Comparing St. Mary s Hospital And Decatur Memorial Hospital
Located in the heart of Illinois, in the great Midwest, Decatur is well positioned geographically as a
manufacturing, distribution, and logistics center. Decatur s economy is largely manufacturing driven,
with cutting edge businesses such as Tate Lyle, the Archer Daniels Midland company, and Caterpillar,
Inc. Both of Decatur s hospitals, St. Mary s Hospital and Decatur Memorial Hospital, continue to be
an important contributor in the economic profile of the city. The educational element is depicted, with
the presence of Millikin University and Richland Community College. Together, these three factors
are what make up most of Decatur s economy.
Starting off with the city s biggest corporations, Tate Lyle is an international leader in the agricultural
food additives industry. They are providers of distinctive, high quality ingredients for food and
beverages which add taste, texture, and nutrition; increasing the functionality to their products. Archer
Daniels Midland (ADM) is a leading multinational agricultural product processor with four thousand

Possession A Romance Essay
Possession: A Romance
Possession: A Romance was published in 1990 and became Winner of England s Booker Prize and the
literary sensation of the year. Possession stood a best seller book in England and in America By March
1991, and was sold more than 100,000 copies in the United States alone. Warner Brothers bought the
film rights in 1991, and the playwright Henry David Hwang (M. Butterfly) has written the screenplay.
The novel became a film by the same name in 2002.

A new enthusiasm in her life is her cottage in the South of France, where she can work and relax in
sunlight (she suffers from the syndrome known as seasonal affective disorder). Part of a large family,
Byatt honors her solitude in the Cevennes, and says she experienced the cheeriest moment of her life
there: I found myself alone in this house, and there was total silence, and the sun was absolutely
blazing, and I walked up and down the stairs absolutely boiling with the sense that I belonged to
myself, and could finish any thought. (Certainly the sun, the sunlight and heat figure prominently in a
number in a number of her fictions, such as On the Day That E. M. Forster Died, in which women

metaphorically and literally. Byatt also says she enjoys TV nature programs ( snails and slugs and

The Patient Protection And Affordable Care Act
On March 23, 2010, President Obama signed into law the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act
(ACA), the most comprehensive reform of the U.S. medical system in at least 45 years. The ACA
transforms the non group insurance market in the United States, mandates that most residents have
health insurance, significantly expands public insurance and subsidizes private insurance coverage,
raises revenues from a variety of new taxes, and reduces and reorganizes spending under the nation s
largest health insurance plan, Medicare. If fully implemented, the ACA promises to lead to a
dramatically different health care landscape for the United States in the years to come. Projecting the
impacts of such fundamental reform to the health care system is fraught with difficulty. But such
projections were required for the legislative process, and were delivered by the Congressional Budget
Office (CBO). CBO projected that the ACA would increase health insurance coverage by 32 million
people and would raise federal government spending by almost $1 trillion over the subsequent decade,
but would raise revenues and reduce spending by even more so that the bill overall reduced the federal
budget deficit. These CBO projections were central to the legislative debate over the ACA. In this
paper, I will discuss the impact of the ACA in more detail, and describe evidence that sheds light upon
the accuracy of the projections. I begin by reviewing in broad detail the structure of the ACA. The

The Use Of Deadly Force By Police Officers
The Use of Deadly Force by Police Officers in the Field: Understanding the Complexities and Issues

MSCJ 501
Current Issues and Future Directions in Criminal Justice
Abstract
In light of the recent spate of police involved homicides of suspects who may or may not have put the
lives of the police involved in fear for their safety and well being, this paper seeks to examine the use
of deadly force by police officers in the line of duty. The training involved in using one s service
weapon in situations that call for a determination of the use of force will be explored, as will the rules,
regulations, and extenuating circumstances that lead to the firing of a service weapon in the line of
duty, resulting in the death of a suspect. The Supreme Court cases that have led to and/or upheld laws
allowing a broader interpretation of what is considered justifiable use of deadly force will be briefly
examined. Additionally, the use of non lethal weapons, such as Tasers, by police forces and how the
availability of these weapons influences the rate of deadly force will be inspected. Finally, an
elucidation of the various perceptions of the general public of the police after use of deadly force is
used within their communities will be addressed.

