Realism In The Industrial Revolution
The Industrial Revolution started during the mid nineteenth century. It was the major influence for
the rise of Realism in the arts. Realism is a style of art that portrays the hardship and reality in life
during the 1800s. Realism helped artists to express their feelings in a more realistic way, compared
to the earlier style, Romanticism, which mainly contours imaginations and emotions. The Industrial
Revolutionfacilitated the development of factories leading to. Realism artists were eager to express
their feeling of dissatisfaction toward the Industrial Revolution in their artworks. The rise of
Realism in arts was mainly caused by the Industrial Revolution during the mid 19th century, due to
the harsh living conditions which stimulate people... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

the same carriage. The Third Class Carriage by Honore Daumier, is a painting showing a tightly
packed crowd of working class men and women, which convey their hardship during the time. It
is also shown on their expressions, clothing, and postures. The First Class Carriage also by
Daumier, showed no physical contact and people sat apart from each other, which showed the
differences between social classes. These two paintings by the same person strongly reflected the
lives between different social classes. The upper class was able to afford a much bigger carriage and
have more personal space. In contrast, the lower class was forced to be squeezed inside a small
carriage. The lower class mostly workers in factories were paid very little, therefore, they were only

Driving Cars Are On The Way
Self driving cars are on the way. Soon, you ll be able to purchase a fully autonomous vehicle, jump
in and leave the driving to computers. Play games, read a book or recline your seat and nap your
self driving car will transport you safely to your journey s end.
Autonomous driving features such as adaptive cruise control and lane keeping assist are already
included in many new vehicles, offering motorists a harbinger of what s to come.
By 2020, the first fully autonomous vehicles are expected to deploy on America s roadways.
Consumers, however, are not sharing the same enthusiasm owned by self driving proponents of
autonomous vehicle technology. Indeed, three out of four Americans surveyed by AAA say that
they are afraid to ride in a self driving vehicle.
Decades of Autonomous Vehicle Testing
Before we examine the AAA survey, we need to gain context based on background.
Experiments on self driving vehicles have been ongoing for decades. For example, beginning in the
1980s, a German researcher at a Munich university, Ernst Dickmanns, built the world s first robotic
car. Those earlier models required human intervention to control engine throttle and braking. By
1995, Dickmanns team launched the first fully autonomous vehicle, a Mercedes Benz S Class and
inaugurated it on a 1,000 mile round tripper from Munich to Denmark and back, including nearly
100 miles of human free control.(2)
That watershed mission was accomplished without incident and led to other

How The Protagonist s Future In Boys And Girls By Alice Munro
Boys and Girls is a short story, by Alice Munro, which illustrates a tremendous growing period
into womanhood, for a young girl living on a fox farm in Canada, post World War II. The young
girl slowly comes to discover her ability to control her destiny and her influences on the world. The
events that took place over the course of the story helped in many ways to shape her future. From
these events one can map the Protagonists future. The events that were drawn within the story
provided the Protagonist with a foundation to become an admirable woman.
Throughout the story there are several aspects of the Protagonist s character that play a major role
in the shaping of her future. During her childhood she ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

and passion fueled her future and her goals, setting her in the direction of success. The Protagonist
s ability to comfort herself, her pride, her passion and depth she could harness powered her into the
direction of excellence in her adult years.
Throughout the story the Protagonist demonstrates a very unbalanced relationship with her family
members. She feels intimidated by the world around her and turns her lack of knowledge into
knowledge by controlling and influencing her younger brother Laird. She does so by telling him
stories and exposing him to experiences she claims to be familiar with. In her later years her
relationship with her brother becomes strong as they both realize they can benefit from each other
s experiences and differences. As a child the Protagonist viewed her father as God like because
he had control and organization over the lives and deaths of the foxes. In essence he became her
hero as she admired his control over the animals. In her future relationship with her father she
came to see that he was simply a business man and she made a great attempt to form a deeper
relationship with her father. As she began to understand he was simply human and was no longer
fearful of him. Her relationship with

Marine Environment Essay
Introduction
Australia is one of the main coal producing countries in the world, ranking the first in coal export
and the fourth in the coal production in 2012 (International Energy Agency 2012). On global scale,
coal accounted for a third of primary energy needs and 41.1% of electricity generation in 2014,
when its production reached 8022.5 Mt (World CoalAssociation 2015).
Steps involved in coal industry have shown to pollute the marine environment by various means.
Unburnt coal may escape into marine environment during natural erosion of coal seams, slumping
and runoff from storage areas, spills and accidents during loading and transport (Achten and
Hofmann 2009; Gibson, Atkinson, and Gordon 2005) affecting marine life physically and ... Show

In fact, coal spills are not rare (Queensland Government 2017a,b,c; Willacy 2017; NSW
Environment Protection Authority 2017, 2015, 2014). The Independent Expert Scientific
Committee on Coal Seam Gas and Large Coal Mining Development (IESC) focuses on impacts of
coal seam gas and coal mining development on aquatic ecosystems (Commonwealth of Australia
2017), while impacts on marine ecosystems receive little attention. Therefore, this study could
enhance our understanding of impacts of coal industry on marine organisms and provide scientific
support for future environmental impact assessments.
Aims
1. To understand effects of coal particles on shellfish survival and growth rates
2. To compare effects of different concentration of coal on shellfish survival and growth rates
3. To understand the accumulation rate of PAHs from coal particles into shellfish
Methods
We will set up four tanks, each with 10 Plebidonax deltoides and 10 Vasticardium vertebratum on
sandy sediment with continuous seawater flow. We will add thermal coal particles of different
amounts into three tanks to simulate coal spill and leave the remaining tank as a control.
Before the experiment, we will measure PAHs concentrations in shellfish samples, weight and
length of each individual, and the total suspended solids in water. During the experiment, we will
measure the weight and dimension of each individual and the total

Role of Criminology in Determining the Emerging Patterns...
How Criminology has sought to explain Corporate Crime?
Abstract
Throughout the past years, there has been a growing propensity in criminology to explain emerging
patterns of corporate crime within the United States by referring solely to different things like
dysfunctional families or dysfunctional persons. Other criminologists have really interrogated these
latter methods as separating individuals and crime from the social organizations that cover them.
This paper will discuss how criminology has pursued to explain exactly what corporate crime has
become. How Criminology has sought to explain Corporate Crime?
Introduction
In criminology, corporate crime denotes to crimes that are done either by a corporation (a
business unit having a separate legal character from the natural persons that achieve its actions), or
by individuals acting on behalf of a corporation or other business entity. White Collar crime is a
quickly arising topic in the field of criminal justice. Recently, it has just been dubbed very popular
with cases that are high profile like the companies of Enron and Martha Stewart. In the book,
Controversies in White Collar Crime by Gary W. Potter, author of the book thinking about Crime
Professor James Q. Wilson, discharges the significance of white collar crime . He makes the point
that four different views of why white collar crime is not considered real corruption or should be
taken as life threatening as the so called conventional crime that goes on

