Mary Shelley s Frankenstein
Frankenstein: The Individual and Society
The creature s ambiguous humanity has long puzzled readers of Mary Shelley s Frankenstein. In this
essay I will focus on how Frankenstein can be used to explore two philosophical topics, social contract
theory, and gender roles, in light of ideas from Shelley s two philosophical parents, William Godwin,
and Mary Wollstonecraft.
What Does it Mean to be Human? Individual and Society
One historically important tradition in social and political philosophy is called Social Contract Theory.
It gives a way of thinking about what it means to be human, raising fundamental questions such as:
what is human nature, in itself, apart from society? Are people fundamentally ... Show more content

Mary Shelley s father, William Godwin (1756 1836), was a well known political anarchist. In Enquiry
Concerning Political Justice (1793), Godwin argued that government is fundamentally unjust, and
functions primarily to uphold economic inequality between rich and poor. Godwin was highly critical
of social contract theory; the conversation between Victor and the creature regarding a mate
exemplifies several of Godwin s criticisms (pp. 97 100). We could read this passage as a social
contract between Victor and the creature: if Victor makes a mate, the creature promises never to
return. Godwin asked why parties to the social contract should trust each other to keep their promises;
Victor agrees to the bargain, but didn t trust the creature to keep his promise, predicting he would
return in revenge. Their bargain sounds more like blackmail than a contractual arrangement. Godwin
also worried about future generations who were not parties to the original agreement, and had never
promised to abide by a government s laws. Victor was concerned about this; realizing that even if the
creature kept his end of the agreement, the female had made no such promise. He had sworn to quit
the neighborhood of man, and hide himself in deserts; but she had not; and she, who in all probability
was to become a thinking and reasoning animal, might refuse to comply with a compact made before
her creation (114).

Compare And Contrast Indus River Valley Civilization
Although the Indus River Valley and Yellow River civilizations emerged close to the same time, and
upon the same continent, they didn t advance in the same way. While there are many similarities that
should have caused for relatable civilizations, the Indus River Valley civilization quickly advanced
with written records, ceramics, copper, an advanced sewer system, highly populated cities, and their
city was built in a grid like pattern. However, the Yellow River civilization had some advancements
like clay pottery, bronze and wooden tools, and silk clothing, but it doesn t appear to have made fierce
progress like the Indus River. This likely had to do with the rivers they developed by and trade.

Should Athletes Stay Out Longer
I believe they should let the athletes stay out longer because it would get them extra time to just heal a
little bit more. In the article it states that once an athletes gets a concussion it is 3 times more likely
they could get another one. Maybe if they have a little bit more time it might help.

Declassified Chairman Mao
Declassified Chairman Mao is a documentary that traces Mao Zedong s various stages in his life to
become China s most iconic and god like leader. His belief that China must be destroyed in order for
the country to be rebuilt, killed millions and ravaged the country in the process. The first part covers
his early life up to the Cultural Revolution (1949 1966). The second half covers the Cultural
Revolution up until his time of death (1966 1976) followed by the emergence of a new China and new
leadership. Some of the important events and people that are covered in the documentary include: the
Great Leap Forward, Mao s loss of power in the Communist Party, Mao s wife Jiang Qing, and her
role in helping Mao get back into power, Mao s philosophy that led to the Cultural Revolution, Mao s
Red Guard , Lin Biao s rise and fall, the visit of President Nixon, the rise of Deng Xiao Ping, Mao s
death and the arrest of the Gang of Four including the trial of Mao s wife, Jiang Qing. ... Show more

Overall, I thought that the timeline in the documentary was accurate. Additionally, I felt the
documentary gave me some new insights about the events and the people who surrounded Mao. For
example, I did not know that Lin Biao came up with the red book in order to show his loyalty to Mao.
I was also unaware that Mao had been married four times. I also knew little of Mao s fourth wife Jiang
Qing and the fact that she was not only previously an actress, but also her behind the scenes role in
creating all the propaganda films during the Cultural

College Education Is No Longer Valuable
Many people believe that getting a college education is no longer valuable. They believe that with the
internet at their fingertips there is no need for a college education, but college education provides
more than just information for their students. College is about independence and learning how to take
charge of his or her life. It is an opportunity for students to learn about their future career. Students
learn about intriguing subjects, how to make lifelong friends, and how to spend valuable time with
people outside of his or her social circle. Students have the rest of their lives to go to work every day,
but college gives them a chance to make connections, build networks, and get to know new people
who have a different life experiences. Many people believe that the time and cost of a college
education no longer outweighs the benefits; however, acquiring a college degree gives students an
opportunity to find their dream job and to earn more money in the future. Before entering the
workplace, students should take advantage of the opportunities that acquiring a college degree will
provide. One opportunity is that college allows students to learn what career they like and dislike
before they enter the labor force. College is a time to explore a major that will continue to appeal to
the student throughout his or her life. Many students are unsure of their career path after graduating
from high school. College provides students with a stepping stone to experience

Sister Moon Religion
The movie Brother Sun, Sister Moon tells about St.Francis s early life, conversion, and religious order
that he founded with the emphasis of living as beggars and relying on the mercy of others as Jesus did.
In the beginning of the movie, it shows a wounded man in a hospital, this was Francis after he
survived the war. When he regains his health, he goes home to his wealthy family. After seeing all the
materialism there is in the world, Francis wants to get rid of all his possessions and live as the beggars
do so that he would be able to find true happiness in living a simple life. When we see that Francis has
survived the war, we know that due to his hallucinations that he probably had suffered from some
form of PTSD, he felt incredibly confused and unsure as to why he was still alive and his friends were
not. With this realization, he was probably upset that he ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It presented Francis as person who was always hungering for something more in his life and seeking
fulfillment and holiness. By watching Francis s formation in the faith, we can see him grow into the
saint we see and pray to today. He is known for being a person who is completely selfless and is
willing to give up everything he had to live as Jesus did. What I personally learned from this movie is
that I was able to witness the life of someone who always lived for others and also had the
determination and courage to stick to what he believed in and to stand up for those beliefs. By setting
this example, he attracted people to follow him on his religious path and to join his group. This
following that St.Francis had, it soon grew into an entire order of monks known today as the
Franciscan monks. Francis is an example to all of us not just because of how he lived his life but how
we touched the lives of other people. In the words of St. Francis If God can work through me, he can

