The fact that IT sector in the country has increased at an incredible rate of 35% per year for the
last 10 years reinforces the view that India is world class in IT. The contribution of IT sector to
national GDP will be around 8.5% during the year 2010 2011. The IT sector revenue is expected
to increase from Rs 1276 billion in 2004 2005 to Rs 6435 billion in 2011. Availability and
adequate supply of skilled and knowledgeable workforce and the quality of infrastructure is
critical for the growth of IT in India. The IT sector is one of the largest employers of women,
and therefore, can play a crucial role in women empowerment and the reduction of gender
inequalities. As per NASSCOM (2010) estimates, women comprise 30 35% of the entire
workforce in the IT sector. The number of software professionals has been growing continuously
over the years. There is 60% increase in the number of women employees working in the Indian

Law 421 Contracts
Contracts
Contracts are an important part of everyday life. They are an essential part of business. As a
student of a business law class, I will discuss in this paper several aspects of contracts. This paper
will give a definition of a contract and the essential elements necessary to form a valid contract. It
will briefly discuss breach of contract and the difference between a material breach and a
nonmaterial breach of contract. Examples of legal and equitable remedies available for breach of
contracts will be highlighted. Also, legal excuses for nonperformance or other grounds for
discharge of contracts will be addressed. Finally, three types of common contracts personally and
professionally encountered will be mentioned.

Contracts can be discharged by complete performance or material non performance of the
contractual duty. For example: A contractor does not do any work promised on a bathroom, or
almost none, then the homeowner does not owe him anything. Therefore, the homeowner the non
breaching party is discharged and the contractor is liable for the breach of contract (lectriclaw,
2012). A cancellation can be effected if one party breaches the contract, or a termination can
occur when either party lawfully ends the contract for anything other than a breach. In this case,
all executor duties are discharged on both sides but in the event of a partial breach, there is still a
right to seek a remedy (lectriclaw, 2012). Procedures dealing with all aspects of contracts are a
part of everyday transactions and can affect every individual on one level or another.
In everyday living, contracts can be a basic part of individual life. On a personal level, there are
several types of contracts that have been encountered. These contracts are life, health, and
automobile insurance that is a benefit for the person insured in case something happens such as a
death, a hospital stay or a car accident. Also, there are employment contracts that are signed when
one accepts a job such as an employment application, and service contracts such as contractors
performing work on my home. These are basic examples of how contracts affect everyday life on a

1.Identification and Evaluation of Sources
Stalin s Curse
This historical investigation assesses the following question: To what extent did Joseph Stalin
cause tension between the United States of America and the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics
during the World War II era? To grasp the true cause of the Cold War
, research must include insight
into separate ideals believed by each; the will of communism spread vs the will of capitalism to
contain it; the anxiety of nuclear war; and the presidency of Harry S. Truman. The main sources
will include Stalin s Curse, written by Robert Gellately, and A History of Twentieth Century Russia

Service is a Professor of Russian History and Politics. His book was a secondary evaluation,
published in 1998. The purpose was to explore the actions of the Soviet government and its leader
Joseph Stalin through testimonials of firsthand accounts. This source is valuable because it brings
to light the intentions of Stalinist Russia and the conflict the USSR brought to the Eastern and
Western hemispheres. This source is valuable as it gives an objective, expansive overview of the
Stalinist era of the Soviet Union. Its contents include details of Stalin s actions and quotations of
pained Russians. Rybalchenko claims, You must lie down and die... Absolutely everyone says
openly how everyone is discontented with life. Service writes, In foreign policy, he felt nervous
about the USA s ambitions. Through both these, one can see into the terrible conditions Stalin has
created in Russia. As far as limitations go, Robert Service fails to take a side on Stalin s reign and
therefore leaves the reader feeling confused on whom is right.
2. Investigation Joseph Stalin was one of the most powerful men in history. Every decision he
made affected the world not only around the USSR, but also everywhere else. Such was clearly
evident, especially in his opposition to relations with the Capitalist Western hemisphere and
oppression of his own nation. Accordingly, Sokolsky describes Stalin s

Alcibiades Ethical Beliefs
Alcibiades displayed his eagerness to deceive multiple people in order to achieve what was in his
self interest his superiority and well being. He persuaded and encouraged other cities to make walls
to the sea, joining alongside Athens in the pursuit against Sparta.
While Alcibiades sustained an ongoing relationship with the people, it continued as an imbalance.
Alcibiades s lifestyle became public knowledge, and his luxurious behavior was exposed and not
particularly desirable to most Athenians, especially the conservative Athenians. This manifested a
discontent among the people, which only furthered the love hate relationship that Alcibiades had
with the people of Athens. Plutarch wrote,

Alcibiades used every situation to elevate himself and establish superiority, which enhanced the
type of unbalanced relationship he had with the people for most of his lifetime. Alcibiades s
unethical practices in both political and private life were questionable. He sought after pleasures
and naturally deceived many, making him a great politician, but dubious as a virtuous man.
Plutarch wrote, Certainly, if ever man was ruined by his own glory, it was Alcibiades (287). The
ambitions and passions in Alcibiades life that went unchecked resulted in the imbalance in his life
both private and public. Although he befriended Socrates early and strove for true honor and real
virtue, the rest of his life unfolded in a vicious way, rather than influenced by virtue. Alcibiades
adapted to both good and bad, vice and virtue, establishing a strong inconsistency in his morals as
well as his character altogether. The central image of this life was certainly a chameleon. Plutarch
wrote, Not that his natural disposition changed so easily, nor that his real character was so variable,
but, whether he was sensible that by pursuing his own inclinations he might give offense to those
with whom he had occasion to converse, he transformed himself into any shape, and adopted any
fashion, that he observed to be most agreeable (275 276). Alcibiades morphed into whatever it took,
whether he was around different people or aiding another nation, he made sure to adapt to his
surroundings that also helped further his own self interest as well. Earlier in the life, Plutarch wrote
that Alcibiades was neither completely virtuous nor vicious and as the life continued this never
became clearer. Alcibiades always maintained a neutral position in between vice and virtue.
Although Socrates attempted to alter Alcibiades and positively affect his soul, this change never
happened, thus resulting

When asked what they remember from the original Psycho, most people would say that the shower
scene was the part of the film that they remembered most. In this essay I will be analysing this
famous scene but from the remake directed by Gus Van Sant.
The remake of the film, created in the nineteen ninety s, has many differences from the sixties
version. This is advantageous to the production. Examples of this are the use of colour and modern
camera techniques that can be used to create tension, fear, anxiety, and psychological horror. A
result of the use of modern camera techniques is that the director can diversify the camera shots
which allows the audience to seemingly see through ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This uneasiness is also caused by the fact that Marian is in her dressing gown and in her bedroom.
This makes the audience feel intrusive and involved, they are also aware of the vulnerability of
Marian at this point in the film.
The audience watch her tare up the paper which is used to write her repayment sums on, which, to
the audience is seen as evidence of her crime and if it was found she would be caught. This
representation of her crime is presented to the audience as it illustrates evidence of her crime which
again implements the audience in her criminal activities because they have witnessed the crime and
the evidence. This makes the audience feel almost guilty but also anxious to be so involved with
Marian and the emotions are magnified as the audience empathise with her.
Marian Crane gets up out of her chair as she destroys the evidence but instead of moving to
another shot Van Sant uses the same camera to pan across the room and follow her. The camera
shows a shot that encroaches on Marian as it is very close to her all of the time. It is intended to