Essay Assignment #2 The LGBT community in the United States has always had massive difficulty
fitting into our society. For many years they put up with constant mistreatment and other forms of
abuse coming from the those who do not agree with their lifestyle. They have for long advocated for
the acceptance of their existence and punishment for crimes committed against them. One of the
hardest battles the community has had to face was the right to marry in a society that still holds the
values of a traditional relationship which is between a male and female. The struggle was quite harsh
but it all paid off by 2015 when the supreme court granted gay couples the right to marry. This
historical decision did not go without outcry and criticisms. Most of the dissatisfaction came from
those who hold very religious values and beliefs that claims homosexuality is a sin. Religion has
always been a part of the American way of life since the nation s founding and with that
homosexuality has been demonized throughout our society. Now that gay couple possess the legal
rights to have a marriage license, religious companies and/or stores are now denying service to LGBT
couples as they believe it sinful on their behalf to even take part. Many people gay or straight who
fought for gay rights believe these is pure discrimination and that stores should not have the right to
deny service for any customer for any reason. However, this belief is unconstitutional and goes

will be investigating tourism in Castleton and how well they manage it, and the measures they take to

Where is Castleton? because it is important to know the area and how easily accessed it is and just
how many tourists it gets because of its location. I will also answer the key question What issues
surround tourism and what impact does it have on certain areas? because it is important to know about
how much tourism Castleton gets to see if it even needs managing in the first place. I will also answer
What strategies are used to manage tourism? Because this will help to decide if Castleton does try to

The Impact Of President Woodrow Wilson And Women s Suffrage
For years in the United States of America, women have been battling for their rights. In the early years
when the United States were colonies, under the English common law, By marriage, the husband and
wife are one person in the law. The very being and legal existence of the woman is suspended during
the marriage, or at least is incorporated into that of her husband under whose wing and protection she
performs everything, (History of Women s Rights in America). Now in present day America, Hilary
Clinton gets the presidential nomination for the Democratic party and becoming the first women to
lead a majority party, however she lost the election. Where the United States is today, America would
not be like it is now without the leader of the free world, the president. Comparing both President
Wilson and Ford, how they help women s rights, what they accomplished, and how Congress had an
impact.
Woodrow Wilson, served two terms, in the following years, 1913 1921. Before he was president, there
were women who were trying to get the write to vote. As in example, in 1848, there was a big
convention in Seneca Falls, men and women signed the Decoration of Sentiments to try to end
discrimination against women. During Wilson first term (1913 1917), he was lukewarm about the idea
of women s suffrage. The years leading up to the ratification of the 19th amendment, there was the
first War World. Suffragist knew it was going to be challenging to try to fight for the right to vote. So,

Based on my week, I spend the bulk of my time on school associated activities. This was not a
surprise to me, what I was surprised by was the small amounts of time that I devote to my religion.
Although I attend seminary, read my scriptures, and pray everyday, the accumulative time of all on
these activities adds to just over an hour a day. I am quite aware of how I spend my time, it is very
unusual for me to lay around and waste time of useless tasks.
2. Based on my week, I can only largely identify two main values from exercise #1: knowledge and
service. This makes sense because I spend 32 hours sitting in class a week. This doesn t include time
spent on homework or other corresponding activities. Something that did not make too large of an
appearance was my spirituality. I will admit that my scripture studies and other related activities were
extremely diminished this week. But it is to be expected that my religion isn t quite as evident within
my daily schedule because it isn t practical to spend over 4 hours a day reading scriptures, there
simply isn t enough time. True spirituality is seen through more subtle actions than in extravagant
activities that draw large amounts of attention. With this considered, I do still need to increase the

Developing A Strong Classroom Management Style
There are many factors that affects a student s ability to learn and achieve. Classroom management
plays a major role in the effectiveness of education and paves the way for the teacher to engage
students in learning. Classroom management creates a set of expectations, routines, rules, and
consequences. Through my experience at Olson Elementary, I have had the privilege of observing Ms.
Mason, her students, and how she addresses classroom management. Every teacher has their own
approach on classroom management, but essentially instills and models and principles of instills the
goals and structure that meet the needs of their students.
A key factor in developing a strong classroom management style is having engaging instruction. Ms.
Mason creates a motivating environment by using a variety of teaching methods and tools. She uses a
document camera and projector to display teaching lessons to the class. She does assignments with the
students, which engages the students and allows them to move at a pace that better suits them. She
also incorporates the use of videos, current events, and different activity stations. She also has a
compelling nature about her when speaks and interacts with her students; she is animated, sincere, and
captivating. In my future classroom I would also use different teaching methods because students have
different learning styles. I would incorporate more kinesthetic and hands on learning activities. I
would want to emphasize Ron Clark s approach

