The document describes a growth observation experiment to study the effect of light on plant growth. Students observed the germination and growth of corn and green bean seeds over 4 days under different light conditions. The seeds under cardboard (less light) grew faster roots and shoots than those in direct sunlight. The experiment supported the theory that light inhibits growth by regulating the plant hormone auxin. Overall, the results showed that less light stimulated faster growth for the plant species studied.

I. Object : To observation the effect from light to plant
II. Teory :
The Germination is the pop up of plumula. And the germination is
the part of growth and development. Growth and development is
affected by some factor external and internal, either is light.
Generally the light is make elevation inhibiting, because the light
can analyze the auxin. The example we can see in the plant in the
dark place will higher than the plant in the lighting place. This is
called Etiolosi.
The Light also stimulate the growth for some plant. This is have
connection with Fitocrom.
III. Devices and Material :
a. 10 seeds of corns
b. 10 seeds of green beans
c. 4 Plastic glass
d. 1 Cardboard
e. Some cotton
f. Some water
IV. Step :
a. Soak the seeds in the water. Who float in water, so, it is not
good seed. We must take the seed, who that drown in the
water.
b. Prepare the cotton, 20 good seed ( 10 corn, 10 green bean ),
and glass.
c. Put the cotton in all of glass.
d. And put the 5 seed of each other. And give the glass name
with A, B, C, and D. ( A : 5 corn, B : 5 green bean, C : 5 corn,
D : 5 green bean )
e. Put the glass A and C under the cardboard, B and D under
the sunlight.
f. And give water routine in every day.
g. And CHECK IT.

VI. Conclusion
Based on theory below, plant in the lighting place will blocked the
growth. So, the seed under the cardboard show the faster growth then
under the lighting. And, now we know growth and development have
some factor to influence them.