Stereotypes In The Movie Brave
Disney Presents: A Brave Butch
In the Disney movie, Brave, the main character is a princess named Merida. You see from the
beginning that Merida enjoys archery, riding her horse, and doing many non girly things. It is
refreshing to see a princess in a movie that is not your typical girly girl. This can teach young girls
that they do not have to succumb to the type of behavior the rest of society makes them feel they
should.
However, in other people s eyes, including her mother s, this is not how a proper princess should
behave. Merida should want to wear dresses, take a husband, and become a proper lady. This idea
is the one that most Disney movies give to young women. Ladies should be proper, extremely
feminine, and have a man to complete ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I love it. Here Merida is proving that even though she is a princess and it is her duty to marry, it
is not what she believes in and she will not stand for it. This is how these children s movies should
be. Women have the right to be free in all of their choices, and they do not need men to complete
them. Also, when she crushes her competition it is shows young women that they too can excel in
activities that are seen as manly.
At the end of the movie Merida s mother changed her mind about the marriage. It is decided that
the firstborns of the clans will marry when and who they choose, even though this goes against the
normal traditions. Merida is finally accepted as she is, and is allowed to just be herself.
In Stone Butch Blues, Jess realizes that the only way to be happy in this world is to be yourself.
She comes out as a butch and refers to herself as a he/she. She begins to speak out into the
community about her story and is fully accepted into the gay community. She finds herself and she
finds peace.
Comparing these two stories, Jess and Merida were both different from the mold that they were
supposed to fit into to. Both of these characters fought for what they believed in and found
happiness in just being who they are. While Merida found love and acceptance with her family,
Jess found that same love and acceptance within a new family and

The Chinese Expansion And Territorial Claims Within The...
The Chinese expansion and territorial claims in the South China Sea is escalating tensions with
surrounding countries and the United States. As the National Security Council summons to discuss
this matter, I embrace the role of the Secretary of Defense. A brief explanation of this job is, Under
the President, who is also Commander in Chief, the Secretary of Defense exercises authority,
direction, and control over the Department, which includes the separately organized military
departments of Army, Navy, and Air Force, the Joint Chiefs of Staffproviding military advice, the
unified and specified combatant commands, and various defense agencies established for specific
purposes (unt.edu). Furthermore, it is important to understand that persons in the position of
Secretary Defense are a member of the cabinet, appointed by the president. This piece of
information is pivotal in order to fathom the idea that the Secretary of Defense is subject to
modification with every transformation of administration, hence sanctioning only a small amount
of continuity in military strategy. The responsibility coveted by the Secretary of Defense at this
conference that can be inferred from the duties outlined above is, collaboration with all constituents
of the Department of the Defense in the direction of providing the best recommendation regarding
resolution of the tensions over the South China Sea. The focal point of this recommendation will be
a military strategy and the manner in which to

The Comic Books And Propaganda
Comic Books and Propaganda
Since the times of the Persian Empires, propaganda has been an effective tool for forces of the
State government, or other institutions trying to spread a political message, usually for militarily or
humanitarian missions. In modern times, propaganda has taken a new face with the Internet, but
during the 1940 s one of the most effective types of propaganda was the use of comic books.
Currently comic books are used around the world to spread the message of peace, war, and even
religion. For example, in Egypt a comic book is used to spread the word of Islam and what a true
Muslim should act like in accordance to Allah. Catholic undertones are used in comic books to
spread a message of Christianity to people in an interesting way, with bloody action. In Bosnia and
Herzegovina during the Bosnian War, Superman was used to get out awareness of landmines to the
people in affected areas. Comic Books are an effective form of propaganda because they are meant
to be interesting, and the superheroes show people how they should be acting during times of strife.
Throughout the history of comic books, they have been unifying and brought people together and
light to certain messages for people from different countries, cultures, and ethnicities.
Propaganda has been used for thousands of years, for example, during the time of the Persian
Empire, Darius s, also known as Darius the Great a king of the Persian Empire, use of an
inscription demonstrated his rise to

The Invention Of The Automobile Industry Essay
Cars are definitely the biggest invention on history changing the way humans transport. In the
past, there were no vehicles and therefore people used to walk while only the few lucky had the
privilege of enjoying a horse ride. There were also horse wagons which were made in order to
increase the number of persons who could be carried (Lynn, 54). However, in the year 1907, Henry
Fordinvented the first car model which was referred to as T model, that allowed everyone to own a
automobile. In this paper I will argue the importance of cars through history and why cars are the
biggest history humans have created using too expecific examples from history. The T model
reinvented the automobile industry making automobiles accessible for every social class. And
almost a century after Toyota car company reinvented again the automobile industry creating the
first hybrid named Prius. The importance of automobiles in history is obvious and this two
creation will teach you why. In the year 1903, there was the formation of a Association of Licensed
Automobile Manufacturers (ALAM) which was aimed at ensuring that only the licensed dealers
could be allowed to produce and sell vehicles (Grimm, 51). There was however rule and regulations
that they had to follow and failure to adhere would have led to being overthrown from the business.
During the invention of T model, the government was in the process of eliminating monopolies
which had taken the better part of the economy. These included

the poem that the main character calls for he name even though he knows that she is not there. I
believe that these feelings may have been triggered by the enviorment that he was in. While he was

Gaining membership to the European Union (EU) has been a frustrating process for Turkey. The
Near East nation began its campaign for EU membership nearly 30 years ago under the EU s
predecessor, the European Economic Community. In 2005, 18 years after beginning the application
process, Turkey was finally invited to enter accession negotiations. The protracted delay was a
result of unfavorable economic conditions in Turkey as well as Turkey s tumultuous relationships
with EU members Greece and Cyprus. Yet, the question remains: why hasn t Turkey been granted
membership to the EU? The answers are many and complex. First, geographically, Turkey is

routinely arrested and incarcerated for criticizing the party. While the EU is not ready to accept
Turkey, the Turkish public is hesitant to join the EU. Recent polls have shown public frustration
toward the accession movement. Additionally, Turkey has experienced spurts of economic
growth in the last decade thanks to a customs agreement with the EU that has facilitated, among
other things, the development of a sophisticated export trade. Turks might feel that the country
doesn t need the EU to be successful. Prime Minister Erdogan and other top Turkish officials
have recently expressed disdain toward the EU, with one minister even being quoted as saying:

The Development Of Gifted Adolescents
Development Script
When it comes to development, there are many different forms. A person goes through not only
physical and intellectual development but also emotional and even social development. While
some develop efficiently in all areas, others can encounter issues with their development in some
or even all areas. No matter how one develops though there is always questions about it. How it all
works, what to expect, and even why one is not developing in a certain way or like another person.
Imagine you are a parent, how would you explain these developments to your child? What would
you tell them about the changes they may encounter physically, intellectually, emotionally, and
socially?
Physically
Although gifted adolescents have a way of viewing things differently than that of an average
adolescence, they still face the same physical changes. As the parent of a 14 year old smart girl, it is
important to approach the subject with honesty and maturity not to insult her intelligence. Explain to
her that the increase in the size of her hips, breast, and the addition of pubic hair, are all
characteristics of her sexual identity. Reassure her that the beginning of her menstrual cycle is
normal for a girl that is leaving childhood and entering into the stage of adolescents. Discuss the