Customer Loyalty And Brand Loyalty Essay
The term Brand Loyalty also called as Customer Loyalty has been in the business industry since a
very long time as a model to be used in conducting business. But it wasn t until the mid to late 1900 s
that the term was actually given its due importance by making it a vital part of advertising and
marketing. The concept of marketing evolved substantially from being focused on sales of a product
to having Customer satisfaction to be its focal point. Studies further revealed that there was a positive
correlation between customer satisfaction and Brand Loyalty.
The behavior in which a consumer keeps buying a product time and again instead of buying products
from other competitive companies is called Brand Loyalty. Brand loyalty can often be termed as
Customer Loyalty, Brand Commitment, Product Loyalty etc. Brand Loyalty is seen among consumers
when they realize that the product is better than the other products that are available in the market.
This affinity of a consumer towards a particular product is considered to be brand loyalty. Although,
this consumer behavior is not limited to a simple repetition of a purchase, there is also a psychological
reasoning behind the consumers affinity towards behavior.
The concept of Brand loyalty is defined in terms of 6 necessary and sufficient conditions. These
conditions are as follows:
1. Biased (i.e., nonrandom),
2. Behavioral response,
3. Expressed over time,
4. Some decision making unit,
5. With respect to 1 or more

The Dream Of The Rood And Beowulf
In Anglo Saxon literary works, the writing usually addressed to a Christian audience but yet all
commonly affirm the values of the warrior cultures in power in different matters. In the two pieces
The Dream of the Rood and Beowulf there are two powerful kings being represented that are set in
overlapping values that benefit their true courageous deeds. Both are considered good, but do they
mean the same thing in Christianity and paganism contexts? Specifically, the two pieces both fuse
together Christian and pagan ideals to show their two powerful kings represented in two completely
different manners. In the literary work Beowulf the character Beowulf is known as the king along with
many others. While in the literary work The Dream of the Rood Jesus Christ is known as the king
since he is directly referred to as a king several times throughout the work. The settings and time
periods play a huge role in the values and beliefs of Christianity and paganism and whether the values
are good or bad that are shown in the stories. Since Beowulf was set in Denmark and Geatland around
500 A.D. it shows us that the main factor of Beowulf was the values of paganism. But we don t
necessarily know if the paganism we re being shown is for the better. And so on for The Dream of the
Rood , set at the crucifixion, which is an obvious Christian element, so the entire story is mainly based
around the Christian values all Christians followed. More detail is needed about the stories to

Dhak The Causes Of Dhaka Is A Mega City
Dhaka is a mega city. More than twelve million people live here. Day by day the number is increasing
and most part of Dhaka is badly affected by the population growth. More than 7 hundred thousand
rickshaws ply or the city road, but only 75 thousand have legal number. This huge number of
rickshaws is creating traffic jam.
From time to time attempts are made to reduce the number, but the initiative usually produces no
results. The number of rickshaw pullers is huge. Almost there are no roads or streets or lanes free from
traffic jam. Traffic jam is obstructing trade and commerce. Illegal parking is another reason for traffic
jam. Cars, trucks and other vehicles are parked almost everywhere. Faulty traffic signaling system,
inadequate manpower and narrow road spaces and overtaking tendency of drivers create prolonged
traffic congestions and intensify sufferings of commuters keeping people motionless as well as
creating suffocating condition in the streets. So, alternative ways are urgently necessary to ease traffic
congested mega city Dhaka.
According to World Bank, the population of Dhaka would rise between 22 25 million by 2020. Dhaka
s present 13 million populations are growing at a fast rate. Dhaka is one of the most traffic congested
cities in the world with unusual low per capita income of people (about $380) most of whom can t
afford cars. As Bangladesh prospers, congestion will get even worse.

How Does A History Book Tell Lies Essay
History books tell lies. Now, you may be thinking, Well that is ridiculous. History books tell facts, and
facts cannot be lies , but they can. My history book tells me that the idea of Global Warming was just
a chinese conspiracy, but I know that is not true. It is now 2150, and it has been 133 years since
Donald Trump was the President of the United States. Trump s belief that climate change was just a
myth spread through homes like a wildfire, one that has still not been put out. I watch the news and

In 2150, the top 1% are still living a life of luxury while watching the rest of drown (in some cases
literally). The poor have been shipped to the states that are suffering from the most severe
consequences, while the rich have all gathered together to enjoy the states that are still somewhat
habitable. Luckily, my family and I have not yet been transported to our future home in Maine. Many
people have spoke about a revolution, but like the trip to Mars, I do not think it will occur in my
lifetime. Of course, there have been protest and people have tried to end the discrimination, but many
die quickly after reaching their new homes. My mom and I have thought about going into hiding, but
we do not know where we would go. The rich always find the poor wherever they hide. I have heard
talk of a group of people who will help those who are going to be shipped away soon, but unlike
global warming, the group probably is just a conspiracy. I sometimes think that maybe someone will
come help us, but then I again remember that hope is foolish and I return to my realistic way of living,
living in fear. If one day things do change, it will be a miracle, a miracle that was not caused by
humans since we can only cause

John Winthrop Case Analysis
In the early 17th century, a large religious group of Protestants desired to purify their spiritual
identities by reforming away from the Church of England. The Protestants revolutionized the religious
world into a strict belief group of Puritans. The Puritans desired to have religious freedom in their
ideal utopia of Christianity. The Puritans envisioned the New World as God s gift of grace and mercy.
As the years passed, the Puritans journeyed to the New World because they expressed God s
opportunity to build a Puritan society. The Puritan communities consisted of self reliance, simplicity,
obedience to God, and spiritual influence of God s scripture. Also, the Puritan communities relied on
the social and theoretical relationship with God ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Unlike Bradford and Winthrop, Bradstreet experienced God s gracious dealings in her love of her
family, nature, external conflicts, emotions, and difficult experiences in life. Throughout her life, she
questioned God s omnipresent because she felt out of place in the Puritan theology due to her
misunderstanding of scripture. In Bradford s words, Many times hath Satan troubled me concerning
the verity of the Scriptures, many times by atheism how I could know whether there was a God; I
never saw any miracles to confirm me, and those which I read of, how did I know but they were
feigned? (Bradstreet 125). Ā¬As time passed, Bradstreet reflected on her past sickness which developed
her realization of God s way of preparing the heart for the acceptance of His grace. She stated, So
usually thus it hath been with me that I have no sooner felt my heart out of order, but I have expected
correction for it, which most commonly hath been upon my own person in sickness, weakness, pains,
sometimes on my soul, in doubts and fear of God s displeasure and my sincerity towards Him;
(Bradstreet 124). During her spiritual detachment, she immersed herself in the beauty of nature and
her love for her family. Also, she realized the beauty of nature and love in God s

Canada And Japan Comparison Essay
You might think Canada and Japan would be very different! You are wrong, but also kind of right, I
guess. Why, you might be asking? Because ultimately, they have a lot in common, from the type of
government to the environment, but they also have a lot, and I mean A LOT, of differences, such as
beliefs, culture, and landscape. If you want some more in depth content about the two countries, well,
this project is for you! In these ten categories that I m giving you, there are some similarities and some
differences between Canada and Japan.

