INTRODUCTION:
We all hear about the 21
ST
Century skills and the need for the schools to prepare our
children, to solve the problems with creativity, competence and innovation. Science,
technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) is dominating the education canvass.
New Research clearly indicates that Emotional Intelligence
is the most determining factor of success. This is often one critical area of development
that is missing from the vision: teaching children how to build creative, intuitive, trusting
and collaborative relationships with others.
How can children develop all the necessary skills to succeed in life? As pointed out by
Harvard Business Review “Empathy is considered to be vital skill of the 21st century “.
What can be done to build this skill?

BE A CHANGE MAKER
EMPATHY: AN INGREDIENT OF SOCIAL-EMOTIONAL LEARNING
 Our Social-emotional-learning program focus on developing an individual’s self-
awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills and responsible
decision-making. Learning to recognize, understand, manage and express emotions
is seen as key to building healthy relationships and achieving academic, career and
life goals. Through Empathy Toolkit, we help individuals learning the basics of
Empathy.
EMPATHY: A LEVEL AHEAD
 People who work with little children may have Sympathy but that is not enough to
create wonderful humans. The objective of this Curse is to ‘Nurture Empathy in Schools,
and learning centers, going above and beyond the standards that are applied in
academic settings. The aimhere is to engage, motivate, discipline, empower and
encourage children through a process of Emotional mastery.

PROGRAM OBJECTIVES :
As a result of attending the “Empathy in the classroom” participants will:
 Understand the Emotional intelligence (EI) competency framework.
 Interpret an assessment of their current EI competencies.
 Utilize techniques for increasing their level of self-awareness.
 Understand how emotions can influence thoughts, behavior, goals, decision–making at
work and personal relationships.
 Make the link between emotional intelligence and leadership effectiveness
 Demonstrate the ability to write effective development plans that develop emotional
intelligence competencies.
 Will be better prepared to modify their emotional response patterns.
 Recognize the Importance of Empathy as the most important teaching skill of the 21ST
Century – nurture & grow this skill-set
 Design Empathy based Activities.
 Understand how Emotions drive innovation and creativity.
 Stress Management around Children & techniques to overcome it
 Develop a new school culture based on strong Socio-Emotional development

  • 1. “Nurturing Empathy in Schools” – Bringing Socio Cultural Revolution through Educators COURSEOVERVIEW INTRODUCTION: We all hear about the 21 ST Century skills and the need for the schools to prepare our children, to solve the problems with creativity, competence and innovation. Science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) is dominating the education canvass. New Research clearly indicates that Emotional Intelligence is the most determining factor of success. This is often one critical area of development that is missing from the vision: teaching children how to build creative, intuitive, trusting and collaborative relationships with others. How can children develop all the necessary skills to succeed in life? As pointed out by Harvard Business Review “Empathy is considered to be vital skill of the 21st century “. What can be done to build this skill? Learn and explore the journey of Empathy with us and see how you can change the world… BE A CHANGE MAKER EMPATHY: AN INGREDIENT OF SOCIAL-EMOTIONAL LEARNING
  • 2.  Our Social-emotional-learning program focus on developing an individual’s self- awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills and responsible decision-making. Learning to recognize, understand, manage and express emotions is seen as key to building healthy relationships and achieving academic, career and life goals. Through Empathy Toolkit, we help individuals learning the basics of Empathy. EMPATHY: A LEVEL AHEAD  People who work with little children may have Sympathy but that is not enough to create wonderful humans. The objective of this Curse is to ‘Nurture Empathy in Schools, and learning centers, going above and beyond the standards that are applied in academic settings. The aimhere is to engage, motivate, discipline, empower and encourage children through a process of Emotional mastery.  INSTRUCTIONAL METHODS: Language: English Format: Lecture Power Point Presentation Round Table Discussion sessions Activity based sessions Group Projects PROGRAM OBJECTIVES : As a result of attending the “Empathy in the classroom” participants will:  Understand the Emotional intelligence (EI) competency framework.  Interpret an assessment of their current EI competencies.  Utilize techniques for increasing their level of self-awareness.  Understand how emotions can influence thoughts, behavior, goals, decision–making at work and personal relationships.  Make the link between emotional intelligence and leadership effectiveness  Demonstrate the ability to write effective development plans that develop emotional intelligence competencies.  Will be better prepared to modify their emotional response patterns.
  • 3.  Recognize the Importance of Empathy as the most important teaching skill of the 21ST Century – nurture & grow this skill-set  Design Empathy based Activities.  Understand how Emotions drive innovation and creativity.  Stress Management around Children & techniques to overcome it  Develop a new school culture based on strong Socio-Emotional development