It comprises of three grades:placenta accreta, increta and percreta.Placenta accreta is a general term
covering all these grades(Perez Delboy 2014).Some authors have described this condition as
placental attachment disorders or PAD(Comstock 2014).
Accreta: (75%) placental villi is just in contact with the womb muscle;increta: (18%) the placental
villi invade the womb muscle;percreta: (7%) the placental villi perforate the muscle and the outer
lining of the uterus/womb(Berkley 2013; Wortman 2013).
This can be re classified according to the number of placental lobules attached to the womb:
Total: all the lobules are involved;partial: two lobules are involved;focal: one lobule is involved
(Wortman 2013).
The pathogenesis of MAP is still unclear. One theory is that after surgery a localized area of the
womb may lack oxygen supply. Hence the womb muscles get scarred and form abnormal blood
vessels which in turn causes disordered development of the layers of the placental bed(Berkley
2013; Warshak 2009).
Identifying women with risk factors is the key for the early diagnosis and management(Bowman
2014).The major risk factor/s for MAP are: low lying placenta(praevia);a history of previous uterine
/womb surgery e.g. caesarean sections, uterine curettage and myomectomy(Bowman
2014;Comstock 2014). However, other risk factors, such as mum over 35 years,IVF(in vitro

What Makes An Effective Leader
Leadership A leader is somebody who stands for his cause as well as assumes liability and
propels different people moreover. There is an unmistakable contrast between being a supervisor
and a leader. A leader is an inspiration for others and rouses people to point high and accomplish
that point. However a manager just regulates over his subordinates. Control actually goes to a
pioneer, yet that power is not a device of leader. Or maybe on the off chance that one tries to
control the conditions with power it ends up being dictator. Authority is not a quality but rather it is
an individual s conduct. A pioneer showcases an inspirational disposition and high self regard....

A pioneer is somebody that many individuals look to for bearing, direction, and motivation, so it
is critical for our pioneers to have the bent to settle on troublesome choices and to know and
make the wisest decision for the general population. A higher power is pivotal for overseeing
and controlling others and also being a case of a hard and devoted specialist. A viable pioneer
has character, capability, sympathy, and valor. Character is, as talked about in class, conceivably
the most critical normal for a pioneer. A man s actual character is the kind of people they are the
point at which they are placed in a troublesome circumstance. It is the choices and the ethical
quality of a pioneer that gives them the respectable character that others hope to take after. It is
fundamental for a pioneer to have character on the grounds that a pioneer needs the capacity to see

April 10, 2016
Organized Religion: an Impediment to Human Fulfillment In Catholicism, religious beliefs are
determined by the sacred scripture and tradition. These beliefs offer a comprehensive and definitive
explanation of the nature of God. James Joyce s Portrait of An Artist as a Young Man is a narration
of the transition from childhood to adulthood of the protagonist, Stephen Dedalus, who grows up in
a Catholic society and family life in Ireland. Because of the nature of his church s role in his life,
Stephen faces internal conflict regarding his own thoughts and beliefs about the nature of God.
After many trials and tribulations with his faith life, Stephen realizes that the church s unequivocal
teachings and beliefs actually hinder his ability to find answers to metaphysical questions that arise
in his life. Stephen s religious struggles display how organized religion impedes an individual s
ability to find one s own identity and purpose, subsequently contradicting God s purpose for
humanity. In his early childhood, Stephen proactively seeks out his own meaning and identity;
however, as he gets older and is exposed to organized religion, his ability to consider his own true
meaning is hindered. Before being engulfed by the pressures of religious life, Stephen lives with a
youthful optimism and curiosity. He actively tries to find out what the purpose of his life will be.
This is evident when he sits

On January 20th, 2013, Barack Obama was inaugurated to his second term as president of the
United States. In his speech, he made history when he made a reference to gay rights, he said:
We the people, declare today that the most evident of truths that all of us are created equal is the
star that guides us still; just as it guided our forebears through Seneca Falls, and Selma, and
Stonewall; just as it guided all those men and women, sung and unsung, who left footprints along
this great Mall, to hear a preacher say that we cannot walk alone; to hear a King proclaim that our
individual freedom is inextricably bound to the freedom of every soul on earth (Obama).

This was led by Elizabeth Stanton and Lucretia Mott. These conventions also were held in places
like Worcester, Massachusetts and thousands of women and men came to support the women s
suffrage movement (Imbornoni).
There were other ways women were advancing their political status. Due to the fact that women
did not have equal rights as men, until earlier in the 20th century, some would dress as men to
achieve higher political status or to get a better job. Gay women would cross dress just because it
made them feel more comfortable. Homosexuality was not an uncommon thing in the 19th century.
It was normal for members of the same sex to show affection to each other, and even sleep in the
same bed. When people would come out as homosexual; doctors automatically presumed they were
mentally unstable and they were put in an asylum. Doctors continued to say homosexuality was an
illness until the 1970s. For about twenty years after the end of the 19th century, women,
homosexuals, and African Americans all struggled for their rights. Everything changed when the
roaring twenties emerged.
In 1920, women finally were granted the right to vote with the passing of the nineteenth
amendment. This caused women to start rebelling against ladylike things that were considered
normal behavior, and the group known as the Flappers emerged. These young women drank and
smoked excessively in public, cut their hair, and wore short dresses. Some of these Flappers

Peaceful Resistance Thesis
Peaceful resistance is a very controversial issue in this day in age. Many Americans, if asked,
probably have many varying views and opinions on what peaceful resistance is. For some it could
be marching down the streets with signs, while for others its shouting their rights without causing
any violence. Now to me, peaceful resistance is when one or multiples stand for what they deem
right or wrong without causing any harm to others. To me this serves as a positive because not
only does it allow for people to be heard, but also for others to listen. When a peaceful protesttakes
place often enough it is shown through the internet, social media, television, news, etc. At some
point everyone will hear about it and based on what they see they... Show more content on

Resistance can cause tension and division between people, but peaceful resistance is a pathway for
those to express themselves without violence. In all honesty I think the positives trump the
negatives because in the end they are fighting for what they want and what they should rightfully
have. Isn t that what America has been built off of? The fight for what we want and what we know
is right, while proving that is so. And for those who question What has happened to us? Why is it
necessary, at this moment, in this forum to repeat what should be axiomatic and accepted? (Civil

let what their ancestors fought for to go to waste. People need to get out of their own heads and
realize that injustice still exists, inequality still exists, the government has too much say in what
happens in our lives and that is something not many see everyday. For example, my town is very
safe and isolated. I ve grown up never having seen violence, social prejudice, or anything unfair,
which for a child is great for protection, but growing up it made me and many around me ignorant

