Do You Really Want A Baby Tiger Analysis
According to Mia Lewis, author of Do You Really Want a Baby Tiger, there has been a huge increase
in the amount of people who own exotic animals in the states. Many people find the need to have an
exotic animal to stand out from all the rest. Although most people don t understand how costly it is to
own an exoctic animal or how you have to furfill their needs and even the dangers of owning an
exoctic pet which is why owning an exoctic pet is not a good idea.
Money is a big part of our everyday lives. It is how we live, take care of ourselves, provide for
ourselves and everything inbetween. In Do You Really Want a Baby Tiger, Mia Lewis states not just
the food and the vet bills, although those can indeed be considerable . With that in mind,

Grade 1 Research Paper
Grade 1 The resource selected to effectively support the recognition and classification of 2D and 3D
shapes is a maths game Kangaroo Hop accessed from Math Playground (URL
http://www.mathplayground.com/ASB_Kangaroo_Hop.html). The game can have up to 4 players and
the aim is to be the first to reach the end. To win, a player must correctly identify the shape that comes
up at the bottom of the screen and hop onto it. For example, if the word sphere comes up, the student
must correctly identify the sphere and hop onto it. The game utilizes both 2D and 3D shapes and also
includes some shapes that children may not be aware of such as parallelograms and pentagons. If the
student chooses a wrong answer, they fall into the water and are given ... Show more content on

It also acknowledges the content description as children use origami skills to fold their two
dimensional nets into three dimensional objects, such as prisms and pyramids. Thinking about 3D
shapes through nets can be very beneficial to understanding the representation of shapes in multiple
forms (Tartre, 1990). They help students to conceptualise surface area, the logistics of volume and side
lengths through special visualisation. Before the construction of the 3D shapes, while children are in
the decorating stage, I will prompt thinking by asking how many sides their shape will have when it s
completed or what side of the net do they think will be the base. One key problem with the worksheet
selected, is that it names the 3D shape that will be created from the net. I will remove this because I
think it is essential for students to be able to recognise and correctly identify the shape for themselves
as this is something they are asked to do in most standardised maths tests. This idea is supported by
the NSW Department of Education as they recognise students must have the ability to perceive and
hold an appropriate mental image of an object . In order to further support the development of
modelling 3D shapes, I will implement another creative activity where students can

Enzyme Biological Systems By Speeding Up The Chemical...
Enzymes catalyze biological systems by speeding up the chemical reactions included. Enzymes
developed from the peroxidase that is obtained from the different roots reacts with the hydrogen
peroxide, which releases H2 and water. The extra hydrogen is indicated by the color change of the
solution that is used to measure the rate of enzyme activity. When the rate of enzyme activity was
high, the activity always occurred in the roots in the beginning stages of their development. However,
when the rate of enzyme activity was low during the roots development, sucrose was present. Sucrose
was not present in roots when the tissues consisted of high activities of acid invertase. Radish roots
proved to have the rate of enzyme of activity remained high until maturity and showed to not have
considerable amounts of sucrose. In addition, radish roots can be seen to have similar rate of enzyme
activity when compared to the turnip roots because these roots also maintained a high enzyme activity
until maturity and did not have considerable amounts of sucrose. Both roots, as a result, reduced
sugars being the main reserve. Through the experiment having to do with sugar accumulation and
invertase activity during the development of turnip and radish roots, it was observed that these
matured roots consumed higher amounts of reducing sugars than sucrose (Ricardo, 1974). In addition,
similar changes in sugar content to the turnip roots, invertase activity and dry weight were also
detected

Marquise De Merteuil
There is something about going to a live theater that just offers that something that you can t really
experience when watching a movie. The uncertainty and the live aspects of the performances makes
you feel part of the story in a way instead of being the outsider that s just watching it. Everything is
bigger, louder, better in a live theater and even having rea stage actors staring at you instead of a
camera, you get a sense of excitement that makes the whole experience enjoyable. I certainly got that
feeling when I got a chance to sit down and watch Les Liaisons Dangereuses at the center stage.
According to the Center Stage website, the plot summary reads Two French aristocrats, Marquise de

For me I don t have an inherent problem with characters that are just plain awful, I can appreciate
them as such but in most cases the way these types of characters are written doesn t always stand out
to me and in worse cases the narrative tries to force me to sympathize with them instead of letting me
feel for myself. Looking at Merteuil character on paper, you d almost want to describe her as brutal
and maybe even unsympathetic yet Douglas manages to give layers to this character that weren t just
an evil hard ass but showed a human side to her that had pain and a soul that was damaged while
maintaining that fierce persona. One of my personal favorite moments from the play was when she
explains to Valmont that main source of power women of her time have the withholding of sex while
Men Can ruin us whenever the fancy takes you. She goes on to say All we can achieve by denouncing
you is to enhance your prestige. We can t even get rid of you when we want to Setting wise I thought
the design for the play was very beautiful. I ve been to other plays set in a similar time period and
sometimes the rococo fashion and scenery can easily make everything look tacky and gaudy but
thankfully this wasn t the case. One thing that stood out to me the most was the square pattern on the
floor that looked like a chessboard. It didn t click with me at first but after I had time to reflect after
the play I thought about how that may have been a clever symbol about how this is all just part of a

Grave Of The Fireflies Essay
In the 1988 film, Grave of the Fireflies, a boy named Seita and his younger sister Setsuko struggle to
survive in Japan towards the end of the war. The animated film begins with Seita dying in what
appears to be a subway station. The remainder of the film is a recollection of the end of his days.
These flashbacks begin with him storing aways some essentials in the ground before an air raid.
Setsuko says behind with her brother to be taken to the shelter while their mother gets a head start due

