 sets clear learning objectives, that are shared with you
 provides excellent preparation for secondary education
 is taught in over 950 schools in almost 100 countries
• The end of Primary education (Year 6)
• It is not a test of 1 year’s knowledge but of all previous years’ teaching:
3-6
Structure of Primary Checkpoint
The students will be assessed in three
subjects only:
1. ENGLISH
2. SCIENCE
3. MATHEMATICS
• Students will study curricular that will prepare them
for the exams in primary
• Mock exams week beginning March 2022, two papers
per subject and two papers per day
• Checkpoint Exams 24th, 25th & 26th April 2022, two
papers per subject and two papers per day
• Virtually all students take all the exams
• Students will continue with the Year 6 Curriculum until
the end of the year

Paper 2 – 45 minutes, calculators ALLOWED
All strands are covered in both papers
Why Practice Papers are Important?
• This practice will be covering the entire syllabus.
• It will help develop time management skills and
focal span.
• The corrections of these tests is equally
important.
• It is strongly advised that students should go
through these tests at home too, for better
reinforcement.
• Results will reach the school near the end of June 2022
• Results will be shared with students, parents and staff
• Each student will have a statement of achievement and a
diagnostic report
• The school will share the results with the wider school
community
What happens with the results
• Scores on the Checkpoint scale are from 0.0 to 6.0
• Students achieving less than 2.0 have a basic
understanding of the curriculum content
• Students achieving between 3.0 and 4.0 have a sound
understanding of most of the curriculum content
• Students achieving more than 5.0 have and excellent
understanding of the curriculum content