Homework Persuasive Essay
Are you happy with your job right now? Do you wish that you did something beneficial for
yourself in school? Do you even use any of the stuff you learned in school in your today life? I
very much believe that the homework given for school is honestly inconsiderate, time consuming,
and it s unethical. I stand by these factors for many reasons. As much as I see why it s given, I do
indeed believe that the reasons pushed against it are more important than the latter. Regardless, here
is my reasoning of why homework is inconsiderate to students, timeconsuming for them, and
unethical to their lives. I wish that parents that make their kids do homework would take a
second and look at what they re doing. And if that doesn t seem beneficial to them, they are being
inconsiderate as those kids, young or older, are being piled with work that they will never use in
the rest of their lives. Especially if that parent knows if their familyis struggling and still sending a
child to school to do things that will not benefit their family. Perhaps that family is struggling with
money, food, relationships, even lack of a shelter for them to stay. Most parents get this thing in
their head that if their child doesn t do all this work, then they will fail in life, but that child is
being filled with knowledge that makes them confused on what they actually wantto do. Then they
demand that you not only do the pile of useless work that holds that kid back from doing something

The Consumption Of Fats Plays A Key Role On The...
During pregnancy, the consumption of fats plays a key role in the development of the fetus. A
dietary fat is an essential nutrient that helps the body function by providing protection, fuel and
absorption for cells, tissues and organs. The fats consumed are Triglycerides and the mechanism
behind this process is for lipoprotein lipase (LPL) to break the triglycerides into smaller
components. They mostly contain fatty acids, cholesterol, fatsoluble vitamins and other lipids that
will be delivered to target tissues for performing activities, or stored as fat if not directly used. The
increased consumption of triglycerides can raise bloodlipid levels such as low density lipoprotein
(LDL) that promotes the risk of developing cardiovascular... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Over time, collected data from the third trimester (G130) of all pregnancies resulted in a significant
decrease in blood volume flow of the HFD maternal and the placental portion of the fetus.
The authors revealed that A, Uterine artery (Uta) PI is 0.74 in a representative control animal. B,
The Uta PI is 1.17 in a representative HFD S animal with a Doppler waveform that demonstrates
decreased diastolic flow consistent with increased vascular impedance when compared with A. (1)
The study is suggesting that the accumulation of fat molecules in the placenta restricted the blood
to flow through. Moreover, Insufficient oxygen and nutrients from the placental can interfere with
the growth of the fetus.
The immunohistochemistry, confirmed no TLR4 staining in the chorionic villous stroma in control
placentas. Conversely, there were increased levels of TLR4 staining in chorionic villous stroma and
syncytiotrophoblast in HFD placentas. (1) The TLR4 is a protein pathway responsible for
activating the fetus immune system by providing a supply of nutrients and protection. However,
constant irritation of circulating blood lipids within this pathway has changed the function of the
protein, becoming vulnerable to the hazardous environment. At the same time, the TLR4 in both
parts of the placenta of the mother and fetus has developed inflammation. Although this study was
on non human primates, we can still see similarities when comparing structures of the human
uterus. Critically,

The Ethics Of The Accounting Profession
Ethics in all forms is concerned with the good and bad, right and wrong in a situation. (Duska)
In life you will be placed in a situation where you have to make a choice. These situations are not
always black and white, in other words they do not have a clear answer. You will not know what
your reaction would be in any given situation until you are there and have to make the decision.
This is present in both our personal and professional lives. However, if you always follow the
guidelines set by God and treat all as you wish to be treated then more than likely you will make
a fair and impartial decision when necessary. The accounting profession is based on the honesty,
integrity, and word of those in this profession. That is truly who they are in the eyes of the
public and with this comes great responsibility to all those involved. We will be evaluating two
ethical systems in this paper and deciding which would be the most appropriate for the
accounting profession. The first ethical view that we will discuss is Deontology. Deontology
came from the writings of Immanuel Kant, a German philosopher. Deontology is defined as a
view that is based on what is fair over the consequences of the actions. Deontologists believe that
there are ethical guidelines that are universally applicable to all people. The actions should be
ethical even if the consequences are not favorable and should be based on rational thought. This
view is follows a line of professional

This gave rise to the popular microcontroller known as Arduino which is used in many electronic
design projects today. It works on the C language and its software and components are open source
Since James Watt s Steam Engine Governor, closed loop feedback control systems have evolved
into the development of the servo motor [1]. Small servo motors can now be purchased cheaply and
be controlled using Arduino. Johannes Heberlein came up with the idea to combine these
components into making a mechanical clock that writes out time, a.k.a. the Plotclock . This design
displays the all aspects of mechatronics and makes an interesting design for display and
entertainment purposes.

future, I hope to attend Ohio State University, Johns Hopkins University, or University of
Pennsylvania and study neuroscience or biomedical engineering. Currently, I am trying to build my
background in biomedical sciences and meet people with similar interests as me through the
Mechanisms of Human Health and Disease class. I hope to someday become a physician scientist

This paper will discuss the causes and symptoms of Lyme disease, as well as the molecular
pathway of its progression through three phases: the early localized stage, the early disseminated
stage, and the late disseminated stage.
3. In order to teach young kids about Lyme disease, I would use many visuals (such as pictures and
diagrams) and relatable comparisons.
For the disease background, I would start with a map of the United States and circle the most
common areas for Lyme disease occurrence, as well as Lyme, Connecticut, where the disease was
first discovered. I would then draw out a group of people who appear to be in pain, with swollen
joints and large rashes. These people would be examined by a doctor named Willy Burgdorfer, who
discovers a specific bacterium, Borrelia burgdorferi, that is causing their suffering
(bayarealyme.org). To conclude the background discussion, I would show the students maps that
indicate the prevalence of Lyme disease, and how they have changed from the 1980s to the present
to reflect an increase in cases.
In order to show how the disease is contracted, I would reference a map of the United States and
review the most common areas for Lyme disease occurrence. I would proceed to discuss various
outdoor activities, which would allow the students to understand that Lyme disease can be picked

Persuasive Essay On Eyewitness Testimony
Eyewitness accounts have long been used since the beginning of modern courtroom justice as
evidence to condemn or liberate and eyewitnesses were once considered quintessential in
proceedings. Recently, however, the accuracy of these types of accounts is being tested.
Psychological and statistical research affirms that eyewitness testimony is inaccurate most of the
time, whether significantly or partly, and many innocent people have wrongfully suffered because
of these errors. For this reason, eyewitness information should not be used as the sole form of
evidence in prosecution, however it should still be used in the courtroom. Better interrogation
methods should be utilised by policedepartments to gain as much accurate information from
witnesses as possible and to mitigate the amount of inconsistency and outright error in witness
statements. Law schools, police departments and jurors should be educated about the psychology
behind eyewitness errors, different external causes of error and forms of error. Since the late 20th
Century, DNA analysis has proven eyewitness identificationto be faulty at best such as in the well
known case of Ronald Cotton and Jennifer Thompson in 1984. In this instance, Thompson was
certain that Cotton was the man that raped her, pointing him out first in a photo line up then
subsequently in a live line up (Innocence Project, 2017). 10 years after Cotton was wrongfully
found guilty, he was acquitted due to DNA analysis that indicated he was not