Behavioral Techniques in the Classroom Essay
Behavioral Techniques in the Classroom
Very often, American parents complain that schools are disorderly and undisciplined. They claim
that their child s behavior has worsened and the child is using vulgar language. Teachers, however,
complain that students arrive at school lacking common courtesy and respect for authority. Because
of this, instruction time is wasted trying to obtain order (Bennett, et. al., 1999).
Student discipline is affected by classroom management. The way in which a teacher manages his
/her classroom delineates the type of instruction that will take place in the classroom. A classroom
in which the teacher takes total responsibility for guiding students actions comprises a different
learning environment ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The clearer the structure in the classroom, the more freedom the teacher can allow students (Slavin,
2003).
Classroom rules are important in the smooth management of classrooms (Wardle, 2003). Effective
schools ensure that parents and students know what is expected of them. Their written rules
clearly define acceptable behavior and the consequences for breaking the rules (Bennett, et. al.,
1999). Class rules should be few in number, should be seen as fair and make sense to students, and
be clearly explained and taught to students. Class rules should become second nature to students
(Slavin, 2003). Not only must rules be clearly presented to students, they must also be
implemented. Students need to know that there will be real consequences for their misbehavior,
not something that they will feel is not a big deal. The teacher needs to be the moral authority in
the classroom and it is imperative that school officials and parents back up the teachers decisions
(Bennett, et. al., 1999). Teachers who do not establish their authority in the classroom often spend a
lot of time dealing with misbehavior (Slavin, 2003). Good behavior should be recognized and high
academic standards maintained. Students must understand that good manners are not a choice but
a requirement; however, teachers and other adults need to teach the students the need for self
discipline. If students continue to be chronically disruptive, they should be taken out of class

John Milton s Lycidas Uses Fruitful And Fertile Imagery
A sorrowful ode to his former colleague and close friend, John Milton s Lycidas uses fruitful and
fertile imagery to describe the watery death of his collegiate companion. Water in this poem
functions both as it normally does, describing rebirth in a true baptismal fashion, and in an alternate
way, in reference to the drowning and death of Edward King. The poem also takes time to discuss
the malicious actions of the English clergymen, poetically described in traditional pastoralimagery,
so in this way it is similar to what Milton does with the water imagery. Both are both traditional in
one sense and a complete antithesis in another, while still using the same imagery. Lycidasbegins
with a declaration of the writer s desire to achieve petty vengeance against nature. I come to pluck
your berries harsh and crude, and with forced fingers rude, shatter your leaves before the
mellowing year. (Lycidas, Line Three, Page 39)
Edward King s death was early and unwarranted. He, like the unripe berries, was plucked crudely
before he could reach his maturity. Milton channels his grief into anger, and needs to assign blame
on some entity. Unfortunately for him nature lacks a corporeal form, so the attacks he is able to
make are minor compared to the power over life nature possesses. The action of plucking the
berries in undoubtedly violent, he wants to punish and hurt nature in the same way nature has hurt
him. He does not ask for any great catastrophe, but wishes to take some small

The word honte on the Canadian flag means shame.
Inuit communities are exempted from seal product restrictions and are allowed to hunt up to
400,000 seals ( a quota set by the government)
This is because it is part of their culture
There s growing demand for seal skin coats, boots, slippers and other products in the province and
across Canada
Fur is also still going to markets in China and other parts of Asia
Our federal government is fighting the European Union s ban on seal products through the World

European General Court dismissed a Canadian challenge of the EU ban ^^^^^
The federal Fisheries Department says that starting 2014, all licence holders taking part in the

seals
The training program is working, and we have to continue at that so that sealers will operate in what
we call a professional manner and treat the animals humanely and with respect, Frank Pinhorn

The province has vigorously defended the seal hunt as a vital income source for struggling outports
that rely on that cash to help fund the rest of the fishing season.

Bloomberg s Commitment to Public Health
Bloomberg s commitment to public health was certainly strong throughout his time as mayor of
New York. On the one hand, he understood the importance in addressing some of the largest
health issues of our time. On the other however, it seems that many of his policies were made
without proper scientific evidence and backing and were made based on his own personal
philosophies rather those of the people they affected. He himself said I just spent roughly $600
million of my own money to try to stop the scourge of tobacco {NYT}
Positive Aspects:
The Mayor took charge of the fight against numerous issues and implemented some of the strictest
public health legislation in the world. Some of the more notable examples were his stances on
smoking and obesity. Not only did Bloomberg make policies, which directly addressed the core
cause of the issues, but also he succeeded in levying the blame and burden of these policies upon
the industries that were profiteering at the cost of the public s health. Among the most significant
of these policies were the efforts to tax sugary drinks and ban others in a move that stated that the
sale of any cup or bottle of sweetened drink larger than 16 fluid ounces about the size of a
medium coffee, and smaller than a common soda bottle would be prohibited {NYT}. Evidently,
this policy was aimed at reducing the runaway obesity rates that were being experienced in New
York City. Additionally, the smoking ban in restaurants and in the work

A Report That Was Released By The United States Justice...
A report that was released by the United States Justice Department on February 12, 2016,
showed that a Florida man pleads guilty to a hate crime for threatening to firebomb two
mosques and shoot worshippers. The 43 year old man by the name Martin Alan Schnitzler was
arrested by the FBI on November 17, 2015, after he made numerous threats to shoot children in
the head and firebomb a mosque in Petersburg, Florida. In his two recorded messages, Schnitzler
said that he is watching the news report that covered the terrorist attacks in Paris. In these
attacks, 130 lives were lost while more than 300 were seriously injured. Those responsible for
these series of attacks were members of a terrorist group known as the Islamic States of Iraq and
Levant (ISIL). Since ISIL members claim to be practicing Muslims and also fighting for the cause
of Islam(Jihad), Schnitzler showed the same enmity he has for the ISIL terrorists to his non
violence Muslim neighbors. For this reason, he wanted to avenge the death of the victims of the
Paris attacks by firebombing and shooting his Muslim neighbors two year old children in the head.
After his arrest, he admitted that he violated these Muslims first Amendment (free exercise of
religion) and also pleaded guilty to the hate crime charge. According to the Department of Justice,
Schnitzler faces a maximum sentence of 20 years in federal prison. A. Lee Bentley III, the U.S.

Suicide In The Trenches By Siegfried Sassoon
The poems Dulce et Decorum est by Wilfred Owen and Suicide in the trenches by Siegfried
Sassoon used the techniques of personal pronouns and irony to convey the poet s feelings towards
war. Formerly Owen and Sassoon all war poems had been patriotic and was used to encourage
employment of young men in war. But, both Owen and Sassoon had seen the horrors of trench
warfare themselves and their poetrywas therefore become realistic about the unforgiving realities
of war. Owen stated on his poems that my subject is war, and the pity of it, all a poet can do is

In Dulce et Decorum est irony was used in the title of the poem which means it is sweet and fitting
. This comes from the saying that was commonly used during World War One: Dulce et Decorum
est pro patria mori or It is sweet and fitting to die for your country. This title greatly contradicted
the poems content, which described the gruesome death of a soldier from poisonous gas, which
is a sickening and horrific, not sweet and fitting, way to die. In Suicide in the trenches a
rhythmic technique of iambic tetrameter was used to create irony. This creates a sing song
effect, which is greatly contradicted by the diction of the poem. This describes a simple soldier
boy committing suicide because the conditions of the trenches caused him to be cowed and
glum . Irony was used in these poems to lull the reader into the belief that the poem was going to
be cheerful and then shock the reader when they read the diction of the poem. The reader s
shock when they read the poem would have caused them to reconsider their thoughts on war and
talked to them how disgusting war is and the poet s purpose of how it s wrong to disregard war
or spread propaganda about it being glorious. The irony used also shocked me. which caused me to