Culture. It may seem that talking direct and to the point might seem normal in Canada, but Japanese
people consider that impolite, so instead they talk soft and quietly. If you have ever been to Japan or
will go there, you will notice they are very quiet and soft. Although the Japanese do not prefer to talk
as dry wittingly and sarcastically as Canadians, physical and slapstick comedy is more popular with
the Japanese. In both countries, men and women have equal rights, but gender roles vary. In Canada,
men and women can both go to work (e.g., if women go to work, men stay back to take care of the
family), but in Japan the men do all the work and women leave their jobs after having children to be
housewives and take care of the children, although some women may go back to their jobs after their
children are a little bit more grown up. In Japan, most parents will want children to focus on getting
better academic grades, whereas in Canada, parents may be a little more free about homework and
will want their children to get out and play more. For example, In Japan, parents may get children to
work on homework for multiple hours, while most parents in Canada might want their children to go

Essay on Art and the Bible
Art and the Bible
Art and the Bible is an interesting approach at looking at art in all of its forms. It also answers the
question what is the place of art in the Christian life? Along with the question it tries to put a general
perspective on art. The different types of art that are mentioned are writing, painting, poetry, drama
and music. The question is answered by looking in the Bible and finding specific example regarding
art in all of its forms. The general perspectives on art are looked at in eleven points. I will also critique
this book and give my personal opinion. The first thing made clear in Art and the Bible is the Lordship
of Christ regarding man. The Bible makes four things very clear: God made the whole man; in ...

While Moses was on Sinai, God gave him specific instructions regarding the building of the
tabernacle. And in these instructions God clearly asked for beauty to be present in the tabernacle. God
commanded that art be constructed, not only in the Tabernacle but also in the Temple. There was no
utilitarian purpose for some of the art in the Tabernacle and in the Temple, it is just that God is very
interested in beauty. Also, God didn t say that the art had to be photogenic, God commanded that there
be blue, purple, and scarlet pomegranates adorning the skirts of the priest. Purple and scarlet are
natural colors of a pomegranate but blue is not. In other words art can be free, it is not constricted to
actuality in nature. There are many other instances in which God commanded art in the Temple and in
the Tabernacle.
The art that has been discussed so far has all had to do with God, but there is also secular art, and that
does not mean that it is wrong. There is secular art in the Bible, in 1 Kings 10 Solomon s throne is
described. His throne is adorned with ivory and the finest gold, and with a total of 14 lions, as statues
or real lions. This must have been a magnificent piece of secular art.
For even more uses of art look at the serpent of brass. God used this piece of art in a very symbolic
way. While the Israelites were wandering in the desert they started to complain and God sent fiery
serpents among the people and many of them died.

1750 marked a reconstruction era for the world. Also 1750 1850 was heavily focused on people s

Because of resistance, petitions, and boycotts that slowly turned violent, a war soon broke out. A new
government system was created as they fought. Woman and slaves fought in the war under false

finished (1775 83), a great portion of colonists started to attach the oppression of slaves and their own
oppression by the British, and to call for slavery s abolition. In 1782 Slavery was a big deal. The

Residential Sprinkler System Analysis
When we talk about land developers and building contractors in the residential market, we first have
to understand what target they are going after when dealing with water sprinklers. We see the
spectrum of housing specification going up all the time which is basically 1250 to 1750 square feet.
Then on the other hand we have these custom built homes, which run from around 2000 to no limit of
square feet according to the individual specification. Therefore, when we discuss putting in sprinklers
in a residential setting there are certain requirements which must be considered such as the market

Is Hamlet A Tragedy Essay
The play Hamlet is a tragedy written by William Shakespeare. The play is about a Prince who was
called from the school of Denmark to attend his father s funeral. He was shocked to see his Queen
mother already remarried to his uncle Claudius whom he suspects to be responsible for his father s
death. Hamlet then promised to take revenge on his father s murder.
The play Hamlet is considered as Aristotle s Poetics because it is a well written tragedy. According to
Aristotle, the most important element of the tragedy is plot and followed by others such as character,
diction, thought, song and spectacle. Aristotle defined tragedy as an imitation of an action that is
serious, complete and of a certain magnitude. Aristotelian tragedy is not a narrative ... Show more

Hamartia is a flaws or character s own error which brings a terrible result. For example, Hamlet
hesitates to kill his cruel uncle leads to bring his own destruction. Stabbing Polonius behind the
curtain and his painful action towards his lover Ophelia and declaring that she should be sent to
nunnery which seems to have lost his mind. This leads to his downfall. The second concept according
to Aristotle is Anagnorisis/Recognition which is when the character recognizes the hard truth. When
Hamlet returns to Denmark after his ship is hijacked by pirates, he learns that Ophelia has committed
suicide because of her madness and over her father s death, he realized his flaw of having mistakenly

Michael Pollan Agriculture
With concerns of climate change on the rise, a growing population, and a fear of being unable to
maintain water demands many of our daily practices are coming into question. Agriculture is not
immune to the criticisms, particularly with regard to fossil fuels. In the mid 1900s farming operations
started to exploit fertilizers and land to increase the yield of inexpensive grains. Such practices require
fossil fuels in immense quantities through fertilizers, pesticides, and transportation. However,
passionate debates often occur over the importance and where to go from here. Michael Pollan,
Katherine Mangu Ward, and the National Chicken Council vary widely in their opinions but it is likely
that no one direction is feasible.
Pollan believes that industrial ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Katherine Mangu Ward and representatives from The National Chicken Council (NCC) were vocal in
their rebuttals. Mangu Ward believes that Pollan s idealistic view of transformed American and world
agriculture is suited only for the luxury classes. It is improbable to expect the masses to spend
exurbanite amounts of money on organic local produce. This is an understandable concern. The lack
of labor required to supply the country with enough foodstuffs and the potential loss of choices
concern the NCC. The NCC agrees that the system is not perfect but nor is a local supply chain which
would be unable to provide consumers nonnative fruits and vegetables. With regard to the rearing of
chickens the council asserts that there is no evidence of antibiotic resistance, the flocks are kept
healthy and safe, and inexpensive. Local sustainable methods are assumed to be impractical for
national production, requiring vast swaths of land and excessive carbon emissions. Not to mention the
expenses. Straying from the current system presents many economic and social challenges. Do these
difficulties undermine the conceivable

