2024: The FAR, Federal Acquisition Regulations - Part 28
Participation in politics
1. My name is Steven Duke
My current major is general studies
2. • Things that make want to participate in our society and system would
be the fact that I can make a difference.
• Voting is very important it is what makes the USA the way we are, a
superpower.
• One thing I would like to see change would be the abuse of systems
like food stamps, and welfare.
• I still believe welfare can be used, we just need to find a way to better
monitor it.
3. • One thing that really surprised m eon federal processes would be how
long it takes to amend an amendment should we choose to do so, it
take as long as necessary, it could be two hundred years if it is
required!
• I would like to know more about the amendment process actually, like
why does it normally take so long?
• I was not expecting to learn so much about the press like we did in
chapter 11.
4. • A major political issue that I think of is immigration. From here on out
we have to decide how populated we want the United States to get. I
expect our population to decrease with the wall. How long will it
stand?
5. • I believe the most important amendment would most definitely be
the first. Without it we would not be who we are today. Not as a
people, or as a worldpower.
6. • One thing we did that I will for sure always remember would
definitely be the press. I plan to teach social studies in the future and
the press has a huge impact on all of our social lives.
