This paper reviews and compares two distributed wireless reprogramming protocols, SDRP and ISDRP, emphasizing their efficiency, reliability, and security in wireless sensor networks. ISDRP improves upon SDRP by optimizing propagation delay and energy overhead through identity-based cryptography and a heap sort algorithm for key distribution. Experimental results indicate ISDRP demonstrates superior performance in terms of throughput and reduced propagation delays compared to SDRP.