Why Are Veterans Important To Society
Throughout US history, many wars and battles were fought that marked America. Fighting within
those wars were brave soldiers, which to this day, we know as veterans. Veterans are important to our

that it is today. Veterans, along with other respected groups of people, deserve the nation s uttermost

One often misinterprets the true meaning of war, believing it is only a dispute that is ended through
fighting. In fact, war is more than just fighting. It is a battle where many brave souls lose their lives
for protecting the country they love. Many of the rights we have today would not have been possible
without the sacrifice of many brave American soldiers. Instead of living in a tranquil and prosperous
nation, we could be living in a nation that resembles countries such as Africa, living under poor
conditions and extreme poverty. It is imperative to take into consideration that the veterans we have
today have made an impact on our nation and we owe much of our respect to them. Not many people
have the courage to take on the heavy and overwhelming duty of going to war, knowing that death is
imminent. Along with that, many of them have experienced traumatizing moments that have scarred
them for life. Because of this, there is much appreciation and respect inclined towards

Comparing Cyrus The Great Of The Persian Empire And...
Paper #2 The Ancient Roman Poet, Virgil, once wrote, They can conquer who believe they can. King
Cyrus the Great of the Persian Empire and Emperor Caesar Augustus of the Roman Republic/Empire
are leaders whose conviction in their rights to power establish the unwavering support of the people
they lead. King Cyrus the Great rises to the throne of an expansive Persian Empire. As King, he brings
virtually the entire Near East under his control. In 539, claiming to be under the divine right the
Babylonian God Marduk, peacefully conquers Babylon and drives out Nabonidus, the last of the Neo
Babylonian kings. Cyrus the Great produces a clay cylinder denouncing Nabonidus as an impious
oppressor of the people of Babylonia, and of low born origins, making him lesser than Cyrus s kingly
heritage. Cyrus portrays himself as having been chosen by the chief Babylonian God Marduk to
restore peace and order to the Babylonians. It concludes with a description of how Cyrus repairs the
city wall of Babylon and leaves his cylindrical legacy beneath the wall forever. The Res Gestae Divi

Who Is Responsible For The Injury Of The Post Surgical...
The case that has been presented in this unit is who is responsible for the injury that the post surgical
patient has suffered. In order to justify who is the party at fault, one must look at all aspect as to what
lead up to the permanent damage to the patient s left leg. Malpractice is negligence by a professional
(Singh, 2006, pp 19). In this case, there has been proven to be negligence, but how many parties
should be held responsible is the question. The standard of care can be different in each facility and it
is up to the nurses to know what the quality of care should be when dealing with patients (Singh,
2006). In this case, I believe that both the night shift nurse and the day shift nurse should be held
accountable for the damage done to this patient.
Negligence can happen for several reasons when it comes to nursing staff. The can be overworked
nurses, to many patients, lack of staffing, or poor documentation. There are four areas that must be
met when trying to determine a malpractice claim. These areas are duty to patient, breach of duty to
patient, injury to patient, and causal relationship between breach of duty and harm or injury (Diemert,
2012, pp 6). Duty to the patient is when a nurse is assigned to a floor or specified rooms that have
patients who require their direct care. They are to make sure that the physician s orders are followed.
Breach of duty to a patient is when the nurse does not follow through with the plan of care or the

The Current Diagnostic And Statistical Manual Of Mental...
The current Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM), now in its 5th edition,
defines attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) as persistent cycles of inattention and/or
hyperactivity impulsivity that inhibit an individual s ability to function or interferes with their
development (American Psychiatric Association, 2013). Inattention is said to manifest though
behaviours such as wandering off and difficulty in maintaining focus. Hyperactivity on the other hand,
manifests in an extreme relentlessness at a given activity, or persisting with an activity to the extent
that it wears out others. To be diagnosed with ADHD according to the DSM 5, six or more symptoms