Rhetorical Analysis Of A Hanging
In A Hanging, George Orwell utilizes the rhetorical appeals of pathos and ethos in historical context to
convince the audience that the unjustifiable execution of a person is not only barbaric, but unethical.
This is successful because of his sensitive word choice and sympathetic tone. Through his cleaver use
of language techniques and word selection, Orwell evokes the reader s sympathy for the prisoner s
struggles. He repeatedly shows that the prisoners are treated like animals. In the opening lines of the
essay, the setting is described immediately highlights the inhumane conditions in which the prisoners
are contained in. We notice this when the author is describing the cells, he states, we are waiting
outside the condemned cells, row of sheds fronted with double bars, like small animal cages (Orwell
93). It is evident again when he is describing the way it took six guards to escort the prisoner. He says
it was like men handling a fish which is still alive and may jump out of the water (Orwell 94). The
sprouting moustache, absurdly too big for his body (Orwell 93), and a puny wisp of a man (Orwell 93)
suggests malnourishment and neglect among this prisoner, but the reader can infer that this treatment
is spread out amongst all the prisoners. In contrast with this sickly man, he describes the prison guards
as tall Indian warriors (Orwell 93) and even describes one guard in particular as a fat Dravidian
(Orwell 94). The details of these well fed men in comparison to this ill man fuels a feeling of
sympathy towards the prisoner. He provides these details to evoke sympathy for the prisoner to prove
that killing a man is unethical. Through the appeal of pathos, we can empathize with George Orwell.
Orwell never states in the essay as to why the Hindu man was to be hanged. He does not want the
reader to form an opinion on whether or not the prisoner should be executed or not. Instead, he builds
his essay in a way in which he directs us to a path that only argues that taking a life is wrong, no
matter the crime. When he says till that moment, I had never realized what it means to destroy a
healthy conscious man (Orwell 95), the reader is able to empathize with him. Before he says this, the

Questions On The Banking System
Today s banking system very much gives us the hint about the banking system say
20 to 25 years from now. Digitization promises to automate and improve many
banking processes. Yet it s not without peril: customer demands and expectations
are increasing, and technology is fuelling the emergence of significant new
competitors. (www.mckinsey.com)
Banking Transitions Branch banks have historically been the front line of the
customer relationship. But at a time when more than 50 percent of Americans bank
online to some degree, branch banks are challenged to stay relevant.
Customers branch visits have decreased over the past decade as more financial
transactions migrate from the branch to mobile and online channels. Branch banks
are also expensive to operate. As customers rapidly adopt online modes of
banking, branches will struggle to stay profitable using their current model. Banks
are inventing new ways for the branch to cater to certain customer interactions.
Branch banks of the future will focus less on transaction oriented business and
more toward sales, service, and consultancy.
The Likely Face Of The Future Banks

The American Liberal Democratic Values Essay
American Liberal Democratic Values
I. The definitions of democracy and liberalism
Liberalism and democracy are two different concepts, liberalism is a political philosophy which is
based on the principle of individual freedom, it calls for guarantees of the rights of the individual,
including freedom from arbitrary authority, freedom of religion, the right to own and exchange private
property, rights to equal opportunity in health care, education, and employment, and the rights to
political participation and representation. While democracy is a set of political procedures involving
participation and competition. Most democracies are liberal democracies to some degree. because
political participation, competition, and accountability are perhaps the best guarantees that individual
freedoms will be preserved, thus the terms liberal and democracy often go hand in hand.
II. Liberal democracy the U.S. goal
U.S. policies aim to boost the spread of liberal democratic values. In the nineteenth century, the U.S.
didn t play an important role in global governance, as the geographical reach of the United States
political influence expanded, liberal democracy promotion turned into a major part of U.S. foreign
policy, the aim of promoting democracy abroad had been a core element in how the United States
exercises its international power. Moral Universalism , introduced by America s project of liberalism
during the twentieth century, is an ideology based on the liberal

Posttructitalism And Postcolonialism
Although theory may have a reputation for being disconnected from reality, it is grounded in everyday
thinking that helps us plan and understand the actions we take in our everyday social lives (Sears,
2010, pp. 16 17). Accordingly, theories like poststructuralism attempt to explain these aspects of
human society. In this paper, after explaining the origins and major tenets of poststructuralism, I will
argue that a poststructural lens is most conducive to a critical analysis of the causes and effects of
oppression. I will demonstrate this by discussing how discourses produce and maintain power
relations, how the effects of these oppressive relations are channeled through a complex network of
power, and how deconstruction offers pathways for challenging oppression. Poststructuralism
Poststructuralism is derived from the theoretical work of Ferdinand de Saussure, a structural linguist
who argued that language does not simply reflect reality, but constructs the things it describes (Healy,
2005, p. 197). Poststructuralism differs from other postmodernist theories in that it is primarily
concerned with the influence of language on power, knowledge and identity (Healy, 2005, p. 197). In
contrast, postmodernism is moreover concerned with rejecting modernist truths, such as rationality
being the way to progress (Healy, 2005, p. 197). Yet another post theory, postcolonialism is focused on
interrogating and responding to the legacies of European colonization (Healy, 2005, p. 198).

Essay On Student Loan Crisis
The student loan crisis is worse than ever and more people are leaving college thousands of dollars in
debt before they even have a job or any type of income. With the rising cost of college and living
expenses, people are taking out more student loans for higher amounts, leaving more people in an
undesirable amount of debt and essentially trapping them. There s currently no way to get rid of
federal student debt other than paying off the loans. (Quinton, Sophie, why you might be paying
student loans till you retire). Because student loans are not like other loans they will not disappear if
you declare bankruptcy, so the borrower is forced to pay them back even if it means you cannot afford
to do so. There is not just one thing that is causing the student loan crisis this is a combination of
many things that are being overlooked or ignored. We need to look into the reasoning to determine
why this is happening, what problems it is causing and then come up with a solution that can stop the
problem. Student loans are a great tool to use if you need financial help for college, but one must be
careful and consider the consequences and understand what a student loan is and how to deal with
them to make a responsible decision about their financial future. Before we can go any further, we
need to first define what exactly a student loan is, and what student loans can entail. A student loan is
defined as A type of loan designed to help students pay for post secondary education and the
associated fees . Student loans are marvelous and a supportive tool for college students, but people
don t realize that everything they borrow needs to be paid back with interest. Five years ago in 2012
71% of students graduating four year colleges had student loans and the average indebtedness of a
college graduate was $29,400 . If you compare that to 1993 the average indebtedness of a college
graduate was $9,450 (Average Student Loan Debt, 1993 2012). In only 19 years there was a $19,950
dollar difference in the averages. Those numbers do not include the interest that the student will have
to pay back over time. All of those factors are just a small part of what makes up student debt but it is
good to have a general

Theme Of Love In Siddhartha
Love comes in a variety of different ways, feelings, states, and attitudes that range from interpersonal
affection to pleasure. It can be an emotional attraction and personal attachment. It can also represent
human kindness, compassion, and affection. There is not one single definition of love. We all know
the feeling of loving multiple people in multiple different ways. We love our parents differently than
we love our children, we love our children differently than we love our one night stand, and we love
our one night stand differently than we love our significant other. People show and receive love in
varied ways, all distinctly different from one another. In Siddhartha, Hermann Hesse displays love as a

