The organizing committee has prepared various activities and one of these is the On the Spot Poster Making Contest.

ON THE SPOT POSTER MAKING CONTEST 2015
OBJECTIVES:
1. To instill in the hearts of every Filipino the importance of maintaining good oral health in relation to their general wellness.
2. To show off talents of high school students with an in depth interpretation of the National Dental Health Month theme through their skills in drawing.
3. To influence people in schools, communities and malls of the ultimate goal of the Philippine Dental Association, that is an orally healthy Philippines.
Qualifications:
1. Open to all High School students enrolled in Public or Private school.
2. A contestant must be endorsed by a PDA Chapter/Affiliate society.
3. All children of PDA members are not allowed to join the contest.
Requirements:
1. Submit the Official Entry Form (properly filled out with 2x2 picture of the student contestant and signature)
2. The Official Entry Form must be placed in a LONG white envelope properly sealed and labeled as follows:

January 15, 2015 – for NCR, Regions 3 & 4 and Affiliate Societies
3. No entries will be entertained after the deadline of submission (STRICTLY NO EXTENSION) Failure to comply will disqualify the Chapter/Affiliate Contestant.
4. In the event that only 1 or 2 Chapter/s in each Region will join (Regions 1, 2 & 5), the activity will push through as scheduled but NO WINNER shall be declared. Their ARTWORK shall compete with the entries of NCR, Regions 3 & 4 and the Affiliates on February 18, 2015 at ________________.
5. However, if there will be three (3) or more Chapters participating in the above said Regions, ONE (1) WINNER shall be declared in each Region and the Artwork shall compete at the Final Nationwide judging to be held on February 18, 2015 at _________________.

GENERALCONTEST RULES and GUIDELINES
Registration Time: 10:00 A.M. - 10:45 A.M.
Contest Proper: 11:000 A.M. - 3:00 P.M.
1. Student contestants shall wear their school uniforms with school IDs to register and will be given a NUMBER.
2. The contestants must bring the following materials ONLY. (One piece 20”x 30” illustration board (standard 1/2 size); Pencils, erasers, craypas, markers, pentel pen (black or blue), cotton or tissue) shall be place in 1 container. (For strict compliance)
3. NO other materials shall be use. Non-compliance shall mean 10-point deductions from the overall score.
4. Student contestants that will arrive late shall be accepted but a 10-point deduction from the overall score shall be imposed for completed artwork.
5. NOSCORE shall be given to the unfinished one.
6. Artwork must be in PORTRAIT layout orientation. Nonconformity shall mean 10- point deductions from the overall score.
7. Student contestants shall be given four (4) hours to do their artwork.
8. Student contestants are advised to do their personal needs prior to the commencement of the contest and take early lunch. They can only bring drinking water at the venue during the contest proper.
9. Student contestants will not be allowed to leave the contest venue once the contest has started. However, if an emergency calls for it while the contest is on going, a committee member shall accompany the contestant.
10. Student contestants found with poster guides or samples will be disqualified from the contest.
11. Student contestants are not allowed to communicate with his/her instructor/teacher during the contest. If such thing happens, the contestant will be disqualified from the contest.
12. The contest theme will be announced at the start of the contest proper.
13. A bell will ring at exactly 2:45 PM to remind the contestants of the remaining 15 minutes to finish their entries.
14. The decision of the Board of Judges shall be final and cannot be challenge.
