Precision in critical operation like planting is required to
maintain accurate plant population for higher yields
Include Pneumatic Planters and other equipment as Maize
mechanization set for eligibility for Subsidy under SMAM.
 Alternatively Tractor and planter could be on Planting set
maize to be put under subsidy schemes in key states
Extension work by Manufacturers, State Govt. and Agri.
Universities .
Skill enhancement training centers at district level for all stake
holders, viz farmers, operators, technicians and Agri. Students.
