My Family Essay
Crafting an essay on the topic of "My Family" may seem deceptively simple at first glance, as
one might assume that discussing something as personal as family would be an effortless task.
However, delving into the intricacies of familial relationships and attempting to encapsulate the
essence of one's family in a coherent and engaging essay can prove to be a challenging endeavor.
The challenge lies not only in presenting the mundane details about family members but also in
capturing the intangible aspects that define the unique dynamics within a family. It requires
navigating the fine line between sentimentality and objectivity, avoiding clichГ©s while still
expressing genuine emotions. Balancing the portrayal of each family member, their roles, and the
collective experiences shared can be a delicate task, as one tries to encapsulate a diverse range of
personalities, histories, and memories within the constraints of a written composition.
Moreover, the difficulty intensifies when one considers the need to infuse the essay with a
narrative arc or a thematic focus that ties together the various elements of the family story. It
demands the writer to reflect on the significance of their family in shaping their identity and
growth, weaving a cohesive narrative that resonates with the reader on a deeper level.
Additionally, the challenge extends to maintaining a balance between introspection and outward
observation. While the essay should offer personal insights and reflections, it must also avoid
becoming too self-indulgent or excessively detailed, ensuring that the narrative remains
accessible and relatable to a broader audience.
In essence, the difficulty in writing a compelling "My Family" essay lies in the nuanced art of
storytelling, introspection, and the ability to distill the essence of a complex and multifaceted
topic into a coherent and engaging narrative. It requires the writer to navigate through layers of
personal experiences, emotions, and memories while maintaining a level of objectivity that
allows the reader to connect with the universal themes embedded in the family tale.
And, if the task seems daunting, remember that assistance is readily available. Similar essays,
tailored to individual needs, and much more can be ordered on HelpWriting.net, offering a

Essay On African American Spirituals
African slaves in the United States created Christian songs called spirituals; the songs
emphasized the hardships of slavery. Today, they are referred to as Negro spirituals,
Black spirituals, African American spirituals, church songs, jubilees, holy roller
songs, and African American folk songs. The African American
spirituals originated
from western and central African countries. The use of spirituals began in the 1500s,
when Africans were taken from their homelands and traditions to work as slaves in
the New World. While in captive, slaves used their spirituals to pass times while
working, communicate without outsiders knowing, and most importantly to keep
connected with their religious beliefs.
Before 1865 spirituals were known as shouts . Hand clapping, foot tapping, and deep
humming were usually involved in the shouts and the tunes were closely related to
those of hymns from the bible. African American spirituals sent messages of how to
live by God. The lyrics of the spirituals were most ... Show more content on

During the 1960s Civil Rights Movement for African Americans many spirituals
like We shall overcome , Oh Freedom , and This Little Light Of Mine were sung to
boost moral and keep faith among the people. Other social issues that inspired new
spirituals include lack of love, drugs, and war. For special events words of
traditional spirituals would be changed to coordinate, for example the words of
Joshua Fought the Battle of Jericho were changed to Marching round Selma .
Also during this time, pop gospel was created. They very popular within local

genre with songs like Oh Happy Day . These types of spirituals usually resulted in

The other option of payment that ASDA has was customer can choose to use self

input the types of items, weight them and place all scanned items into a bagging area

In some cases the shoppers are trying to purchase an item through self scan tills,

There were no security staffs that checked any suspected customers who try to steal

Secondly, what has been noticed in the ASDA is they used high stacked shelves to
put the groceries item. This means, their customers able sneak any items without
being seen by staff. It is because robbers often have a loitering period before they
strike when they are getting comfortable inside the store. Since the stacked shelves in
ASDA are high, the robbers feel invisible to employees. Thus, ASDA should use
lower shelves that can reduce incidences of shoplifting.
Thirdly, it has been noticed that there were advertisement posted on window. it is
important to remain visible from in and out of store. Therefore when there are
intruders inside intended to harm anyone in the store, they can be clearly seen by
people from outside the store. That is the reason why ASDA payment section is

Materialism In Henry David Thoreau
I, Henry David Thoreau, have found myself aggrieved upon your article, Pond
Scum, that questions my beliefs of nature and my way of life. You have
proclaimed statements that do not fit me so, such as being sanctimonious,
hypocritical, and misanthropic; for those reasons, you think I should not be as
admired as I am today. However, I refuse to subject to those claims because my
teachings and beliefs are all in the name of the divinity of nature. There is much
more to this world than our materialistic values and complex lifestyle, and if we
were just able to open our eyes and look deep within, then you as well shall be able
to understand my teachings. You first accuse me of being sanctimonious, that I am
superior and holier than everyone else in this world. Before criticizing my political
philosophies, you include my quote about the prophet, It seems as if I were more
favored by the gods ...in possession of revealed truth and entitled to enlighten others.
Thoreau, comfortable with that posture, sneered at those who were not (7). It is true
that I see myself peculiar from everyone else, but I am not as egotistical as you may
think. Claiming existence in the universe is not disgraceful, it should be valued.
Every person should be allowed to think for themselves, to follow their intuition, and
seek what they think is right without the insight from others. We should be allowed to
trust our gut because the head is easily fooled than the heart. Therefore, I refute your
Definitions Of The Data Warehouse
1Defining the Data Warehouse
The definition of a data warehouse can be found in many textbooks, articles, and on
line information sources. In general, the definitions describe a database with the
following attributes:
A data warehouse typically holds very large volumes of data.
The data for the data warehouse is collected regularly from multiple information
systems within the business.
The data warehouse is a comprehensive source of data generated by the business,
covering long periods of time.
The data must be extracted, transformed and loaded (the ETL process) from the
original sources into the data warehouse.
The data sources generally do not all have the same format or structure, hence the
need to transform the data so that it matches the configuration of the data warehouse.
Other technology is needed to access and use the data in the data warehouse; these
are applications for data mining, business intelligence, dashboards, etc.
Data warehouses are being used by all types of businesses, including profit and not for
profit organizations. Their use also spans many industries, including governments.
The collecting and storing of large volumes of data from all information systems
within an organization provides a single source of information for management
decision making.
The data warehouse does not directly provide the information needed to the user;
analytics must be obtained using other technology. This can take the form of business

BioSci 101 Lab Section 810
QUANTITATIVE PLATING
PURPOSE
The purpose of this lab is to see the effects of pasteurization while emphasizing the
process for serial dilutions.
PROCEDURE
See references (1)
RESULTS
As the dilution factor increased for both the raw milk (unpasteurized) and pasteurized
milk samples, the number of colonies decreased. The number of cells/mL in the
pasteurized milk sample is considerably less than the number of cells/mL in the raw
milk sample.
RAW (UNPASTEURIZED) SAMPLE Dilution Factor| Number of Colonies| Number