Firstly, the position in favour of the change will be considered, and in particular the similarity between
fully diagnosed ADHD subjects and late onset ADHD subjects. The position against the change will
look at the issue from a biological standpoint arguing that raising the age of onset to 12 years may not
necessarily capture ADHD in individuals; but rather, biological changes as a result of puberty.
According to the DSM 5, an age earlier than 12 was not selected to be part of the requirement for the
diagnosis due to the difficulty for adults to establish precise childhood onset retrospectively
(American Psychiatric Association, 2013). Changes to the age of onset to before 12 years old is
justified, in part, by the similarity between fully diagnosed ADHD subjects and late onset ADHD
subjects. A study by Applegate et al. (1997) compared a sample of youth who met the criteria for
ADHD and displayed impairment before the age of 7, with youth who met the criteria but did not
display impairment. They found that the age of onset varied depending on the ADHD subtype. 18% of
combined subtype and 43% of the predominantly inattentive subtype had no manifestation until after
they were 7 years old. This brings into question the validity of the DSM 4 s definition of the age of
onset. Another study by Faraone et al. (2006) observed that subjects with late onset ADHD resembled
individuals with the full diagnosis in terms of comorbidity,

food and also educate the community about the realities of hunger. It has helped more than ten
thousand families throughout the years. The reason I picked the South Texas Food Bank as the
organization to get involved with was because I believe in what they are working towards. They are
working towards improving Laredo, by giving the hungry food. They give bags filled with food
ranging from: pasta to vegetables to rice. Each month they give up to thousands

How Have Norms And Values Changed From The Late 1900s To...
A norm and value can either be accepted or refused by society. A norms or a values needs to go
through a big process to be accepted by society. In the past, people wanted to do something but are not
accepted by society, like problems over gender roles, race relation, and sexual orientation. It has raised
a lots of arguments, and cause tension as well. Society has started to accept things which weren t
accepted in the past. In today s society, norms and values had evolved and are accepted by society. In
the mid 1900s to the late 1900s one of the biggest change in society is gender roles. Before, woman s
aren t allow to work, vote and they have to stay home and do household jobs, pretty much they are
treated unequal to man. They had no voice, woman pay taxes but they re dead in the eye of laws ,
woman can t have a college education, and they have to depend on man. Furthermore women can only
wear certain type of dress. But it changes in today s society where women can vote, go to college, wear
what they want, get pay equal to man, protected by laws, there s women who have more power than
man too, and they are no longer depend on man, and now they can live by themselves. ... Show more

some people get pay less than other people, can t sit where they want to sit in public place or public

Relationship Between Mpls And Ipv6
Relationship of SR with MPLS and Ipv6:
The main differences from the IPv6 source route model are:
The source route does not involve IP addresses; instead, the source route is encoded as an ordered list
of segments.
A segment can represent any instruction; either a service or a topology path. The path to an IP address
is usually the shortest path to that addess. A segment on the other hand can represent any path. (e.g. an
adjacency segment can force a packet to a next hop via a specific adjacency even if the shortest path
does not use that adjacency).
The edge routers (ingress and egress) are identified and are always available, thus permitting
accounting and policy applications.
The functionality of the source route cannot be ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The concept of indexed global segment is similar to the MPLS architecture as the absolute value
allocated to any segment (can be global or local) can be managed by a local allocation process. This is
similar to some MPLS signaling protocols.
Labels in SR can be signaled by various protocols. Within a SR domain, the MPLS signaling protocols
(like LDP and RSVP)are not required. If present, SR can coexist and interwork with LDP and RSVP.
The source routing model offers the support for explicit routing capability.
In contrast to RSVP based explicit routes hat consost of non ECMP circuits which is similar to ATM
or FR, SR based explicit routes can be built as list of ECMP aware node segments and therefore
ECMP aware traffic engineering is provided an in built by SR.
When Segment Routing is instantiated over the MPLS data plane the following applies:
A list of segments is represented as a stack of labels.
The active segment is the top label.
The CONTINUE operation is implemented as an MPLS swap operation.
When the same SRGB block is used throughout the SR domain, the outgoing label value is equal to
the incoming label value. Else, the outgoing label value is [SRGB(next_hop)+index].
The NEXT operation is implemented as an MPLS pop operation.
The PUSH operation is implemented as an MPLS push of a label stack. In conclusion, there are no
changes in the operations of the data plane

Corn Ethanol Controversy And The Chemical Formula Of Ethanol
Corn Ethanol Controversy!
Ethanol (CH3CH2OH) is a clear, colorless liquid. It is also known as ethyl alcohol, EtOH, and grain
alcohol. Ethanol is widely produced by processing grains such as corn or starch and sugar crops. The
grain is first milled, then fermented with yeast and different enzymes to turn the grain s starches into
alcohol(EPA). A distillation process then increases the ethanol concentrations, basically the same
process a whiskey maker would use to make whiskey. Of course, law mandates that a denaturant is
added, making the liquid unsafe for drinking. In the process, waste grain is produced and sold as farm
animal feed. Bioethanol, can be made from many types of trees and grasses, but the procedure is much
harder. The chemical formula of ethanol is the same whether it is made from starch and sugar based
feedstocks, such as corn grain (widely used in United States), sugar cane (Brazil), or from cellulosic
feedstocks (such as wood chips or crop residues). (The Alternative Fuels Data Center)
In the United States, ethanol is primarily used as a blending element in the production of gas and as an
alternative fuel. More than 95% of the gasoline sold in the United States contains ethanol. Most of
ethanol blending into U.S. motor gasoline occurs to meet the requirements of the 1990 Clean Air Act
(RFG Fuel) and the Renewable Fuel Standard set forth in the Energy Independence and Security Act
of 2007. (U.S Energy Information Administration)