Tanning Case Study
In the article, Many Colleges Have Tanning Salons on or Near Campus; Some Accept Campus Cash,
Health Magazine is arguing that even though tanning has been proven to increase the chances of
cancer, colleges are promoting tanning. The tanning services being offered are often found on or near
college campus s. While this may passively reinforce tanning and harmful nature, as a salon business
owner I would put aside the unethical choices, and make decisions in what is best for marketing
choices. As I see it promoting this near campus tanning salon movement and using demographic
techniques can affect the salon marketing industry in both good and bad ways. Even though I may not
agree with teenage tanning, I feel that by using this marketing tactic the sales forecast will plummet.
By providing campus cash services, the business owner will be able to increase the chances of the
students entering the salon. Many college students can not afford to pay for extra tanning costs,
however if they are able to use campus cash they will more likely to use tanning facilities. This
movement promotes marketers and business owners into wanting to open a salon near a college
campus. If the business owner comes to an agreement with the nearest ... Show more content on

can come and relax and tan, they may also want to get their hair and nails done as well, which can

Comparing Hangman And A Hanging
Capital Punishment in Hangman and The Two Fisherman
In The Two Fisherman by Morley Callaghan and A Hanging by George Orwell capital punishment is a
major theme throughout the two stories. Capital Punishment is wrong and needs to be changed. This is
seen in the story when capital punishment has a negative impact on people s emotions and religious
beliefs, as well it should not be televised. Both The Hangman and The Two Fisherman have people,
who are criminals, that end up losing their lives through capital punishment.
Throughout The Two Fisherman story, there was a lot of mixed emotions from the characters. In The
Two Fisherman The Hangman is there to kill Thomas Delaney. Michael, the local reporter, goes
fishing with the Hangman to interview and get information from him. Michael is surprised when the
Hangman expresses little emotions towards his job. The Hangman says, I mean you get used to it, that

their whole facial impression changed. They were mentally and physically impacted by watching the
death of the Prisoner.¨A hanging¨Everyone changed color. The indians had gone grey like bad coffee,
and one or two of bayonets were wavering. ¨(Orwell,34). In this Quote it shows how the crowd was
shocked and impacted by the hanging. When someone younger sees a death of someone caused by
capital punishment, it can be traumatizing and be a traumatic event in their life. They will always have
the memory of people like Thomas Delaney and the Prisoner dying. Therefore, capital punishment
should not be televised because it is disrespectful to families. Families would not want to view their
own family members being killed. It is harder to grief over someone s death when it is televised

The Image Processing Techniques For Breast Cancer
Abstract In recent years the image processing techniques are used commonly in various medical areas
for improving earlier detection and treatment stages, in which the time span or elapse is very
important to discover the disease in the patient as possible as fast, especially in many tumours such as
the lung cancer, breast cancer. This system generally first segments the area of interest (lung) and then
analyses the separately obtained area for nodule detection in order to examine the disease. Even with
several lung tumour segmentations have been presented, enhancing tumour segmentation methods are
still interesting because lung tumour CT images has some complex characteristics, such as large
difference in tumour appearance and uncertain tumour boundaries. To address this problem, tumour
segmentation method for CT Images which separates non enhancing lung tumours from healthy
tissues has been carried out by clustering method. The proposed method uses pre processing technique
that remove unwanted artifacts using median and wiener filters. Initially, the segmentation of the CT
images has been carried out by using K Means clustering method. To the clustered result, EK Mean
clustering is applied . Further the features like entrpy, Contrast, Correlation,Homogenity and the area
are extracted from the tumorous part of Fuzzy Ek Means segmented Image. For feature extraction,
statistic method called Gray Level Co occurrence Matrix (GLCM). Classification is done by using the

Sexual Education Is Important Today
Sexuality plays a major role in everyone s life, and it is a part of being human regardless of the gender,
age, race, or religion. Everyone has their way of expressing their sexuality, either with thoughts and
fantasy, or with their sexual partners. Sexuality could be controlled or ruled by the person s desires,
and whatever they fantasize is what fits their hidden personality. Also, religion and education could
control their thoughts into disliking some acts of the sexual activities, like anal or oral sex, some
religions or parents try to put them in the X zone; which make the person grow up with the attitude of
forbidding those sexual acts or seeing them as unacceptable in religious and psychological
perspectives. Education is something important to everyone in their lifetime, sexual education is
important today because it teaches an important topic of sexuality. Due to all the sexual illnesses that
invaded the world even in the Middle East, considered as a province environment. Alfred Kinsey
started the sexual education when he founded the Institute for Sex Research, in 1947 in Indiana
University. Even though sex wasn t a common subject at that time, he was brave enough to research
and get the education that people needed for a better and healthy sexual life. Also, If I was Alfred
Kinsey in this time period, I would need to explore the body image issues. Body image issue is when a

Drug Use Is Not Something That Just Happens Overnight
Drug use is not something that just happens overnight. There are many things that led up to a person
deciding they want to try a drug for the first time. It might be that they were exposed to it at an early
age and perceived it to be the norm to use them. They might have experienced peer pressure at a party
or just wanted to fit in with a certain crowd. Or they may have gotten a prescription for one and liked
the high they felt when they were on it so they wanted to find a way to continue feeling that same
high. Each situation is different, and the drugs that were most likely used in each scenario are also
going to be different. A drug that is rather common for someone to be exposed to from an early age is

