Vocabulary
Regular verb:
A regular verb is one that forms its simple
past tense and its past participle by adding "-
ed" or "-d" to the base form of the verb.
Examples:

Irregular verb:
A verb that does not form its simple past tense or its
past participle by adding "-ed" or "-d" to the base
form. Irregular verbs change their form.
Examples:
think thought (have) thought

1. Simple Past: a verb tense that describes an
action completed in the past.
Examples:
Moira planned the trip.
He bought a new shirt.
I helped my friend.

describe events occurring in the past that are connected
to a later time, usually the present).

A note on have/had:
The verb “have/had” can be used alone:
I have 2 dogs.

Have/had is also used to form the past participle. We can use both of
these together (although it sounds a little awkward):
