Porter s 3 Competitive Strategies In The Case Of Etihad...
Porter s 3 generic strategies is a tool of measuring whether a company is following cost leadership,
differentiation or focus strategy approaches. In cost leadership approach, the company is having a
competitive advantage by offering competitive low prices. In the case of Etihad, the company is not
offering a low cost strategy because they want to be characterized as a prestigious airline that has
competitive advantage among others.
Differentiation is the factor where Porter analyzes the industry as having different offers from the
others. In the case of Etihad Airlines, it is differentiated from their competitors because of
differentiated prices, differentiated flight classes and offering. For example, the price of Etihad

They are valuable because they create value for customers since they try to make passengers at the
most comfortable experience. They care about customer s satisfaction in each flight even if they are
sitting in the Coral Economy Class.
The second factor is (R) whether the companies resources are rare. Since Etihad Airlines is an aviation
company and not any company can operate and open airlines the time they want. Airlines companies
must have the skills and operations to success in this sector. Resources such as oil, is rare to an extent

the Gulf region where oil is one of the countries resources, it is not an issue. There are few companies

The Tragic Hero, John Practor, in The Crucible by Arthur...
John Proctor
The Crucible by Arthur Miller is set in Salem in a Puritan community. John Proctor had everything the
average puritan could ever want: a farm to ceaselessly toil upon, three sons to discipline, and a wife to
spend his life with. Proctor was a guy that wasn t afraid to speak his mind and throughout Salem he
was respected and honored for it. But John wasn t the perfect man either he had betrayed his wife and
committed adultery. John Proctor is the tragic hero because he is loving, loyal, authoritative, but his
tragic flaw is his temper.
John is a loving husband. He proves that by telling Elizabeth, It is well seasoned (p. 48) talking about
the rabbit she cooked, in which he had to add salt to. He likes to make her happy, ... Show more

John shows his loyalty when he is trying to prove Elizabeth s innocence to witchcraft. By telling the
judge, my wife is innocent! (103).
John has an authoritative personality. John proves this authoritative personality when he goes to
Reverend Paris s house, to find out why there is talk of witchcraft in the town, and finds his servant,
Mary Warren, who is not supposed to be there and she shays Oh! I m just going home, knowing she
isn t supposed to be there (20). His first words to her indicate his authority, Now get home because she
does not question him and simply does what he says she proves he has authority (20). He shows his
authoritative personality when talking alone with Abigail. He tells her, That s done with trying to end
the conversation after she has asked for a soft word therefore showing his authority (21). He also
shows his authority with Elizabeth about Mary Warren going into Salem after he had forbid her to go.
(49) He has shown his authority over the hired help in his house. Later he shows his authority by
getting the last words in an argument with Mary Warren, Good night, then! (57)
John Proctor s tragic flaw is his temper. Though his pride does go along with his temper, the reason he

Behind The Battle Of Berlin Wall Analysis
Freedom shakes the grounds of Berlin Germany as Ronald Reagan gives the best motivational speech
of all time. He has a goal set and he will not stop until he does just that. In Frost s work he also has a
goal and a battle that he is fighting, both of these men fight against a wall that does nothing but cut
relationships in half. I believe that the wall in both of these works should be taken down. Every man
deserves a chance at freedom, and with a wall being a constant reminder of separation, that is not
possible. Twelve foot high and 103 miles long, the wall that does everything but good to the city of
Berlin. The wall that stood amongst the city of Berlin had one job and it served its purpose well, to
separate. In Frost s poem he lived amongst the battle of separation also as the wall between him and
his neighbor has done nothing but cause pain and work. Both stories have separation and heartache.
The battles of these walls is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The wall in Frost s poem is built between neighbors. Nature takes a tole on the health and condition of
the wall, over time each year after a long harsh winter the wall must be cared to and repaired. The wall
is made out of stone, which means that repairing it is not an easy task, these neighbors go through so
much hard work and heart ache so that there separation is not broken. They go through battles each
year mentally and physically fighting the wall, nature, and each other, instead of making peace and
love between the two. In Reagan s passage the wall is separating not only angry neighbor, but family
and two sides of a city. The Berlin wall was put up through the city of Berlin. It was built to separate
the two halves of Berlin, the east side was the totalitarian while the west side was more of a
democracy. The people on the east could have no contact with family, friends, or any loved ones at all
that were living on the west

I became what I am today at the age of twelve, on a frigid overcast day in the winter of 1975.
The novel begins as a frame narrative (introduces the story within a story) as Amir reflects on the past.
It appears that he will do so with an adult understanding of the events.
Winter often symbolizes death, creating an ominous setting to begin the story.
The connotation of the words frigid and overcast establishes a despairing tone.
Therefore, the allusion to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Chapter 1 the author describes the most important climax of the drama, the date also displays a
significant meaning to Amir because it shows how long the struggle has lasted.
Amir metaphorically continues looking into the alley where Assef raped Hassan, which means he was
reminded of the event in his mind
Because the truth of it was, I always felt like Baba hated me a little. And why not? After all, I had

concerned he is about their entire friendship. He uses a ominous tone to display how baba hated him.

Role Of Thought Police In George Orwell s 1984
The novel 1984 written by Gorge Orwell is a satire about the socialist dictatorships of Russia and
Germany. 1984 was written as a look into the future if political powers adopted a totalitarian
government. The Government of 1984 is a totalitarian socialist dictatorship. The names of the
government system are INGSOC or The Party. The totalitarian dictatorship, INGSOC, maintains and
abuses power through the Thought Police, newspeak, and technology. The Thought Police are
members of The Party who watched everybody all the time to see if they are acting against The Party
(Orwell 3). Thought crimes include thinking an anti Party thought, writing in a journal, and physically
acting against The Party. Thought Police help INGSOC maintain power because anyone who goes
against The Party, even thinks an anti party thought, will be vaporized or tortured into supporting the
government. INGSOC and the Thought Police encouraged children to turn in their parents for thought
crime. The Thought Police help The Party maintain power by killing or brainwashing people who act
against INGSOC. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Syme gives a description of Newspeak, in which he articulates that the words being taken out of the
language are anti Party words. The reduction of anti party words means that The Party is making
thought crime literally impossible (Orwell 52). Newspeak will also limit the range of thought by
changing definitions of words. A definition change makes words only be useable in certain context
and unable to be used to negatively describe The Party. Newspeak s shrinking vocabulary helps The
Party maintain power because anti party words are completely extinguished; causing people to be
unable to start revolts and commit thought