In loving a friend, we have to let them go when they need to go and say what needs to be said even
when they do not want to hear it. Hesse quickly displays this type of love in the relationship between
Siddhartha and Govinda. By his side lived Govinda his shadow, walking the same path, submitting
himself to the same exertions (15). As Siddhartha counties his journey, Govinda makes the choice to
live on his own to follow the ways of life as a Shramana. As a friend, we always want to see the best
for each other, Siddhartha quickly comes to realization that though he never thought Govinda would
go on his own that is the best for him:
Then he spoke gently in a voice without a trace of scorn: Govinda, my friend, now you have taken the
step, now you have chosen the path. Always, o Govinda, you have been my friend, always you have
walked one step behind me. Often I have thought: Will Govinda never once take a step alone, without
me, from his own soul? See, now you have become a man and you yourself are choosing your path.
May you walk it to the end, o my friend. May you fine

Immigration And Illegal Immigration
During our most recent Presidential election, Donald Trump brought up the topic of illegal
immigration in most of his debates. Stating that he would build a wall to separate Mexico and the
United States because of his belief that immigration is hurting our society. Many of his voters also
believe this as the truth. Carrying the idea that illegal immigration lessens the economy, burdens our
Government institution and is unfair to those who came to America legally. However, undocumented
immigrants carry much more positive affirmations than negative ones for the United States.
The United States economy was originally built on the backs of immigrants. In today s economy,
illegal immigrants build a great foundation to help bring out the best for other citizens. Supplying a
workforce for jobs that other Americans may not want. Cleaning, house care, lawn work, dog walking,
construction, and so on. Seeing it from the other perspective, it could be thought that illegal
immigrants are stealing these jobs away from Americans. However, immigrants who participate in
these jobs help stimulate the economy. Working in jobs that create time for whoever hired them. This
allows whoever the individual is to be more productive or to do whatever they want with the saved
amount of time they have. The economy is stimulated by this as the saying the more time; the more
money said person could make. Also, participation by immigrants creates more revenue for the
Government. As stated by the chief

Family Systems Theories In The Other Woman
Tangled Web: The Beginning
Glistening spider webs interlaced between the members of the family anthropomorphizes the reactions
that occur within a family system. Reverberation befalls the entire web when one person interacts with
another. Throughout the films, The Other woman, directed by Don Roos, scenes demonstrate the
relations of Family Systems Theories such as differentiation of self, family origin and destabilization
of the old structure, Circumplex Model, content and abstract process, power control, and triangulation.
Enmeshed Reactivity
Emotional blowups are witnessed repetitively throughout the film due to enmeshed relationships.
Emilia (Natalie Portman) demonstrates impulsive, emotional reactions especially when William brings
up her deceased child Isabelle. The Essentials of Family Therapy, states that differentiation is the
capacity to think and reflect, to not respond automatically to emotional pressure (Nichols, 2014, p.
71). She was unable to separate her emotions about the loss of her child. Emilia s impulsive,
emotional responses William shut up after he recommended they sell the baby s things is a powerful
example of the web strands being intertangled.
Furthermore, the Bowen Center for the Study of Family communicates that, people with a poorly
differentiated self depend so heavily on the acceptance and approval of others that either they quickly
adjust what they think, say, and do to please others or they dogmatically proclaim what others should

most dominant among other forms, comprising 83% of natural strontium, where in additional three
stable isotopes and their relative abundance are strontium 84 (0.6%), strontium 86 (9.9%), and
strontium 87 (7.0%). Strontium is available ubiquitous vitally as as celestite (SrSO4) and strontianite
(SrCO3), and it comprises about 0.025% of the earth s crust. There are 16 major radioactive isotopes
of strontium, but only strontium 90 has a half life sufficiently long (29 years). In comparison with half
lives of remaining strontium radionuclides are fewer than 65 days. Strontium 90 decays to yttrium 90

The Importance Of Effective To Police Use Of Force
Law enforcement agencies have policies regarding use of force that need reform. There is concern for
the balance of ethical decision making by police officers. There is also an equal concern for the rights
and value of life of civilians along with those of officers. Maintaining stress free standards for
employed law enforcement is detrimental to police use of force directives. Police organizations can
prevent and correct their citizen interaction without the use of excessive force. It is imperative that a
process be found that could identify potential issues prior to use of force events occurring. Measures
can be taken early by police agencies to avoid officers initiating criminal misconduct. Police training
and development of communication techniques will provide the reform needed to subvert the idea of
an excessive use of force police culture. Logic should be administered alongside reasoning prior to the
use of any force, specifically deadly force. There is no reasonable explanation for excessive use of
force so it should be prevented instead of authorized socially and accepted. Most of the police
operations that incite negative outcomes are preventable with the implementation of appropriate
training. In the article by Gross (2017) he discusses several accounts of the excessive use of force by
police in America. Some of these accounts have changed some laws, i.e. The Supreme Court case of
Graham v. Connor (1989). The facts of the case were that a diabetic man named