Then the coca paste is dissolved in a small amount of dilute sulfuric acid and potassium permanganate
is added (How Cocaine Is Made. (n.d.).
When cocaine is in this form it is most often snorted or mixed with water and injected into the blood
stream. The high people get from cocaine use does not last very long, which is what causes them to
binge use, and why addiction can be caused so quickly. The user is constantly chasing that initial high
and wanting it to last longer. Cocaine is a strong central nervous system stimulant that increases levels
of the neurotransmitter dopamine in brain circuits regulating pleasure and movement (Cocaine (2013,
April). It can also cause bursts of energy, talkativeness, increased heart rate and blood pressure, dilated
pupils, and increased body temperature. The most serious side effect can be death if the manufacturing
process was not done correctly.
Learning theory is probably the best explanation as to why one would chose to use cocaine. Cocaine
produces a high that can be rewarding because of the euphoria it produces. When the high wears off
the user experiences a crash and wants the high back. They have learned through continued use that in
order to get the euphoric feeling they must continue to use the drug. Although chemicals such as
cocaine might initially have been used for social reasons, the substances ability to provide

Young Girl Named Scout By Harper Lee
In the past, it has been evident that the population of the Southern states had been composed of many
different social classes, particularly in the 1930s. In her novel, To Kill A Mockingbird, Harper Lee
clearly depicts these social classes and illustrates how diverse they make the population of Maycomb,
a fictional town where the story takes place. The main character, a young girl named Scout, does not
fully understand the concept of these different social classes and often fails to recognize which one she
belongs to. As the story progresses, it becomes known to the reader that Scout is part of the highest
social class in Maycomb. However, because of the conditions she is raised in, she does not fit in with a
certain group of women that this class is mainly composed of: the Southern belles. Throughout the
story, it is evident that some Maycomb women possess the traits of a Southern Belle persona, such as
while Scout does not, due to the fact that she grows up without a mother.
The term Southern belle refers to a wealthy but well mannered young woman, often characterized by
her chaste demeanor and submissive attitude, who tries to reach perfection in almost every aspect of
her life. Some of the most important elements to being a Southern belle include grace, manners,
breeding, etiquette, and demure behavior. A Southern belle should always be polite and gentle to the
people around her and have the capability to make them feel at ease with her friendliness and
composure.

Rhetorical Analysis Of Abraham Lincoln s The Gettysburg...
In the nineteenth century, the United States of America existed as two separate entities at war with one
another. Because the founding fathers left a pressing matter unaddressed and the government
incomplete, the country they worked to establish fell into war with itself. In his speech The Gettysburg
Address, Abraham Lincoln discusses the goals of the founding fathers in establishing the United
States. He implies another meaning to these goals to encourage the Union troops, those fighting to
abolish slavery, to continue the fight. He also challenges them to honor their fellow soldiers who
sacrificed their lives by continuing to fight. Lincoln utilizes the mission of the founding fathers and
the recent fallen to encourage the unification of the nation. To establish the importance of unity,
Lincoln reemphasizes the purpose of founding the nation; however, he implies a different meaning. In
the context of the speech, Lincoln is encouraging the Union s troops to continue the fight for a united
nation; the goal of the Union is to abolish slavery and establish equal rights. Lincoln redefines the
founding father s statement that all men are created equal, (Lincoln, 2014, p. 115). He implies that this
definition includes all men no matter the race, while the original purpose only included white men.
The war that tore apart the nation was because of racial inequality. This definition aligns with the
mission of the Union. Without an understanding of some form, the nation the founding fathers brought
forth on this continent...conceived in Liberty, (Lincoln, 2014, p. 115) would cease to exist. Liberty
means that nothing oppresses the nation; however, unequal rights for the citizens restricts this liberty.
Therefore, the nation the founding fathers envisioned cannot exist while slavery exists. By reiterating
and refocusing the mission of the founding fathers, Lincoln explains the reason for unification.
Lincoln expands on the significance of the sacrifices the citizens recently made for the betterment of
the nation. Lincoln gives The Gettysburg Address standing on the battlefield soldiers died on to
dedicate the grounds as a memorial to them and to honor the sacrifices they made. While remembering
the fallen, he

A Democratic State Of Unprecedented Model Essay
A legislative process where there is a lack of transparency and accountability creates a democratic
deficit. A democratic deficit (or democracy deficit) occurs when presumably democratic organisations
or institutions (particularly governing institute) fall short of fulfilling the principles of democracy in
their practices or operation where representative and linked parliamentary integrity becomes widely
discussed. As far as lack of democracy is concern at European Union, it was first cited by a by Young
European Federalists in their manifesto at that time. European Union was formed in order to create an
everlasting relation within in its state. It is worth remembering the EU is a supranational state of
unprecedented model. It is also worth remembering that EU initially was formed only to enhance
collaboration within few financial interests and democracy was not the goal it thrived for. This initial
goal has slightly been over shadowed by some critics of its undemocratic status. This issue has
somewhat cause the estrangement within the EU states. There have been calls for EU to involve its
citizen more and more into their decision making. Although considerable efforts are made throughout
its history but one might argue that EU could have done more in order to make it more transparent in
last half a century.
In order to unearth the truth behind the criticism an overview of the legislative institutes and their
processes will have to be studied. We will have to look at the