This demonstrates that raw milk contains a lot of bacteria even after multiple serial
dilutions. In the 10 3 pasteurized sample, the plate exhibited 71,000 cells/mL. The
results of the additional dilution samples contained too few colony forming units to
count. However, in the 10 7 dilution, although the plate demonstrated 12 colonies,
there should have been no colony forming units on this plate. The reasons for this
could have been that this sample was contaminated from double dipping the sample
before dispensing it onto the plate or when using the pipette, it mistakenly was
inserted in a higher concentration sample and then immediately to a lower
concentration sample before it was dispensed onto the plate.
The results suggest that pasteurization kills most pathogens in milk by brief exposure
to relatively high temperature. This was demonstrated most beneficially with the
10 6 and 10 7 dilutions wherein the raw milk exhibited 284,000,000 cells/mL and
440,000,000 cells/mL respectively and the pasteurized milk had too few cell
colony forming units to even count. Unpasteurized milk is not healthy for people to
drink. For example, in a study performed in December of 2001, the bacteria
Campylobacter jejuni, a microaerophilic bacteria commonly found in animal feces,
was found in unpasteurized milk at an organic dairy farm in Wisconsin and caused
75 people, ages 2 to 63, to become ill.
Family Car Research Paper
I used my family car Saturn Vue 2008 for this project. In the first part, I learned
different parts of the car and how to use them. The car has automatic transmission.
Its gears are located on the center console between two front seats. You can identify
them by a position of the stick and by letters on it, that show types of gears. When
you start the vehicle you can use parking or neutral gears. You should enter the key
into ignition with wide side up. My key was metal with plastic holder. The key
could be different: shorter or longer. There is also parking brake, which located to
the right of the driver s seat. If you don t want your vehicle to move, you should
firmly set it, by holding the brake pedal down, and pull up on the parking brake
lever. To release it, press the release button of the parking brake and push it down.

Next things I ve learned were vehicle controls and devices. The turn signal lever is
located on the instrument panel, behind the wheel on the left side. If the lever is up
you turn right. If it is down, you turn left. The car has power door locks, automatic
door lock, and rear door security locks. The hazard flashers are located in the front
and rear turn signal lamps, which you use to warn the police and others that you
have a problem. Inside, when you activate flashers, two green arrows appear on the
instrument panel and start flashing with a clicking sound. Outside, when you activate
hazard flashers, front and rear lights start blinking. The hood release is located under
the steering wheel on the left, and to use it from the inside you should pull the
release button. To unlatch the hood on my car pull the handle with hood release
symbol under the instrument panel on the driver s seat. The light switch is located on
the left side from the steering wheel. If you want to put on the high beam lights,

In the simulation software, a tool named Signal Distribution was used for analysis
of RF signal. I used the following formula for manually calculating the channel
interference of two APs: channel interference = (90+P) x 100/60, where P was the
signal Power and swapped the corresponding signal power to determine the
strength of the interference of one other. CE1.18 For pre deployment survey

called AirMagnet planner. I installed a single AP in the location site and simulated
different virtual APs on the floor plan based on the Mapinfo software to estimate
the expected coverage. Based on the spatial report of the survey provided by the
Mapinfo, I analysed the spatial terrain feature of the new BTS site. The virtual

Pignati, John and Lorraine talked about how they met and what they thought of
their parents. The way they met Pignati was when Dennis, Norton, John, and
Lorraine were prank calling random people to try to be the one with the longest
phone call. Lorraine glanced at the names in the phone book so she could choose
who to call. While talking to Pignati she was trying to beat the score for the longest

Heathcliff
Wuthering Heights is a novel whose main character is said to have a double
significance. He is said to be both the dispossessed and the dispossessor, victim of
class hatred and arch exploiter, he simultaneously occupies the roles of working
class outsider and brutal capitalist. Heathcliff has all these characteristics because
of his experiences. He is a character moulded by his past. Heathcliff is a character
defined by his sympathetic past. Growing up as an orphan from a tender age,
deprived of a structured family and family support system, exposed to the negative
influences life offered, it is almost a certainty that his behaviour will not be that of an
ideal gentleman. Heathcliff was adopted by Mr Earnshaw. He was then... Show more

However Catherine lured Heathcliff into a relationship, brain washed him into
thinking that she truely loved him and was going to marry him one fine day.
Instead she discarded their relationship and decided to marry Edgar Linton, a
wealthy man. Catherine discarded her relationship with Heathcliff, for one main
reason and that was because he was not a wealthy man. It was obvious that
Catherine married Edgar so she could be the greatest woman of the neighbourhood
and if she married Heathcliff it would degrade her and they would both end up as
beggars . This a good example of how Heathcliff was a victim of class hatred. His
impulsive actions makes his character, not only revengeful, but also demonic. His
goal in life was to take revenge on those who have victimized him. Heathcliff is a
victim of class hatred but he also manipulates situations to his advantage and
becomes an arch exploiter. For example, after the death of his wife, Hindley went
insane. Heathcliff used this opportunity to take revenge and took Wuthering Heights
away from Hindley. He then went further and married Edgar s sister, not for love or
monetary gain but to get back at Edgar for marrying Catherine, and treated Edgar s
sister terribly. Heathcliff s anger intensified and he was bent on destroying not only
his enemies but also their families. He then married his son to Catherine and Edgar s
daughter in an attempt to gain control over Thrushcross Grange. After

The pollution is leaving our footprint rate out of control! Knowing that they have
gotten rid of all the coal generators is a big reduction of the ecological footprint.
Without the generators burning off the coal, the pollution will stay at a lower rate

city doesn t have to worry about trying to maintain the pollution levels as much as
we used to and we can focus on more of the major projects.