The Relationship Between Anaerobic Exercise And Aerobic...
The relationship between anaerobic exercise and aerobic capacity Introduction
Adenosine triphosphate (ATP) is an important organic molecule in all living organisms, it is a
biologist fuel for all living organisms.(Vanputte et al. 2014) When the energy stored in ATP is used,
ATP will be broken down to adenosine triphosphateand inorganic phosphorous (Astrand 1956).
Cell Respiration is the way that the human body produces more ATP, and there are four parts in
total which is glycolysis, Link Reaction, Krebs cycle and Electron Transport Chain respectively.
However, if when oxygen is not present in the cell, then the private undergoes alcoholic
fermentation and lactate formatted in the process of anaerobic respiration (Peeters Weem et al.
2007).
While physical activities of moderate intensity (e.g. Marathon and swimming) are supported by
aerobic metabolism, a high intensity activity (e.g. 100m race) is an anaerobic metabolism process
because the human body muscle needs a large amount of energy in a short period of time, and the
lungs cannot put enough oxygen in the blood steam to keep up the need of muscle energy. It
generally is used only for short bursts of the body. (BrianMac Sports Coach 2011)
There is a positive proportion between demands on the aerobic energy system during physical
activity and demands for oxygen delivered to the muscles. Generally, increase the demands on
aerobic energy also increase the demands for oxygen delivered to the muscle (Medbo and Tabata
1993).

Causes and Effects of Global Warming Essay
As Robert Frost once said, Some say the world will end in fire, some say in ice. From what I ve

warming. Global warming can be defined as an increase in the earth s average atmospheric
temperature that causes corresponding changes in climateand that may result from the greenhouse
effect. During the past 10,000 years the earthhas been in an ever growing cycle that has significantly
changed the climate. These changes are becoming more prevalent in our world today in the past

Aerosols have two major effects on the climate. They include direct and indirect radiation. The
cooling or warming of the atmosphere due to the reflective or absorbent properties of the
particles are considered direct effects. Reflective particles cool the atmosphere by scattering
energy from the sun back into space. Absorbent particles have the opposite effect. They add to
atmospheric heating by absorbing the sun s energy. (Calipso Outreach) An indirect effect of
aerosols is their roles on cloud condensation nuclei, CCN. The use of aerosols has a huge
relationship with the amount of CCN present in a cloud. Clouds with more CCN, from the higher
use of aerosols, are larger and more reflective than those with fewer CCN (Calipso Outreach).
Since the clouds are more reflective, light is being trapped in the earth s atmosphere. Ultimately
creating the earths temperature to rise. In Calipso Outreach they explain, The particles pushed into
the atmosphere from a dust storm are made of minerals with both reflective and absorbent
properties. The ability of the particles to absorb sunlight is thought to have a net warming effect on
area of the atmosphere they occupy. The particles from the dust storm get trapped up in the earth s
atmosphere, creating almost a mirror for sunlight to be reflected by. With the more sunlight being
reflected, the hotter the temperature will be on Earth. Aerosols are a huge cause of global

important factor in the influence the Chinese civilization had in Japan. Buddhist monks were
considered high standing men in China; this was because of the fact that after the chaotic Han

warlords. Buddhism was first introduced in Korea, and reached the Japanese emperor through
scriptures sent by a Korean ruler who tried to persuade him to implement this religion in society.
This was followed by intense debate within the island which lasted for more than half a century,
but eventually, in the late 580 s, it was officially adopted as the standard religion in the Yamato

BRAND LOYALTY/STORE LOYALTY
France is now about brand loyalty since most of the people go to grocery stores to do their
shopping. There are no real differences between grocery stores, and they almost all fight for prices,
proposing the same brands, so comparison is easy. Nevertheless, French people don t like to change
the brands that they consume. That is why new brands have to be very persuasive and incentive by
proposing samples, coupons etc.
The french market is particular concerning the way it strives to inform customers. There are a lot
of regulations and legal rules that have to be respected in order to communicate. For example, it
is forbidden to advertise cigarettes or books everywhere, and movies anywhere else other than on
a poster. Nevertheless, the french population has a good access to the traditional media and half of
the population uses internet at least once a day . The literacy rate is close to 100% and the country

Essay on Media s Portrayl Of Women
Media in today s society is constantly degrading women and sending negative messages about the
ways in which women should be treated; women are becoming objectified in the sense that they
are seen as objects with little value. The media, which seems to endlessly show women as sexual
objects, limits their potential and damages their sense of selfworth.
More often than not the media depicts the way people go about their daily life. People look at the
media to determine how they should dress, act and in some cases even how they should perform
sexually. ...there are the fashion magazines that focus on beauty, attracting and satisfying men, self
improvement, and (occasionally) work and politics. Examples are Vogue (emphasizing fashion...

Just like in the song Sexy Bitch when Akon states Im trying to find the words to describe this
girl without being disrespectful many men today are having the same problem. It is not too often
that women hear the words beautiful, gorgeous, or lovely, instead they hear hot, sexy, or somkin
. This is shown again in Akon s song when his whole chorus is Damn You s a sexy bitch, a sexy
bitch. Many music videos have women being portrayed as ravenous women who want sex at all
times. (Dreamworlds 3) They send out the message that women are just there as sexual objects and
are nothing more than females seeking male attention. (Dreamworlds 3) The music video s always
show women hanging off of men, and doing anything they have to in order to get attention.
Most music videos are fairly predictable in the ways they sexualize women, sometimes in
violent ways. As in movies women are generally present in music videos to be looked at. (Shaw
and Lee, p507) It is examples like these that are damaging to a women s sense of self worth.
Although some women may fall into this trap and accept that they are looked at as sexual
objects for men, many will not. It is a disgrace that the media can have such a damaging effect on
a women s sense of self worth. Society as a whole watches these videos and listens to these songs,
and if this is the way that society is portraying women, then this is the way women are going to
look at themselves.
Although the media serves as the central

Art history essay on Adopting an approach
Martin Robertson and Mary Beard s manuscript, Adopting an Approach, focuses on the study of
Athenian pottery. The manuscript begins, by describing Sir John Beazley and his revolutionary
method of studying Greek vases. The Beazley Method focuses on the technical conventions of
Greek Vases such as naming the artist, dating the pieces and then grouping them based off of
similar characteristics. Beazley provided for the first time a comprehensive framework of analysis
for Athenian painting, and a way of dating and classifying. (Pg. 16) However, what Beard s main
argumentsuggests is that it is not the artists that help us understand the importance of the vases
because even if a vase is assigned to a specific time period or artist, there is... Show more content on