Chain Of Violence In Tobias Wolff s The Chain And Bullet...
The Chain and Bullet in the Brain
A Chain of Violence, and a Link. In both of Tobias Wolff short stories, The Chain and Bullet in the
Brain, the theme is revenge, or getting what is coming. The Chain starts with an act of violence and
due to our main characters choices and actions, the violence continues on, a domino effect. While
shorter in length, Bullet in the Brain also packs in violence with our main character being on the
receiving end of it, and then reflecting on his entire life after his death. The author s personal
psychology is one that believes in karma as he tells the story of both Brian Gold and Anders where
they both get their due justice, in different ways with different outcomes. In these two stories we deal
with characters who may on the surface seem different, but both have different character flaws and
temperaments that reveal their dangerous psychological states, pivotal moments that create their story,
and major mistakes that result in violence and can not be taken back. In The Chain our main character
is Brian Gold, a father who owns a video store called Gold s Video. He has character flaws that
directly link to the type of violence he becomes involved in. In the first paragraph, we see that his
daughter is in danger as she is being attacked by a dog. Brian does what he can to help in time, but his
daughter still luckily only suffers some bruises, and the owner of the dog is less than apologetic. Brian
s cousin Tom offers to kill

A Narrative Essay On Nazi Solder
Alexander Betancourt Feb, 24 2017 Period 3 Night Essay I am Adelchi Schmidt a Nazi solder. I was
placed in charge of getting all the Jew s on to the cattle cars to be taken to Auschwitz. It will be a long
and painful journey of them and most of them will not last the trip. They will all be unloaded at the
camp and then placed to stay for a short time until we kill them. The sight of all the Jews being loaded
on the train is truly a sad disturbing. I must fallow the orders of my officers. As I was loading Jews on
the train one of them tried to fight it. We told him to stop or he would be killed. But he didn t stop
screaming for his wife and daughters. I had to shoot him in the head and continue the proses of getting

another officer came and told me I was relived of my post. I was off for a few days and when I came
back to the guard tower I sat there and waited all day for the person to go back to the wall. Around
twelve o clock they were at the wall and I looked through the scope. It was Baldrik! I didn t even
know that he had been transferred to Auschwitz. I never took him for the kind to do that type of thing.
I always thought that he was a very strict and mean guy. I later had seen him in the mess hall. I walked
up and sat right next to him. He didn t see who I was at first. I said I seen you by the wall. He looked

Yahweh In The Book Of Jonah Bible
In the Hebrew Bible, due to its anthological nature, there are a wide variety of viewpoints that are
expressed from different periods of time. While some books have mainly a negative view on foreign
nations and peoples, there are a few that are somewhat positive. The books of Joshua, Jonah, and
Esther all illustrate distinct perspectives and approaches that the Israelites had to people of foreign
nations, which help to create an overall picture of the different beliefs that the various authors of the
Hebrew Bible carried. In the book of Joshua and previously, the people of Israel are told to remove all
of the people that are in the land that God had given them. They are not to leave even one person
alive, because Yahweh wanted only His people ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This can be seen in that, after finding out that Esther was a Jew, the king did not kill her. In Esther,
Haman had planned to kill all of the Jews in Persia, and after this plan was revealed to Xerxes at the
second dinner party, he ordered that Haman be killed and proceeded to appoint Mordecai, another Jew
and Esther s cousin, as the prime minister. In Jonah, Yahweh has mercy on the people of Nineveh after
they repent of their sins. This particular point serves as irony, in that Jonah as one of Yahweh s people
disobeyed, while the people of the foreign land obeyed, which serves to put a more positive view of
the foreigners to those that read the book. In differences, though, the most obvious is between the
book of Joshua and the books of Jonah and Esther. Joshua paints all foreigners are bad and that they
should all be eradicated, but Jonah and Esther paint foreigners in a somewhat better light. In Jonah,
the Gentiles obeyed Yahweh, when the Israelites didn t. In Esther, the guy that wants to destroy all the
Israelites is killed and illustrated to be a bad guy, while other people that weren t Israelites were
against the man s idea to do so. In both of these circumstances, Gentiles are viewed in much better
ways that in

from the past set of established rules, traditions and conventions in search of new forms of expression
and man s functions. New ideas in politics, psychology and philosophical theories are the main factors
that led to a search for new modes of expression. Characterized by social change, industrialization,

feeling that the characters verbal menace is intertwined with the act of physical violence that never

