Foo Foo, a 3.2 kg domestic short hair feline, tested positive for feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) and was euthanized. On gross examination, Foo Foo had multiple healed skin lesions, parasites in the jejunum, otitis externa, and red bone marrow. Although FIV likely contributed to Foo Foo's susceptibility to secondary infections, the virus had not progressed to a chronic state. The firm area on the lung and healed corneal ulcer were possibly due to prior infections, while trauma best explained hemorrhage of the right testicle.