The New Structural Social Work As A Social Innovation
Social work contemplates establishing social justice through social transformation, and social
transformation, in many cases, leads to an innovation, especially social innovation. The purpose of
this paper is to explore whether The New Structural Social Work (Mullaly, B., 2007) can be
considered an innovation. The origin of social work is traced back to the end of the nineteenth century,
when the Charity Organization Society movement began in 1877 in the United States of America, and
the Settlement House movement started in 1884 in England. In both the cases, rapid industrialization,
urbanization (Mullaly, B., 2007), and mass immigration contributed to escalating people s plight due
to oppressions resulting unemployment, destitution, hardship, begging, and crimes. Social system was
dominated by power, and resource distribution was unidirectional. A group of people from the higher
strata of the society (Mullay, B. 2007) came forward to address people s plight based on individual
cases. The primary focus of the then social work, later known as conventional social work, was
individuals (Mullay, B. 2007) instead of social system. The intertwined relationships between
individuals and the social system were totally ignored or unapprehended (Mullay, B. 2007). The
conventional social work, thus, can be characterized (Carniol, B. 1992) as follows: 01. The
conventional social work is mainly based on advocacy and support focusing upon individuals
requirement. Social workers

Bullying At The State Of Nevada
We all might still recall back to our school days and the bully on the playground making recess
intolerable for some; or perhaps in the lunch room bully who helped themselves to our desserts. That
bully might have ended up in the principal s office, but likely not much more became of them. Bullies
have always been around, but now they have changed their preferred tactics. With the growth of
technology making our ordinary lives simpler, criminals and bullies have also used technology to aid
them in their transgressions. Many bullies have advanced to become cyber bullies and their chosen
scare tactic makes use of computers, cellular phones, or some other type of communications device.
What then is the actual definition of the act of bullying? Bullying in the State of Nevada is defined as
carrying out actions that may be highly offensive to a reasonable person and intended to cause the
student to suffer harm or serious emotional distress (Cyberbully tactics are focus of state law, 2010).
Cyber bullying elsewhere is bullying by means of electronic communication (Cyberbully tactics are
focus of state law, 2010). In Texas, bullying means engaging in written or verbal expression or
physical conduct that will physically harm another student or student s property, or is persistent
enough to create an intimidating or threatening educational environment for a student (Grobe, 2012).
These definitions are typical of those used in other states. Advances in

These are the onion skins from the onion patch. If it was not for the onions that came from these skins,

Budget Deficits and Economic Growth
Economists generally agree that high budget deficits today will result in the reduction of the growth
rate of the economy in the future. The United States budgetary situation has disintegrated significantly
since 2001, when the CBO ( Congressional Budget Office ) forecast average annual surpluses of
nearly $850 billion from 2009 2012. In April of 2011, it was revealed that our nation is 12.7 trillion
dollars in debt which surpasses by a wide margin, the 2001 CBO forecast of a cumulative surplus by

Unless the deficit spending is allotted to purchases resulting in long term increases in real GDP, future
generations will have to endure taxation at an elevated rate. This is the only way that the government
entity will be capable of retiring the elevated public debt which has resulted from this generation s
consumption of goods, provided governmentally. Added to this dilemma, the increased level of
consumption by this same generation crowds out investment, thus a reduction of capital goods growth
is apparent, leaving future generations with insignificant capital stock and a drastic reduction of their
wealth. ( time.com) In relation to our foreign debt, future generations may be taxed to repay this
exorbitant debt plus aggregated interest however this does not have to be etched in stone. It all
depends entirely on the projects that the government funds in the future. If these projects are of a
wasteful nature our future generations may face yet another added burden. This would also stymie the
growth rate of the economy in the future. The deficit must be maintained to ensure that the nation s
economy grows with its resource position. Our nation must do everything in its power to reduce the
deficit. Economic growth is also further impaired by government borrowing, which essentially is
competing for money against the private sector. The continuance of government borrowing is denying

Response Paper On Sexual Offenders
Chapter 6: Response Paper
Sexual offenders refer to sexual acts against a victim s will and includes a wide range of behaviors
ranging from exposing oneself in a public place to rape. Probation and parole officers have the
difficult task of working with sexual offenders and trying to help them during their rehabilitation
process. From researching different sources, I have concluded that risk assessment, treatment,
supervision, and restrictions/registration have effectively helped by working with sexual offenders in
the community.
Risk assessment is useful as a validated tool that provides a gauge of the offender s tendency to
commit additional criminal activity and indicates the level of intervention necessary. According to the
NGA (1), Most of the currently used sex offender risk instruments are designed solely to gather
information on static factors, or those features of an individual s experience that are unchangeable.
These factors can be used to assess long term recidivism potential, but not to identify treatment needs
or to predict the timing of a re offense. The risk assessment is a preventative strategy that helps
probation officers assess the offender so they can determine whether the offender is a risk to the
community or what type of treatment they will need. A main example of a risk assessment would be
Static 99. According to Static99 (2), Static 99 is a ten item actuarial assessment instrument created by

Osmosis in Potatoes
AT1 Osmosis In Potatoes
Aim: Investigate the movement of osmosis through a selectively permeable membrane, in this case
potato.
Introduction: Osmosis is the movement of water through a semi permeable membrane, separating
solutions of different concentrations. The water passes from a region of high concentration to a region
of low concentration, until the two concentrations are equal in concentrations of water.
Many cell membranes behave as semi permeable membranes, and osmosis is a vital mechanism in the
transport of fluids in living organisms, for example, in the transport of water from the soil to the roots
in plants.

Method After having done our preliminary work, we knew exactly which measurements we needed to

we intended on doing repeats at the same time as the original experiments were going on.
For organisation s sake, we set up all of the test tubes at once, and labelled them individually to avoid
confusion later on. Into each test tube, we poured 15mls of Glucose solution, and added one of the
potato chips, each weighing around 1 gram, and measuring 33mm by 5mm. In order to make it as
much of a fair test as possible, we added the potato chips very quickly, to make sure one chip didn t
have a longer amount of time in the solution than another. We then left each one for 30 minutes.
After 30 minutes, we emptied each test tube, leaving only the potato chips inside. Before we measured
and weighed each chip, we dabbed them with paper towel. If we had of left excess water on the chips,
the weights would not be accurate. We then measured the chips in mms because they are a more

Learning Experience Reflection
I believe that true learning requires much more than simply listening to a lecture, reading from a book,
or watching a video. While these all may be involved in the process of learning, hands on experience
and a real desire for knowledge of the subject are needed to truly learn.
Whether in the classroom or clinical setting, I believe that the process of learning should not be static,
but rather fluid in the sense that questions should be asked back and forth between educator and
student. A dialogue should be created so that both student and teacher are actively participating in the
learning process. Through this way of learning, one has to actively think and apply the information
they have on a particular subject, instead of just memorizing facts. I have found that this is the best
way for me to truly process and retain information.
In the clinical setting, hands on experience is the key to learning. During my general practice
residency, I was introduced to the see one, do one, teach one concept by a chief oral and maxillofacial
surgery resident who was assisting me with an advanced bone grafting procedure. I really enjoy this
method of learning within the clinical setting, given that one has had sufficient pre clinical education
and training, and that patient care is not being compromised. Observing the procedure being
performed by a superior or a colleague allows for one to see the concepts of pre clinical education
being applied clinically and to ask questions,