  • 2. Mary Shelley s Frankenstein Frankenstein: The Individual and Society The creature s ambiguous humanity has long puzzled readers of Mary Shelley s Frankenstein. In this essay I will focus on how Frankenstein can be used to explore two philosophical topics, social contract theory, and gender roles, in light of ideas from Shelley s two philosophical parents, William Godwin, and Mary Wollstonecraft. What Does it Mean to be Human? Individual and Society One historically important tradition in social and political philosophy is called Social Contract Theory. It gives a way of thinking about what it means to be human, raising fundamental questions such as: what is human nature, in itself, apart from society? Are people fundamentally ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Mary Shelley s father, William Godwin (1756 1836), was a well known political anarchist. In Enquiry Concerning Political Justice (1793), Godwin argued that government is fundamentally unjust, and functions primarily to uphold economic inequality between rich and poor. Godwin was highly critical of social contract theory; the conversation between Victor and the creature regarding a mate exemplifies several of Godwin s criticisms (pp. 97 100). We could read this passage as a social contract between Victor and the creature: if Victor makes a mate, the creature promises never to return. Godwin asked why parties to the social contract should trust each other to keep their promises; Victor agrees to the bargain, but didn t trust the creature to keep his promise, predicting he would return in revenge. Their bargain sounds more like blackmail than a contractual arrangement. Godwin also worried about future generations who were not parties to the original agreement, and had never promised to abide by a government s laws. Victor was concerned about this; realizing that even if the creature kept his end of the agreement, the female had made no such promise. He had sworn to quit the neighborhood of man, and hide himself in deserts; but she had not; and she, who in all probability was to become a thinking and reasoning animal, might refuse to comply with a compact made before her creation (114). Compare And Contrast Indus River Valley Civilization Although the Indus River Valley and Yellow River civilizations emerged close to the same time, and upon the same continent, they didn t advance in the same way. While there are many similarities that should have caused for relatable civilizations, the Indus River Valley civilization quickly advanced with written records, ceramics, copper, an advanced sewer system, highly populated cities, and their city was built in a grid like pattern. However, the Yellow River civilization had some advancements like clay pottery, bronze and wooden tools, and silk clothing, but it doesn t appear to have made fierce progress like the Indus River. This likely had to do with the rivers they developed by and trade. In continuation, a possible factor of the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 6. Declassified Chairman Mao Declassified Chairman Mao is a documentary that traces Mao Zedong s various stages in his life to become China s most iconic and god like leader. His belief that China must be destroyed in order for the country to be rebuilt, killed millions and ravaged the country in the process. The first part covers his early life up to the Cultural Revolution (1949 1966). The second half covers the Cultural Revolution up until his time of death (1966 1976) followed by the emergence of a new China and new leadership. Some of the important events and people that are covered in the documentary include: the Great Leap Forward, Mao s loss of power in the Communist Party, Mao s wife Jiang Qing, and her role in helping Mao get back into power, Mao s philosophy that led to the Cultural Revolution, Mao s Red Guard , Lin Biao s rise and fall, the visit of President Nixon, the rise of Deng Xiao Ping, Mao s death and the arrest of the Gang of Four including the trial of Mao s wife, Jiang Qing. ... I also knew little of Mao s fourth wife Jiang Qing and the fact that she was not only previously an actress, but also her behind the scenes role in creating all the propaganda films during the Cultural ... They believe that with the internet at their fingertips there is no need for a college education, but college education provides more than just information for their students. College is about independence and learning how to take charge of his or her life. It is an opportunity for students to learn about their future career. Students learn about intriguing subjects, how to make lifelong friends, and how to spend valuable time with people outside of his or her social circle. Students have the rest of their lives to go to work every day, but college gives them a chance to make connections, build networks, and get to know new people who have a different life experiences. Many people believe that the time and cost of a college education no longer outweighs the benefits; however, acquiring a college degree gives students an opportunity to find their dream job and to earn more money in the future. • 8. Sister Moon Religion The movie Brother Sun, Sister Moon tells about St.Francis s early life, conversion, and religious order that he founded with the emphasis of living as beggars and relying on the mercy of others as Jesus did. In the beginning of the movie, it shows a wounded man in a hospital, this was Francis after he survived the war. When he regains his health, he goes home to his wealthy family. After seeing all the materialism there is in the world, Francis wants to get rid of all his possessions and live as the beggars do so that he would be able to find true happiness in living a simple life. When we see that Francis has survived the war, we know that due to his hallucinations that he probably had suffered from some form of PTSD, he felt incredibly confused and unsure as to why he was still alive and his friends were not. With this realization, he was probably upset that he ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It presented Francis as person who was always hungering for something more in his life and seeking fulfillment and holiness. By watching Francis s formation in the faith, we can see him grow into the saint we see and pray to today. He is known for being a person who is completely selfless and is willing to give up everything he had to live as Jesus did. What I personally learned from this movie is that I was able to witness the life of someone who always lived for others and also had the determination and courage to stick to what he believed in and to stand up for those beliefs. By setting this example, he attracted people to follow him on his religious path and to join his group. This following that St.Francis had, it soon grew into an entire order of monks known today as the Franciscan monks. Francis is an example to all of us not just because of how he lived his life but how we touched the lives of other people. • 9. Customer Loyalty And Brand Loyalty Essay The term Brand Loyalty also called as Customer Loyalty has been in the business industry since a very long time as a model to be used in conducting business. But it wasn t until the mid to late 1900 s that the term was actually given its due importance by making it a vital part of advertising and marketing. The concept of marketing evolved substantially from being focused on sales of a product to having Customer satisfaction to be its focal point. Studies further revealed that there was a positive correlation between customer satisfaction and Brand Loyalty. The behavior in which a consumer keeps buying a product time and again instead of buying products from other competitive companies is called Brand Loyalty. Brand loyalty can often be termed as Customer Loyalty, Brand Commitment, Product Loyalty etc. Brand Loyalty is seen among consumers when they realize that the product is better than the other products that are available in the market. This affinity of a consumer towards a particular product is considered to be brand loyalty. Although, this consumer behavior is not limited to a simple repetition of a purchase, there is also a psychological reasoning behind the consumers affinity towards behavior. The concept of Brand loyalty is defined in terms of 6 necessary and sufficient conditions. These conditions are as follows: 1. Biased (i.e., nonrandom), 2. Behavioral response, 3. Expressed over time, 4. Some decision making unit, 5. With respect to 1 or more ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 10. The Dream Of The Rood And Beowulf In Anglo Saxon literary works, the writing usually addressed to a Christian audience but yet all commonly affirm the values of the warrior cultures in power in different matters. In the two pieces The Dream of the Rood and Beowulf there are two powerful kings being represented that are set in overlapping values that benefit their true courageous deeds. Both are considered good, but do they mean the same thing in Christianity and paganism contexts? Specifically, the two pieces both fuse together Christian and pagan ideals to show their two powerful kings represented in two completely different manners. In the literary work Beowulf the character Beowulf is known as the king along with many others. While in the literary work The Dream of the Rood Jesus Christ is known as the king since he is directly referred to as a king several times throughout the work. The settings and time periods play a huge role in the values and beliefs of Christianity and paganism and whether the values are good or bad that are shown in the stories. Since Beowulf was set in Denmark and Geatland around 500 A.D. it shows us that the main factor of Beowulf was the values of