This particular kylix is a good example because it shows how the women contradict each other and
through this piece we can understand the jobs of each type of woman and we can speculate how
they balanced one another out in Athenian society.
Adopting an Approach has many strong arguments and claims throughout the manuscript.
Particularly in the beginning, Beard does a great job of enticing the assumed college level reader
and relating to that specific audience. She does this when explaining, understanding the images
around us, by talking about a French perfume advertisement. By doing this, she relates to the age
group that would be reading this manuscript by combining something that they might be familiar
with, to something they are unfamiliar with. Although this is initially a strong way to go about
attracting the reader, it needs to be done at the right moments. On pages fourteen and fifteen, she
gives many more unrelated examples, which ultimately, causes the reader to forget the original
point trying to be made. Beard s claim needed to be made quicker, before the reader loses sight of
what the article is about. If this article were to be published in the Undergraduate s Guide to Art
History, I would eliminate a lot of the extra examples that aren t necessary to get

Nerds And Geeks Perception Of Masculinity In Society
When we hear the words nerds and geeks, it is often those studious, witty, socially awkward,
scrawny and wimpy or sometimes chubby guys that may come to mind. What purpose does your
average geek serve to society? Beyond the fact of knowledge some may find useless, making great
group partners (carrying the majority of group workload), and being the butt end of endless jokes
and bullying, what importance do they hold? Society yells without speaking that we need more

How Did Aristophanes Make Lysistrata A Crude Comedy
Aristophanes
Aristophanes was a comic writer who lived between 450 and 385 BC and composed about forty
plays in his lifetime. His plays were all comedies, which usually addressed very serious political
and social issues in a direct and crude manner, which, like much of today s comedy, is what made
them funny for the audience to watch and appreciate. Many of the comedies would even go as far as
mocking members of the audience or making personal attacks upon contemporary political
personalities. Aristophanes Lysistrata is no exception to this crudecomedy, ridiculing what he thinks
is the absurdity of the Peloponnesian War. The comedy is a brilliantly constructed piece with an

The city state built blockades to resist occupation by the Athenian army and sparked revolt
elsewhere in the area, in Chalcidice and Bottiaea. Since negotiations failed, the Athenians sent
troops into the region by ship. However the Athenians also had their hands full with the
Macedonians in the same region and had difficulty suppressing the revolt. When Athens finally
made a treaty with Perdiccas, the Macedonian leader, she found herself betrayed as the
Macedonians joined alongside the Corinthians, who had come to the defense of the Potidaeans. In
spite of all of this, the Athenians were able to recapture control of most of the region with the
arrival of reinforcements. Seeing that their own citizens were now trapped, Corinth called a
meeting of the Peloponnesian assembly at Sparta. During this meeting the complaints against the
Athenian Empire reached their peak. After another meeting a month later the Peloponnesian
assembly decided that war was in order. However, it was winter and war did not begin immediately.
In fact the Spartans sent three different ambassadors to Athens over the course of the winter in an
attempt to secure peace. The Spartans demanded that the Athenians withdraw from Potidaea and
that all the city states in northern Greece be given their freedom. Pericles response to this demand

Normative Ethical Relativism
The objective of this essay is to provide reasons as to why normative ethical relativism provides an
unattractive view on the nature of morality and why it should be rejected. In order to see this
negative relationship, this essay will identify three features of this theory that makes it problematic.
The first problematic feature of normative ethical relativism is based on the claim that moral
principles cannot be validated on a universal level. This means that different cultures should be free
to establish their own principles and basic values as a foundation for morality. As a result, correct
moral principles are based on the views of the majority or predominant population. Therefore it
would be wrong for any minority group to criticise against the moral views held by the majority
population in a society at any given time because the minority will always be wrong in virtue by
default because they hold the minority view. It is easy to see why this feature is problematic. This
feature in practice leads to inequality and unfairness towards the people within a society. This may
result in minorities being faced with a great danger of being oppressed by the majority. An example
of this is Nazi Germany and the holocaust. This feature is contradictory with the main message
behind normative ethical relativism in terms promoting equality among all.
Because minority criticism against the views of the majority does happen, this feature of normative
ethical relativism is criticized

The big issue factory owners had was trying to find workers that were willing to work for a low

everyone was trying to make enough money to support their families. Poor children and their

Project Management Training Program Project
Project Management Training Project management has been defined as the process that
involves the application of different processes, methods, knowledge, experience and skills for
purposes of achieving the objectives of the project. On the other hand, a project is always
defined as a unique and a transient endeavor that is undertaken to achieve an organization s
planned goals that could be defined on the basis of outputs and benefits. The process of
managing a project entails the development of an effective project plan, a process that entails the
definition as well as the confirmation of the project goals and objectives. The plan also gives a
clear outline of how the project objectives will be achieved, identification of the tasks as well as
the quantification of all the needed resources. The plan also plays an important role in developing
an appropriate budget for the project as well as the most appropriate timeline that will be taken to
complete the project being carried out. The process of project managementalso includes a statement
of the most effective ways of implementing the project plan along with the best controls that will

Many times there is malicious intent behind such actions. These acts can include everything from

Driving Age Change
When someone wants to get clean from doing drugs there is always a withdrawal period. To get to
that withdrawal period the person must stop taking the drug they have been on. Whether the person
quits in a day or three months later, that person would still have to go through that withdrawal
period. This is similar to a teen starting to drive for the first time. The reasons why I think that the
drivingage limit shouldn t be changed is because people can still, get around the rules by waiting
until the age of eighteen to avoid the restrictions, the number of driver fatalities are decreasing
majorly, and because the number of crashes wouldn t diminish it would only put off the effect. For
instance, Delaying something from starting (much like the drug addict getting clean) won t change

Quotes Doesn T Always Mean A Thousand Different People

this would have a completely different meaning to you than what it once did.

Citizen Kane Innovative
How is Citizen Kane innovative and insightful?
Remarkably innovative and insightful films remain pertinent throughout time, reflecting timeless
human concerns. Orson Welles, in his 1941 landmark film and self described social document
Citizen Kane (CK), presents a critique of the American Dream and the shallow stereotypes it
conveys in his exploration of the nature of power and the inherent complexity of individuals,
through documenting the rise and fall of the newspaper mogul Kane. Welles concurrent synthesis of
ground breaking technical flair and form in exploring key concerns of the human condition
subsequently enables CK to achieve an exemplary textual integrity that facilitates the text s