How Did Turkey Geopolitics Influence Its Foreign Policy...
2.2How did Turkey s geopolitics influence its foreign policy and foreign relation? The direction
of Turkey s foreign policy has shaped by many factors and geopolitics defiantly played an
important part in it. Turkey s foreign policies during the cold war are the product of
westernization and the democratic reforms of the 1930s. Thus, the Cold War s atmosphere had
forced Turkey to make a choice between the East and the West (CITATION). Since the reform
Turkey s foreign policy was mostly western oriented therefore Turkey decide to side by the west

foreign relations and build economic and political ties with the Eastern bloc and neighboring

Protecting the young people in today s society is important because they are the future, if they are
raised right, it will be carried on to their kids and so on. Censorship of music in the United States
dates back to the 1800 s after the Civil War when people in the south were banned from singing
confederate songs. And censorship of music is still happening today. With music uncensored,
little kids and adolescents are likely to think that everything they hear in the music they listen to

Marketing, Web Design and Web Development
Web design is a blend of creativity and technicality, or graphic design and web development. As a
result of this blend the industry s necessary skills, necessary education, and job offerings can be
variable. Individuals interested in this industry should attempt to vary their skill sets as much as
possible. Companies such as a Forix, combine marketing, design and technical skills to customize
their products. Additionally, individuals should expect to discover that some careers will rely more
heavily on technical skills, while other careers rely more heavily on design skills.
The web design and development industry are relatively new. This modern industry was built off of
the inventions of 1974, when computer researchers invented the internet protocol suite (TCP/IP).
TCP/IP is somewhat like human communication: when we speak to each other, the rules of
grammar provide structure to language and ensure that we can understand each other and exchange
ideas. Similarly, TCP/IP provides the rules of communication that ensure interconnected devices
understand each other so that they can send information back and forth. (Google Chrome Team,
2010, pg. 5).
It was not until 1989 that the internet was conceived. A man named Tim Berners Lee created the
World Wide Webserver through HTML or, hypertext markup language. Just like humans have a

The Perception Of A Child With Adhd In Don Delillo s White...
You re thirteen years old. Back in middle school (aka the good ol days ) when your teacher
lectures on and on about dangling modifiers or equilateral triangles. Naturally, you lose interest
and begin to look around at all of the colorful laminated posters stuck to the wall with that blue
goop. Your mind begins to wander, you shake your leg to keep you alert with the occasional
pencil drumstick solo. To some, this is an example of how we all acted as a child. To others, this
is an example of a child with ADHD. We have all sat in that 13 year old s shoes and many of us
still experience the symptoms of an active mind: thoughts wander and attention shifts. Yet, our
society and culture have pathologized something that is completely natural. This social norm is
suddenly viewed as an issue that needs fixing needs... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Satirical novels such as Delillo s piece act as a medium to reflect on the defects of America at
that time and how similar those events are to current issues. I aim to contribute to the growing
conversation of the faults of America s quick paced lifestyle and how the media caters to that.
While I understand that these illnesses have the ability to actually hinder someone s day to day
life, I believe that doctors and parents are all too quick to diagnose and seek medical treatment.
My plan of action is to show the benefits of stopping to take a deep breath, listening to your
children, and observing that this behavior stems from a deeper issue: fear. In Don Delillo s White
Noise, a constant fear of chronic illness and dependency on medication mimics our society s
increasingly hypochondriacal behaviors, which leads to a withstanding social commentary piece,
acting as a warning to current and future

Innovative Algebra Immersion
Algebra Academy is an innovative algebra immersion program for middle school students who are
motivated to learn and advance in mathematics with help from university professors. I found this
program in eighth grade when it was offered for the second time at Rolling Hills Middle School.
During that time, I believed that I was an intelligent studentsimilar to my peers in mathematics but
took the opportunity and seized the moment to further refine my math skills. Being able to meet
new students in the program made me realize there were smarter students than me, who could help
me as a person by collaborating and learningfrom each other.
Senior year, I was offered a position to be a mentor to the new middle school students attending,

Etiquetty And Corruption In Business And Key Business...
In Iceland, key business values include honesty, accountability, independence, and friendship. Being
a highly nationalistic country, showing sincere interest in Iceland is highly appreciated. Keeping
one s word generally carries the same weight as a contract in this country. Iceland is rated in the
top ten of the least corrupt countries in the world, meaning that transparency is something they
hold in high regard. As a result, bribery and corruption are generally taken very seriously. In
Icelandic culture, there is always a place for socialization, meaning it is appropriate to invite a
business partner out for dinner or a drink following a business discussion or meeting. Business
Meeting Etiquette
When scheduling meetings with Iceland, be sure to use a twenty four hour clock in order to prevent
misunderstandings. Punctuality is highly valued as well, so be sure give heads up about a
possible delay, it is always a good idea to arrive in advance. It is also highly recommended that
appointments are scheduled in advance whenever possible. Meetings tend to be concise and to the
point and meeting over coffee, a drink, or dinner is common. It is always expected that a foreigner
dress formally. Also, Icelanderstend to mix business with pleasure and may ask a visitor over to
their home to talk about business. Always be sure to bring a small gift along whenever invited
into a home as this is customary and expected in this country; foreign wine is almost always a safe
bet.

The Importance Of Birth Order And Its Effect On Leadership
Introduction
Some people have always assumed that the oldest child is a natural leader. In that same fashion,
some people feel the youngest child most often grows up a follower and remains a follower in
adulthood. There s some research to support these assumptions that birth order can determine how
one leads. This paper will examine the importance of birth order and its effect on leadership.
So, what is birth order? The term birth order refers to the rank of siblings by age. Birth order is
believed to have significant and lasting psychological effects on an individual. The effects of birth
order on the overall development of a person have continued to have an existence in both personal
and professional life. What is personality? ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
With the second child, the parents tend to be less attentive thus leading the child be more of a
people pleaser and diplomatic (Connor, 2007) thus creating a follower style type. The last born
child is thought as rebellious and displays a spoiled attitude not typically a leadership trait. As the
family size increases, the parental resources are divided more sparsely among all children. Many
factors such as birth order, siblings, genes and circumstances all unquestionably play a greater role
in the development of a child s personality (Healey, 2007) thus impacting the type of leader
displayed.
According to Healey (2007), parents get excited about their first born child and tend to be
overprotective, pay more attention, investments and high expectations on the child. It is
understandable that parents may be able to expend more resources on the first born, especially in
smaller families if there is a gap between the other siblings. Gordman s research (2008) supports the
previously mentioned statements by showing the effect birth order has on educational attainment.
Gordman (2008) confirms Grinberg s (2015) statements regarding the possibility that more
resources are reserved for the first born. This research further proves that the first born has better
resources and informal support to help increase the chances of being successful. For this paper,

Pros And Cons Of Residential Solar Power
This project is to identify the feasibility of residential solar power applications for the end user,
and any pros/cons and cost analysis of any such undertaking. We will compile existing data to
identify how much grid electricity the average US household uses, how much they pay per
kilowatthour (kWh), and compare it to the cost of installing solar powersystem. Taking into
consideration environmental effects, government incentives, and pure electricity cost savings over
time, we will demonstrate that every American would benefit by moving from grid electricity to
solar power, even if opting for a partial grid or grid tie in solar system.
Citizens of the world have been gradually showing more and more concern for the environment

