Abstract
Here we report the fabrication of a flexible all carbon field effect transistor (FET)
using a low cost, recyclable and biodegradable cellulose paper as both substrate as
well as dielectric and pencil graphite as source, drain, channel and gate without
using any other expensive, toxic or non biodegradable materials. The electron and
hole mobility s of FET are observed to be 180 and 200 cm2v 1s 1 respectively
which are comparable to the recently reported values of paper FET with polymer
dielectric and cellulose composite dielectrics. The FET was utilized as a strain
sensor which shows good sensitivity for low strains of both tensile and compressive
type. The mobility of the FET increases with increase in compressive strain and
decreases with increase in tensile strain. The sensitivity of the FET sensor increases
with the increase in the gate voltage.

Electrical equipments generate heat over time while functioning, if the situation is
not noticed and taken care of properly machine malfunction may occur, which could
cause severe damage to devices or even people. So measuring ambient temperature
and temperature of equipments frequently become a crucial procedure in industries
and other places where temperature must be kept in a certain range. But while people
is far away from the equipment or specific environment, real time monitoring of and
response to any temperature changes become troublesome.
In this project a temperature alarm SMS notifier is designed to realize the functions
of remote supervision and real time control of the temperature change under specific
circumstances. The variation of temperature is detected by the temperature alarm
circuit, when the change exceeds a default value, LEDs on the fire alarm circuit board
will flash, and then the board will send an alert message to the preset mobile phone
number to notify the user about the incident. The alert notification part involves an
Arduino Uno board, which is a relevantly new but one of the most versatile hardware
computing platform and development environment for software in the past decade.
Connecting an Arduino Uno board together with a GPRS shield and a shield with
LEDs would allow the entire circuit having the function mentioned above and work

The book Dracula by Abraham Stoker is filled with many intriguing topics and
themes such as sexuality and gender. These topics and the way they are addressed
in the book were very controversial when published on May 26, 1897 and were seen
as scandalous by its readers. Through this book, Bram Stoker made the idea of
vampires become a relevant part of popular culture as it is today and allowed them
to be interpreted as figures symbolizing sex and the transference of disease. During

Do people know second hand smoke not only affects the person smoking, but it also
affects the people around them? Not everyone is aware of the risks of second hand
smoke nor how it can effect their future. Second hand smoke is an issue that affects
everyone and everybody around it such as unborn children, children, adults, non
smokers and should be avoided as much as possible.
What exactly is second hand smoke? Second hand smoke is a combination of
burning tobacco and the exhaled smoke. Not only is first hand smoke harmful, but
second hand smoke is as bad if not worse for a person. Smoke in general smells badly,
can irritate people s eyes or nose, sticks to clothing or materials, can make someone
s hair smell, and other things as well. Everyone should avoid second hand smoke as
much as possible.
First comes the unborn children that are affected by adults that expose them to
second hand smoke. Women who smoke during pregnancy risk their unborn child by
smoking and their child receiving the second hand smoke in the womb. Second hand
smoke can cause birth defects, low birth weight, SIDS, and many other problems.
One birth defects includes clef lip or pallet caused by second hand smoke while in
the womb. Women who smoke while pregnant risk health issues that are just unfair to
the unborn child who cannot make its own choices yet.

Students may not be able to go to school because of the CTU Strike that is currently
in progress today (The Washington Post). The issue between the Chicago Teachers
Union and Chicago Public Schools has not been solved yet due to disagreements
about the income received. The Chicago Teachers Union has made offers to school
administrations; however, the responses were not in their favor. The union has
been in progress of agreeing on a contract since November 2011, [and the strike
that occurred at the time] was the first to hit the Windy City in 25 years
(Liebelson). The issue must have erupted due to a misconception or a realization of
problems occurring. Chicago Teachers Union choosing to strike does not affect
charter schools since they are not a part of Chicago Public Schools. The issue of
school strikes can be fixed by increasing the budgets and providing useful resources
to teachers in order to improve the level of education.
The Chicago Teachers Union (CTU) Strike in 2012 affected every single Chicago
Public School and their Students in 2012. The strike affected about 600 public
schools which is over 350, 000 students. The CTU began negotiating their contract
with CPS in November of 2011, but their demands were not met. Since the
negotiating did not solve the issue, the Chicago Teachers Union chose to organize a
strike for the first time in Chicago in 25 years.