paganism. But we don t necessarily know if the paganism we re being shown is for the better. And so on for The Dream of the Rood , set at the crucifixion, which is an obvious Christian element, so the entire story is mainly based around the Christian values all Christians followed. More detail is needed about the stories to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 11. Dhak The Causes Of Dhaka Is A Mega City Dhaka is a mega city. More than twelve million people live here. Day by day the number is increasing and most part of Dhaka is badly affected by the population growth. More than 7 hundred thousand rickshaws ply or the city road, but only 75 thousand have legal number. This huge number of rickshaws is creating traffic jam. From time to time attempts are made to reduce the number, but the initiative usually produces no results. The number of rickshaw pullers is huge. Almost there are no roads or streets or lanes free from traffic jam. Traffic jam is obstructing trade and commerce. Illegal parking is another reason for traffic jam. Cars, trucks and other vehicles are parked almost everywhere. Faulty traffic signaling system, inadequate manpower and narrow road spaces and overtaking tendency of drivers create prolonged traffic congestions and intensify sufferings of commuters keeping people motionless as well as creating suffocating condition in the streets. So, alternative ways are urgently necessary to ease traffic congested mega city Dhaka. According to World Bank, the population of Dhaka would rise between 22 25 million by 2020. Dhaka s present 13 million populations are growing at a fast rate. Dhaka is one of the most traffic congested cities in the world with unusual low per capita income of people (about $380) most of whom can t afford cars. • 12. How Does A History Book Tell Lies Essay History books tell lies. Now, you may be thinking, Well that is ridiculous. History books tell facts, and facts cannot be lies , but they can. My history book tells me that the idea of Global Warming was just a chinese conspiracy, but I know that is not true. It is now 2150, and it has been 133 years since Donald Trump was the President of the United States. Trump s belief that climate change was just a myth spread through homes like a wildfire, one that has still not been put out. The poor have been shipped to the states that are suffering from the most severe consequences, while the rich have all gathered together to enjoy the states that are still somewhat habitable. Luckily, my family and I have not yet been transported to our future home in Maine. Many people have spoke about a revolution, but like the trip to Mars, I do not think it will occur in my lifetime. Of course, there have been protest and people have tried to end the discrimination, but many die quickly after reaching their new homes. My mom and I have thought about going into hiding, but we do not know where we would go. The rich always find the poor wherever they hide. I have heard talk of a group of people who will help those who are going to be shipped away soon, but unlike global warming, the group probably is just a conspiracy. I sometimes think that maybe someone will come help us, but then I again remember that hope is foolish and I return to my realistic way of living, living in fear. • 13. John Winthrop Case Analysis In the early 17th century, a large religious group of Protestants desired to purify their spiritual identities by reforming away from the Church of England. The Protestants revolutionized the religious world into a strict belief group of Puritans. The Puritans desired to have religious freedom in their ideal utopia of Christianity. The Puritans envisioned the New World as God s gift of grace and mercy. As the years passed, the Puritans journeyed to the New World because they expressed God s opportunity to build a Puritan society. The Puritan communities consisted of self reliance, simplicity, obedience to God, and spiritual influence of God s scripture. Also, the Puritan communities relied on the social and theoretical relationship with God ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Unlike Bradford and Winthrop, Bradstreet experienced God s gracious dealings in her love of her family, nature, external conflicts, emotions, and difficult experiences in life. Throughout her life, she questioned God s omnipresent because she felt out of place in the Puritan theology due to her misunderstanding of scripture. In Bradford s words, Many times hath Satan troubled me concerning the verity of the Scriptures, many times by atheism how I could know whether there was a God; I never saw any miracles to confirm me, and those which I read of, how did I know but they were feigned? (Bradstreet 125). Ā¬As time passed, Bradstreet reflected on her past sickness which developed her realization of God s way of preparing the heart for the acceptance of His grace. She stated, So usually thus it hath been with me that I have no sooner felt my heart out of order, but I have expected correction for it, which most commonly hath been upon my own person in sickness, weakness, pains, sometimes on my soul, in doubts and fear of God s displeasure and my sincerity towards Him; (Bradstreet 124). Because ultimately, they have a lot in common, from the type of government to the environment, but they also have a lot, and I mean A LOT, of differences, such as beliefs, culture, and landscape. If you want some more in depth content about the two countries, well, this project is for you! In these ten categories that I m giving you, there are some similarities and some differences between Canada and Japan. 1. Urbanization, living areas, and housing. It may seem that talking direct and to the point might seem normal in Canada, but Japanese people consider that impolite, so instead they talk soft and quietly. If you have ever been to Japan or will go there, you will notice they are very quiet and soft. Although the Japanese do not prefer to talk as dry wittingly and sarcastically as Canadians, physical and slapstick comedy is more popular with the Japanese. In both countries, men and women have equal rights, but gender roles vary. In Canada, men and women can both go to work (e.g., if women go to work, men stay back to take care of the family), but in Japan the men do all the work and women leave their jobs after having children to be housewives and take care of the children, although some women may go back to their jobs after their children are a little bit more grown up. In Japan, most parents will want children to focus on getting better academic grades, whereas in Canada, parents may be a little more free about homework and will want their children to get out and play more. • 16. Essay on Art and the Bible Art and the Bible Art and the Bible is an interesting approach at looking at art in all of its forms. It also answers the question what is the place of art in the Christian life? Along with the question it tries to put a general perspective on art. The different types of art that are mentioned are writing, painting, poetry, drama and music. The question is answered by looking in the Bible and finding specific example regarding art in all of its forms. The general perspectives on art are looked at in eleven points. I will also critique this book and give my personal opinion. The first thing made clear in Art and the Bible is the Lordship of Christ regarding man. The Bible makes four things very clear: God made the whole man; in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... While Moses was on Sinai, God gave him specific instructions regarding the building of the tabernacle. And in these instructions God clearly asked for beauty to be present in the tabernacle. God commanded that art be constructed, not only in the Tabernacle but also in the Temple. There was no utilitarian purpose for some of the art in the Tabernacle and in the Temple, it is just that God is very interested in beauty. Also, God didn t say that the art had to be photogenic, God commanded that there be blue, purple, and scarlet pomegranates adorning the skirts of the priest. Purple and scarlet are natural colors of a pomegranate but blue is not. In other words art can be free, it is not constricted to actuality in nature. There are many other instances in which God commanded art in the Temple and in the Tabernacle. The art that has been discussed so far has all had to do with God, but there is also secular art, and that does not mean that it is wrong. There is secular art in the Bible, in 1 Kings 10 Solomon s throne is described. His throne is adorned with ivory and the finest gold, and with a total of 14 lions, as statues or real lions. This must have been a magnificent piece of secular art. For even more uses of art look at the serpent of brass. God used this piece of art in a very symbolic way. While the Israelites were wandering in the desert they started to complain and God sent fiery serpents among the people and many of them died. