Pablo Picasso was born in 1881 in Málaga, Spain. He showed an early talent for art, drawing bulls and doves by age 9. Picasso studied art formally but was more excited by visiting Paris in 1900, where he was inspired by new artistic movements and began experimenting with different styles. His most famous work is 1937's Guernica, a massive black-and-white painting depicting the suffering of war to protest the bombing of Guernica during the Spanish Civil War. Picasso had a long and passionate career as an artist until his death in 1973 in France at the age of 92.