CONTROLLER. Drop your passenger at his chosen destination and proceed to Victoria Station.
Otherwise I ll destroy you bone by bone. I ll suck you in and blow you out in little bubbles. I ll chew
your stomach out with my own teeth. I ll eat all the hair off your body. ... (Harold Pinter: Plays IV

You re all the same, you see, you re all the same, you re just a dead weight round my neck... (Seizing
her wrist, with trembling, controlled violence.)
(A slight Ache and Other Plays {A Night Out}, p.83)
Unlike many violent characters, Albert s aggressiveness is motivated. It is due to sexual and affective
frustration and to the lack of social interaction(s). To put it differently, he attempts to reach through
violence what he failed to achieve through dialogue and conversation: to impose a sense of identity,
virility and authority.
In The Homecoming, however, sex is one of the most instinctual and uncontrollable motivations of
violence. Accordingly, characters go wild and transgress all moral codes to satisfy their sexual
fantasies and appetites. On the one hand, Lenny is proud of the cruel stories he narrates in order to
impress his brother s wife: Ruth. Max, on the other hand, indulges into insulting her at first sight.
Even Ruth joins the game when she verbally owns Lenny: If you take the glass...I ll take you. (The
Homecoming, p.34) To put it another way, characters harbor a sexual desire which they strive to
satisfy. In the universe of the play, there are many sexual games accompanied with violence and
falsehood; yet, the aim is almost the same: to impress or intimidate

Part of a large family, Byatt honors her solitude in the Cevennes, and says she experienced the cheeriest moment of her life there: I found myself alone in this house, and there was total silence, and the sun was absolutely blazing, and I walked up and down the stairs absolutely boiling with the sense that I belonged to myself, and could finish any thought. (Certainly the sun, the sunlight and heat figure prominently in a number in a number of her fictions, such as On the Day That E. M. Forster Died, in which women works best in summertime.) Byatt states, what I write is heliotropic, and this is apparently true metaphorically and literally. • 5. The Patient Protection And Affordable Care Act On March 23, 2010, President Obama signed into law the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA), the most comprehensive reform of the U.S. medical system in at least 45 years. The ACA transforms the non group insurance market in the United States, mandates that most residents have health insurance, significantly expands public insurance and subsidizes private insurance coverage, raises revenues from a variety of new taxes, and reduces and reorganizes spending under the nation s largest health insurance plan, Medicare. If fully implemented, the ACA promises to lead to a dramatically different health care landscape for the United States in the years to come. Projecting the impacts of such fundamental reform to the health care system is fraught with difficulty. But such projections were required for the legislative process, and were delivered by the Congressional Budget Office (CBO). CBO projected that the ACA would increase health insurance coverage by 32 million people and would raise federal government spending by almost $1 trillion over the subsequent decade, but would raise revenues and reduce spending by even more so that the bill overall reduced the federal budget deficit. These CBO projections were central to the legislative debate over the ACA. In this paper, I will discuss the impact of the ACA in more detail, and describe evidence that sheds light upon the accuracy of the projections. I begin by reviewing in broad detail the structure of the ACA. The ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

