Nike plus digital strategy

Editor's Notes

  1. the main mission of the campaign is to increase Nike Plus brand awareness digitally. This brand is going to be EVERYWHERE. Throughout this campaign we are going to create a digital identity that will increase the overall brand image and awareness. It’s going to be easy to understand, easy to navigate, and most importantly, easy to share.
  2. Nike is an active, exciting, and competitive brand. These are all qualities that our audience has – and it’s essential to remember that when we’re trying to reach and engage our audience.
  3. The use of google analytics will be useful in tracking and measuring success, which will definitely be implemented throughout the entire digital marketing strategy. When measuring success, it’s also essential to be constantly be observing and reporting on the number of views, likes, favorites, shares, etc. This will be a huge indicator on how much traffic and attention the actual campaign is receiving.
  4. –Link Facebook with Twitter & Instagram, so all posts, links, photos, contests, etc. are cohesive across all social media outlets
–The cover photo should change seasonally, or cohesively with real-time events.
–Link/post articles that mention Nike Plus
–“Like” our fan’s pictures, start conversations, reply in a timely manor
–Geotag our posts (shows where we’re working, and who we’re working with) 
  5. This is how we are going to increase Twitter awareness:-Using hashtags in all of our tweets
-Linking Instagram & Twitter
-Favorite & Retweet tweets that mention or involve Nike Plus
-Retweet tweets that incorporate the success of our audience
-Regularly interacting and hosting conversations with our followers via Twitter
-Including pictures with our tweets as much as possible 
  6. Engaging the new generation
–Re-instagram pictures of our audience using Nike Plus
–Incorporate instagram video more
–Photo contestsExample:
Our followers could hashtag  #NikePlusPhotoContest  with a picture they took that incorporate Nike Plus. We choose a winner with the best/most creative picture, and the prize could be free Nike Merchandise or store credit.
  7. Hashtags are what will ultimately connect us to our community and audience. It’s a powerful and effective way to advertise, promote, and engage. Getting creative with hashtags is original and fun – but sometimes using the more general hashtags is what will really get our content and brand out there.
  8. It’s important to stay within our budget – but utilize all of the tools and promotional methods in the most effective way with the budget we have.
  9. Through engagement and interaction with our audience, the Nike Plus brand will be launched, recognized, and most importantly respected across the globe. Through generating traffic and improving awareness, sales will increase and so will the Nike Plus reputation and corporate image. Each segment of this campaign will work to keep our brand in front of our current audience, prospective audience and our brand advocates.