Solar power is not consistent or reliable enough to be the only option for power. This technology
relies totally on the sun so certain days we will be able to produce more power than others and at
night we might not be able to produce any. Which is why we will not be able to completely
sever the tie to conventional power generation. There has to be a method available to generate
enough power to meet demand without available sunlight. Although as technology progresses
we may soon be able to generate power from solar sources 24 hours a day. Modern solar power
towers are being designed to store excess heat transfer medium underground during the day as its
heated and recycling it at night to continue to generate steam for power production (Mills, 2004).
But even with this ability we will not be able to go solely to solar power but it can still supplement
existing power and drastically reduce the country s carbon

of right knee replacement x 4, secondary to a gunshot wound in ___ [DATE]. Left knee, he has
had multiple surgeries, primarily on the ligaments and I understand the meniscus. Also has right
hip pain. The hip is probably related to his difficulty with the right knee. He has chronic pain in
the knees. He has a need for testosterone as his labs are very low. PTSD, (___) anxiety. Really
here today to follow up on the testosterone. Lab was drawn; other results are not yet available.
His non fasting glucose today was 106 and the hemoglobin A1c that was done was 5.9. He does
have some history of hyperglycemia, but I think there were primarily non fasting, he may just have
some glucose intolerance. Complains primarily of knee pain and right hip pain. He is having

Everyday Use Of Electrons In Atoms
Electrons in Atoms
Electrons are the negatively charged particles that can be found in the atom. Electrons will be
located around clouds that surround the nucleus of an atom. All Together the atom creates a
negative charge that will make sure that it balances the positive charge of the protons in the atomic
nucleus. These clouds are at a certain distance from the nucleus which is properly put into the
shells. Due to the fact that electrons move so quickly it is impossible to see where they are at
certain point in time. The overall shape of the shells change depending on how many electrons an
element contains. The higher the atomic number the more higher the shells plus an electron of an
atom will have. The main in electrons is the way that all the elements rely on each other without
the negative charge is the positive will not be good in any use. The electrons are an everyday use
to use because of the fact of electricity. The small particles flows through wires and circuits that
create currents of electricity. Electrons flow from negative charged parts to the positive charged.
The negative charge part of a circuit will have extra electrons, meanwhile the positive charge will
want more electrons. When electrons move throughout ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

The Battle of Stalingrad Led to a Significant Loss to the...
Stalingrad was a battle during World War II started on June 22 1941 that eventually led to a
significant loss to the Axis forces. The battle started as retaliation from Adolf Hitler after his
defeat in the Battle of Barbarossa. The Battle of Stalingrad was a battle of pride, morale and not
based off of any tactical or strategic advantage. The battle raged on in four main operations that
lasted only 199 days. This loss in Stalingrad dealt a significant blow to the Axis Powersthat would
lead to the overall defeat of Adolph Hitler and his military during World War II. Operation
Barbarossa; initiated by the Axis powers and they quickly advanced deep into Russia. The Axis
Powers believed they could defeat the Soviet Unionas soon as the winter had passed but they began
receiving heavy attacks during the winter with as much as 65% of the infantry being attacked.
The Axis Powers had time to re equip and rest their forces prior to the end of the winter. Moscow
was the end state for the operation and the Axis Powers used a Blitzkrieg style of warfare to
attack the least obvious Point of Entry. Adolph Hitler expected the Soviet Union to surrender as
soon as the end state became successfully captured. Hitler understood that taking Moscow would
be very costly to his Armies. Hitler developed a plan to cut the Soviet Union of their fuel by taking
the Caucasus Oil Fields. Operation Blau had the goal of capturing the Caucasus oil fields then
continue to push his army south. The forces

Analysis of the Opening Sequences of Three James Bond Films
Analysis of the Opening Sequences of Three James Bond Films
Analyse the opening sequences of three James Bond films and explain why they are constructed in
this way.
James Bond has been running for forty years and has released twenty movies. My essay will
analyse the following three James Bond movies:
В· Dr No (Starring Sean Connery, first Bond movie made)
В· A view to kill (Roger Moore)
В· Golden Eye (Pierce Brosnan)
For each of these movies I will analyse the opening scenes and explain why they are constructed in
the manner that they are.
In each of the three movies a different actor plays the Character of James Bond. In the first move
(Dr No) James Bond is played by Sean ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He while gambling receives an urgent phone call (the conversation is not heard, this adds to the
movies suspense). The phone call as well as the camera shots emphasise his importance in the film.
The clothes worn by James Bond (a tuxedo) are very glamorous and sophisticated. They also
emphasise that he is important.
A view to kill, the second James Bond movie to be analysed in this essay, has the same gun shot
scene at the start, but the action in the movie is much better. This is probably due to the date of
release (1985). Dr No was released in 1962. The difference is probably due to more advanced
technology being available.
A view to Kill focuses more on girls and action. The camera angles used in this movie also make
the movie more exciting.
The first scene in this film shows James Bond (Roger Moore) skiing in the Arctic looking for a
microchip. He is dressed in white this may be a disguise to camouflage him (the snow he is
skiing on is white) from the villains who are dressed in green. The shots in this screen are close
up shots and extreme long shots. The extreme long shots emphasis the depth of the scene and also
hide the stunt mans face from the audience. The close up shots are used to show discoveries made
by James Bond i.e. the micro chip.
The second scene in the opening

personification to convey the idea that when power is overused, people are powerless in many
ways, however the ruler or tyrant will eventually be powerless when time comes. The Scarlet

The Development And Maintenance Of Civilization Essay
Over the course of human history, order within society, through its many facets, has been
considered to be a vital part of the development and maintenance of civilization. One such aspect
of order, however, is arguably more important than all other characteristics: the creation and usage
of social constructs. A social construct is defined as a social mechanism, phenomenon, or category
created and developed by society, which aids in either the development or regression of society as
a whole. While more commonly known constructs such as race and gendershape the mindsets of
societies and civilizations as a whole over periods of time, the consequences of the existence of the
construct itself can have both a positive or negative affect. Additionally, many social constructs are
interconnected with each other, not exactly through topic matter but rather by the relationships and
connections they establish with aspects of society and its influence upon it. However, race and
gender are not the only constructs that shape mindsets and opinions, many lesser known ones also
affect changes within society. Such examples include the constructs of higher educationand gender
bias, two seemingly different aspects of society and ideals. However, although they do not
explicitly mention each other, Linda Lee and Anne Fausto Sterling establish a clear connection
between the two, especially in their dealings with societal development in their respective essays