Wakirlpirri Jukurrpa ( Snake Vine Dreaming ) By Liddy...
Wakirlpirri Jukurrpa (Snake Vine Dreaming) by Liddy Walker Napanagka Different Aboriginal groups
have a common characteristic and that is that they have a similar belief system which is called the
ʻDreamingʼ. The dreaming may be well known as a religious system but it does not always convey its
true eminence. However it does convey a sense of enlightenment through visions and dreams. The
dreaming provides a strong bondage between The Aboriginal people and their land and identity. In the
Indigenous community, Aboriginal people learned about their environment before they were able to
identify the characteristics of animals, plants, sources of food and water, useful materials and the
weather. The stories that they tell provide them with a map of their environment and information such
as trade routes and resources. With the knowledge they had due to their access to information about
their land led them to know how to travel successfully around the Australian landscape which then
enhanced their imagination that helped them compose more dreamtime stories. The Aboriginal people
are introduced to the spiritual world through the dreaming stories which are important teachings that
make up their identity. The Aboriginal people travelled the same routes through the lands that their
ancestors once used, these are called the dreaming trails. This strengthens their communication with
the ancestors and are able to build on their relationship with their land and identity. In the painting

health status authors Lin, Liao, Chen, Fan, (2014) explains there is a great concern about the potential
negative impact of shift work on a nurses personal health and performance, and hence on the quality
of patient care. Authors state how nurses must be able to work various shifts in orders to provide 24
hour care for patients. In order for patients to receive the care needed, nurses must have flexible work

heavy workloads and working frequent overtime is attributed to poor sleep quality and results in
mental and physical fatigue as well. The article explains that the increased workload is a result of
hospitals cutting cost and reducing the nursing workforce, which in turn severely affect the quality of
patient care provided from nurses. The research conducted was a study with the criteria of shift work
and how it affects nurses. There target population included three shifts rotations of nurses employed at
four regional hospitals over a three month period. They observed that 82.33% of nurses doing shift

2014). The Quality Management team s goal will be to continually strive to improve the care their
organization delivers. In order for this to be achieved their must goals and objectives to work towards.
The success of these goals and objectives are dependent upon The Quality Management Structure of
the organization. With proper implementation and management of the quality care initiative, the

The role of the Quality Management team is to continually seek for areas of improvements in patient
care, and patient satisfaction. Inferior to the Quality Management Committee you will find the
Clinical Care Evaluation Committee, Patient Satisfaction Committee and the Management and

be the Board of Directors, (Huber, 2014). How Quality Improvement Projects Selection, Management

Quality Improvement project selections are initiated by the Clinical Care Team, the Patient

is typically derived by tapping the knowledge of the nurses in the unit. However the implementation
of these projects occur within the Administrative Quality Management Committee. Ultimately within
this committee the selection process occurs. Once the project is implemented the management and
monitoring become more of a team effort. The management and monitoring is primarily done by The
Clinical Care Committee, Patient Satisfaction Committee and the Directors and Managers of the

A Biographical Film Milk By Van Gus Sant
Milk is a Biographical Film, directed by Van Gus Sant, and released on October 28, 2008. It is based
on gay rights activist and politician Harvey Milk. The film starts off with an old footage of police
raiding gay bars and arresting patrons during the 50s and 60s, which is then followed by Dianne
Feinstein s announcement stating that Harvey Milk, who is played by Sean Penn, and Mayor George
Moscone, played by Victor Garber, had been assassinated. Harvey starts out in San Francisco s Castro
district as a small business owner who witnesses the pursuit of gay men and becomes a strong
proponent for LGBT rights. Homosexuals were often beaten up and harassed in the streets, this pushed
Harvey to run as City Supervisor.

Smoke Bomb In The Culling
Smoke bomb is a projectile in The Culling. It breaks on effect, making a large cloud of smoke and
applying a temporary blindness to opponents. It is particularly powerful for fleeing and baiting
enemies into traps. It can also be very effective when paired with blades and Brutus by blinding an
opponent and backstabbing him. It is make with only a rock at a gas tank, and can be used to create
the gas grenade. Smoke bomb will be auto dropped if player have Angry Octopus perk, even if he

The first bomb were invented in China in the 13th century. The Chinese initially started using
gunpowder in hand held grenades and created smoke bombs. One of these bombs, the thunderbolt
ball, had black powder on the outside that detonated a bamboo center loaded with iron pieces. During
the Northern Song Dynasty (960 1126), Zeng Gongliang, a designing master, recorded three formulas

than just burning out. During the combustion of the smoke bomb, the sugar will be oxidized to carbon

potassium will end up as potassium carbonate (the carbon coming from the CO2 from the sugar).

Nonprofit Hospital
Should we receive our treatment, nonprofit or for profit hospitals? Many people would say there is
little distinction between the two. One can receive adequate treatment at either institution; however,
some would say they have specific differences in how care is administered. This work will make
informative comparisons between the two institutions, argue the merits, and explain how they both
operate to save lives.
First, let s look at the organization of a non profit hospital. A non profit hospital is by definition one
that exists solely to be at the service of the community s healthcare needs. One of the most important
distinctions about a non profit hospital is that no person or company makes any money due to non
profit hospitals. Therefore, all of the income received by a non profit hospital is to be used to help not
only the patients, improve the overall health of a particular community.
At the present time, there are about 2,800 non profit hospitals in the United States (Shah et al, 2007).

