Parent Conference Report and  Academic Intervention November 12, 2008
Meeting Times 8am to 3:15pm
Working Lunch A structured study hall that is assigned during the first twenty minutes of each lunch period and is monitored by a teaching assistant 5 th  period – room 908 – Mary McCarey 6 th  period – room 408 – Mary McCarey 7 th  period – room 408 – Chris Wise Students may elect to work the entire period
Working Lunch Students are assigned when they have missed two assignments and have not responded to a base level – teacher conference  Students will report to  Working Lunch  each day until the assignments have been completed
Working Lunch Students will: Arrive on-time Bring the materials needed to complete the work Bring the hardcopy of the grade report with missing assignments Work for the entire time assigned Return to  Working Lunch  until all assignments are complete
Intervention successful Next stage of intervention Administrators and guidance office are given a daily list of students assigned Student is given a pass with missing assignments Student work is returned to teacher via mailbox Student is assigned  Working Lunch Student completes assignments Student does not complete assignments or does not attend  Working Lunch
Intervention successful Next stage of intervention Parent contact is made Teacher may assign  “teacher detention” Working Lunch  assignment continues Student meets with  teacher  to determine cause of failure Student completes assignments Student does not complete assignments or does not attend  Working Lunch