Yes, there were tons of benefits that came out of the phasing out but there are also
many disadvantages. Coal was one of the easy stable resources to get a hold of.
There was many of it. Even though it is non renewable it was very cheap. Without

Adult Entertainment and First Ammendment Rights
The essence of the American dream stems from freedom. Before this nation was even

the United States. Seeing that we are a nation that is culturally diverse myriad of

These people have the absolute right, based on the first amendment, to voice their

Current laws in Seminole and Orange counties prohibit adult entertainment
establishments from being located within one mile of any residential area. Further,
recent changes in county codes have limited full nudity in Seminole County. Having
instituted this law prior to the foundation of an adult entertainment facility in the
county it is fair to say that any business man would have equal opportunity to

Unfortunately to better suit the growing nature of society residential areas expand

Should these business be forced to move because the residence moved closer to

Rise Of American Feudalism
Feudalism was the predominant way of life before capitalism. During the feudal
era, everyone lived life according to the privileges and obligations that were
associated with their social standing. The interest of everyone one the manor was
to please a higher lord s: vassals sought to pay their debts and lords would provide
residents of the manor with the means of subsistence in exchange for their labor.
On a manor, there was no currency; all obligations were paid in kind or were done
to repay someone else for their service. In a capitalist society, the goal of the
individual is to acquire as much wealth for himself. He is only interested in gaining
moneyfor his interest as opposed to paying obligatory debts like in feudalism. After

With the rise of capitalism and the spread of money into rural areas, vassals began
to commodity their labor, and lords began to commodity their land. Commodifying
land and labor allowed lords and vassals to receive more cash on a regular basis,
yet the payments they received were still not steady and constant. As more vassals
and lords commodified land and labor, land and labor soon became regarded as
commodities. In feudalism, labor was seen as a relationship between the laborer
and the lord, or the person receiving the labor. With the spread of monetization,
however, the concept of abstract labor was introduced: a laborer could now sell his
capacity/power and ability to do labor and the purchaser would be the owner of
anything that the laborer produced (i.e. if someone buys someone s capacity to
cook a meal, the meal that the laborer produces with the boot capacity belongs to
the buyer). This new way of understanding labor soon became widespread and labor
feudal perceptions of labor were abandoned; labor had become a commodity, part
of a capitalist economy. Moreover, land was now thought of as a commodity that
could be bought and sold, unlike in feudalism where it was only seen as a lease
from a higher lord that could be exploited but never owned. Perceptions of property
also changed; property, or the amount of tangible goods someone had in their
possession,
Consequences Of Control
The Consequences of Controlling Others
Mandy Hale once said, The only keeper of happiness is you. Stop giving people
power to control your smile, your worth and your attitude. The one shot to live your
life enjoyably, is to be able to break free from the control of others. But countless
people find is tough to personally control and live their lives to the fullest. This does
not just result in a change in personality, but a change in the society. When people
allow themselves to be controlled by others, the consequences can be devastating.
One way these controlling natures can result in a negative consequence is that people
cannot display their true selves. Connie Schultz writes about her feelings as a child: I
grew up surrounded by children ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
By doing this, the child gains more courage to stand up. In the same way, to stand up
to others is having the courage to deep down in their heart. According to Jessica, a
student of Charleston, Mississippi High school, the horrors Connie were facing were
negligible: I started hanging out with Calvin; and my parents threatened me and
threatened me and threatened me (Prom Night in Mississippi n.pag.). It is
unacceptable for these controlling parents to employ their children to do what they
want. But, threatening a child to do what you want is repugnant landing far beyond
unacceptable demeanor. As a matter of fact, inviting yourself into others lives in
order to control them is ghastly, too. Aunt Alexandra, in the book To Kill a
Mockingbird, does just this: We decided that it would be best for you to have some
feminine influence. It won t be many years, Jean Louise, before you become
interested in clothes and boys (Lee 170). Aunt Alexandra is a refined, polite, proper
and put together lady. Nevertheless, her values and beliefs do not exactly meet with
Atticus values and beliefs. In other words, Aunt Alexandra does not like how Atticus
is raising Scout and Jem. As a result,
Gender Roles in Japan Essay
It is no secret that for centuries, the Japanese woman has been, to most observers, a
model of elegance and graceful beauty. A picture of a kimono clad, modest, and
often silent woman has been plastered everywhere, allowing for the upmost passive
subjection. If we look deeper into this image of woman, can we tell if this picture is
complete? How do these women painted in representative images far in the modern
world? The ideal womanin Japan is expected to be both a good wife, and a wise
mother. Though these seem like reasonable expectations, there is a much deeper
meaning to them that has shown signs of being outdated. During the 1800 s and

anything else. If you endure well in any circumstance, you will achieve happiness.
This quote is representative of the popular stereotype of Japanese women. It defines
how they worked hard at home to please the men, and did whatever was expected of
them without complaint. A key word in this quote is endurance. It is stated that a
woman who endures well in any circumstance will achieve happiness, and what is
said is true.
History reports that though there were many women in leadership positions (Queens,
empresses, etc.), they appeared to be second class citizens. It seemed as though the
only relationship they were prompted to have was with their husbands. However,
they endured. They came to the realization that if this is how life would be, this is the
life they would have to get used to. Due to multiple different influences, there are
many inconsistencies when it comes to the role of women in ancient Japan.

In August of 1964, in response to the American and GVN espionage along its coast,
the DRV launched a local and controlled attack against C. Turner Joy and the U.S.S.
Maddox , two American ships on call in the Gulf of Tonkin (Brigham 2). This resulted
in the United States government giving Lyndon Johnson the ability to make war
under the Gulf of Tonkin Resolution. President Johnson then gave orders to perform
air raids on Northern Vietnam pushing the United States further into the war.
Compared to 1962 when only 9,000 soldiers supported the South Vietnamese, by June
1965 82,000 soldiers occupied the country. The number only continued to rise
exponentially, and by 1966 370,000 soldiers had been sent in to prop their South
Vietnam allies. President Richard Nixon withdrew American soldiers from Vietnam
and as part of the vietnamization of the war. Over and 60,000 American soldiers had
been lost in a war to preserve the status quo, not to win. The United States spent more
than 120 billion dollars on the Vietnam War in efforts to stop the spread of
communism. How much of this money ended up in the private accounts of the series
of presidents that ruled South Vietnam will never be brought to light. Corruption was
rife in the government and military of South Vietnam. This immense amount of
money was merely squandered away on the war effort that was brought to an
inconclusive end. This
Mary Rowlandson Narrative Analysis
Mary Rowlandson, The Narrative of the Captivity and Restoration of Mrs. Mary
Rowlandson by Mary Rowlandson, is a captivity narrative, published in 1682.
Rowlandson expresses the story as a memoir, focusing on events that she has
witnessed as well as her experiences. Describing people along with events as they
appear to the outside reader from her impartial opinion. Rowlandson describes her
thoughts and motivations which allows the reader to understand her feelings towards
situations. The contextualization depicts the work which is placed in 1675, the past,
primarily in Massachusetts Bay Colony, extending from western Massachusetts to
Boston.
The essay pronounces the analyzation of the characterizational study of Mary
Rowlandson involving a Calvinist influence. Rowlandson s captivity becomes
conflicted by the blurred line between civilization and savagery that she faces, and
how she becomes capable of savagery especially when she in need of nourishment.
Although her character becomes uncivil at times, her dependence on the providence
of God, which relentlessly guides her way to survive even when she does not realize
at times.
Rowlandson is a puritan, which plays a central role in her life. When being
confronted with a tragic Indian attack, Rowlandson questions her assessment of
herself, but turns to the bible within her struggles casting herself alternately as Job,
whose suffering is a test of his faith. as he wounded me with one hand, so he healed
me with the other. (3).