The framing device of the quest to uncover the enigmatic Rosebud by the reporter Thompson,
whose shadowed face reflects his role as a metonym for us as Welles audience, thus moulds our
understanding of the difficulty in attaining an individual s finite identity. Thompson s realisation
of Rosebud as a missing piece [of a jigsaw puzzle], and that, I don t think any word can explain a
man s life, in which a chiaroscuro lit jigsaw puzzle, juxtaposed against the shadowed faces of the
reporters, highlights the reality of Kane s permanently fragmented and thus shadowed identity.
Moreover, Welles reveals Rosebud as Kane s childhood sled to us only, accompanied with a high
angle shot of the sled surrounded by Kane s boyhood effects. In doing so, Welles evokes dramatic
irony, highlighting its hidden importance as a representation of Kane s inner longing for his youth
that remains unknown to the film s characters. This dramatic irony, when synthesised with a
subsequent panning out of the camera from Xanadu to the No Trespassing sign through which it
had entered, reminiscent of the film s cyclical structure, thereby emphasises the impossibility of
entering an individual s inner world and thus being able to achieve a holistic understanding of one s
identity. Welles philosophical examination of identity, a universal aspect of the human condition,
hence contributes to its relevance to humanity regardless of time. Therefore, the innovation and
insightfulness of CK is revealed in its exploration of the complexity of the human

in many different markets. Some of these capabilities and resources that led Samsung s success
include; the ability to recognize opportunity through a visionary management team, intense
acquisition of technology and learning, product and process innovation, a fluid manufacturing and
assembly system and the ability to develop partnerships and joint ventures. In the midst of the
global financial crisis, the Korean currency s value, won, had fallen tremendously. Samsung s
management team saw this as an opportunity to start outsourcing from China, where they
manufactured LCDs and Mobiles for a fraction of the price. By 2011, Samsung had the largest
Mobile share in China. They decided that by moving out they would understand the surrounding
markets (Zahou, 2015). Chairman Lee commissioned a task force team to make in depth market

Quality Outrage Trauma
Quality outrage is characterized as the demeanor to see an extensive variety of circumstances as
irritating or baffling, and the inclination to react to such circumstances with more regular heights in
state outrage. Spielberger, Jacobs, Russel, Crane (1983) depict characteristic resentment is an
individual emotional demeanor to encounter endless sentiments of indignation regarding time and
crosswise over circumstance. People with high characteristic outrage are inclined to experience
outrage all the more strongly crosswise over circumstances. Spector (2003) and Spielberger (1999)
found that that circumstance is a direct result of an indignation demeanor and more consequence of
negative examinations crosswise over circumstance. Attribute Anger

Bilingualism And Bilingual Education
As the previous discussion has shown, the notions bilingualism and bilingual education are pretty
complex. Summing up, bilingualism exists in different levels, which are defined as termed
individual bilingualism and societal bilingualism. These forms are typical either for the whole
language minorities (communities) or for an individual. This should be taken into account for
bilingual education, which can be described as language possession at the individual level. From
the research that has been carried out, it is possible to conclude that this issue is very complex and
can be described by various dimensions, such as language ability, achievement, competences,
performance, proficiency and skills, as well as the age of language acquisition, the balance of two
languages, context of language usage. Considering the bilingual education as an additional
opportunity of foreign languageteaching, the findings have determined that it is practiced its strong

Brutus Weaknesses
Brutus most certainly would be the first choice of noble characters in the play. His intentions in
killing Caesar were honorable in the Roman s eyes. He did not kill Caesar for a personal gain or

that Caesar was going to do incredible damage to the Roman Republic. Brutus s weakness in his
honorable nature that lead him to trust Cassius, who he considers his friend, and let himself be
persuaded that Caesar must be killed to save Roman Democracy. The same nature causes Brutus to

Uranium 235 Neutrons
Uranium 235 (U235) on itself is stable, however if an atom is hit with a neutron, it will absorb that
neutron turning into Uranium 236 (U236), and therefore becomes unstable. It then spontaneously
splits into 2 atoms, krypton 92 and barium 141 molecule. A new nuclei forms when an unstable
nucleus decays creating fission products. Essentially, the fewer neutrons there are loose, the fewer
fissions will occur. It is noticed that both the atoms do no equal up to 236, because in fact, 3
neutrons are dispersed and then further colliding with other Uranium235 molecules. To further
discuss the process of Uranium fission, it can be referred to what is called the Chain Reaction. In
the chain reaction mentioned (Fig 1), the neutrons released by the

Advantages Of Content Analysis
McQueen and Knussen (2002) are of the view that, there are many techniques available to a
researcher that allow him or her to explore, describe and draw inferences, examine issues and so
on. In this research, the researcher will make use of descriptive research. The descriptive
research was employed because the study was mainly about the qualitative ways of establishing
reader perceptions on political articles by Manheru. The research will not be generalised, data
will be gathered from the editor, sub editor and the readers. Although the descriptive research has
a disadvantage, that is, it has a tendency to look deceptively simple and select data which may be
relevant (Best ad Khan; 1993). A research methodology or paradigm can also be viewed... Show

Content analysis is a method of analyzing written, verbal or visual communication (Cole; 1988).
Content analysis can be a powerful tool for determining authorship. For instance, one technique for
determining authorship is to compile a list of suspected authors and analyse the style of writing
and the preferred words in the articles. When used properly content analysis is a powerful data
reduction technique. It major benefit comes from the fact that is a systematic, and does not require
contact with people, establishing reliability is easy and straight forward. However, content analysis
though very descriptive it tends to fail to reveal the underlying motives for the observed pattern
thus the need to be combined with other research methods such as interviews and observations,

The National Council Of Teachers Of Mathematics ( Nctm )...
Summary: This article focuses on the positions of both the National Council of Teachers of
Mathematics (NCTM) and the National Association for the Education of Young Children
(NAEYC) stating that having high quality, challenging and accessible math education is essential
for 3 6 years olds, creating a promising future for students. Within their daily classroom setting,
there needs to be a research based curriculum that includes policies, organized support and
appropriate resources.
Essential Questions:
Should teachers start incorporating math into all other subjects? Or should math be a stand alone
subject?
Yes should be incorporated into all subjects. Of the 10 things key professionals should incorporate
into high quality math education, number 7 is prominent. It states, integrate mathematics with other
actives and other actives with mathematics (Boyd 2008). When children at the early elementary
level are processing knowledge they don t have each subject sectioned off. When a teacher is
teaching a lesson on math, a child doesn t process that as we are doing math. There brains aren t
quite developed as a cubbybox , Therefore, if a teacher is incorporating math into all their lessons,
there are many applicable ways students can use math without even knowing. For example, when a
teacher assigns a project or investigation, students must use math to collect date, record information
and any mathematical question.
Should parents be encouraged to teach their children some

College Is A Time In Which People Are First Discovering
College is a time in which people are first discovering who they are, and what they would like to
do with the rest of their lives. It is a point where for the first time in these young adults lives they
are living on their own and actively making their own life decisions. These young adults are
thrown into a world that seems so foreign to anything they have known, and so many new things
are thrown their way that they just have to decide and do. The sudden newness of it all can cause
many stressors amongst a wide margin of students who attend college. This new found stress may
begin to gradually increase over time, which then leads to many college students developing
depression. The depression experienced more often than not goes... Show more content on

