Pablo Picasso was a Spanish painter born in 1881 in Málaga. He studied art in several Spanish cities before moving to Paris, where he initially experienced a sad and impoverished period known as his Blue Period. After falling in love, he entered an more optimistic period using warmer colors known as his Rose Period. Later, he began painting in the Cubist style using geometric shapes, collaborating with friend George Braque.