The Frente Sandinista de LiberaciГіn Nacional (FSLN), or the Sandinista National
Liberation Front, came to power in Nicaragua in 1979 after ousting Anatasio Somoza
and putting an end to his family s thirty six year dictatorship. Prior to the revolution
that lead to their rise in power, the Sandinista National Liberation Front promised to
implement several developmental policies that would raise the living standards of
their fellow citizens. I previously argued that development is both a natural and man
made phenomenon which aims to positively shape the lives of people via economic,
cultural, and educational reform. By this definition the policies carried out by the

Nicaraguans also faced a life expectancy of fifty three years and routinely died from
illnesses that could have easily been treated and monitored. Half of the population
was illiterate and thirty percent of the nation s income went to five percent of the
population whilst fifteen percent was spread across fifty percent. These were just a
few of the conditions which prompted the Sandinista s into action and would
eventually determine their political promises and platform. The developmental
programs and policies they enacted were directly in response to these facts and were
meant to improve the lives of their nation s poorest people. Prior to coming to power,
the Sandinistas promised large scale agrarian reform and land redistribution. Agrarian
reform as a national development project was meant to raise the living standards of
landless peasant farmers and provide them with the opportunity to cultivate food for
consumption and sale. The rural bourgeoisie owned around eighty five percent of the
nation s farmland and comprised just five percent of the agricultural economically
active population (EAP). Peasant farmers, on the other hand, made up fifty eight
percent of the agricultural EAP and owned the remaining fifteen percent of the land.
Landless laborers, the main group for whom the Sandinistas had promised reform,
made up the remaining thirty seven percent of the agriculturally active population.

The Great Depression In Ron Howard s Film Cinderella
Man
The economic turmoil of the Great Depression is an unparalleled crisis in the
history of the modern United States. While recessions of the 1980s and 2000s were
each debilitating in their own regard, they pale in comparison to the monstrosity of
the 1930s. It is during this period of strife when director Ron Howard sets his 2005
movie Cinderella Man. In the film, James J. Braddock is a former boxing star on
the rise amidst the opulence of the Roaring Twenties and serves as a paragon of the
American Dream. However, the cruel reality of 1929 took all of this away from
Braddock, his wife, and his three children, leaving them to struggle in order to make
ends. Indeed, the Depression did not discriminate when it struck, and James and his
wife Mae... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The director s mixture of constant adversity with the sanguine nature of the
Braddocks reveals the values of perseverance and family present during the
Depression. Utilizing settings in squalor, adding details tangential to the main plot,
such as sending children away, and portraying personal relationships in the context
of economic despair creates a vivid representation of not only the business
downturn, but also the social strain manifested from the situation. From an acting
standpoint, Russell Crowe shines with his stellar performance of James J.
Braddock. Crowe s array of emotion evokes sympathy from the audience while
concomitantly demonstrating the pride felt by many during this period. By being
an independent breadwinner full of rectitude, Crowe asserted the feelings of many
men during these years regarding the need for a stolid, constant point of stability.
RenГ©e Zellweger, for her part as Mae, is able to extract the emotive side of
James, rounding out the picture of a cohesive family unit. Zellweger s use of grit

The Influence of American Culture in the 1950s and 1960s...
Canada as a nation has been striving to characterize itself as more ?Canadian? for
decades. This has included numerous struggles and events such as protests, bans, and
the creation of the Massey Commission, to encourage national development in the
arts, and support major companies like the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation
(CBC) and National Film Board (NFB). However, this has not been an easy task for
the Canadian government, as major influences from below the border (the United
States) have been captivating the Canadian audiences by large. American media has
had a momentous revolutionizing effect on Canada, even through efforts made to
define Canada with its own cultural identity.

The media began to control the way they lived their lives, what they wore, what they
listened to, and even what they believed. After all, everyone wants to roll with the
popular crowd.
The Canadian government could not possibly stand for further American conquest on
their culture and media. It was time to stop the inundation of Americanization before
they had lost all original material and their identity had vanished into the shadows of
Canadian history. A suitable action was taken by the Canadian Broadcasting
Corporation (CBC), stripping as much American content from the station as possible,
leaving only what was necessary to satisfy the popular demand (removing all
American substance had its consequences, severe as losing money and audiences, and
ensuing in the downfall of the broadcasting industry due to the lack of well known
content). This would leave space for more Canadian programming, as a result
fulfilling the promise of making Canada more Canadian, taking into consideration
even such a small modification.
The Canadian government?s plan to get rid of the great American culture influence
was one of many faults. There would be no way of carrying this out without
disappointing much of the un disturbed Canadian society, those who have grown

Comparing The Two Brother And The Little Match Seller
It is often that you do not take chance in life become cautious and give up on what
you are doing but in The Two Brother and The Little Match Seller. Both of these
text talk about or have caution in the story weather it is to do something or stand up
for some one they both have caution. In the Two Brothers it is about a magical rock
that has a message on it and one Brother goes and the other Brother stays home. In
the Little Match Seller it is about a girlwho lives with her dad and he is very mean
she then one night sees her grandmother who is dead and dies on New year s eve.
Other might think that theses texts are about people who have unfortunate events
that happen in their life, but a better theme is when you are cautious you will always
miss out on things in life. This theme is shown in the Two Brothers when they find
the tablet and one Brother goes on the adventure while the other one stays home and
in, The Little Match Seller the Little Girlis so cautious of what she does and she then
gets motivation from her grandmother to stand up for herself.
In the Two Brothers it is obvious that the little brother is a lot more during and the
older brother is more cautious of what he does. For example at the begining of the
story it says I am not going into the forest after bear cubs, said the elder brother, and I
advise you not to go (Tolstoy,P1) This evidence show that right in the beginning of
the story the older brother is more wise and the younger brother is more

