million, according to the World Bank estimate, before it was split into Sudan and South Sudan in July 2011 . The southern region of Sudan was granted autonomy in terms of a Peace Agreement. Before this agreement, the country had previously been through two civil wars primarily due to conflict between the Sudanese government and southern rebels . Southern rebels were displeased with their mistreatment by the government s hand and took a stand. These constant conflicts have negatively affected and displaced many of the citizens of Sudan. A main factor in one of the most recent conflicts is Crude Petroleum. Petroleum is a natural resource and contributed greatly to Sudan s GDP. However, the source of this oil was mainly found in South Sudan. Sudan economically suffered greatly due to the loss of three quarters of its oil power. It decreased by 20.3% from nine billion dollars in 2009, to three billion 2014 . But, despite this large decrease, 64% of Sudan s exports in 2014 consisted of Crude Petroleum. But, this money did not go into the pockets of the people. Instead, an estimated sum of nine billion dollars, went into the pockets of the man who was meant to lead their country to peace and greatness, Omar

Basic rights such as, adoption and marriage were uncommon to this culture until the 20th century. Personal Views There are several religions which condemns the notion of homosexuality. Growing up in a Christian household I was taught that being homosexual is a sin in the sight of God. For example, in Jamaica my family practiced Pentecostal religion where they are very passionate about their traditions. There were unspoken beliefs that homosexuals were to be punished for their sexual practices. This belief followed me to the United States. Even though we went to a Baptist Church, the teachings were the same. I held on to this religious belief for many years and lived my life in a way that was conducive to my religion.

General Patton was a visionary leader that showed a lack of ethical leadership, which motivates me into being a better leader in the Wing Inspector Generals (IG) office. To do so, a better understanding of his visionary leadership is required. Visionary Leadership General Patton s actions during World War II led using his ability to be a visionary leader through transformational leadership tactics that were years ahead of current tactics. According to Axelrod (2006), he was given the nickname Old Blood and Guts for telling those under his command that they will be up to their necks in blood and guts (Axelrod, 2006, p. 2). Patton s intention for such colorful inspiration was to push his troops to strive for the extraordinary. General

Why I Chose Osteopathic Medicine As Your Professional... 1.Describe the top three reasons you have chosen osteopathic medicine as your professional choice in becoming a physician (Please use your own description and not one that widely describes the profession). The following words by Aristotle, Whole is greater than the sum of its parts , resonate deeply with my personality. As a human and future physician, I believe one must learn to look at the whole picture of any situation instead of dwelling on certain parts. Since the age of seven, I have been attracted to the field of osteopathy. I grew up in a small town, where there were not a lot of doctors in the area. Whenever I went to visit a doctor there was at least one to two hour wait. While waiting for the doctor, I noticed how people s facial expression and muscle would slightly relax after visiting the doctor s office, even if it was for less than five minutes. Even though not all patients received good news, they seemed a bit relaxed after knowing what their next step of treatment will be. As long as I can remember I wanted to be the reason behind someone s relaxed face or smile by providing everything possible within my power. I want to become an osteopathic physician, because osteopathic doctors take the additional strides toward providing their patients with holistic care. Unlike other health care professionals osteopathic doctors try to obtain the most detailed history, starting from the patient s birth, sometimes even before that. During the history taking

Marketing Plan For A Franchise Company Essay INTRODUCTION A franchise is a right granted to an individual or group to market a company s goods or services within a certain territory or location. Some examples of today s popular franchises are McDonald s, Subway, Domino s Pizza, and the UPS Store. There are many different types of franchises. Many people associate only fast food businesses with franchising. In fact, there are over 120 different types of franchise businesses available today, including automotive, cleaning maintenance, health fitness, financial services, and pet related franchises. The franchisee must follow certain rules and guidelines already established by the franchisor, and in most cases the franchisee must pay an ongoing franchise royalty fee, as well as an up front, one time franchise fee to the franchisor. Franchising has become one of the most popular ways of doing business in today s marketplace. In most states you cannot drive three blocks without seeing a nationally recognized franchise company. Lawsuits have been brought up against the Second Amendment for many years, challenging whether or not it should still be a part of the Constitution, and the meaning behind the verbiage used. The anti gun crowd has attempted multiple times to prove the Second Amendment should apply only to a militia and that the average citizen has no right to own a firearm. The National Rifle Association (NRA) is the largest lobbyist group for pro gun rights and one of the most powerful interest groups in politics today. They have successfully supported the defense of the peoples right to own firearms for many years. After many years of failing to accomplish their agenda, the anti gun crowd has a new tactic: instead of facing the multimillion members of the NRA (Statistic Brain Research Institute, 2014) they are now going after the gun manufacturers and dealers. They cannot stop the sale of guns therefore they want to eliminate the source. This paper will identify the historical foundation of the Second Amendment, describe the National Rifle Association s involvement, and site the legal precedence and challenges. The films of the Neorealist movement were characterized by several primary ideas. Instead of building and fabricating complex sets to film on, they did their filming on location. Before the Giza pyramids were ever thought of the first pyramid to be built in Egypt was constructed by a king known as Sneferu, this took place during the old kingdom; his reign was from 2613 BC 2589 BC(History). According to Professor Joshua J. Mark, Sneferu had made a few pyramids before his best one. The process of creating policies and laws can involve many steps. Milstead (2013) explains four major stages of policymaking, agenda setting, legislation and regulation, implementation, and evaluation. Agenda setting is the stage at which a problem is identified and brought to the attention of government officials; legislation and regulation is the point at which government officials respond to the problem; implementation is the process of setting policies in motion and enforcing them; and evaluation is the reassessment of how well the policy is working to solve the problem (Milstead, 2013). Katharine began her presentation by defining what constitutes a collection. Here, she rightly emphasised the important role selection plays in collecting activities, while also acknowledging that collections are fundamentally the result of personal pursuits by collectors. This said, the act of collecting is perhaps best differentiated from other types of accumulation activities (e.g. hoarding), by the potential it offers in terms of order, system and completion. Next, Katharine provided a brief background to the MNHN, noting the circumstances of its establishment, the scope of its collection, its various departments and present day mission. Kozol uses the views of children and adults throughout this book to emphasize this theme through their living conditions and personal lives, background and struggles. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... 1.3Methods and Assumptions Emission rates were estimated using either an emission factor or mass balance technique. Emission factors were primarily taken from USEPA s Compilation of Air Pollutant Emission Factors (AP 42), Fifth Edition. Actual annual emission rates in tons per year are calculated using the best available information such as annual throughput or hours of operation, as appropriate for the source. Annualized hourly emission rates in pounds per hour are generally calculated by dividing the actual annual emission rates by the number of hours in one year (8,760). This provides the average hourly emission rate during the entire year, regardless of whether the source was in operation. In general, maximum hourly emission rates are calculated as a function of predetermined peak operational parameters, such as the maximum hourly charging rate and maximum hourly fuel throughput for incinerators. For other sources, where maximum hourly operational parameters are unknown, maximum hourly emission rates are generally calculated by dividing the actual annual emission rates by the number of operating hours during the calendar year. This provides the maximum emission rate for a one hour operating period, though the rate is effectively averaged over the operational time frame. Maximum allowable hourly and annual emissions are calculated by determining the maximum emission rate of a pollutant that can occur at a source when operated at its