The ambitions and passions in Alcibiades life that went unchecked resulted in the imbalance in his life both private and public. Although he befriended Socrates early and strove for true honor and real virtue, the rest of his life unfolded in a vicious way, rather than influenced by virtue. Alcibiades adapted to both good and bad, vice and virtue, establishing a strong inconsistency in his morals as well as his character altogether. The central image of this life was certainly a chameleon. Plutarch wrote, Not that his natural disposition changed so easily, nor that his real character was so variable, but, whether he was sensible that by pursuing his own inclinations he might give offense to those with whom he had occasion to converse, he transformed himself into any shape, and adopted any fashion, that he observed to be most agreeable (275 276). The Comic Books And Propaganda Comic Books and Propaganda Since the times of the Persian Empires, propaganda has been an effective tool for forces of the State government, or other institutions trying to spread a political message, usually for militarily or humanitarian missions. In modern times, propaganda has taken a new face with the Internet, but during the 1940 s one of the most effective types of propaganda was the use of comic books. Currently comic books are used around the world to spread the message of peace, war, and even religion. Catholic undertones are used in comic books to spread a message of Christianity to people in an interesting way, with bloody action. In Bosnia and Herzegovina during the Bosnian War, Superman was used to get out awareness of landmines to the people in affected areas. Comic Books are an effective form of propaganda because they are meant to be interesting, and the superheroes show people how they should be acting during times of strife. Throughout the history of comic books, they have been unifying and brought people together and light to certain messages for people from different countries, cultures, and ethnicities. Accreta: (75%) placental villi is just in contact with the womb muscle;increta: (18%) the placental villi invade the womb muscle;percreta: (7%) the placental villi perforate the muscle and the outer lining of the uterus/womb(Berkley 2013; Wortman 2013). This can be re classified according to the number of placental lobules attached to the womb: Total: all the lobules are involved;partial: two lobules are involved;focal: one lobule is involved (Wortman 2013). Hagerty 1 John Hagerty Ms. Brillante Honors English 12 April 10, 2016 Organized Religion: an Impediment to Human Fulfillment In Catholicism, religious beliefs are determined by the sacred scripture and tradition. These beliefs offer a comprehensive and definitive explanation of the nature of God. James Joyce s Portrait of An Artist as a Young Man is a narration of the transition from childhood to adulthood of the protagonist, Stephen Dedalus, who grows up in a Catholic society and family life in Ireland. Because of the nature of his church s role in his life, Stephen faces internal conflict regarding his own thoughts and beliefs about the nature of God. After many trials and tribulations with his faith life, Stephen realizes that the church s unequivocal teachings and beliefs actually hinder his ability to find answers to metaphysical questions that arise in his life. Stephen s religious struggles display how organized religion impedes an individual s ability to find one s own identity and purpose, subsequently contradicting God s purpose for humanity. In his early childhood, Stephen proactively seeks out his own meaning and identity; however, as he gets older and is exposed to organized religion, his ability to consider his own true meaning is hindered. Before being engulfed by the pressures of religious life, Stephen lives with a youthful optimism and curiosity. He actively tries to find out what the purpose of his life will be. Due to the fact that women did not have equal rights as men, until earlier in the 20th century, some would dress as men to achieve higher political status or to get a better job. Gay women would cross dress just because it made them feel more comfortable. Homosexuality was not an uncommon thing in the 19th century. It was normal for members of the same sex to show affection to each other, and even sleep in the same bed. When people would come out as homosexual; doctors automatically presumed they were mentally unstable and they were put in an asylum. Doctors continued to say homosexuality was an illness until the 1970s. For about twenty years after the end of the 19th century, women, homosexuals, and African Americans all struggled for their rights. Everything changed when the roaring twenties emerged. In 1920, women finally were granted the right to vote with the passing of the nineteenth amendment. Many Americans, if asked, probably have many varying views and opinions on what peaceful resistance is. For some it could be marching down the streets with signs, while for others its shouting their rights without causing any violence. Now to me, peaceful resistance is when one or multiples stand for what they deem right or wrong without causing any harm to others. To me this serves as a positive because not only does it allow for people to be heard, but also for others to listen. Because of this, instruction time is wasted trying to obtain order (Bennett, et. al., 1999). Student discipline is affected by classroom management. The clearer the structure in the classroom, the more freedom the teacher can allow students (Slavin, 2003). Classroom rules are important in the smooth management of classrooms (Wardle, 2003). Effective schools ensure that parents and students know what is expected of them. Their written rules clearly define acceptable behavior and the consequences for breaking the rules (Bennett, et. al., 1999). Class rules should be few in number, should be seen as fair and make sense to students, and be clearly explained and taught to students. Class rules should become second nature to students (Slavin, 2003). Not only must rules be clearly presented to students, they must also be implemented. Students need to know that there will be real consequences for their misbehavior, not something that they will feel is not a big deal. The teacher needs to be the moral authority in the classroom and it is imperative that school officials and parents back up the teachers decisions (Bennett, et. al., 1999). Teachers who do not establish their authority in the classroom often spend a lot of time dealing with misbehavior (Slavin, 2003). • 27. John Milton s Lycidas Uses Fruitful And Fertile Imagery A sorrowful ode to his former colleague and close friend, John Milton s Lycidas uses fruitful and fertile imagery to describe the watery death of his collegiate companion. Water in this poem functions both as it normally does, describing rebirth in a true baptismal fashion, and in an alternate way, in reference to the drowning and death of Edward King. The poem also takes time to discuss the malicious actions of the English clergymen, poetically described in traditional pastoralimagery, so in this way it is similar to what Milton does with the water imagery. Both are both traditional in one sense and a complete antithesis in another, while still using the same imagery. Lycidasbegins with a declaration of the writer s desire to achieve petty vengeance against nature. I come to pluck your berries harsh and crude, and with forced fingers rude, shatter your leaves before the mellowing year. (Lycidas, Line Three, Page 39) Edward King s death was early and unwarranted. He, like the unripe berries, was plucked crudely before he could reach his maturity. Milton channels his grief into anger, and needs to assign blame on some entity. Unfortunately for him nature lacks a corporeal form, so the attacks he is able to make are minor compared to the power over life nature possesses. A report that was released by the United States Justice Department on February 12, 2016, showed that a Florida man pleads guilty to a hate crime for threatening to firebomb two mosques and shoot worshippers. The 43 year old man by the name Martin Alan Schnitzler was arrested by the FBI on November 17, 2015, after he made numerous threats to shoot children in the head and firebomb a mosque in Petersburg, Florida. In his two recorded messages, Schnitzler said that he is watching the news report that covered the terrorist attacks in Paris. With the second child, the parents tend to be less attentive thus leading the child be more of a people pleaser and diplomatic (Connor, 2007) thus creating a follower style type. The last born child is thought as rebellious and displays a spoiled attitude not typically a leadership trait. As the family size increases, the parental resources are divided more sparsely among all children. Many factors such as birth order, siblings, genes and circumstances all unquestionably play a greater role in the development of a child s personality (Healey, 2007) thus impacting the type of leader displayed. According to Healey (2007), parents get excited about their first born child and tend to be overprotective, pay more attention, investments and high expectations on the child. It is understandable that parents may be able to expend more resources on the first born, especially in smaller families if there is a gap between the other siblings. Gordman s research (2008) supports the previously mentioned statements by showing the effect birth order has on educational attainment. Gordman (2008) confirms Grinberg s (2015) statements regarding the possibility that more resources are reserved for the first born. This research further proves that the first born has better resources and informal support to help increase the chances of being successful. For this paper, success is ... • 43. Pros And Cons Of Residential Solar Power This project is to identify the feasibility of residential solar power applications for the end user, and any pros/cons and cost analysis of any such undertaking. We will compile existing data to identify how much grid electricity the average US household uses, how much they pay per kilowatthour (kWh), and compare it to the cost of installing solar powersystem. Taking into consideration environmental effects, government incentives, and pure electricity cost savings over time, we will demonstrate that every American would benefit by moving from grid electricity to solar power, even if opting for a partial grid or grid tie in solar system. Citizens of the world have been gradually showing more and more concern for the environment especially ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Solar power is not consistent or reliable enough to be the only option for power. This technology relies totally on the sun so certain days we will be able to produce more power than others and at night we might not be able to produce any. Which is why we will not be able to completely sever the tie to conventional power generation. There has to be a method available to generate enough power to meet demand without available sunlight. Although as technology progresses we may soon be able to generate power from solar sources 24 hours a day. Modern solar power towers are being designed to store excess heat transfer medium underground during the day as its heated and recycling it at night to continue to generate steam for power production (Mills, 2004). But even with this ability we will not be able to go solely to solar power but it can still supplement existing power and drastically reduce the country s carbon ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Knee Replacement Case Study 001015 Mr. ___ [NAME] is a 49 year old white male, a patient of Dr. ___ [NAME], with a history of right knee replacement x 4, secondary to a gunshot wound in ___ [DATE]. Left knee, he has had multiple surgeries, primarily on the ligaments and I understand the meniscus. Also has right hip pain. The hip is probably related to his difficulty with the right knee. He has chronic pain in the knees. He has a need for testosterone as his labs are very low. PTSD, (___) anxiety. Really here today to follow up on the testosterone. Lab was drawn; other results are not yet available. His non fasting glucose today was 106 and the hemoglobin A1c that was done was 5.9. He does have some history of hyperglycemia, but I think there were primarily non fasting, he may just have some glucose intolerance. Complains primarily of knee pain and right hip pain. He is having erectile dysfunction, was given Viagra, and when he saw the urologist he was told that he needed testosterone, as it was quite low at 1.8.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 45. Everyday Use Of Electrons In Atoms Electrons in Atoms Electrons are the negatively charged particles that can be found in the atom. Electrons will be located around clouds that surround the nucleus of an atom. All Together the atom creates a negative charge that will make sure that it balances the positive charge of the protons in the atomic nucleus. These clouds are at a certain distance from the nucleus which is properly put into the shells. Due to the fact that electrons move so quickly it is impossible to see where they are at certain point in time. The overall shape of the shells change depending on how many electrons an element contains. The higher the atomic number the more higher the shells plus an electron of an atom will have. The main in electrons is the way that all the elements rely on each other without the negative charge is the positive will not be good in any use. The electrons are an everyday use to use because of the fact of electricity. The small particles flows through wires and circuits that create currents of electricity. Electrons flow from negative charged parts to the positive charged. The negative charge part of a circuit will have extra electrons, meanwhile the positive charge will want more electrons. When electrons move throughout ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The radiation will focus onto a narrow beam before passing a slit on the lead sheet. • 46. The Battle of Stalingrad Led to a Significant Loss to the... Stalingrad was a battle during World War II started on June 22 1941 that eventually led to a significant loss to the Axis forces. The battle started as retaliation from Adolf Hitler after his defeat in the Battle of Barbarossa. The Battle of Stalingrad was a battle of pride, morale and not based off of any tactical or strategic advantage. The battle raged on in four main operations that lasted only 199 days. This loss in Stalingrad dealt a significant blow to the Axis Powersthat would lead to the overall defeat of Adolph Hitler and his military during World War II. Operation Barbarossa; initiated by the Axis powers and they quickly advanced deep into Russia. The Axis Powers believed they could defeat the Soviet Unionas soon as the winter had passed but they began receiving heavy attacks during the winter with as much as 65% of the infantry being attacked. The Axis Powers had time to re equip and rest their forces prior to the end of the winter. Moscow was the end state for the operation and the Axis Powers used a Blitzkrieg style of warfare to attack the least obvious Point of Entry. Adolph Hitler expected the Soviet Union to surrender as soon as the end state became successfully captured. Hitler understood that taking Moscow would be very costly to his Armies. Hitler developed a plan to cut the Soviet Union of their fuel by taking the Caucasus Oil Fields. Operation Blau had the goal of capturing the Caucasus oil fields then continue to push his army south. Analysis of the Opening Sequences of Three James Bond Films Analysis of the Opening Sequences of Three James Bond Films Analyse the opening sequences of three James Bond films and explain why they are constructed in this way. James Bond has been running for forty years and has released twenty movies. My essay will analyse the following three James Bond movies: В· Dr No (Starring Sean Connery, first Bond movie made) В· A view to kill (Roger Moore) В· Golden Eye (Pierce Brosnan) For each of these movies I will analyse the opening scenes and explain why they are constructed in the manner that they are. In each of the three movies a different actor plays the Character of James Bond. In the first move (Dr No) James Bond is played by Sean ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... He while gambling receives an urgent phone call (the conversation is not heard, this adds to the movies suspense). The phone call as well as the camera shots emphasise his importance in the film. The clothes worn by James Bond (a tuxedo) are very glamorous and sophisticated. They also emphasise that he is important. A view to kill, the second James Bond movie to be analysed in this essay, has the same gun shot scene at the start, but the action in the movie is much better. This is probably due to the date of release (1985). Dr No was released in 1962. The difference is probably due to more advanced technology being available. A view to Kill focuses more on girls and action. The camera angles used in this movie also make the movie more exciting. The first scene in this film shows James Bond (Roger Moore) skiing in the Arctic looking for a microchip. He is dressed in white this may be a disguise to camouflage him (the snow he is skiing on is white) from the villains who are dressed in green. The shots in this screen are close up shots and extreme long shots. The extreme long shots emphasis the depth of the scene and also hide the stunt mans face from the audience. The close up shots are used to show discoveries made by James Bond i.e. the micro chip. The second scene in the opening