Confidential Mediation
If you have never been involved in real estate or business mediation, there are a few
things that you need to know. First of all, mediation is confidential. Everything that
is discussed and documents prepared specifically for the mediation are not used
outside of the mediation process. They are not used in any portion of any ensuing
trial or litigation. The confidentiality of mediation is in place to ensure that parties
and attorneys can freely discuss facts and issues openly without the fear that comes

leaves both parties suddenly aware of what led to the dispute at hand. A careful
consideration of the different positions, important issues, and alternate perceptions
can give everyone an understanding of how difficult it is for a judge and/or jury
to come to a fair conclusion. Who is right? Who is telling the truth? Who can prove
their claims with proof? When all participants of mediation are involved and do
their part in the process, it is likely that mediation will succeed. This full
participation begins prior to the actual start of mediation. Each party should begin
their participation in the process by assisting in the planning of the mediation
process. Each party needs to help their attorney prepare for the mediation and then
listen carefully to what the opposing counsel offers with their opening statement.
This is a good preview of what the judge or jury will hear if the mediation is not

characters are expressive and detailed despite the absence of bright colors. The

the fairy queen Titania. They are surrounded by fairies, and enchanted animals while

seventeenth century by a German inventor, Ludwig von Siegen. Mezzotint was a

The Everlasting Impact Of The Medieval Church
Throughout history, the power of religion has held influence over many aspects of
society. Such clout can be seen through the reign of the Medieval church. Putting the
faith at the forefront of life created an everlasting impact on Western Europe, as the
church affected the society, culture, and government across the region. Specifically, it
was the Roman Catholic Church that left an impression on the world. It s faith
shaped the daily lives of the early people through worship and the surrounding
culture, as well as reshaping the government to spread it s papal power. Overall, it
was the church that built the European world.
Socially, the church created a lasting impact through it s calling for war. On multiple
occasions, through different Popes, the Roman Catholic Church summoned the
public into a religious frenzy. In 1095, Pope Urban II addressed the masses and
conjured a force to free the Holy Land from the invading Muslims. In his speech at
the Council of Clermont, Urban II stated that the men that had stood before him must
fight for Christ commands it . After the social gathering, men with their families, the
wealthy and the poverty stricken, embarked on the First Crusade. In the name of
their God, they fought against the Muslims and murdered Jews whose views
opposed their own faith. This hatred towards religious infidels and the Jewish people
would come into play in later Crusades, as well as throughout the world s history.

over the god vs. Science , leave the discussion and start trying to reason out the
differences they share and ultimately respect each other. As they say SCIENCE IS
GOD FOR THE SCIENTISTS , so may it be god or science they exist , and rather
glorify each others existence. Me personally , i m a believer in the all mighty god.
But also i am a logical person that accepts the innovations and the arguments that

Chillingworth is the Greatest Sinner in The Scarlet Letter
The world of Puritan New England, like the world of today, was filled with many
evil influences. Many people were able to withstand temptation, but some fell victim
to the dark side. Such offences against God, in thought, word, deed, desire or
neglect, are what we define as sin (Gerber 14).
In Nathaniel Hawthorne s The Scarlet Letter, the reader is able to observe how one
sin devastates three lives. Hester, Dimmesdale, and Chillingworth are all guilty of
succumbing to temptation, anger, and desire, causing all to fit the definition of a
sinner. Yet, Chillingworth s iniquities raise him up above Hester and Dimmesdale on
the level of diabolic acts.

Dimmesdale also may be accused of this crime, but likewise, he never outwardly
states that he was not the father of this child, he merely chooses to remain silent on
the matter.
While Chillingworth is guilty of breaking the eighth commandment, he also breaks
the fifth commandment You shall not kill (Gerber 24). It fact that Chillingworth did
not directly kill anyone in the novel. Nevertheless, a serious act of anger or hatred is
considered a sin under this commandment (Gerber 25). Chillingworth takes up
residence with the Reverend Dimmesdale to care for his sickly heart. However, he
uses this opportunity to punish the minister. Chillingworth becomes a chief actor in
the poor minister s interior world (Hawthorne 137). This gives him the ability to
make the minister suffer both mental and physical agony. Is the intention to punish
another in anger not an act of hatred? Is causing a man to suffer emotionally and
physically not a way of killing his spirit? Furthermore, is aggravating a man s illness
until it kills him not murder? Chillingworth is guilty of all these offences.
To be fair, Hester and Dimmesdale also commit another crime. Specifically, Hester
breaks the sixth commandment You shall not commit adultery (Gerber 25). Similarly,
Dimmesdale sins against the ninth commandment You shall not covet your
neighbour s wife (Gerber 27). Clearly, the star crossed lovers of this work are
Essay On The Importance Of Bilingualism
The Importance of Bilingualism The room smelled of old age and use. Comfy
chairs seated 47 individuals ranging from ages 15 to 60. The main organizer,
Brother Yuri, stood at the head of the oval shaped table. ВЁNow that I ve told you
what to expect, we need to discuss interpreters. Who here knows how to speak
Spanish? Questioned Brother Yuri at our weekly missionary meeting. 47 sets of
eyes stared blankly at him. No one raised their hand. Being able to speak spanish is
crucial for our trip. How are you guys going to communicate with the families?
How will you get the messages across if you cannot speak Spanish? He constantly
berated us to spend some time and try to learn Spanish. We were, after all going to
Mexico. But no one really understood how important it was to be able to speak
more than one language. Being able to speak Spanish was an imperative aspect of
our trip, as is being bilingual in America. The use of multiple languages should be
embraced and accepted in a culture rather than be driven into the ground and quelled.
In their essays on bilingualism in the United States, both Martin Espada and Richard
Rodrigues state their definitions of bilingualism. According to Martin Espada,
bilingualism is the idea that speaking another language encompases your culture,
traditions, and that it should be done freely and without reservations. However,
Richard Rodrigues stands firm in his belief, which happens to be different from

Development Of A Child And Adult
Teaching is necessary to educate children and adults in order to open a wider world
and understanding. However, everyone takes in educational concepts differently and
all adults and children have different speeds in which they develop. This concept
leads to a few proposed theories which were studied by Lev Vygotskyand Jean Piaget
in the early 20th century, possibly changing the way educators and psychologists
viewed the development of a child and adult although their work did not receive light
until recently. Between these educators, there are theories which are effective and
some that are not, arising many criticisms. Nevertheless, the changes made as a result
of these theories are studied through the scenario of Mr. Gino and Mrs. Van by...