The quality of care can arguably be based more on policies of individual hospitals and who they
employ rather than its financial circumstances, some researchers have determined certain differences
between how patients are treated in nonprofit and for profit organizations (Mueller, 2016). Nonprofits
may not offer the best quality when it comes down to upgraded technology because they find it hard to
find funding (Mueller, 2016). For profit hospitals usually have more capital, which provides them with
state of the art equipment. George Washington University on the other hand have stated that the two
hospitals are equal in how they administer care and treat their patients. There is nothing saying that the
quality of care given at each institution more effective than the other. The difference lies in the type of
equipment used and the

The Well Being Aristotle And Human Happiness
Our Well Being: Aristotle and Human Happiness What is the purpose of a human being? Happiness is
the meaning and the purpose of life, the whole aim and end of human existence (Nicomachean
Ethics). When one thinks about happiness, these words said by Aristotle allow us to understand its
significance. Through Aristotle s teachings, he made it clear that the point of life is to be happy.
Aristotle uses the word happiness as having to do with a person s life as a whole, and not as the
constant desire of wanting to experience pleasure (Aristotle s Ethics). People tend view happiness as
an emotion that is not long lasting, while it is really about accumulating the good experienced an
entire lifetime. To Aristotle, happiness is about flourishing, virtues, focusing on our well being, and
self sufficiency. Aristotle is an ancient Greek philosopher who has played a part in subjects such as
mathematics and ethics. As a known student of Plato, Aristotle s knowledge on various topics
immensely affected people s philosophical views. For Aristotle, his definitions of human happiness
and a good life consist of being virtuous all throughout life. Happiness comes from being an overall
good person; this is the best way to lead a life and give it meaning (Psychology Today). According to
Aristotle, happiness is a continuing achievement. Happiness is more a question of behavior and of
habit of virtue than of luck; a person who cultivates such behaviors and habits is able to bear his

Covert Drone Program And Targeting Killings
Years preceding the terrorist attack on the 11th of September 2001, the CIA and the United States Air
Force had already developed the facility to use aerial vehicles, piloted remotely, as weapons. Yet, it
was the occurrence of 9/11 that sparked the use of armed remote piloted aerial vehicles (better known
as drones) in the global War of Terror led by the United States. The purpose of this position paper is to
examine the legality of the covert armed drone program, specifically in the Federally Administered
Tribal Areas (FATA) in Pakistan. It will consider the extent of accuracy of the legal frameworks
relative to the drone program and targeted killings. To do so, exploring the context in which the United
States justifies its actions and military strategies regarding the Global War on Terror is important. This
paper will be providing a review of, amongst other references, two pieces of academic literature that
discuss the presence of drone warfare in Pakistan: Mark Mazzetti s The Way of the Knife: The CIA, A
Secret Army, and a War at the Ends of the Earth and David Sanger s Confront and Conceal: Obama s
Secret Wars and Surprising Use of American Power. They will be used as evidence to support the
questionability of the legal frameworks relative to the armed drone conflict.

military action, referring to a phrase used by John Brennan, the former chief of counter terrorism

The theft or sharing of information could be intentional or unintentional. In any of these case, even if
the outsourcing service provider keeps the outsourced information available, unchanged and
accessible to the owners at all times, there are still risks of possible data confidentiality issues.
The use of an enterprise service provider for processing information systems applications such as
payroll, human resources, or sales order taking is another excellent way for organizations to minimize
cost while still experience the full benefit of an IT system. It is worth noting that while this is very
cost effective and significantly reduces the load on an organization, outsourcing an organization s IT
applications to an enterprise service provider for processing is a risky path to thread. Information
privacy and integrity are at a very great risk here. An enterprise service provider or employers of the
provider are capable of selling out the customers, employees and sales information of one organization
to another. Employees of the Service providers could also include their name (create false employees)
among the names of legitimate employees of the outsourced organization and masquerade as one of
the real employees and receive pay every pay period. These and other privacy and integrity concern
must be taken into serious consideration by organization outsourcing interested in outsourcing to an
enterprise service

Nature Vs Nurture Wuthering Heights
In Emily Brontё s Wuthering Heights gothic elements such as recurring deaths, and the ruins of
Wuthering Heights work together to further the plot and support the theme, nature vs. nurture. Death
brings more than despair for the characters in this novel. Characters such as those in Wuthering
Heights can be directly affected by death, whether it they have a change in mood or a whole new
mindset from it. Heathcliff, for example, became deranged from Catherine s death. He became a
practically evil man. Heathcliff becoming the wicked man he portrays sets the novel into action.

the houses amplified the difference in class, stature, and ways of life. The ruins of Wuthering Heights
made those living there have a different mindset and look as if they couldn t reach the Thrushcross

Wuthering Heights nurtures those into whom they become. For instance, Catherine, after leaving
Wuthering Heights came back Nelly describes her as, a very dignified person.... as opposed to, a wild,
hatless little savage (Brontё 52). Her time at the ruined Wuthering Heights made her into a ruined and
hateful girl herself. If Wuthering Heights resembled that of Thrushcross Grange then there would not
be a shift in Catherine s or anyone s character. In fact, the novel wouldn t have a difference between
the two settings, making both households equal. The Gothic elements of recurring death and the ruins
of Wuthering Heights foster the plot by making creating a series of events in a chain reaction after