The Scarlet Pimpernel, a novel in the reign of terror in which the French Government abused but lost it, Ozymandias a ruler in the past lost power, and Viva la Vida about an abusive ruler who again lost power. Yet, they all have something in common. In the Scarlet Pimpernel, Viva la Vida, and Ozymandias each author uses personification to convey the idea that when power is overused, people are powerless in many ways, however the ruler or tyrant will eventually be powerless when time comes. • 50. The Development And Maintenance Of Civilization Essay Over the course of human history, order within society, through its many facets, has been considered to be a vital part of the development and maintenance of civilization. One such aspect of order, however, is arguably more important than all other characteristics: the creation and usage of social constructs. A social construct is defined as a social mechanism, phenomenon, or category created and developed by society, which aids in either the development or regression of society as a whole. While more commonly known constructs such as race and gendershape the mindsets of societies and civilizations as a whole over periods of time, the consequences of the existence of the construct itself can have both a positive or negative affect. Additionally, many social constructs are interconnected with each other, not exactly through topic matter but rather by the relationships and connections they establish with aspects of society and its influence upon it. However, race and gender are not the only constructs that shape mindsets and opinions, many lesser known ones also affect changes within society. Such examples include the constructs of higher educationand gender bias, two seemingly different aspects of society and ideals. However, although they do not explicitly mention each other, Linda Lee and Anne Fausto Sterling establish a clear connection between the two, especially in their dealings with societal development in their respective essays The Case Against College and ...
