· In this lesson, Activities organized through the combination of audio,
photocopies and flashcards enhance language learning and acquisition.

sitting in pairs and in groups in order to facilitate the interaction with
their classmates and the teacher.

different language items by observing pictures/objects or listening to
their names. I will provide them with the necessary input so that they
may achieve the proposed.
ROUTINE 5’:
- Purpose: to get students into the mood of work and to establish rapport
with them.
I’ll get into the classroom and greet students: T: “Hello students!” S: “Hi
teacher” T: “how are you today?” S: “Fine and you?” T: “I am fine”
I’ll ask students: “What date is today?” I will repeat is it Monday? No it isn’t,
is it Tuesday? No it isn’t, is it Wednesday? ( I will nod to them) yes it is. I will
write on the board the date
Transition:
Ok, so now we are going to work with your folder and we are going to do a
listening activity.
WARM UP 15’:
-Purpose: to introduce the topic and the teaching points.
Teacher will use their students’ book in order to revise the previous
vocabulary and to present the new one. Students will listen to a short
recording in which they have to complete the missing information. (It’s going
to be their first listening so the teacher will have to play it more than 2 or 3
times)
4. Students will look at the photos on their books and will try to identify what
the pictures are about. Then, they will predict the missing information.
Students might use their L1 to answer
Ss look at the photo and try to identify what it is about (a presentation of the A & T group).
Then, they talk about the information it offers (name, age, school year). Ss predict the
missing ages and years of each character. Check Ss understand Yr stands for year. Ss
listen to Track 13 and double-check their answers.
Ok, so now let`s open your student book. What can you see here? What
information is missing? I will ask students and elicit from them the missing
information.
I will play the listening 3 times and then I will play it for a 4th time and stop it
in the important parts so learners can complete in case they did not do it.

Laura is in the Art & Techno project. She’s in Year 3 at school. She’s 14 years old. Lucas
isn’t in Year 3. How old is he? He’s 15. He is in Year 4 and he’s in the A & T Project too.
Mat is 13 years old and he’s in Year 2. Olivia is 12 but she’s in Year 2! How old is Patty?
She’s 15 and she’s in Year 4.
Teacher will check that students have completed the activity. Then, teacher
will say out loud the information so learners can repeat after her.
Ok, so she is Laura. She is in Art and techno. She is 14 years old. He is Lucas.
He is in Art and Techno. He is 15 years old.
5. Transition
The teacher will show students a set of flashcards with the different school
projects and she will ask them if they know what they are. OK, you know what
these are. Sts will probably will not know the meaning of the words due to
their English level.
ok, so I have here some pictures. Do you know what they are. Are they people?
No? right, are they subjects and school projects? Yes, right.
PRESENTATION 25’:
- Purpose:
● to incorporate new vocabulary.
● to expose to the learners to the target language using a real context.
● to foster to comprehension of the target language through oral
questions and answers.
T will present the school project and subject vocabulary by using flashcards
Studens might answer by using L1 because of the English level
Teacher will stick them on the board and will number each of the school
project vocabulary and subjects. After this, the teacher will say out loud each
of the subjects and students will try to guess what subject it is by saying the
number that each flashcard has next to it.
The teacher will show students the name of one school project and they will
try to guess what school project is. Teacher will stick the name under each
picture. Some students might use their L1 to answer

6. Then, the T says aloud the new vocabulary again and learners repeat after
her. As students are repeating after her, she will take out the names of the
subjects from the board.

Ok, so now, I will give you a copy and you have to complete it. You have to
write the name under each picture

9. Teacher will check the copy by asking to different students their answer and
will stick under each subject picture the names again. Teacher will ask
learners to repeat after her.
DEVELOPMENT 25’:
- Purpose:
● To foster to contextualized practice of the teaching points.
Teacher will ask students to go back to their students´ book in order to listen
to the previous listening again and complete the following activity on their
folder.
After this, teacher will ask learners to continue working with their folder
and complete activity number three in which they have to match the
vocabulary with the illustrations.
Teacher will check students´ answers.
Ok, now we are going to listen to the previous listening again and you have to circle the
correct option. Ok? Great
10. Teacher ask learners to look at activity three and repeat after her the project
vocabulary and then teacher asks learners to listen to match the illustrations
with the words.
Ok, now you have to match the pictures with the numbers. For example, Drama is
number .......

11. Teacher writes on board as an example the short description of one of them
so students can follow the example. Students have to work in pairs and are
asked to write on their notebooks the short descriptions of each picture.
Ok, so you have on the board four pictures and some information. Is this the name?
yes? Great, and this is the age? Yes? Well done and this is the subject she is in? Yes!
Teacher tries to elicit from students the type of information that it has been
written on board and then teacher says orally how learners have to write
the short description on their notebooks. Teacher also writes on board a
short description so learners can follow the given example.

T: “Excellent students!!! Do you want to play a game? You can sit in two big
groups.
CLOSURE 10’:
The teacher will invite students to sit in two big groups. The teacher will ask
one volunteer of each group to go next to the board. Teacher will stick on
board the name of all the subjects and school projects. Then, the teacher will
show the picture of the subject and the first student who touches the correct
name wins.
T: we are going to play a game I need one volunteer from each group. This group
is red and this group is blue. I will show you a picture and you have to touch the
name of the subject. Ok? First, let’s practise and then we start. The group can
help your classmate. If you touch correctly, you have one point.

The teacher will give a copy to complete in their houses.