They may instead be partaking in activities that negatively suppress their depressive emotions.
They lash out in aggressive emotions, or turn to alcohol and illegal substances. In fact, 45 % of
college students end up binge drinking, and 25 % abuse drugs, both prescription and illegal
(Tartakovsky). There is a stigma behind depression that makes admitting to the disease
something that people just do not do out of their own will. This sense of shame then results in a
large number of people going around undiagnosed and untreated for something as serious as
depression. There needs to be a stronger conversation about how real depression is and how
important it is to get help to treat it. The lack of a conversation being had is hurting college
students further than their depression (Li). Due to some colleges not having accessible counseling
services, or mental health programs, it helps in the results of self treatment of student s
depression. Or simply due to the fact that some students do not know that they either have
depression, or that there are services at their colleges that are there to help them. More colleges
need to have outreach programs to help students to understand that it s okay to seek help and that
there are many ways to manage their stress. Ways that do not include harming themselves and their
bodies. It is statistically likely that if all of this stress begins to add up, suicidal thoughts may
begin to occur. This is a serious downfall to

Building a Gaming Computer
Building a gaming computer may be an intimidating endeavour, but in all actuality with a little
hard work anyone can be a whiz at putting together a gaming computer. Why build a custom
gaming PC? Well it ll save money, and give the builder a great experience. It s always fun to
learn how different things work. The price of a top of the line retail gaming computer runs from
two thousand on up to five thousand dollars and beyond, a monitor alone could cost one thousand
dollars. The two types of gaming PC builds are , the hardcore gamerbuild which will cost a little
extra, and the casual gamer build which isn t as expensive; moreover, the steps in building a

If the user of the PC is a hardcore gamer and he/she wants the games to play on high or ultra
graphics settings without looking glitchy, or lagging out, then, the graphics card, RAM, and
CPU are going to be the main focus of spending. Although if the user is just a casual gamer who
doesn t care about the look of the games he/she plays, and just really wants a computer for
everyday browsing then the bare essentials are all that is needed. For, a hardcore build the base
budget is in the range of twelve hundred to fifteen hundred dollars. The budget for a casual
gaming PC is four hundred to six hundred dollars. One big rule when deciding a budget,
NEVER try to save money on the power supply. The power supply is the heart of the PC, it gives
the computer life. Without the power supply the other components would not be anything but
metal and plastic. The first portion of the computer build for either casual or hardcore, is the
CPU. There are two major companies to pick from, Intel and AMD.The only difference in the two
is the compatibility with certain motherboards. Whichever is picked, Intel or AMD, will help
narrow the decisions on the motherboard, which will in turn help figure out the RAM needed.
After the decision has been made of one company or the other, the next step is to pick which CPU
from either company is the right one for the builder. Intel has the new

Emperor Penguinss Research Paper
Emperor Penguins are my favorite animals to this day. This is because in 2nd grade my teacher
made us write essays on animals from Antarctica such as Polar Bears and Sea Lions. When my
teacher assigned me the Emperor Penguin I didn t think much of it at the time, but when I began
my research about the animal, it slowly caught my interest. The Emperor s lifespan is about 18 20
years and during those years they learn to hunt, avoid the animals that prey on them, and
reproduce. The Emperor Penguins prey on many aquatic animals, some more than others such as
Silverfish. Silverfish is the main food source that the penguins eat (according to google) but it s
not the only source. They can also eat krill and squid. The Emperor Penguins are only 3.6