They have for long advocated for the acceptance of their existence and punishment for crimes committed against them. One of the hardest battles the community has had to face was the right to marry in a society that still holds the values of a traditional relationship which is between a male and female. The struggle was quite harsh but it all paid off by 2015 when the supreme court granted gay couples the right to marry. This historical decision did not go without outcry and criticisms. Most of the dissatisfaction came from those who hold very religious values and beliefs that claims homosexuality is a sin. Religion has always been a part of the American way of life since the nation s founding and with that homosexuality has been demonized throughout our society. Now that gay couple possess the legal rights to have a marriage license, religious companies and/or stores are now denying service to LGBT couples as they believe it sinful on their behalf to even take part. In the early years when the United States were colonies, under the English common law, By marriage, the husband and wife are one person in the law. The very being and legal existence of the woman is suspended during the marriage, or at least is incorporated into that of her husband under whose wing and protection she performs everything, (History of Women s Rights in America). Now in present day America, Hilary Clinton gets the presidential nomination for the Democratic party and becoming the first women to lead a majority party, however she lost the election. Where the United States is today, America would not be like it is now without the leader of the free world, the president. Comparing both President Wilson and Ford, how they help women s rights, what they accomplished, and how Congress had an impact. Woodrow Wilson, served two terms, in the following years, 1913 1921. Before he was president, there were women who were trying to get the write to vote. I am quite aware of how I spend my time, it is very unusual for me to lay around and waste time of useless tasks. 2. Classroom management plays a major role in the effectiveness of education and paves the way for the teacher to engage students in learning. Classroom management creates a set of expectations, routines, rules, and consequences. Through my experience at Olson Elementary, I have had the privilege of observing Ms. Mason, her students, and how she addresses classroom management. Every teacher has their own approach on classroom management, but essentially instills and models and principles of instills the goals and structure that meet the needs of their students. A key factor in developing a strong classroom management style is having engaging instruction. Ms. Mason creates a motivating environment by using a variety of teaching methods and tools. She uses a document camera and projector to display teaching lessons to the class. She does assignments with the students, which engages the students and allows them to move at a pace that better suits them. She also incorporates the use of videos, current events, and different activity stations. She also has a compelling nature about her when speaks and interacts with her students; she is animated, sincere, and captivating. Instead of living in a tranquil and prosperous nation, we could be living in a nation that resembles countries such as Africa, living under poor conditions and extreme poverty. King Cyrus the Great of the Persian Empire and Emperor Caesar Augustus of the Roman Republic/Empire are leaders whose conviction in their rights to power establish the unwavering support of the people they lead. King Cyrus the Great rises to the throne of an expansive Persian Empire. As King, he brings virtually the entire Near East under his control. In 539, claiming to be under the divine right the Babylonian God Marduk, peacefully conquers Babylon and drives out Nabonidus, the last of the Neo Babylonian kings. Cyrus the Great produces a clay cylinder denouncing Nabonidus as an impious oppressor of the people of Babylonia, and of low born origins, making him lesser than Cyrus s kingly heritage. Cyrus portrays himself as having been chosen by the chief Babylonian God Marduk to restore peace and order to the Babylonians. It concludes with a description of how Cyrus repairs the city wall of Babylon and leaves his cylindrical legacy beneath the wall forever. We were trapped in the juncture of race and gender where studies on Black youth focus primarily on issues encountered by Black boys and the studies on girls gives attention to the challenges faced by White girls. In order to justify who is the party at fault, one must look at all aspect as to what lead up to the permanent damage to the patient s left leg. Malpractice is negligence by a professional (Singh, 2006, pp 19). In this case, there has been proven to be negligence, but how many parties should be held responsible is the question. The standard of care can be different in each facility and it is up to the nurses to know what the quality of care should be when dealing with patients (Singh, 2006). In this case, I believe that both the night shift nurse and the day shift nurse should be held accountable for the damage done to this patient. Negligence can happen for several reasons when it comes to nursing staff. The can be overworked nurses, to many patients, lack of staffing, or poor documentation. There are four areas that must be met when trying to determine a malpractice claim. These areas are duty to patient, breach of duty to patient, injury to patient, and causal relationship between breach of duty and harm or injury (Diemert, 2012, pp 6). Duty to the patient is when a nurse is assigned to a floor or specified rooms that have patients who require their direct care. They are to make sure that the physician s orders are followed. The current Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM), now in its 5th edition, defines attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) as persistent cycles of inattention and/or hyperactivity impulsivity that inhibit an individual s ability to function or interferes with their development (American Psychiatric Association, 2013). Inattention is said to manifest though