Gino is a secondary teacher who recently had the chance to observe the learning
environment of Mrs. Vans primary school class. After these observations, he realised
the importance of some elements such as engaging the students in class. As shown
above and in Piaget s theory, although group work can be important, independent
learning must also be in place for children to learn. An example of this is assimilation,
where students gain new knowledge and experience from their past mistakes building
upon their preexistent schemas. As these schemas adapt to new knowledge over time,
they evolve and it is stored in their long term memory.
However, Vygotsky, on the other hand, mentioned that in order to educate someone
it must happen in small groups with one better performing student indicating the
importance of the Zone of Proximal Development (ZPD) (Vygotsky, 1978). The
ZDP is the difference between a child s actual development level and potential
development level, undertaken by a child performing tasks with assistance from a
more knowledgeable/capable peer or teacher (Duchesne McMaugh, 2016). This
notion is both effective on the social and cognitive development of a young child as
the theory of play is also interconnected, helping the child to develop. The ZPD is
very closely intertwined with the indication of scaffolding where teachers or others
provide support towards the learner in order to enable a task to be completed
successfully by adjusting to the
Review Of Woody Allen s Wild Strawberries
Introduction Ingmar Bergman has been openly described by Woody Allen as a
major influence in his craft of making films. Throughout the years of his career,
spanning over decades, Allen has been heavily drawn to Bergman s style as an art
form, enough to impact his own style of telling stories in the cinematic medium.
Bergman s strong method of telling a story was truly riveting and groundbreaking
in the entertainment industry, especially for the development of Swedish cinema.
As for American cinema, Allen has left a huge footprint on the industry as well,
and with Bergman as an open influence, Allen has gone to make many successful
films, impacting many audiences worldwide. Bergman s 1957 Film, Wild
Strawberries Bergman s film, Wild Strawberries, released in 1957, is truly one of
Bergman s most forgiving, riveting, raw, and yet, sensitive films telling the story of
a professor, bound to receive an honorary award at Lund, Sweden. The professor,
Isak Borg, is widowed and goes on a road trip to Lund with his brutally honest and
newly pregnant daughter in law, Marianne. Along the way, they stop to visit his
childhood summer home and that is when the gates of Borg s memory open.
Through his series of flashbacks, we see the bitter and the sweet parts of his past that
eventually led him to his current state, which is this feeling of cold and utter
insensitivity that truly has the rest of the characters feeling a little displeased.
According to Macnab (2009), Bergman

The Golden Glove Short Story
The Golden Glove
I thought that everything had been a dream until I heard it... Practice! It was an
extremely rainy day and the ground was like stepping into tiny lakes. I was caught
up in the moment when I remembered that you need a glove to play baseball. I
knew that rain could ruin your glove but I couldn t get the sight of a perfectly
stitched, woven, and laced glove being destroyed.
On the long drive to practice I watched as the enormous drops of rain were impeded
by the windshield and wiped away. My teammates were in the back of the car
cracking jokes and singing to whatever was on the radio. The drive went quick and
when we arrived my mom exclaimed, Have fun at practice!
Thanks! I muttered back.
While tying my cleats, I grabbed some ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I did not want my glove to get any more wet than it already was. I stuffed my glove
in my bag and couldn t get it off my mind the whole ride home.
When I got home my sister asked me, How was practice?
I replied, Wet! But fun. My glove is ruined.
She answered back, There s nothing that would have ruined it. We just need to hang
it up so it can air dry.
Okay, I replied.
She walked down the stairs and into the laundry room, myself just a couple steps
behind her. She walked into the laundry room and snatched my glove out of my
hands. As I watched her hang it she was quiet and then left the room and went back
upstairs.
I rearranged my baseball bag and left it outside in the garage. I came in the house a
couple of times to make sure that my glove was still in the laundry room. My
baseball glove was slowly changing colors back into a maroon. It dried for a couple
days and the time went by slower than a turtle trying to run a race.
When the glove was finally dry I oiled it and tightened up the laces. My baseball
glove ended up being okay. I was delighted when my glove still fit because I thought
that it would shrink. I am very protective over my glove and that is probably why I
still use it
A Brief Note On The Una Basin And Its Social Impacts
The sanitation program in the Una basin and its social impacts
BelГ©m is a major city in Brazil s northern region. Its metropolitan area has over
2,2 million habitants and it is situated on the estuary of two rivers from the
Amazon basin ( BelГ©m , n.d.). Its very humid climate and plain geography make
it prone to urban flooding and several sewerage and drainage issues in inhabited areas
called baixadas , or lowlands, which have been historically occupied by poorer
families (Pinheiro, Lima, SГЎ, Paracampo, 2007).
One of these lowlands, the Una basin, presented particularly severe problems of
flooding. In 1999, about 160,000 families lived in this area which corresponded to
60% of the municipality total area (Pinheiro et al, 2007).
In order to solve this major community s problem, the State of ParГЎ invested US$
169 million and the Inter American Development Bank invested US$ 143 million,
summing up for more than US$ 300 million in resources (DiГЎrio do ParГЎ, 2015).
The Inter American Development Bank (IDB) is an international financial institution
with headquarters in Washington and is the largest financial supporter for Latin
America and the Caribbean with priority areas in education, water and sanitation,
poverty reduction and climate change ( Inter American Development Bank , n.d.).
According to Tractebel Engineering (n.d.), one of the engineering firms involved in
the sanitation program, the civil works included the establishment and improvement