Career Clusters
Introduction While writing this paper I hope to further discover what I want for my future. May it be

I want for my future. In this paper I hope to stay organized and reach all deadlines. Survey Results My
results from both surveys mainly put me in the category being able to help people and or help
rehabilitate them. Most of my basic skills are around a level 4 which shows that I´m relatively well
balanced.I believe these do accurately show my skills and proper career choices. My top two career
clusters were health science and education and training.I do agree with the fact that I would do well in
health science as it is one of my major goals to get some sort of doctorate degree. However I don´t
very much agree with the education and training cluster.I don´t do well with education to others. It´s

State Farm Adverts
Advertisements There are millions of different types of advertisements that we can view from
anywhere in the world from our electronic devices to a newspaper on a stand. Advertisements are
being sent out in any way that the companies can make us want to buy their products. The thing that
we do not always see with these advertisements is their subtle hints that make you want to buy their
products without you even realizing that you want to. One such company that does this is State Farm.
They do this through the jingle , age of the actors, special moments in scene, or anything along the
lines that State Farm is trying to capture your attention to sell you their products. To express this I will
utilize three commercial videos from the company, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It starts out with a person saying that he is never going to get married then buys a ring. The couple
then says, that we are never having kids, but the two ends up having a kid. The mother says they are
never moving to the suburbs and does so. As the husband is cleaning crayon off the wall, he eludes to
the fact that he never wants to have another kid, but the wife states she is pregnant. Finally, the
commercial ends with the husband saying he is never letting go. The whole commercial is promoting
how State Farm will be there for all your Nevers in life. This would also show that they would protect
a growing family. This gives State Farm customers a reassurance that they can count on the agents to
be ready for whatever little mishaps might occur in our day to day lives.
There is no prominent distinction of State Farm colors red and white, but in the subtle details of the
clothing and baby chair, these colors are demonstrated. This helps show that State Farm is family
ordinated. They are not only looking out for the parents, but also looking out for the children. Instead
of having a jingle, the commercial uses the many phrases of never among the adults. All the way up to
the end, the Nevers are negative, but the very last never is the dad explaining that he will not let go of
what has become of his

LSD Synthesis Essay
Ever since the beginning of Nixon s War on Drugs, psychoactive substances have been given a bad
rap. This is especially true for psychedelics like LSD, psilocybin (the psychoactive compound found
in magic mushrooms), dimethyltryptamine (DMT), and of course the list could go on and on. But as
research has recently begun again on these compounds, scientists are finding more and more reason
for these substances to be reevaluated. In addition to helping with anxiety and depression,
psychedelics are today most well known for their effects on the brain s creativity levels. In light of
this, should psychedelics be evaluated and considered for legal use in society, as a tool for all of us,
and especially artists, to increase our creativity? The Birth of LSD Albert Hofmann was a German
scientist who began working at the Sandoz Pharmaceuticals research laboratory in Basel, Switzerland,
in 1929. According to his own writing in The Discovery of LSD and Subsequent Investigations on
Naturally Occurring Hallucinogens, he had been working on various pharmaceutical substances,

Compare And Contrast The Kodaly And Orff Methods Of Music...
The Kodaly and Orff methods of music education have stood the test of time, popular for effectively
engaging and teaching children crucial skills. While both share similarities in their approach
particularly the belief that all children should receive music education the Kodaly method is better
suited for teaching students in Victorian government primary schools, most of which are not resourced
with musical instruments and specialist music teachers. The Kodaly approach focuses more on singing
as the foundation for music skills rather than learning instruments and has a very ordered, sequential
process. This makes it easier for teachers to present music concepts to students at different
developmental stages. This process also allows ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
After being taught solfege, the hand movements helped me learn how to pitch notes when singing.
Clapping and dancing allowed me to feel the pulse and rhythm of the music within my body. To
prevent ourselves from rushing and singing ahead of the beat, we would have to stomp our feet by
walking in our spot. This helped us manage our pace and sing in time.
Research shows that benefits from the Kodaly methodology include literacy and numeracy skills,
spatial temporal reasoning, intelligence and social emotional development.
In 21st century Australia, music educators who use either the Orff or Kodály method to teach Primary
School students need to consider the difference in cultural backgrounds compared to that of Hungary
or Germany over a century ago. Now teachers must alter the curriculum to choose songs that are not
only age appropriate, but multicultural and diverse. The music repertoire taught under the Kodály
method.
But there are many aspects of music education that can be improved to better integrate other 21st
century skills. The creative skills of improvisation and composition are not yet integral parts of the
music curriculum, primarily due to music teachers lack of adequate training in these skills (Fowler
1996; Madura Ward Steinman 2007).

Champollion Research Paper
Anyone who has studied ancient Egypt will be familiar with Jean Francois Champollion. He was, after
all, credited with deciphering hieroglyphics from the Rosetta Stone and thus giving scholars the key to

The Poetry of William Blake
This essay will aim to show the relationship between Innocence and Experience in William Blake s
Songs.
Both Songs of Experience and Songs of Innocence serve as a mirror Blake held up to society, the
Songs of Experience being the darker side of the mirror.
Blake s Songs show two imaginative realms: The two sides to the human soul that are the states of
Innocence and Experience. The two states serve as different ways of seeing.
The world of innocence as Northrop Frye saw it encapsulated the unfallen world, the unified self,
integration with nature, time in harmony with rhythm of human existence.
Frye saw the world of Experience as a fallen world, with the fragmented and divided self, with total
alienation with nature, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The poem The Lamb begins with the question Who made thee? The speaker is a child asking of the
lamb s genesis. The child begins to answer the questions in a riddle; he who Calls himself a lamb is
meek and mild like a lamb.
The child s innocence is highlighted with the question Who made thee? it is quite a straightforward
question to ask. Yet at the same time the child is also asking questions adults have asked throughout
time about our origins. Even though the poem is straightforward in style, because the child answers
his own questions, a sense of perceptiveness is added, a foreshadowing of experience. Overall,
however, the poem is quite one sided with Blake showing only the positive aspects of the Christian
tenet.
The Songs of Experience are much darker in tone. The poems point towards an austere reality, a
bleaker view of creation itself.
The poetry here is a lot more pessimistic and angry. The state of Innocence has progressed towards
this state of Experience, where upheaval and menace lurks.
Blake s vision is dialectical; the states of Innocence and Experience are interrelated. Blake argues that
experience is not better or indeed more preferable to the state of innocence.
Possibly Blake s most famous poem, entitled The Tyger , dominates Songs of Experience. The Tiger is
seen to be a mixture of the striking and the perilous and a stark contrast to the vision of the lamb in
Innocence. The Tiger exudes a raw sexual energy.