behaviours such as wandering off and difficulty in maintaining focus. Hyperactivity on the other hand, manifests in an extreme relentlessness at a given activity, or persisting with an activity to the extent that it wears out others. Firstly, the position in favour of the change will be considered, and in particular the similarity between fully diagnosed ADHD subjects and late onset ADHD subjects. The position against the change will look at the issue from a biological standpoint arguing that raising the age of onset to 12 years may not necessarily capture ADHD in individuals; but rather, biological changes as a result of puberty. According to the DSM 5, an age earlier than 12 was not selected to be part of the requirement for the diagnosis due to the difficulty for adults to establish precise childhood onset retrospectively (American Psychiatric Association, 2013). Changes to the age of onset to before 12 years old is justified, in part, by the similarity between fully diagnosed ADHD subjects and late onset ADHD subjects. A study by Applegate et al. (1997) compared a sample of youth who met the criteria for ADHD and displayed impairment before the age of 7, with youth who met the criteria but did not display impairment. They found that the age of onset varied depending on the ADHD subtype. 18% of combined subtype and 43% of the predominantly inattentive subtype had no manifestation until after they were 7 years old. This brings into question the validity of the DSM 4 s definition of the age of onset. Another study by Faraone et al. • 24. Relationship Between Mpls And Ipv6 Relationship of SR with MPLS and Ipv6: The main differences from the IPv6 source route model are: The source route does not involve IP addresses; instead, the source route is encoded as an ordered list of segments. A segment can represent any instruction; either a service or a topology path. The path to an IP address is usually the shortest path to that addess. A segment on the other hand can represent any path. (e.g. an adjacency segment can force a packet to a next hop via a specific adjacency even if the shortest path does not use that adjacency). The edge routers (ingress and egress) are identified and are always available, thus permitting accounting and policy applications. The functionality of the source route cannot be ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The concept of indexed global segment is similar to the MPLS architecture as the absolute value allocated to any segment (can be global or local) can be managed by a local allocation process. This is similar to some MPLS signaling protocols. Labels in SR can be signaled by various protocols. Within a SR domain, the MPLS signaling protocols (like LDP and RSVP)are not required. If present, SR can coexist and interwork with LDP and RSVP. The source routing model offers the support for explicit routing capability. In contrast to RSVP based explicit routes hat consost of non ECMP circuits which is similar to ATM or FR, SR based explicit routes can be built as list of ECMP aware node segments and therefore ECMP aware traffic engineering is provided an in built by SR. When Segment Routing is instantiated over the MPLS data plane the following applies: A list of segments is represented as a stack of labels. The active segment is the top label. The CONTINUE operation is implemented as an MPLS swap operation. When the same SRGB block is used throughout the SR domain, the outgoing label value is equal to the incoming label value. Else, the outgoing label value is [SRGB(next_hop)+index]. The NEXT operation is implemented as an MPLS pop operation. The PUSH operation is implemented as an MPLS push of a label stack. • 25. Corn Ethanol Controversy And The Chemical Formula Of Ethanol Corn Ethanol Controversy! Ethanol (CH3CH2OH) is a clear, colorless liquid. It is also known as ethyl alcohol, EtOH, and grain alcohol. Ethanol is widely produced by processing grains such as corn or starch and sugar crops. The grain is first milled, then fermented with yeast and different enzymes to turn the grain s starches into alcohol(EPA). A distillation process then increases the ethanol concentrations, basically the same process a whiskey maker would use to make whiskey. Of course, law mandates that a denaturant is added, making the liquid unsafe for drinking. In the process, waste grain is produced and sold as farm animal feed. Bioethanol, can be made from many types of trees and grasses, but the procedure is much harder. The chemical formula of ethanol is the same whether it is made from starch and sugar based feedstocks, such as corn grain (widely used in United States), sugar cane (Brazil), or from cellulosic feedstocks (such as wood chips or crop residues). (The Alternative Fuels Data Center) In the United States, ethanol is primarily used as a blending element in the production of gas and as an alternative fuel. More than 95% of the gasoline sold in the United States contains ethanol. Most of ethanol blending into U.S. motor gasoline occurs to meet the requirements of the 1990 Clean Air Act (RFG Fuel) and the Renewable Fuel Standard set forth in the Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007. While some books have mainly a negative view on foreign nations and peoples, there are a few that are somewhat positive. The books of Joshua, Jonah, and Esther all illustrate distinct perspectives and approaches that the Israelites had to people of foreign nations, which help to create an overall picture of the different beliefs that the various authors of the Hebrew Bible carried. In Jonah, Yahweh has mercy on the people of Nineveh after they repent of their sins. This particular point serves as irony, in that Jonah as one of Yahweh s people disobeyed, while the people of the foreign land obeyed, which serves to put a more positive view of the foreigners to those that read the book. In differences, though, the most obvious is between the book of Joshua and the books of Jonah and Esther. Joshua paints all foreigners are bad and that they should all be eradicated, but Jonah and Esther paint foreigners in a somewhat better light. It is due to sexual and affective frustration and to the lack of social interaction(s).