The Scientific Revolution And Religion
The Scientific Revolution was not intended to be a war on religion and tradition even though it was
interpreted as such. The Scientific Revolution, which lasted roughly from 1543 to 1642, was arguably
the greatest development in the European intellectual history (Kreis, 2012). It was a revolution in the
way people perceived the world. During this era, scientific revolutionaries like Nicholas Copernicus,
the Polish astronomer (1473 1543); Descartes, the French philosopher (1596 1650) and Isaac Newton
the British mathematician (1642 1727) tried to better understand man and the physical world thereby
overturning the authorities of the Church and the scientists and philosophers who preceded them,
including Ptolemy, Galen and Aristotle. It was mainly the Copernican theory that caused many to
perceive the Scientific Revolution as a war on tradition. As far as understanding the universe was
concerned, the medieval world depended on the work of Claudius Ptolemy (c. 90 168), the ... Show

Pros And Cons Of Independence Movements
Independence movements have occurred across the globe as long as countries have existed. Stronger
and more developed countries frequently attempt to grow their empires through means of colonization
or imperialism which leave long lasting effects on nations and generations to come. The two nations
that I have chosen to compare and contrast with regards to independence movements are Morocco and
Brazil. Each country experienced pros and cons during the time they were under the control of
different nations and each was able to establish independence after growing pains and frustrations
occurred.
Analysis
Although both countries, Morocco and Brazil, were products of European imperialism, they each
encountered very different experiences. Morocco was a French protectorate between the years of 1912
and 1955. When nearby countries experienced economic weakness and crises, they succumbed to rule
by the British, Turkish or French. Morocco was able to avoid exterior control until rivalries between
European nations started increasing until inevitably, France stepped in. Morocco had previously been
independent for over 1,000 years and had openly accepted influences from Muslin Iberia as well as the
Ottoman Empire. France had expressed interest in Morocco as early as 1830 as the country was
deemed advantageous geographically, and Portugal was gaining protectorates and control of the
Atlantic coast of Africa.
Morocco opposed French rule and frustrations stemmed from the start even though

mysterious reasons for the shunning of the child can be guessed at in committee, but without more

came through the supposedly impassable Ardennes Forest. In two days, May 13 to 15, the Germans
forced two crossings of the Meuse River and tore a 50 mile gap in the French front. On June 10, Italy
entered the war on Germanys side and attacked France in the South. On June 14, the Germans entered
Paris, and on June 22, France surrendered to Germany. All of Europe was now under German control,
or German Allies control. They had taken Poland, France, Norway, Denmark, Czechoslovakia,
Romania, and the Balkans, all using blitzkrieg tactics. Nobody up to this point had ever had enough
time to set up a defense to truly test the German Army, and Hitler s only way of war. By this point in
the war, Hitler was so confident in his blitzkrieg tactics, that his next move was to use blitzkrieg