Gender And Social Aspects Of The Sexual Revolution In The...
Industrial revolution was the change to new manufacturing process that took place in the 18th to the
19th century. The process involved the change from the use of hands in production to the use of
machines. The examples included the engineering of chemicals and iron productions, use of steam
power and the plant machine method. Due to the developments in the way of production in the
industries, employment especially the textile industry featured both male and female genders
improving the overall living standards of people. Sexual revolution can also be described as sexual
liberation because it was seen as freedom from the traditional codes of behavior to interpersonal
relationships and sexuality (Gill 103). As a result of this there was witnessed several changes in the
general perceptions and traditions held, especially on gender and social stereotypes, which resulted to
sexual liberation. This paper is going to look into industrial revolution and find out the extent to which
it constituted to sexual revolution and the everyday social and family life for both men, women and
the children.
Industrialization took place earlier in the western countries than the other parts of the world. Through
the introduction of machines that made work easier in the industries, employment was no longer a
man s thing and women found an opportunity to work (Carlin 318). The revolution created a shortage
in labor and textile factories absorbed young single ladies from the rural areas. The

The Last Day of Humanity
Prologue Purpose. The very word seems to carry with it the weight of progress, of advancement, of
humanity. It is the fire that has burned in man s heart since the dawn of civilization; a cunning
tactician smiling to himself as humanity wins its battles. Purpose has driven us from the first fire to the
final frontier; it is the father of civilization. Humanity advanced, quickly. With basic survival and a
functioning society fulfilled, civilization sped up. Distances became shorter, entertainment became
quicker, and life became busy. With life moving quickly, man lost time to think. And without thought
to fuel it, purpose became sparse and unfulfilled. Mankind, in their vanity, began to attempt to
eradicate the need for purpose. Society became shallow. It pressed upon its youth, its future, mindless
norms disguised as purpose. College, careers, and retirements were laid out ahead of them, whereupon
the latest generation began to goose step into misery. Before long, midlife crises began to arise at ages
as early as 16, a harrowing thought. Absent among all this anguish was purpose; 401(k) s would not
bring meaning to one s life, nor would a management level position in a startup on the rise. Life was
no longer about the means, but rather the ends. Consequently, joy became not an experience, but a
material. A product, bought and sold in numerous markets, manufactured and pumped out of factories.

A Dystopian Future in Brave New World Essay examples
Brave New World is a remarkable journey into the future wherein mankind is dehumanized by the
progress and misuse of technology to the point where society is a laboratory produced race of beings
who are clones devoid of identity only able to worship the three things they have been preconditioned
to love: Henry Ford, their idol; Soma, a wonder drug; and sex (Dusterhoof, Guynn, Patterson, Shaw,
Wroten and Yuhasz 1). The misuse of perfected technologies, especially those allowing the

Regardless of the progress of technology, the real issue is not the capabilities and potential uses of
new sciences. The real issue, as it is in Brave New World, is that there will always exist those who use
new technologies for personal gain, evil pursuits and as an attempt to maintain power and control (like
the State does in Brave New World). The ideal concept may be a state of stability that it unchanging,
but this comes from our own internal dichotomy between a need for stability and the conflict with the
instability of being real. No state has ever achieved such a stable condition in the history of mankind
anyway, Historically, no actual political state has ever achieved stability and only a very few have
approximated it...Even so this is the aim for which all politicians and political states plan (Firchow

characteristics and behavior (like manipulating a baby s sex or sexuality), who would choose to allow
this power in only the hands of a few, powerful interests? What would stop powerful white monied
interests from trying to rid society of supposed undesirables like blacks, Hispanics, homosexuals or
even women? After all, by being able to breed children outside of the womb, some men may feel their
truly useful purpose is achievable without them. Some contend that no loss of humanity is involved in

Idealism And Realism In International Relations
In the fields of International Relations, there are two important theories, idealism and realism. They
are two contrasting and competing approaches in study of international relations. Idealism is what
could be , planning the world as what they wish for it to become. Realism is what actually is , seeing
the world as it actually is. People may ask, which one is more preferable? Though it s a decision of
one s own perception that will never come to a correct answer, I argue that realism is more preferential
because peace that idealists promote isn t applicable for everything in this complicated world, making
idealism too normative.
Idealism in general, highlights peace as a central theme. The main point of idealism is improving the
society by eliminating war, violence, hunger, inequality and use of force. Therefore, idealists argue
that war should be abolished and wish to reform the community through an emphasis eliminating all
bad behaviours. They believe doing what s right is more preferred than doing what s in national
interest. They also emphasize that the society will become better when people are working for
common goals in the nation. Idealism have a strong sense of removing the evil . Idealists are
optimistic about human nature, and wish for the international relations cycle to be peaceful and free
from conflict. Some famous idealist thinkers are, John Stuart Mill, Immanuel Kant, and Woodrow
Wilson. A suitable example would Woodrow Wilson and the League of

as a basis to deliberate about aspects of human nature. Though the husband s misdeed is at least

We can find out, that he is a web developer and a technology geek. We can also find that his wife

British family and in this way, we can assume the British culture and social norms are the background
of the story. We know very little about real husband s attitude. He confessed that safety was his
concern. But we don t know whether he is honest and whether this is the whole truth. Therefore, I
think that it doesn t make sense to try and analyse the story in depth, because the story is rather
shallow. However, basing on the story we can explore some what if scenarios, like what if the wife
didn t know about the application, what if the husband lied and his intentions was not so harmless as
he explained. The interesting part of the story is that it touches the problem which appeared quite
recently. If we take into account permanent character of husband s espionage, and if we make an

The Story of an Hour treats death as a good thing, because Mrs. Mallard was excited when she

Analysis And Interpretation Of Blood Evidence Left Behind...
Bloodstain pattern analysis is the examination and interpretation of blood evidence left behind at a
crime scene. It is based on the principles of biology (behavior of blood), physics (cohesion and
capillary action and velocity) and mathematics (geometry, distance, and angle) according to National
Forensic Science Technology Center (NFSTC) guide. The analyst is tasked with classifying the type of
bloodstain and assisting in reconstructing the events leading up to the act that caused the bloodshed.
This is accomplished by examining the size, shape, distribution and location of the bloodstains. There
are several different types of patterns, and spatter from the bloodstains can be found on multiple
surfaces in many different forms.
My focus is on blood spatter which is a common bloodstain that occurs when a blood source is met
with a certain level of force or impact. Origin and trajectory are crucial, complex components in
painting a picture of what happened. In Richard Safferstein s text (2011), Criminalistics: An
Introduction to Forensic Science, he explains that interpreting bloodstains can yield the following
information:
The direction from which blood originated
The angle at which a blood droplet struck a surface
The location or position of a victim at the time a bloody wound was inflicted
The movement of a bleeding individual at the crime scene
The minimum number of blows hat struck a bleeding victim
The approximate location of an individual