The Importance Of Artifice In Society
Although many people may like to think of America as a honest and moral nation, it
is no secret that artifice has cemented itself as an indispensable skill, exploited by
many to achieve their own ambitions. Artifice, characterized through the usage of
cunning devices or expedients to deceive others, is often utilized by politicians and
organizations to help push their own agendas. As illustrated by Chris Hedges in his
social commentary, Empire of Illusion, artifice has emerged to become so ubiquitous
and essential throughout American society, whether in business or the entertainment
industry. Essential, in the essence that without it, people in any industry are more
likely to be disadvantaged in achieving their personal goals. In today s modern
world, no area has seen more abuse of artifice than in the field of media and politics.
Its common knowledge that newspapers skew reports to their own biases and
politicians often tell half truths to cover up ulterior motives. Unfortunately, these
politicians and media giants hold extremely influential positions in society, and their
usage of artifice is extremely damaging to the integrity and accountability within the
United States. As a result, the press as well as the general populace must utilize free
speech to expose this behavior. Despite the complete immorality of the usage of
artifice, such chicanery remains essential for success in media and politics. Artifice
generated through the media plays a pivotal role in the spread
The Plane Crash
When Chuck is abroad the plane it starts to go down. The plane crash is a little too
dramatic it goes on for to long. Finally he gets his raft unstuck. As he floats down
the water the waves are a little too strong, and the water rushing over the raft is too
loud. Once again it last too long. We see to much water, and splashing; there needs
to be more interaction. When he gets to the island and he is lying there he takes to
long to grab his raft. The raft should have floated a way when the tide can in. He
also gets hurt a lot through out the movie. He cuts his hand with wood, and steps his
leg when he is in the water. His wound should have became infected; even though he
was using salt water there is know way he could have kept it that clean.
Lava River Research Paper
Duty owed: While rafting down the Chilko River, Ron Thompson, a seasoned river
guide with thirteen years of experience, had his raft high side on a rock. When the
raft high sided and all but one of his guests fell out into the river. Due to the strong
rapids five of the guests died. This is a tragedy that should not have happened on the
riverconsidering it is not nearly close enough to being one of the major rivers in
Canada. The problem of where this happened on the river, Lava Canyon, is about
how long the rapids run. The water level was approximately 2 feet lower than it
typically ran. With water levels changing, rapids adjust throughout the river. When
the raft hit a wake it turned on its side and hit the rock that forced people out of the
raft. Some of the people were able to swim for safety, including Thompson, but sadly
five drowned.
Duty breached: ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The way that the raft hit the rock forced people on the high side of the raft to fly
out. The people who were on the bottom side of the raft were washed out by the
strong current of the river. Because of Thompson being in the middle controlling the
oars he was one of the first people to fly out of the raft. Since he was thrown out of
the raft, Thompson was unable to help with the situation at hand.
Injury caused by a substandard act: When the guests hit the water some were lucky
enough to hit a part of the river where they could swim to safety. Thompson was
lucky enough to find an eddy in the water, a place in the water that holds you into a
spot because of a rock blocking the current. Unfortunately, due to the length of the
river, when the raft hit the rock and all of the guests went flying out, five were
unable to swim to safety and while rolling down the river, they drowned due to the
water constantly splashing in their face and from being pulled into the water.

The Oliver Versus Brock Case
A civil suit is commonly derived from a private party or individual, who alleges
damages from duty of care. Once a civil case begins, it is the duty of the plaintiff to
prove, with evidence, duty of care, breach of duty, causation, and damages.
Conversely, the defendant must prove their affirmative defense against documented
allegations. The Oliver versus Brock case proves the importance of supporting
evidenceas opposed to hearsay statements, to prove the truth of the matter. In the
Oliver versus Brock case, Cathy (Plaintiff) filed a lawsuitagainst Bryan Whitfield
Memorial Hospital of Demopolis and the treating physicians Dr. F.S. Whitfield, Dr.
Paul Ketcham and Dr. E.C. Brock (Defendant) for negligence of care. Analyzing the
facts in... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Based on the information provided, Oliver s allegations were not supported with
documentation, but merely opinion and hearsay. In Oliver s affidavit, she stated that
she read in the discharge summary that Dr. Brock was consulted and assisted with
treatment. Although the supporting documentation of the previous statement is
important, the more pressing issue becomes whether a doctor patient relationship was
formed in order to support the allegations.
Contrary to the alleged, Dr. Brock refuted the claim, defending that he never
established a doctor patient relationship with Anita, which relieves him of liability.
In order to validate his refute, Dr. Brock provided four factual elements that were
supported by his counterparts; Dr. Whitfield and Dr. Ketcham. The four elements
that were presented in the affidavit included: (1) That there has never been a doctor
patient relationship between Dr. Brock and Anita Oliver, (2) Dr. Brock has never
seen or talked to Anita or Cathy Oliver, (3) Dr. Brock was not employed, engaged
or requested to serve as a consultant to treat Anita, (4) and Dr. Brock was not
employed or engaged to consult with doctors treating Anita, concerning complaints
or medical problems. In order to support Dr. Brock s refute, Dr. Whitfield and Dr.
Ketcham provided affidavit s as
Surface Modification For Rapid Endothelialization Of Pcl...
Abstract
Surface modification for rapid endothelialization of vascular biomaterials is known as
an important way to prevent thrombosis and intimal hyperplasia. Moreover,
therapeutical manipulation of microRNAs (miRNAs) expression via local delivery
of miRNA mimics or inhibitors by electrospun ultrafine fibers has demonstrated the
promise in tissue regeneration. In this work, a dual functional electrospun membrane
was developed by combining Arg Glu Asp Val (REDV) peptide modification of the
fiber surface to enhance vascular endothelial cell (VEC) adhesion and encapsulation
of miRNA 126 (miR 126) complexes in the electrospun fibers to accelerate VEC
proliferation. The electrospun membranes were specially prepared by emulsion

Recently, RNA interference based on microRNAs (miRNAs) has drawn much
attention in regenerative medicine for dealing with bone, cardiovascular and
neuronal diseases, or against cancers that are related to aberrant gene expressions [6
11]. As post transcriptional gene regulators, small and noncoding miRNAs have
been demonstrated systematically in vitro and in vivo as therapeutic potentials to
stimulate tissue regeneration [6 11]. In the field of vascular biology, miRNA 126
(miR 126) is considered as a master regulator of physiological angiogenesis that
manipulates vascular integrity and angiogenesis via regulation of the signals of
angiogenic growth factors, such as vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and
fibroblast growth factor (FGF) [12 14]. According to the references, miR 126 targets
sprouty related protein (SPRED 1) and phosphoinositol 3 kinase regulatory subunit 2
(PIK3R2), both of them are VEGF and FGF signaling suppressors [14,15]. During
vascular injury curing, miR 126 plays a key role in tissue repair by inducing
angiogenesis, activation of re endothelialization [12]. In our previous studies, it was
found that miR 126 could be target delivered to vascular endothelial cell (VECs) via