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 29. Rhetorical Analysis Of A Hanging In A Hanging, George Orwell utilizes the rhetorical appeals of pathos and ethos in historical context to convince the audience that the unjustifiable execution of a person is not only barbaric, but unethical. This is successful because of his sensitive word choice and sympathetic tone. Through his cleaver use of language techniques and word selection, Orwell evokes the reader s sympathy for the prisoner s struggles. He repeatedly shows that the prisoners are treated like animals. In the opening lines of the essay, the setting is described immediately highlights the inhumane conditions in which the prisoners are contained in. We notice this when the author is describing the cells, he states, we are waiting outside the condemned cells, row of sheds fronted with double bars, like small animal cages (Orwell 93). It is evident again when he is describing the way it took six guards to escort the prisoner. He says it was like men handling a fish which is still alive and may jump out of the water (Orwell 94). The sprouting moustache, absurdly too big for his body (Orwell 93), and a puny wisp of a man (Orwell 93) suggests malnourishment and neglect among this prisoner, but the reader can infer that this treatment is spread out amongst all the prisoners. In contrast with this sickly man, he describes the prison guards as tall Indian warriors (Orwell 93) and even describes one guard in particular as a fat Dravidian (Orwell 94). The details of these well fed men in comparison to this ill man fuels a feeling of sympathy towards the prisoner. He provides these details to evoke sympathy for the prisoner to prove that killing a man is unethical. Through the appeal of pathos, we can empathize with George Orwell. Orwell never states in the essay as to why the Hindu man was to be hanged. He does not want the reader to form an opinion on whether or not the prisoner should be executed or not. Instead, he builds his essay in a way in which he directs us to a path that only argues that taking a life is wrong, no matter the crime. When he says till that moment, I had never realized what it means to destroy a healthy conscious man (Orwell 95), the reader is able to empathize with him. Before he says this, the reader ... • 35. Posttructitalism And Postcolonialism Although theory may have a reputation for being disconnected from reality, it is grounded in everyday thinking that helps us plan and understand the actions we take in our everyday social lives (Sears, 2010, pp. 16 17). Accordingly, theories like poststructuralism attempt to explain these aspects of human society. In this paper, after explaining the origins and major tenets of poststructuralism, I will argue that a poststructural lens is most conducive to a critical analysis of the causes and effects of oppression. I will demonstrate this by discussing how discourses produce and maintain power relations, how the effects of these oppressive relations are channeled through a complex network of power, and how deconstruction offers pathways for challenging oppression. Poststructuralism Poststructuralism is derived from the theoretical work of Ferdinand de Saussure, a structural linguist who argued that language does not simply reflect reality, but constructs the things it describes (Healy, 2005, p. 197). Poststructuralism differs from other postmodernist theories in that it is primarily concerned with the influence of language on power, knowledge and identity (Healy, 2005, p. 197). In contrast, postmodernism is moreover concerned with rejecting modernist truths, such as rationality being the way to progress (Healy, 2005, p. 197). Yet another post theory, postcolonialism is focused on interrogating and responding to the legacies of European colonization (Healy, 2005, p. 198). ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 36. Essay On Student Loan Crisis The student loan crisis is worse than ever and more people are leaving college thousands of dollars in debt before they even have a job or any type of income. With the rising cost of college and living expenses, people are taking out more student loans for higher amounts, leaving more people in an undesirable amount of debt and essentially trapping them. There s currently no way to get rid of federal student debt other than paying off the loans. (Quinton, Sophie, why you might be paying student loans till you retire). Because student loans are not like other loans they will not disappear if you declare bankruptcy, so the borrower is forced to pay them back even if it means you cannot afford to do so. There is not just one thing that is causing the student loan crisis this is a combination of many things that are being overlooked or ignored. We need to look into the reasoning to determine why this is happening, what problems it is causing and then come up with a solution that can stop the problem. Student loans are a great tool to use if you need financial help for college, but one must be careful and consider the consequences and understand what a student loan is and how to deal with them to make a responsible decision about their financial future. Before we can go any further, we need to first define what exactly a student loan is, and what student loans can entail. A student loan is defined as A type of loan designed to help students pay for post secondary education and the associated fees . Student loans are marvelous and a supportive tool for college students, but people don t realize that everything they borrow needs to be paid back with interest. Five years ago in 2012 71% of students graduating four year colleges had student loans and the average indebtedness of a college graduate was $29,400 . If you compare that to 1993 the average indebtedness of a college graduate was $9,450 (Average Student Loan Debt, 1993 2012). In only 19 years there was a $19,950 dollar difference in the averages. In today s economy, illegal immigrants build a great foundation to help bring out the best for other citizens. Supplying a workforce for jobs that other Americans may not want. Cleaning, house care, lawn work, dog walking, construction, and so on. Seeing it from the other perspective, it could be thought that illegal immigrants are stealing these jobs away from Americans. This allows whoever the individual is to be more productive or to do whatever they want with the saved amount of time they have. Enmeshed Reactivity Emotional blowups are witnessed repetitively throughout the film due to enmeshed relationships. Emilia (Natalie Portman) demonstrates impulsive, emotional reactions especially when William brings up her deceased child Isabelle. The Essentials of Family Therapy, states that differentiation is the capacity to think and reflect, to not respond automatically to emotional pressure (Nichols, 2014, p. 71). She was unable to separate her emotions about the loss of her child. Emilia s impulsive, emotional responses William shut up after he recommended they sell the baby s things is a powerful example of the web strands being intertangled. Furthermore, the Bowen Center for the Study of Family communicates that, people with a poorly differentiated self depend so heavily on the acceptance and approval of others that either they quickly adjust what they think, say, and do to please others or they dogmatically proclaim what others should be ... • 40. How Strontium Is A Chemical Element With Symbol Sr And... Strontium is a chemical element with symbol Sr and atomic number (protons in nucleus) 38 and atomic weight 88.1 It is a soft, silver gray metal, and has physical and chemical properties like to Calcium and Barium. It is available as four stable isotopes ubiquitously (Isotopes are differ in forms of an by number of protons in nucleus but possess a variable number of neutrons.) Strontium 88 is the most dominant among other forms, comprising 83% of natural strontium, where in additional three stable isotopes and their relative abundance are strontium 84 (0.6%), strontium 86 (9.9%), and strontium 87 (7.0%). Strontium is available ubiquitous vitally as as celestite (SrSO4) and strontianite (SrCO3), and it comprises about 0.025% of the earth s crust. There are 16 major radioactive isotopes of strontium, but only strontium 90 has a half life sufficiently long (29 years). In comparison with half lives of remaining strontium radionuclides are fewer than 65 days. Strontium 90 decays to yttrium 90 by decaying a beta particle, and yttrium 90 decays by decaying a energetic beta particle with a half life of 64 hours to zirconium 90. The key health concerns for strontium 90 are associated to the energetic beta particle from yttrium 90.2 Strontium 90 is a pure Ī² emitter, produced in nuclear ļ¬ssion of (235U and 239Pu ļ¬ssion reaction). When an atom of uranium 235 (or other fissile nuclide) fissions, usually splits asymmetric into two large fragments fission products possessing mass ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 41. The Importance Of Effective To Police Use Of Force Law enforcement agencies have policies regarding use of force that need reform. There is concern for the balance of ethical decision making by police officers. There is also an equal concern for the rights and value of life of civilians along with those of officers. Maintaining stress free standards for employed law enforcement is detrimental to police use of force directives. Police organizations can prevent and correct their citizen interaction without the use of excessive force. It is imperative that a process be found that could identify potential issues prior to use of force events occurring. Measures can be taken early by police agencies to avoid officers initiating criminal misconduct. Police training and development of communication techniques will provide the reform needed to subvert the idea of an excessive use of force police culture. Logic should be administered alongside reasoning prior to the use of any force, specifically deadly force. There is no reasonable explanation for excessive use of force so it should be prevented instead of authorized socially and accepted. Most of the police operations that incite negative outcomes are preventable with the implementation of appropriate training. In the article by Gross (2017) he discusses several accounts of the excessive use of force by police in America. Some of these accounts have changed some laws, i.e. The Supreme Court case of Graham v. Connor (1989). The facts of the case were that a diabetic man named ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