Roxane a letter telling her how he felt about her but was unsure how to give it to her. He finally
decided he would give it to her in person. In the meantime a group of poets enter the shop and greet
Ragueneau. They discuss that the night before, a man killed eight men by himself. They asked Cyrano
if he knew the hero but he told them he didn t. The poets forget about the topic and go on to eating
free pastries.
Roxane and her duenna enter the shop. In order to obtain privacy, Cyrano fills three bags full of
pastries and tells the duenna to go outside and not to come inside until she finishes the treats. Roxane
tells Cyrano she has fallen in love with Christian. Christian was joining the Guards as a Cadet and she
wanted Cyrano to protect him from the Gascons. Cyrano agrees to protect him and Roxane thanks
him. After she

French Resistance Research Paper
The French Resistance May 1940, Hitler and his German army invaded France, it would only take a
little over a month before France would surrender to Hitler s Germany and the Nazi Party. The
German occupation of France not only expanded the Nazi s territory, but it also encouraged many
French citizens to rise up and go against Hitler and his cruel rule. From young to old, around one
hundred thousand men and women, by 1944, took up arms and fought against the occupation. Not all
the resistance fighters were violent though, some helped by just gathering intelligence and spying, but
the Maquis were more focused on hunting down the Nazis. After France s surrender Charles de Gaulle
urged the French to keep fighting the Germans. Right after France s surrender there ... Show more

In May 1944 resistance intelligent centers sent out 3,000 written reports and 700 wireless to Allied
commanders. Through April and May the resistance destroyed 1,800 train engines along with the 700
of Allied soldiers. One of their most amazing feats is having 150 sabotage acts between 1943 and
1944 using only 3,000 pounds of explosives, which is the same amount a Mosquito airplane carries on
one bombing run. (No author. The French Resistance History Learning Site). It wasn t all fun and
games though on their last push to help liberate France on August 19th 1944, while German forces
were rounding up resistance members for execution when the resistance went all out and attacked. By
the climax of the battles 1,500 resistance members and civilians were dead and Paris was liberated on
August 25th. Three days later Charles de Gaulle had one last message for his fighters, to go and enlist
for France s army and continue fighting on the

Multiple Forms Of Democracy, Monarchy And Dictatorship
There are multiple forms of government including: Democracy, Monarchy, Oligarchy and
Dictatorship. We here in America are probably most familiar with Democracy, however most do not
know that their are very similar yet different types of Democracy; Direct and Representative. Direct
Democracy, which is what the Athenians used, is where the people had complete and utter control of
the laws that were passed and how the laws were enforced. Representative Democracy, in America, is
where the citizens have a major input into what goes on in the country but we elect officials who
represent the decisions of the people. We elect leaders who sit within the three branches of
government; Legislative, Executive and Judicial. Secondly, a Monarchy is the ruling ... Show more

I m not the only one to think this as John Locke, an escapee from an absolute monarch, argued that
any other form of government was simply irrational and ill functioning. Now I understand that this is
largely up for debate due to other nations historically using many alternative forms of ruling which
have worked out fine. If I were to be a citizen of the United Kingdom, I might have a completely
different outlook on this issue. That being said, despite where I was born, I truly believe that I would
indeed have the same outlook. Democracy is a form of government that encourages the citizens and
the people to get involved. Everyone is allowed to have opinions on on certain issues, matter of fact in
today s day in age people might say people are too opinionated on certain matters that don t even
involve them. However, for a society to properly function, we need people to have opinions on issues
that they are passionate about. If we want problems in our nation to get properly handled, we need the
people to have reasonable riots and revolts to show that we are passionate as a country about what is
going

Fish oil is a typical term used to refer to two sorts of omega 3 unsaturated fats: eicosapentaenoic
corrosive (EPA) and docosahexaenoic corrosive (DHA). These omega 3 fats are normally found in
fish, creature items and phytoplankton. Fish oil is suggested as a wellspring of these omega 3 fats as
they are the least expensive and most normal wellspring of them. Fish oil gives an assortment of

Yohimbine works by growing adrenaline levels in the body, and also impeding a managerial method in

Latin Jazz Ensemble Concert Report
This week, on February 27, I visited the Latin Jazz Ensemble concert at Sacramento State University.
It was my first time at a jazz concert in Sacramento. The jazz ensembles performed seven pieces
during the concert with twelve different instruments. Mama Cool Beans , Keeper for the Flame , Next
Exit , and Plena Con Sabor were four different and unique pieces which I liked and I think these
compositions inspired the audience. Mama Cool Beans , written by Bobby Matos began to play with a
violin, two woodwinds, three brasses, piano, guitar, bass, and two percussions at the same time in
rapid tempo. After a while, Beatriz Figueroa Chavez was joined and she also played on the instrument.
Unfortunately, I do not know the name of this instrument ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
After a few second, bass and two percussions joined them and then two woodwinds, three brass and
violin began to play in a calm rhythm. In the middle of the composition, when the brasses and the
woodwinds accompanied, the rhythm changed, it became faster and that part was so wonderful and
energetic of this composition. The ensemble did an excellent job of keeping with the beat. The next
composition was Next Exit written by Scott Martin. At the beginning, played piano, guitar, bass, and
two percussions. After several seconds, joined the brasses and a violin. The tempo was played at
medium, in my opinion. At the middle of the piece, one of the brass had improvisation after which the
audience applauded very loudly. It was very nice to watch each of the musicians. Especially, I liked
the end of the composition as they stopped all in an instant. It was just awesome! The last was the
Mexican piece Plena Con Sabor written by Oscar Hernandez. This piece was different from others in
that Beatriz Figueroa Chavez sang solo and danced. I really liked her voice. During the composition, it
was possible to observe how the sound changed because someone from the musicians fell silent and
then joined again. The tempo was fast throughout the piece and did not change. The end of
composition was played by all instruments and it sounded

Personal Marketing Plan Essay
A Personal Marketing Plan Even as a child I always marvel about how systematic the process of
handling the financial aspect of a certain company works. I have seen some people from my family try
to organize their books of accounts and I am amazed at how financial statements are well coordinated.
Thus, when I pursue my college education I decided that I want to take up accounting and learn the
systematic process of managing finances. I come from a line of family who are into the business
world. This is the reason why I ultimately believe that I am a top candidate in any accounting firm.
Allow me to be specific, I am driven as a child and it extends as I aged. My fascination as a child for
this process motivated me to develop a sense of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
SWOT Analysis
In order to know my position in the industry and the viability of my chosen profession, A SWOT
Analysis has been initiated taking into consideration the legal, social, economic and technological
aspects of business.
Becoming an accountant requires having the appropriate degree and passing the licensure
examination. The educational requirement, as well as the number of hours in apprenticeship is
necessary before one can rightfully be called an accountant. A mere graduate of the profession would
not constitute to automatic nomination into the league or associations of accountant. As an
international student, in order to work in the US one must secure a working permit. This is one of the
requirements in working in the US. Usually, if an individual enter the US in a student visa then that
individual is required by law to return to his or her country of origin. However, if an opportunity of
employment is opened or extended to this individual, the employer would fix all the necessary
documents to arrange for the individual s working visa and permits.
Although protected by law, discrimination and prejudice still exist in the US and this is one of the
identified threats which might deter a person qualified or otherwise to seek employment from a
reputable company. Language barrier is also a problem that is seen as a weakness and a threat at the
same time. Foreign nationals who have been to the US for a limited time may not necessarily