The Industrial Revolutionfacilitated the development of factories leading to. The Third Class Carriage by Honore Daumier, is a painting showing a tightly packed crowd of working class men and women, which convey their hardship during the time. It is also shown on their expressions, clothing, and postures. The First Class Carriage also by Daumier, showed no physical contact and people sat apart from each other, which showed the differences between social classes. These two paintings by the same person strongly reflected the lives between different social classes. The upper class was able to afford a much bigger carriage and have more personal space. In contrast, the lower class was forced to be squeezed inside a small carriage. • 3. Driving Cars Are On The Way Self driving cars are on the way. Soon, you ll be able to purchase a fully autonomous vehicle, jump in and leave the driving to computers. Play games, read a book or recline your seat and nap your self driving car will transport you safely to your journey s end. Autonomous driving features such as adaptive cruise control and lane keeping assist are already included in many new vehicles, offering motorists a harbinger of what s to come. By 2020, the first fully autonomous vehicles are expected to deploy on America s roadways. Consumers, however, are not sharing the same enthusiasm owned by self driving proponents of autonomous vehicle technology. Indeed, three out of four Americans surveyed by AAA say that they are afraid to ride in a self driving vehicle. Decades of Autonomous Vehicle Testing Before we examine the AAA survey, we need to gain context based on background. Experiments on self driving vehicles have been ongoing for decades. For example, beginning in the 1980s, a German researcher at a Munich university, Ernst Dickmanns, built the world s first robotic car. Those earlier models required human intervention to control engine throttle and braking. By 1995, Dickmanns team launched the first fully autonomous vehicle, a Mercedes Benz S Class and inaugurated it on a 1,000 mile round tripper from Munich to Denmark and back, including nearly 100 miles of human free control.(2) That watershed mission was accomplished without incident and led to other ... The Protagonist s ability to comfort herself, her pride, her passion and depth she could harness powered her into the direction of excellence in her adult years. Throughout the story the Protagonist demonstrates a very unbalanced relationship with her family members. She feels intimidated by the world around her and turns her lack of knowledge into knowledge by controlling and influencing her younger brother Laird. She does so by telling him stories and exposing him to experiences she claims to be familiar with. In her later years her relationship with her brother becomes strong as they both realize they can benefit from each other s experiences and differences. As a child the Protagonist viewed her father as God like because he had control and organization over the lives and deaths of the foxes. In essence he became her hero as she admired his control over the animals. In her future relationship with her father she came to see that he was simply a business man and she made a great attempt to form a deeper relationship with her father. • 5. Marine Environment Essay Introduction Australia is one of the main coal producing countries in the world, ranking the first in coal export and the fourth in the coal production in 2012 (International Energy Agency 2012). On global scale, coal accounted for a third of primary energy needs and 41.1% of electricity generation in 2014, when its production reached 8022.5 Mt (World CoalAssociation 2015). Steps involved in coal industry have shown to pollute the marine environment by various means. Unburnt coal may escape into marine environment during natural erosion of coal seams, slumping and runoff from storage areas, spills and accidents during loading and transport (Achten and Hofmann 2009; Gibson, Atkinson, and Gordon 2005) affecting marine life physically and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In fact, coal spills are not rare (Queensland Government 2017a,b,c; Willacy 2017; NSW Environment Protection Authority 2017, 2015, 2014). The Independent Expert Scientific Committee on Coal Seam Gas and Large Coal Mining Development (IESC) focuses on impacts of coal seam gas and coal mining development on aquatic ecosystems (Commonwealth of Australia 2017), while impacts on marine ecosystems receive little attention. Therefore, this study could enhance our understanding of impacts of coal industry on marine organisms and provide scientific support for future environmental impact assessments. Aims 1. To understand effects of coal particles on shellfish survival and growth rates 2. To compare effects of different concentration of coal on shellfish survival and growth rates 3. To understand the accumulation rate of PAHs from coal particles into shellfish Methods We will set up four tanks, each with 10 Plebidonax deltoides and 10 Vasticardium vertebratum on sandy sediment with continuous seawater flow. We will add thermal coal particles of different amounts into three tanks to simulate coal spill and leave the remaining tank as a control. Before the experiment, we will measure PAHs concentrations in shellfish samples, weight and length of each individual, and the total suspended solids in water. During the experiment, we will measure the weight and dimension of each individual and the total ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Abstract Throughout the past years, there has been a growing propensity in criminology to explain emerging patterns of corporate crime within the United States by referring solely to different things like dysfunctional families or dysfunctional persons. Other criminologists have really interrogated these latter methods as separating individuals and crime from the social organizations that cover them. This paper will discuss how criminology has pursued to explain exactly what corporate crime has become. How Criminology has sought to explain Corporate Crime? Introduction In criminology, corporate crime denotes to crimes that are done either by a corporation (a business unit having a separate legal character from the natural persons that achieve its actions), or by individuals acting on behalf of a corporation or other business entity. White Collar crime is a quickly arising topic in the field of criminal justice. Recently, it has just been dubbed very popular with cases that are high profile like the companies of Enron and Martha Stewart. In the book, Controversies in White Collar Crime by Gary W. • 7. Homework Persuasive Essay Are you happy with your job right now? Do you wish that you did something beneficial for yourself in school? Do you even use any of the stuff you learned in school in your today life? I very much believe that the homework given for school is honestly inconsiderate, time consuming, and it s unethical. I stand by these factors for many reasons. As much as I see why it s given, I do indeed believe that the reasons pushed against it are more important than the latter. Regardless, here is my reasoning of why homework is inconsiderate to students, timeconsuming for them, and unethical to their lives. I wish that parents that make their kids do homework would take a second and look at what they re doing. And if that doesn t seem beneficial to them, they are being inconsiderate as those kids, young or older, are being piled with work that they will never use in the rest of their lives. Especially if that parent knows if their familyis struggling and still sending a child to school to do things that will not benefit their family. Perhaps that family is struggling with money, food, relationships, even lack of a shelter for them to stay. Most parents get this thing in their head that if their child doesn t do all this work, then they will fail in life, but that child is being filled with knowledge that makes them confused on what they actually wantto do. Then they demand that you not only do the pile of useless work that holds that kid back from doing something more productive ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 8. The Consumption Of Fats Plays A Key Role On The... During pregnancy, the consumption of fats plays a key role in the development of the fetus. A dietary fat is an essential nutrient that helps the body function by providing protection, fuel and absorption for cells, tissues and organs. The fats consumed are Triglycerides and the mechanism behind this process is for lipoprotein lipase (LPL) to break the triglycerides into smaller components. They mostly contain fatty acids, cholesterol, fatsoluble vitamins and other lipids that will be delivered to target tissues for performing activities, or stored as fat if not directly used. The increased consumption of triglycerides can raise bloodlipid levels such as low density lipoprotein (LDL) that promotes the risk of developing cardiovascular... Over time, collected data from the third trimester (G130) of all pregnancies resulted in a significant decrease in blood volume flow of the HFD maternal and the placental portion of the fetus. The authors revealed that A, Uterine artery (Uta) PI is 0.74 in a representative control animal. B, The Uta PI is 1.17 in a representative HFD S animal with a Doppler waveform that demonstrates decreased diastolic flow consistent with increased vascular impedance when compared with A. (1) The study is suggesting that the accumulation of fat molecules in the placenta restricted the blood to flow through. Moreover, Insufficient oxygen and nutrients from the placental can interfere with the growth of the fetus. The immunohistochemistry, confirmed no TLR4 staining in the chorionic villous stroma in control placentas. Conversely, there were increased levels of TLR4 staining in chorionic villous stroma and syncytiotrophoblast in HFD placentas. (1) The TLR4 is a protein pathway responsible for activating the fetus immune system by providing a supply of nutrients and protection. However, constant irritation of circulating blood lipids within this pathway has changed the function of the protein, becoming vulnerable to the hazardous environment. At the same time, the TLR4 in both parts of the placenta of the mother and fetus has developed inflammation. • 9. The Ethics Of The Accounting Profession Ethics in all forms is concerned with the good and bad, right and wrong in a situation. (Duska) In life you will be placed in a situation where you have to make a choice. These situations are not always black and white, in other words they do not have a clear answer. You will not know what your reaction would be in any given situation until you are there and have to make the decision. This is present in both our personal and professional lives. However, if you always follow the guidelines set by God and treat all as you wish to be treated then more than likely you will make a fair and impartial decision when necessary. The accounting profession is based on the honesty, integrity, and word of those in this profession. That is truly who they are in the eyes of the public and with this comes great responsibility to all those involved. We will be evaluating two ethical systems in this paper and deciding which would be the most appropriate for the accounting profession. The first ethical view that we will discuss is Deontology. Deontology came from the writings of Immanuel Kant, a German philosopher. Deontology is defined as a view that is based on what is fair over the consequences of the actions. Deontologists believe that there are ethical guidelines that are universally applicable to all people. The actions should be ethical even if the consequences are not favorable and should be based on rational thought. This view is follows a line of professional ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Currently, I am trying to build my background in biomedical sciences and meet people with similar interests as me through the Mechanisms of Human Health and Disease class. I hope to someday become a physician scientist researching neuroplasticity. In order to teach young kids about Lyme disease, I would use many visuals (such as pictures and diagrams) and relatable comparisons. For the disease background, I would start with a map of the United States and circle the most common areas for Lyme disease occurrence, as well as Lyme, Connecticut, where the disease was first discovered. I would then draw out a group of people who appear to be in pain, with swollen joints and large rashes. These people would be examined by a doctor named Willy Burgdorfer, who discovers a specific bacterium, Borrelia burgdorferi, that is causing their suffering (bayarealyme.org). To conclude the background discussion, I would show the students maps that indicate the prevalence of Lyme disease, and how they have changed from the 1980s to the present to reflect an increase in cases. In order to show how the disease is contracted, I would reference a map of the United States and review the most common areas for Lyme disease occurrence. • 14. Persuasive Essay On Eyewitness Testimony Eyewitness accounts have long been used since the beginning of modern courtroom justice as evidence to condemn or liberate and eyewitnesses were once considered quintessential in proceedings. Recently, however, the accuracy of these types of accounts is being tested. Psychological and statistical research affirms that eyewitness testimony is inaccurate most of the time, whether significantly or partly, and many innocent people have wrongfully suffered because of these errors. For this reason, eyewitness information should not be used as the sole form of evidence in prosecution, however it should still be used in the courtroom. Better interrogation methods should be utilised by policedepartments to gain as much accurate information from witnesses as possible and to mitigate the amount of inconsistency and outright error in witness statements. Law schools, police departments and jurors should be educated about the psychology behind eyewitness errors, different external causes of error and forms of error. Since the late 20th Century, DNA analysis has proven eyewitness identificationto be faulty at best such as in the well known case of Ronald Cotton and Jennifer Thompson in 1984. In this instance, Thompson was certain that Cotton was the man that raped her, pointing him out first in a photo line up then subsequently in a live line up (Innocence Project, 2017). 10 years after Cotton was wrongfully found guilty, he was acquitted due to DNA analysis that indicated he was not ... The relationship between anaerobic exercise and aerobic capacity Introduction Adenosine triphosphate (ATP) is an important organic molecule in all living organisms, it is a biologist fuel for all living organisms.(Vanputte et al. 2014) When the energy stored in ATP is used, ATP will be broken down to adenosine triphosphateand inorganic phosphorous (Astrand 1956). Cell Respiration is the way that the human body produces more ATP, and there are four parts in total which is glycolysis, Link Reaction, Krebs cycle and Electron Transport Chain respectively. However, if when oxygen is not present in the cell, then the private undergoes alcoholic fermentation and lactate formatted in the process of anaerobic respiration (Peeters Weem et al. 2007). While physical activities of moderate intensity (e.g. Marathon and swimming) are supported by aerobic metabolism, a high intensity activity (e.g. 100m race) is an anaerobic metabolism process because the human body muscle needs a large amount of energy in a short period of time, and the lungs cannot put enough oxygen in the blood steam to keep up the need of muscle energy. It generally is used only for short bursts of the body. (BrianMac Sports Coach 2011) There is a positive proportion between demands on the aerobic energy system during physical activity and demands for oxygen delivered to the muscles. Generally, increase the demands on aerobic energy also increase the demands for oxygen delivered to the muscle (Medbo and Tabata 1993). ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

