2. PRIMARY ROAD
SECONDARY ROAD
ACCESS ROAD
For any new development, at least three hierarchically interlinked road patterns should be followed :
•Primary roads: Primary roads connect settlements/ zones/ sectors with rest of the city, which are capable of and
usually are serviced by public transport facility .
CATEGORY OF ROAD
•Secondary Road: A secondary Road is a collector road or distributor road of low to moderate-capacity, which
serve to move traffic from internal/ local streets to primary/arterial road.
•Internal/access/residential road: At the bottom of the hierarchy are local/Internal/access streets and roads.
These roads have the lowest speed limit, carry low volumes of traffic and often have pedestrian priority. The
minimum width of such road will depend on the density of the adjacent plots
The right of way of a
primary road shall not
be less than 18 meter
A secondary road shall not be
less than 13.5 m

Make the best use of space. The drivers themselves
can control these with key switches in the entrance
area. These garage can be up to 20 storeys high and
hydraulic lift are use for up to 10storeys. As the car
park is not used by pedestrians.
40-80 cars can be
Handled by each lift. The parking place is 1-2min.
Moves the cars on a platform via the central
corridor of the garage to its parking pallets used
the lengthways or sideways can improve
parking capacity by 50%-80%

• bus width= 8 ft
•Inside and outside turning
radius depend on wheel.
•The line drawn by the rear wheel gives
the inner radios.
•90 turning circuit for 12m long rigid

Parking Facilities
The basic measurements for
space and actual requirements
for the manoeuvring and
parking of trucks are taken
from the vehicle dimensions
and whether driving straight,
cornering, or entering or
driving out of the parking
place. Especially while
cornering, the swept curve of
the trailing inner rear wheels
must be taken into account.
28. Close packed Basic layout parallel in straight line Parallel, herringbone formation
Tubular stands are
therefore suitable
,provide an intermediate
bar for children's bike.
Stands should be 1.20m
apart with access lanes
1.50-1.80m.