United States vs. Foreign Nations: Funding amp; Reimbursing Healthcare Services
In this document I will discuss the health care system of three foreign nations versus the United States.
Specifically, focusing on how physicians and hospitals are reimbursed and funded in the United States
as opposed to foreign nations. The three other foreign nations that will be involved in this discussion
will be: Germany, Canada, and United Kingdom. Reimbursement/funding of health care services
varies from nation to nation. Each of these countries inhabits a different point on the international
healthcare continuum. In this critical analysis you will read about the ... Show more content on

Instead of viewing healthcare as an expense, this system will cause Americans to think of healthcare
as an investment and evaluate services and costs based on the return on investment. If this system is
utilized, management will be forced to pay attention to refining the quality of care delivered to
patients along with the timeliness and manner, which will lead to better clinical, quality of life, and
economic outcomes (Watanabe et al, 2004). In order to try to implement this sort of reimbursement
system, the system would need to reward specific behaviors that providers and patient s display. It
would also need to reward behaviors it wants to encourage such as preventative medicine. This system
would reimburse providers based on the level of commitment they offer towards the health of
individuals and the community.
Germany Germany was the first country in the world to legislate health insurance as compulsory for
all. The nation has a contribution based social insurance model (Doring amp; Paul, 2010). According
to Bodenheimer and Grumbach, Germany and its pioneering law of 1883 required certain employers
and employees to make payments to existing voluntary sickness funds (2012, p. 169). The sickness
funds would compensate for the covered employees medical care. Germany provides statutory health

As of March 31, 2008, there were 329 Franchised in the RMCF system. RMCF s growth and success
was dependent on both its ability to obtain suitable sites at reasonable occupancy costs for franchised
stores and its ability to attract, retrain, and contract with qualified franchisees who were devoted to
promoting and developing the RMCF store concept, reputation , and product quality. As March 31,
2008, there were five company owned RMCF stores. These stores provides a training ground for
company owned store personnel and district managers and controllable testing ground for new
products and promotions, , and training methods and merchandising techniques, which might then be
incorporated into the franchise store operations. Factory sales increased in fiscal 2008 compared to

A New Competitor Successfully Entering The Market Essay
The ERI naturally tends towards a dominance of large platforms due to strong cross side network
effects. Thus, the following strategic challenges impact the viability of a new competitor successfully
entering the market. The ERI currently has significant barriers to entry due to customer switching
costs, brand identity, customer loyalty and intellectual property. New competitors would need a
solution with enough value to justify a switch from the current leading platform for both restaurants
and diners. A new competitor in online reservations must face the challenge of building both sides of
its ecosystem: not enough restaurants on one side of the network leaves little incentive for diners to
sign up, and vice versa. Essentially, the RRI is winner take all market and competitors need consider
their chances of success before competing.
However, advancements in information technology (IT), specifically the internet and the cloud, have
highlighted the profitable concept of OpenTable s model and thus the threat of increased competition
is extremely high. The ERI is evolving rapidly and now is rich in enveloping opportunities. The
restaurant reservation industry is now primarily a technology based business which means barriers to
innovative disruption are high (May, 2015). A proliferation of competition from other online booking
platforms are now more easily able to incorporate similar features into their own service, and these
rapid technological changes may soon render Open

Summary Of Greg Mortenson s Three Cups Of Tea
A Book of Lies Greg Mortenson, co author of Three Cups of Tea, has been under many controversial
assumptions recently. His book contains stories of attempting to climb the Pakistani mountain K 2,
discovering deprived friendly villages, and building schools all across Afghanistan. Although this
novel is supposedly said to be nonfiction, how much of it is actually true? Mortenson must have been
too busy with all of his factual speeches to realize that one day someone might see right through his
dishonesty. Mortenson s corruption is due to his mendacity, his abuse of money and partnership, and
his two faced personality. Half of Three Cups of Tea was merely a lie waiting to be discovered. Not to
break apart his book completely, Mortenson did in fact care about and facilitate the people of the

Although Greg Mortenson dedicates his life to building schools and helping kids, he still continues to
deny factual accusations that he has not been straightforward about his stories or his progress. One
thing Mortenson fails to mention about all of the fascinating and life threatening adventures that take
place in the book is that they are mostly make believe. Indeed, many of the events occur in Three
Cups of Tea are only a figment of Mortenson s imagination. In the book, Mortenson is said to have
promised a school to a village named Korphe that he supposedly found on accident after his failed
effort to climb K 2. In reality, Mortenson had actually promised the village of Khane a school in 1993.
Even though he assured the people of Khane a school before even discovering Korphe, Mortenson
built the school in Korphe first. In Three Cups of Tea, Mortenson said to

