Power is not without its temptations. At one time or another many of us have harbored a secret fantasy
to club that lethargic laggard between the eyes so he will understand what needs to get done. Some
upper level managers with a reservoir of power could actually do so. History and literature, including

Mr. Hooper paid his last respects to a deceased young maiden in her casket, the veil hung straight
down from his forehead (Hawthorne 255), and a superstitious woman claimed the corpse had slightly
shuttered (Hawthorne 255). When the minister placed the black piece of cloth over his face, he

According to Garry Potter, PhD, crime control policy is grounded into two conservative traditions in
the United States. Both conservatives are assumptions that assumes that classified traditions are of
social organizations are established around values that have a positive impact on society, while the

control is conservative; which is based on two reasons. First, it is the attempt to control and prevent

prevented or punished for a solution to the problem of crime. However, according to Gottfredson and
Hirschi (1995) crime control policy in the United States is unguided by theory. Programs that sow

administrative criminology due to comparison of the crime and the nature of the crime. However, once
theory is established; the government is responsible for controlling crime according to Hirschi (1993).
When noting crime control policy there are discussion on why it is needed. Multiple categories must

Why didn t you put on some sunscreen? What were you thinking? These are some of the questions
that arose on a long summer road trip. During the summer of 2016, my family and I went on a three
week road trip starting in Chestertown, NY, and going as far west as Yellowstone National Park. The
first stop on the trip was Niagara Falls. We went at night, and the water was lit up in various colors, it
was pretty cool. These days heading out west were mainly long days in the truck followed up with
even more long days in the truck. Before we went to on the trip, I thought that the trip down to Albany

was just down the road. After two, maybe three days we were driving through Chicago at 3 in the

reservations, so we ended up trying to just spend the night in a Walmart parking lot on the outskirts of

By nature, some of the targets are more measurable than others. It is easy to measure those that are

Keynes accepted the classical view that increase in money supply causes rising prices or inflation only
when the aggregate output corresponds to full employment and aggregate supply curve is vertical.
Keynes published an article entitled How to Pay for the War in 1940, in which he developed a demand
side model incorporating inflation process with temporarily rigid prices in the labor market. The
primary concern of Keynes was to provide space for the necessary increase in output during war
where the economy had already reached the full employment level. At full employment level, as
aggregate demand increases it results in inflationary gap. This inflationary gap can be removed either
by taxation or by saving in such a way that aggregate demand equals existing output (Skidelsky 2000,