This excerpt can relate to the idea of global warming. Global warming can be defined as an increase in the earth s average atmospheric temperature that causes corresponding changes in climateand that may result from the greenhouse effect. During the past 10,000 years the earthhas been in an ever growing cycle that has significantly changed the climate. These changes are becoming more prevalent in our world today in the past 150 years. Scientists have been analyzing the causes and effects of the greenhouse effect and many other issues that global warminghas presented. As John Houghton... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Aerosols have two major effects on the climate. They include direct and indirect radiation. The cooling or warming of the atmosphere due to the reflective or absorbent properties of the particles are considered direct effects. Reflective particles cool the atmosphere by scattering energy from the sun back into space. Absorbent particles have the opposite effect. They add to atmospheric heating by absorbing the sun s energy. (Calipso Outreach) An indirect effect of aerosols is their roles on cloud condensation nuclei, CCN. The use of aerosols has a huge relationship with the amount of CCN present in a cloud. Clouds with more CCN, from the higher use of aerosols, are larger and more reflective than those with fewer CCN (Calipso Outreach). Since the clouds are more reflective, light is being trapped in the earth s atmosphere. Ultimately creating the earths temperature to rise. In Calipso Outreach they explain, The particles pushed into the atmosphere from a dust storm are made of minerals with both reflective and absorbent properties. The ability of the particles to absorb sunlight is thought to have a net warming effect on area of the atmosphere they occupy. The particles from the dust storm get trapped up in the earth s atmosphere, creating almost a mirror for sunlight to be reflected by. With the more sunlight being reflected, the hotter the temperature will be on Earth. Aerosols are a huge cause of global ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Buddhist monks were considered high standing men in China; this was because of the fact that after the chaotic Han dynasty, Buddhism brought peace to the populace of China, both farmers and the new ruling warlords. Buddhism was first introduced in Korea, and reached the Japanese emperor through scriptures sent by a Korean ruler who tried to persuade him to implement this religion in society. This was followed by intense debate within the island which lasted for more than half a century, but eventually, in the late 580 s, it was officially adopted as the standard religion in the Yamato ruled domains, and once this was declared, Yamato rulers started their propagandistic campaigns in order to popularize it among their subjects. • 29. Normative Ethical Relativism The objective of this essay is to provide reasons as to why normative ethical relativism provides an unattractive view on the nature of morality and why it should be rejected. In order to see this negative relationship, this essay will identify three features of this theory that makes it problematic. The first problematic feature of normative ethical relativism is based on the claim that moral principles cannot be validated on a universal level. This means that different cultures should be free to establish their own principles and basic values as a foundation for morality. As a result, correct moral principles are based on the views of the majority or predominant population. Therefore it would be wrong for any minority group to criticise against the moral views held by the majority population in a society at any given time because the minority will always be wrong in virtue by default because they hold the minority view. It is easy to see why this feature is problematic. This feature in practice leads to inequality and unfairness towards the people within a society. This may result in minorities being faced with a great danger of being oppressed by the majority. An example of this is Nazi Germany and the holocaust. This feature is contradictory with the main message behind normative ethical relativism in terms promoting equality among all. Because minority criticism against the views of the majority does happen, this feature of normative ethical relativism is criticized ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

To get to that withdrawal period the person must stop taking the drug they have been on. Whether the person quits in a day or three months later, that person would still have to go through that withdrawal period. This is similar to a teen starting to drive for the first time. The reasons why I think that the drivingage limit shouldn t be changed is because people can still, get around the rules by waiting until the age of eighteen to avoid the restrictions, the number of driver fatalities are decreasing majorly, and because the number of crashes wouldn t diminish it would only put off the effect. For instance, Delaying something from starting (much like the drug addict getting clean) won t change much of anything (unless learned more about the subject of matter). I believe quotes could mean a thousand different things to a thousand different people. Therefore, what this means is that what a quote means to myself may mean something completely different than what anyone else thinks. Also, if you read a quote at different stages of your life, it could mean something absolutely opposite of what it once meant to you. For example, if you read a quote in your teenage years and then read it again when you were in your forty s, more than likely this would have a completely different meaning to you than what it once did. Orson Welles, in his 1941 landmark film and self described social document Citizen Kane (CK), presents a critique of the American Dream and the shallow stereotypes it conveys in his exploration of the nature of power and the inherent complexity of individuals, through documenting the rise and fall of the newspaper mogul Kane. The framing device of the quest to uncover the enigmatic Rosebud by the reporter Thompson, whose shadowed face reflects his role as a metonym for us as Welles audience, thus moulds our understanding of the difficulty in attaining an individual s finite identity. Thompson s realisation of Rosebud as a missing piece [of a jigsaw puzzle], and that, I don t think any word can explain a man s life, in which a chiaroscuro lit jigsaw puzzle, juxtaposed against the shadowed faces of the reporters, highlights the reality of Kane s permanently fragmented and thus shadowed identity. Moreover, Welles reveals Rosebud as Kane s childhood sled to us only, accompanied with a high angle shot of the sled surrounded by Kane s boyhood effects. In doing so, Welles evokes dramatic irony, highlighting its hidden importance as a representation of Kane s inner longing for his youth that remains unknown to the film s characters. This dramatic irony, when synthesised with a subsequent panning out of the camera from Xanadu to the No Trespassing sign through which it had entered, reminiscent of the film s cyclical structure, thereby emphasises the impossibility of entering an individual s inner world and thus being able to achieve a holistic understanding of one s identity. Welles philosophical examination of identity, a universal aspect of the human condition, hence contributes to its relevance to humanity regardless of time.