Porter s 3 generic strategies is a tool of measuring whether a company is following cost leadership, differentiation or focus strategy approaches. In cost leadership approach, the company is having a competitive advantage by offering competitive low prices. In the case of Etihad, the company is not offering a low cost strategy because they want to be characterized as a prestigious airline that has competitive advantage among others. Differentiation is the factor where Porter analyzes the industry as having different offers from the others. John Proctor had everything the average puritan could ever want: a farm to ceaselessly toil upon, three sons to discipline, and a wife to spend his life with. Proctor was a guy that wasn t afraid to speak his mind and throughout Salem he was respected and honored for it. But John wasn t the perfect man either he had betrayed his wife and committed adultery. John Proctor is the tragic hero because he is loving, loyal, authoritative, but his tragic flaw is his temper. He has a goal set and he will not stop until he does just that. In Frost s work he also has a goal and a battle that he is fighting, both of these men fight against a wall that does nothing but cut relationships in half. I believe that the wall in both of these works should be taken down. Every man deserves a chance at freedom, and with a wall being a constant reminder of separation, that is not possible. Twelve foot high and 103 miles long, the wall that does everything but good to the city of Berlin. The wall that stood amongst the city of Berlin had one job and it served its purpose well, to separate. They go through battles each year mentally and physically fighting the wall, nature, and each other, instead of making peace and love between the two. In Reagan s passage the wall is separating not only angry neighbor, but family and two sides of a city. The Berlin wall was put up through the city of Berlin. Role Of Thought Police In George Orwell s 1984 The novel 1984 written by Gorge Orwell is a satire about the socialist dictatorships of Russia and Germany. 1984 was written as a look into the future if political powers adopted a totalitarian government. The Government of 1984 is a totalitarian socialist dictatorship. The names of the government system are INGSOC or The Party. The totalitarian dictatorship, INGSOC, maintains and abuses power through the Thought Police, newspeak, and technology. The Thought Police are members of The Party who watched everybody all the time to see if they are acting against The Party (Orwell 3). Thought crimes include thinking an anti Party thought, writing in a journal, and physically acting against The Party. Thought Police help INGSOC maintain power because anyone who goes against The Party, even thinks an anti party thought, will be vaporized or tortured into supporting the government. • 10. The New Structural Social Work As A Social Innovation Social work contemplates establishing social justice through social transformation, and social transformation, in many cases, leads to an innovation, especially social innovation. The purpose of this paper is to explore whether The New Structural Social Work (Mullaly, B., 2007) can be considered an innovation. The origin of social work is traced back to the end of the nineteenth century, when the Charity Organization Society movement began in 1877 in the United States of America, and the Settlement House movement started in 1884 in England. In both the cases, rapid industrialization, urbanization (Mullaly, B., 2007), and mass immigration contributed to escalating people s plight due to oppressions resulting unemployment, destitution, hardship, begging, and crimes. Social system was dominated by power, and resource distribution was unidirectional. A group of people from the higher strata of the society (Mullay, B. 2007) came forward to address people s plight based on individual cases. The primary focus of the then social work, later known as conventional social work, was individuals (Mullay, B. 2007) instead of social system. The intertwined relationships between individuals and the social system were totally ignored or unapprehended (Mullay, B. 2007). The conventional social work, thus, can be characterized (Carniol, B. 1992) as follows: 01. The conventional social work is mainly based on advocacy and support focusing upon individuals requirement. • 12. Bullying At The State Of Nevada We all might still recall back to our school days and the bully on the playground making recess intolerable for some; or perhaps in the lunch room bully who helped themselves to our desserts. That bully might have ended up in the principal s office, but likely not much more became of them. Bullies have always been around, but now they have changed their preferred tactics. With the growth of technology making our ordinary lives simpler, criminals and bullies have also used technology to aid them in their transgressions. Many bullies have advanced to become cyber bullies and their chosen scare tactic makes use of computers, cellular phones, or some other type of communications device. What then is the actual definition of the act of bullying? Bullying in the State of Nevada is defined as carrying out actions that may be highly offensive to a reasonable person and intended to cause the student to suffer harm or serious emotional distress (Cyberbully tactics are focus of state law, 2010). Cyber bullying elsewhere is bullying by means of electronic communication (Cyberbully tactics are focus of state law, 2010). In Texas, bullying means engaging in written or verbal expression or physical conduct that will physically harm another student or student s property, or is persistent enough to create an intimidating or threatening educational environment for a student (Grobe, 2012). This is the only way that the government entity will be capable of retiring the elevated public debt which has resulted from this generation s consumption of goods, provided governmentally. Added to this dilemma, the increased level of consumption by this same generation crowds out investment, thus a reduction of capital goods growth is apparent, leaving future generations with insignificant capital stock and a drastic reduction of their wealth. It all depends entirely on the projects that the government funds in the future. If these projects are of a wasteful nature our future generations may face yet another added burden. This would also stymie the growth rate of the economy in the future. The deficit must be maintained to ensure that the nation s economy grows with its resource position. • 18. Response Paper On Sexual Offenders Chapter 6: Response Paper Sexual offenders refer to sexual acts against a victim s will and includes a wide range of behaviors ranging from exposing oneself in a public place to rape. Probation and parole officers have the difficult task of working with sexual offenders and trying to help them during their rehabilitation process. From researching different sources, I have concluded that risk assessment, treatment, supervision, and restrictions/registration have effectively helped by working with sexual offenders in the community. Risk assessment is useful as a validated tool that provides a gauge of the offender s tendency to commit additional criminal activity and indicates the level of intervention necessary. According to the NGA (1), Most of the currently used sex offender risk instruments are designed solely to gather information on static factors, or those features of an individual s experience that are unchangeable. These factors can be used to assess long term recidivism potential, but not to identify treatment needs or to predict the timing of a re offense. The risk assessment is a preventative strategy that helps probation officers assess the offender so they can determine whether the offender is a risk to the community or what type of treatment they will need. A main example of a risk assessment would be Static 99. According to Static99 (2), Static 99 is a ten item actuarial assessment instrument created by R. Karl Hanson, PH.D. and David Thornton , Ph. • 19. Osmosis in Potatoes AT1 Osmosis In Potatoes Aim: Investigate the movement of osmosis through a selectively permeable membrane, in this case potato. Introduction: Osmosis is the movement of water through a semi permeable membrane, separating solutions of different concentrations. The water passes from a region of high concentration to a region of low concentration, until the two concentrations are equal in concentrations of water. Many cell membranes behave as semi permeable membranes, and osmosis is a vital mechanism in the transport of fluids in living organisms, for example, in the transport of water from the soil to the roots in plants. We set up 14 test tubes, because in order to save time, we intended on doing repeats at the same time as the original experiments were going on. For organisation s sake, we set up all of the test tubes at once, and labelled them individually to avoid confusion later on. Into each test tube, we poured 15mls of Glucose solution, and added one of the potato chips, each weighing around 1 gram, and measuring 33mm by 5mm. In order to make it as much of a fair test as possible, we added the potato chips very quickly, to make sure one chip didn t have a longer amount of time in the solution than another. We then left each one for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, we emptied each test tube, leaving only the potato chips inside. Before we measured and weighed each chip, we dabbed them with paper towel. • 20. Learning Experience Reflection I believe that true learning requires much more than simply listening to a lecture, reading from a book, or watching a video. While these all may be involved in the process of learning, hands on experience and a real desire for knowledge of the subject are needed to truly learn. Whether in the classroom or clinical setting, I believe that the process of learning should not be static, but rather fluid in the sense that questions should be asked back and forth between educator and student. A dialogue should be created so that both student and teacher are actively participating in the learning process. Through this way of learning, one has to actively think and apply the information they have on a particular subject, instead of just memorizing facts. I have found that this is the best way for me to truly process and retain information. In the clinical setting, hands on experience is the key to learning. During my general practice residency, I was introduced to the see one, do one, teach one concept by a chief oral and maxillofacial surgery resident who was assisting me with an advanced bone grafting procedure. I really enjoy this method of learning within the clinical setting, given that one has had sufficient pre clinical education and training, and that patient care is not being compromised. Observing the procedure being performed by a superior or a colleague allows for one to see the concepts of pre clinical education being applied clinically and to ask questions, ... This is especially true for psychedelics like LSD, psilocybin (the psychoactive compound found in magic mushrooms), dimethyltryptamine (DMT), and of course the list could go on and on. But as research has recently begun again on these compounds, scientists are finding more and more reason for these substances to be reevaluated. Both Songs of Experience and Songs of Innocence serve as a mirror Blake held up to society, the Songs of Experience being the darker side of the mirror. Blake s Songs show two imaginative realms: The two sides to the human soul that are the states of Innocence and Experience. The two states serve as different ways of seeing. The poem The Lamb begins with the question Who made thee? The speaker is a child asking of the lamb s genesis. The child begins to answer the questions in a riddle; he who Calls himself a lamb is meek and mild like a lamb. The child s innocence is highlighted with the question Who made thee? it is quite a straightforward question to ask. Yet at the same time the child is also asking questions adults have asked throughout time about our origins. Even though the poem is straightforward in style, because the child answers his own questions, a sense of perceptiveness is added, a foreshadowing of experience. Overall, however, the poem is quite one sided with Blake showing only the positive aspects of the Christian tenet. The Songs of Experience are much darker in tone. The poems point towards an austere reality, a bleaker view of creation itself. The poetry here is a lot more pessimistic and angry. The state of Innocence has progressed towards this state of Experience, where upheaval and menace lurks. Blake s vision is dialectical; the states of Innocence and Experience are interrelated. Blake argues that experience is not better or indeed more preferable to the state of innocence. Possibly Blake s most famous poem, entitled The Tyger , dominates Songs of Experience. The Tiger is seen to be a mixture of the striking and the perilous and a stark contrast to the vision of the lamb in Innocence. The Tiger exudes a raw sexual energy. This