  • 2. Do You Really Want A Baby Tiger Analysis According to Mia Lewis, author of Do You Really Want a Baby Tiger, there has been a huge increase in the amount of people who own exotic animals in the states. Many people find the need to have an exotic animal to stand out from all the rest. Although most people don t understand how costly it is to own an exoctic animal or how you have to furfill their needs and even the dangers of owning an exoctic pet which is why owning an exoctic pet is not a good idea. Money is a big part of our everyday lives. It is how we live, take care of ourselves, provide for ourselves and everything inbetween. In Do You Really Want a Baby Tiger, Mia Lewis states not just the food and the vet bills, although those can indeed be considerable . With that in mind, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Grade 1 Research Paper Grade 1 The resource selected to effectively support the recognition and classification of 2D and 3D shapes is a maths game Kangaroo Hop accessed from Math Playground (URL http://www.mathplayground.com/ASB_Kangaroo_Hop.html). The game can have up to 4 players and the aim is to be the first to reach the end. To win, a player must correctly identify the shape that comes up at the bottom of the screen and hop onto it. For example, if the word sphere comes up, the student must correctly identify the sphere and hop onto it. The game utilizes both 2D and 3D shapes and also includes some shapes that children may not be aware of such as parallelograms and pentagons. If the student chooses a wrong answer, they fall into the water and are given ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It also acknowledges the content description as children use origami skills to fold their two dimensional nets into three dimensional objects, such as prisms and pyramids. Thinking about 3D shapes through nets can be very beneficial to understanding the representation of shapes in multiple forms (Tartre, 1990). They help students to conceptualise surface area, the logistics of volume and side lengths through special visualisation. Before the construction of the 3D shapes, while children are in the decorating stage, I will prompt thinking by asking how many sides their shape will have when it s completed or what side of the net do they think will be the base. One key problem with the worksheet selected, is that it names the 3D shape that will be created from the net. I will remove this because I think it is essential for students to be able to recognise and correctly identify the shape for themselves as this is something they are asked to do in most standardised maths tests. This idea is supported by the NSW Department of Education as they recognise students must have the ability to perceive and hold an appropriate mental image of an object . In order to further support the development of modelling 3D shapes, I will implement another creative activity where students can ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Enzyme Biological Systems By Speeding Up The Chemical... Enzymes catalyze biological systems by speeding up the chemical reactions included. Enzymes developed from the peroxidase that is obtained from the different roots reacts with the hydrogen peroxide, which releases H2 and water. The extra hydrogen is indicated by the color change of the solution that is used to measure the rate of enzyme activity. When the rate of enzyme activity was high, the activity always occurred in the roots in the beginning stages of their development. However, when the rate of enzyme activity was low during the roots development, sucrose was present. Sucrose was not present in roots when the tissues consisted of high activities of acid invertase. Radish roots proved to have the rate of enzyme of activity remained high until maturity and showed to not have considerable amounts of sucrose. In addition, radish roots can be seen to have similar rate of enzyme activity when compared to the turnip roots because these roots also maintained a high enzyme activity until maturity and did not have considerable amounts of sucrose. Both roots, as a result, reduced sugars being the main reserve. Through the experiment having to do with sugar accumulation and invertase activity during the development of turnip and radish roots, it was observed that these matured roots consumed higher amounts of reducing sugars than sucrose (Ricardo, 1974). In addition, similar changes in sugar content to the turnip roots, invertase activity and dry weight were also detected ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. Marquise De Merteuil There is something about going to a live theater that just offers that something that you can t really experience when watching a movie. The uncertainty and the live aspects of the performances makes you feel part of the story in a way instead of being the outsider that s just watching it. Everything is bigger, louder, better in a live theater and even having rea stage actors staring at you instead of a camera, you get a sense of excitement that makes the whole experience enjoyable. I certainly got that feeling when I got a chance to sit down and watch Les Liaisons Dangereuses at the center stage. According to the Center Stage website, the plot summary reads Two French aristocrats, Marquise de Merteuil and her ex lover, the Vicomte de Valmont, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... For me I don t have an inherent problem with characters that are just plain awful, I can appreciate them as such but in most cases the way these types of characters are written doesn t always stand out to me and in worse cases the narrative tries to force me to sympathize with them instead of letting me feel for myself. Looking at Merteuil character on paper, you d almost want to describe her as brutal and maybe even unsympathetic yet Douglas manages to give layers to this character that weren t just an evil hard ass but showed a human side to her that had pain and a soul that was damaged while maintaining that fierce persona. One of my personal favorite moments from the play was when she explains to Valmont that main source of power women of her time have the withholding of sex while Men Can ruin us whenever the fancy takes you. She goes on to say All we can achieve by denouncing you is to enhance your prestige. We can t even get rid of you when we want to Setting wise I thought the design for the play was very beautiful. I ve been to other plays set in a similar time period and sometimes the rococo fashion and scenery can easily make everything look tacky and gaudy but thankfully this wasn t the case. One thing that stood out to me the most was the square pattern on the floor that looked like a chessboard. It didn t click with me at first but after I had time to reflect after the play I thought about how that may have been a clever symbol about how this is all just part of a game between Merteuil and ... The tanning services being offered are often found on or near college campus s. While this may passively reinforce tanning and harmful nature, as a salon business owner I would put aside the unethical choices, and make decisions in what is best for marketing choices. As I see it promoting this near campus tanning salon movement and using demographic techniques can affect the salon marketing industry in both good and bad ways. Even though I may not agree with teenage tanning, I feel that by using this marketing tactic the sales forecast will plummet. By providing campus cash services, the business owner will be able to increase the chances of the students entering the salon. Many college students can not afford to pay for extra tanning costs, however if they are able to use campus cash they will more likely to use tanning facilities. The main character, a young girl named Scout, does not fully understand the concept of these different social classes and often fails to recognize which one she belongs to. As the story progresses, it becomes known to the reader that Scout is part of the highest social class in Maycomb. However, because of the conditions she is raised in, she does not fit in with a certain group of women that this class is mainly composed of: the Southern belles. Throughout the story, it is evident that some Maycomb women possess the traits of a Southern Belle persona, such as while Scout does not, due to the fact that she grows up without a mother. The term Southern belle refers to a wealthy but well mannered young woman, often characterized by her chaste demeanor and submissive attitude, who tries to reach perfection in almost every aspect of her life. • 15. Rhetorical Analysis Of Abraham Lincoln s The Gettysburg... In the nineteenth century, the United States of America existed as two separate entities at war with one another. Because the founding fathers left a pressing matter unaddressed and the government incomplete, the country they worked to establish fell into war with itself. In his speech The Gettysburg Address, Abraham Lincoln discusses