3. AP Calculus Course Objectives
▫ Prepare students for AP Exams
▫ Equivalent to Calculus 1 in most universities
▫ Covers differential and integral calculus

4. IB Applications SL/HL Course Objectives
This course is the year 1 of a two year IB math
program. The course is designed to teach
students how math is integrated into theri daily
lives. The course has Algebra 2, Precalculus,
Calculus and Statistics components. Students
will also be writing the IA’s on the first year
usually after springbreak so they have the tools
they need to do a good analysis of their chosen
topics. 4

Students are allowed to retest any test and grading will follow district retest
grading policy

6. “How can I support my student?”
▫ Doing homework is essential to doing well in
AP or IB since the more familiar students are
to the test format the easier it becomes.