It is the fire that has burned in man s heart since the dawn of civilization; a cunning tactician smiling to himself as humanity wins its battles. Purpose has driven us from the first fire to the final frontier; it is the father of civilization. Humanity advanced, quickly. With basic survival and a functioning society fulfilled, civilization sped up. Distances became shorter, entertainment became quicker, and life became busy. With life moving quickly, man lost time to think. And without thought to fuel it, purpose became sparse and unfulfilled. Mankind, in their vanity, began to attempt to eradicate the need for purpose. Society became shallow. It pressed upon its youth, its future, mindless norms disguised as purpose. College, careers, and retirements were laid out ahead of them, whereupon the latest generation began to goose step into misery. Before long, midlife crises began to arise at ages as early as 16, a harrowing thought. Absent among all this anguish was purpose; 401(k) s would not bring meaning to one s life, nor would a management level position in a startup on the rise. The ideal concept may be a state of stability that it unchanging, but this comes from our own internal dichotomy between a need for stability and the conflict with the instability of being real. • 36. Idealism And Realism In International Relations In the fields of International Relations, there are two important theories, idealism and realism. They are two contrasting and competing approaches in study of international relations. Idealism is what could be , planning the world as what they wish for it to become. Realism is what actually is , seeing the world as it actually is. People may ask, which one is more preferable? Though it s a decision of one s own perception that will never come to a correct answer, I argue that realism is more preferential because peace that idealists promote isn t applicable for everything in this complicated world, making idealism too normative. Idealism in general, highlights peace as a central theme. The main point of idealism is improving the society by eliminating war, violence, hunger, inequality and use of force. Therefore, idealists argue that war should be abolished and wish to reform the community through an emphasis eliminating all bad behaviours. They believe doing what s right is more preferred than doing what s in national interest. They also emphasize that the society will become better when people are working for common goals in the nation. Idealism have a strong sense of removing the evil . Idealists are optimistic about human nature, and wish for the international relations cycle to be peaceful and free from conflict. We can assume that the story is about typical British family and in this way, we can assume the British culture and social norms are the background of the story. We know very little about real husband s attitude. He confessed that safety was his concern. But we don t know whether he is honest and whether this is the whole truth. Therefore, I think that it doesn t make sense to try and analyse the story in depth, because the story is rather shallow. However, basing on the story we can explore some what if scenarios, like what if the wife didn t know about the application, what if the husband lied and his intentions was not so harmless as he explained. The interesting part of the story is that it touches the problem which appeared quite recently. If we take into account permanent character of husband s espionage, and if we make an assumption that it was done without explicit consent of his wife and his children, then this story illustrates a problem which has become quite prevalent lately a stalking. I m going to explore this problem in more detail and I will try to find its relevance to the story mentioned above. I will also try to identify causative ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The short story chosen was The Story of an hour by Kate Chopin and the poem chosen was Ballad of Birmingham by Dudley Randall. They each have their own way of expressing the nature of death. The Story of an Hour treats death as a good thing, because Mrs. Mallard was excited when she thought that her husband was killed in a train accident. When she abandoned herself a little whispered word escaped her slightly parted lips. She said it over and over under her breath: Free, free, free! (Kate Chopin, P. 202). It was selfish for her to feel happy that her husband possibly died. But then when she found out that he was not dead, she ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 39. Analysis And Interpretation Of Blood Evidence Left Behind... Bloodstain pattern analysis is the examination and interpretation of blood evidence left behind at a crime scene. It is based on the principles of biology (behavior of blood), physics (cohesion and capillary action and velocity) and mathematics (geometry, distance, and angle) according to National Forensic Science Technology Center (NFSTC) guide. The analyst is tasked with classifying the type of bloodstain and assisting in reconstructing the events leading up to the act that caused the bloodshed. This is accomplished by examining the size, shape, distribution and location of the bloodstains. There are several different types of patterns, and spatter from the bloodstains can be found on multiple surfaces in many different forms. My focus is on blood spatter which is a common bloodstain that occurs when a blood source is met with a certain level of force or impact. Origin and trajectory are crucial, complex components in painting a picture of what happened. In Richard Safferstein s text (2011), Criminalistics: An Introduction to Forensic Science, he explains that interpreting bloodstains can yield the following information: The direction from which blood originated The angle at which a blood droplet struck a surface The location or position of a victim at the time a bloody wound was inflicted The movement of a bleeding individual at the crime scene The minimum number of blows hat struck a bleeding victim The approximate location of an individual ... The British East India Company The British East India Company was an English and later (from 1707) British joint stock company formed for pursuing trade with the East Indies but which ended up trading mainly with the Indian subcontinent. The East India Company traded mainly in cotton, silk, indigo dye, salt, saltpetre, tea and opium. Shares of the company were owned by wealthy merchants and aristocrats. The government owned no shares and had only indirect control. The Company eventually came to rule large areas of India with its own private army, exercising military power and assuming administrative functions. If I were to be a citizen of the United Kingdom, I might have a completely different outlook on this issue. The ensemble did an excellent job of keeping with the beat. The next composition was Next Exit written by Scott Martin. At the beginning, played piano, guitar, bass, and two percussions. At the middle of the piece, one of the brass had improvisation after which the audience applauded very loudly. It was very nice to watch each of the musicians. Thus, the following strategic challenges impact the viability of a new competitor successfully entering the market. The ERI currently has significant barriers to entry due to customer switching costs, brand identity, customer loyalty and intellectual property. New competitors would need a solution with enough value to justify a switch from the current leading platform for both restaurants and diners. A new competitor in online reservations must face the challenge of building both sides of its ecosystem: not enough restaurants on one side of the network leaves little incentive for diners to sign up, and vice versa. Essentially, the RRI is winner take all market and competitors need consider their chances of success before competing.