the goals of the founding fathers in establishing the United States. He implies another meaning to these goals to encourage the Union troops, those fighting to abolish slavery, to continue the fight. He also challenges them to honor their fellow soldiers who sacrificed their lives by continuing to fight. Lincoln utilizes the mission of the founding fathers and the recent fallen to encourage the unification of the nation. To establish the importance of unity, Lincoln reemphasizes the purpose of founding the nation; however, he implies a different meaning. In the context of the speech, Lincoln is encouraging the Union s troops to continue the fight for a united nation; the goal of the Union is to abolish slavery and establish equal rights. Lincoln redefines the founding father s statement that all men are created equal, (Lincoln, 2014, p. 115). He implies that this definition includes all men no matter the race, while the original purpose only included white men. The war that tore apart the nation was because of racial inequality. This definition aligns with the mission of the Union. Without an understanding of some form, the nation the founding fathers brought forth on this continent...conceived in Liberty, (Lincoln, 2014, p. 115) would cease to exist. Liberty means that nothing oppresses the nation; however, unequal rights for the citizens restricts this liberty. Therefore, the nation the founding fathers envisioned cannot exist while slavery exists. By reiterating and refocusing the mission of the founding fathers, Lincoln explains the reason for unification. Lincoln expands on the significance of the sacrifices the citizens recently made for the betterment of the nation. Lincoln gives The Gettysburg Address standing on the battlefield soldiers died on to dedicate the grounds as a memorial to them and to honor the sacrifices they made. • 31. Covert Drone Program And Targeting Killings Years preceding the terrorist attack on the 11th of September 2001, the CIA and the United States Air Force had already developed the facility to use aerial vehicles, piloted remotely, as weapons. Yet, it was the occurrence of 9/11 that sparked the use of armed remote piloted aerial vehicles (better known as drones) in the global War of Terror led by the United States. The purpose of this position paper is to examine the legality of the covert armed drone program, specifically in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) in Pakistan. It will consider the extent of accuracy of the legal frameworks relative to the drone program and targeted killings. To do so, exploring the context in which the United States justifies its actions and military strategies regarding the Global War on Terror is important. This paper will be providing a review of, amongst other references, two pieces of academic literature that discuss the presence of drone warfare in Pakistan: Mark Mazzetti s The Way of the Knife: The CIA, A Secret Army, and a War at the Ends of the Earth and David Sanger s Confront and Conceal: Obama s Secret Wars and Surprising Use of American Power. They will be used as evidence to support the questionability of the legal frameworks relative to the armed drone conflict. In The Way of the Knife, Mark Mazzetti discusses the new methods adopted by the United States military action, referring to a phrase used by John Brennan, the former chief of counter terrorism advisor: ... It is worth noting that while this is very cost effective and significantly reduces the load on an organization, outsourcing an organization s IT applications to an enterprise service provider for processing is a risky path to thread. Information privacy and integrity are at a very great risk here. An enterprise service provider or employers of the provider are capable of selling out the customers, employees and sales information of one organization to another. Employees of the Service providers could also include their name (create false employees) among the names of legitimate employees of the outsourced organization and masquerade as one of the real employees and receive pay every pay period. • 33. Nature Vs Nurture Wuthering Heights In Emily Brontё s Wuthering Heights gothic elements such as recurring deaths, and the ruins of Wuthering Heights work together to further the plot and support the theme, nature vs. nurture. Death brings more than despair for the characters in this novel. Characters such as those in Wuthering Heights can be directly affected by death, whether it they have a change in mood or a whole new mindset from it. Heathcliff, for example, became deranged from Catherine s death. He became a practically evil man. Heathcliff becoming the wicked man he portrays sets the novel into action. The ruins of Wuthering Heights made the household seem less noble and respected. A ruined home and structure compared them to the winsome Thrushcross Grange. The differences of the houses amplified the difference in class, stature, and ways of life. The ruins of Wuthering Heights made those living there have a different mindset and look as if they couldn t reach the Thrushcross standards. Also, those who lived at Wuthering Heights had a much different attitude, this because Wuthering Heights nurtures those into whom they become. For instance, Catherine, after leaving Wuthering Heights came back Nelly describes her as, a very dignified person.... as opposed to, a wild, hatless little savage (Brontё 52). Her time at the ruined Wuthering Heights made her into a ruined and hateful girl herself. If Wuthering Heights resembled that of Thrushcross Grange then there would not be a shift in Catherine s or anyone s character. In fact, the novel wouldn t have a difference between the two settings, making both households equal. The Gothic elements of recurring death and the ruins of Wuthering Heights foster the plot by making creating a series of events in a chain reaction after each death. • 38. Lynch Syndrome Lynch syndrome, previously known as hereditary nonpolyposis colorectal cancer (HNPCC) is a parental inherited condition that exposes a person to the risks of cancers, but most commonly colon cancer1 9. It is a heterozygous autosomal dominant genetic condition, which means that if only one parent carries the gene for Lynch syndrome (LS), then a 50 percent chance of passing on the mutation will be passed to each child1 9. LS is limited to families with a known pathogenic germline mutation2. CpG islands are clusters of the sequence CG which may be gathered near promoter regions in a gene10. Another role is when the Lynch associated tumors developed as a result a somatic loss of function of the last normal allele of the mutated gene2. Somatic loss of function is a genetic change that takes place in a somatic cell, but the change is not aquired2,10. The Scientific Revolution, which lasted roughly from 1543 to 1642, was arguably the greatest development in the European intellectual history (Kreis, 2012). It was a revolution in the way people perceived the world. During this era, scientific revolutionaries like Nicholas Copernicus, the Polish astronomer (1473 1543); Descartes, the French philosopher (1596 1650) and Isaac Newton the British mathematician (1642 1727) tried to better understand man and the physical world thereby overturning the authorities of the Church and the scientists and philosophers who preceded them, including Ptolemy, Galen and Aristotle. Stronger and more developed countries frequently attempt to grow their empires through means of colonization or imperialism which leave long lasting effects on nations and generations to come. The two nations that I have chosen to compare and contrast with regards to independence movements are Morocco and Brazil. Each country experienced pros and cons during the time they were under the control of different nations and each was able to establish independence after growing pains and frustrations occurred. Analysis Although both countries, Morocco and Brazil, were products of European imperialism, they each encountered very different experiences. Morocco was a French protectorate between the years of 1912 and 1955. When nearby countries experienced economic weakness and crises, they succumbed to rule by the British, Turkish or French. Morocco was able to avoid exterior control until rivalries between European nations started increasing until inevitably, France stepped in. Morocco had previously been independent for over 1,000 years and had openly accepted influences from Muslin Iberia as well as the Ottoman Empire. France had expressed interest in Morocco as early as 1830 as the country was deemed advantageous geographically, and Portugal was gaining protectorates and control of the Atlantic coast of Africa. On May 10, 1940 the Germans attacked Belgium and the Netherlands to surpass the Maginot line. However, the main attack came through the supposedly impassable Ardennes Forest. In two days, May 13 to 15, the Germans forced two crossings of the Meuse River and tore a 50 mile gap in the French front.
