Love and Logic This is the name of a parenting method, which is very
popular in the United States. Parents are taught to provide
love, acceptance and empathy, and to allow the natural
consequences of a child’s behaviour do the teaching. The
goal is to help children make good decisions on their own.

All parents use different parenting techniques to
communicate with and discipline their children. Parenting
courses try to teach techniques that have been proven to
work over time.

Curfew A curfew is the time a child has been told they must return
home. In some cities or countries, particularly in a time of
crisis, curfews can be set to ensure everyone stays indoors
after a certain time.
Consequence A consequence is what happens as a result of something
someone has done. Parenting experts often talk about
discipline techniques, which involve natural consequences.
These are consequences, which are directly related to
what happened. For example, if a child spills a glass of
milk, the natural consequence is that they help to clean it
up. Taking away their TV privileges would not be
considered a natural consequence for spilling milk.