Friend Speech For Friend
Friend speech (sukhwinder)
Hi everyone and welcome! I am honoured to be giving this birthday toast to my
closest friend Gurmeet! I am so grateful to have such a great friend in my life! We
met in School, one of the toughest years for any adolescent. Ina time where stress
is high we bonded and became lifelong friends. We shared all our stress and work
and learned to beat it up together. When I got any issues in my studies he was
always there to help me out. Further we joined the same University and we decided
to work together in every field of work. When I go back to those memories I have a
smile on my face and remind sweet moments that we spent together I felt so proud of
my friend when he passed the University with a good score grades. Throughout the
past 50 years I have seen him grow into a successful, unique, responsible person that
he has become. When thinking about giving this speech tonight I decided to focus on
one quality that truly shines in him. That quality is his dedication towards work! Any
goal that Gurmeet sets in his mind to him does with passion and dedication! This
passion hassled him to changing the lives of many students, friends and family. He
also has a enthusiasm for his family. He just like as my brother from another
mother rather than a friend but indeed keeping a professional attitude at work. He
has many roles to play and one of them is that he is always ready to help the needy
people once time i remind that one person met with accident and
The Moral Of Cinderella
Fairy tales are stories that contain fictional characters like fairies, goblins, talking
animals, unicorns and many other figments of imagination. Fairy tales are usually
supposed to depict some magical land filled with unimaginative wonders but, in
the case of the short story titled Cinderella by Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm, there is
a darker tale that is told. The worst part of it all is that these vile stories are read to
little children who take great joy in such stories. Furthermore, kids could
potentially recreate a negative reality of the way they view life and not realize the
moral that is being taught in the story. Fairy tales are not always rainbows and
green pastures as seen in the short story of Cinderella. The story tells the tale of a
misfortunate daughter who is neglected by her evil stepmother, stepsisters, and
father. Before the mistreatment Cinderella s mother passes away and is left to
live with her father. Cinderella mourned her mother s death all winter long and
when the spring arrived her father soon found another wife. This new wife did not
come alone as she was accompanied by two daughters. The daughters were
described as beautiful women with wicked hearts. At the time of their arrival
things went downhill for Cinderella, the stepsisters labeled her as a kitchen maid
and replaced her elegant garments with peasantry clothing. The stepsisters treated
Cinderella very poorly and she faced constant torment from them. To demonstrate
the cruel treatment the stepsisters decide to scatter peas and lentils into the ashes
for her, in result she had to separate the vegetables from the ashes. That was not the
only unfair act committed against Cinderella by her evil stepsisters. When the day
was over and exhausted Cinderella went to rest her head she unwillingly slept on
floor of the fireplace in the ashes. She was stripped of her basic necessities such as a
bed and some decent clothes to wear. Cinderella is forced into doing labor around
the house and is never able to take part in any of the familyoutings. When her father
declares that there will be a festival she attends despite her family saying no. She is
aided by two singing birds that assist her with getting proper attire for the

Like Darwin s theory of survival of the fittest, work is changing with social needs
(Mayr, 1994). Many positions and occupations will gradually disappear. For
example, craftsmen in the traditional manufacturing industry were replaced by line
workers, or computer literate personal assistants replaced secretaries who only
used paper and typewriters. According to the research data: since World War II,
after Industrial Development, the rate of labor participation has been declining in
the United States and other industrialized countries (Hughes, 2014). Snyder (2013)
reckons that in the next 20 years, half of the work will now be replaced by robots.
In the near future, artificial intelligence technology will learn to control such as
unmanned vehicles and robots of this kind of semi independent and independent
hardware facilities, gradually replace the factory workers, construction workers,
drivers, express and many other occupations. However, at the same time, education,
health care, tourism and other services will generate huge demand for services.
Those positions can absorb the labor force replaced by AI (Levy Murnane, 2012). In
other words, the wider use of AI will stimulate the development of new careers.
Artificial intelligence will bring a massive change in the type and proportion of
existing jobs and employment. Work related to innovation will still be done primarily
by humans. On the one hand, making computers to
Inflation Essay
Global economy has been changing significantly in past several decades which has
been affected by the goods and services in the national borders leading to the
movement of the country up and down in the international system economically. The
economy of the country is strictly hit by two important factors that are: deflation and
inflation. Deflation can be defined as the decrease in the price of the goods or
services provided. In the other hand, inflation can be defined as the increase in the
price of the goods and services. It is observed that the deflation increases the power of
purchasing and increase the value for the money whereas the inflation cause the
decrease in the economic power. Inflation plays the vital role for the fluctuation of the
economy in the country that directly affects the economy of the world. It actually
affects the various macroeconomics and microeconomics factor of the economy
leading to various consequences. The most important consequences is unemployment.
The phenomenon of inflation has been described in three different views: a)
general view, b) Keynesian view and c) modern view. According to the general
view it has been described as the increase in the price of goods and services but
decrease in the value of the money. According to Keynes, it is the states when there
is increase in the goods and prices as well as increase in the employment. The
inflation is caused due to the increase in the expenditure that causing the shortage of
the goods and
Pursuit Of Power Decay
The idea that the pursuit of power leads to moral decay is the link I have chosen to
analyse across my four texts. These four texts are Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of
the Sith directed by George Lucas, The Fellowship of the Ring written by J.R.R.
Tolkien, Animal Farm written by George Orwell and Harry Potterand the Deathly
Hallows written by J.K. Rowling. These four texts all explore this idea in different
ways, but they all end up coming to the same conclusion; that is that the pursuit of
power leads to the decay of one s morality.

Rowling. It looks into this idea by delving into how pursuing power out of
grandiose ambition can lead us to neglect that which seems small and adopt an
intolerant ideology. In the book a teenage Dumbledore and his friend Grindelwald
set out on a quest for The Deathly Hallows , three legendary magical artifacts that
give the bearer the power over life and death. He plans to use this power to create a
world where wizards reign supreme, and non wizards are marginalised for the
greater good of all, creating a whole system of thought around these ideas. This
character seems to be a far cry from the kind hearted Dumbledore of previous books,
who stood up for the rights of non wizards, and perhaps this above all other examples
shows how much capacity the pursuit of power has to ruin our morality. Additionally
his obsession with this quest causes him to neglect his duty of care to his mentally
unsound sister Ariana, who desperately needs support. When he is eventually
confronted by his brother Aberforth about this neglect, a fight erupts and in the
confusion Ariana is killed. Aberforth
LTAD in Hockey
Hockey encompasses what it means to be Canadian, from the professional stage of
the NHL to your first minor hockey week we have connected the sport with such
fond memories. No matter what the sport may be most Canadians promote physical
activity where it be hockey, football, soccer, rugby or any other type of activity that
celebrates living a healthy lifestyle. Even though organized hockeyhas been around
since the early twentieth century there has been much investigation into athletic
development in connection with the sport. Not until recently has the investigation
behind combining a proper fundamental framework for optimum sport development
be utilized. We now know this model to be the Long TermAthlete Development
mode, or the LTAD. This model in it consists of seven unique stages that ensure not
only educated athletes but coaches as well to identify and prepare accordingly for
each corresponding stage. The LTAD is broken down into these steps Active Star,
FUNdamentals, Learn to Train, Train to Train, Train to Compete, Train to Win and
Active for Life. In the following investigation I plan to share my own knowledge
from my own experiences playing over twenty years of hockey from recreational
community to more of an elite level. I ve also volunteered some of my own time to
coach and train athletes in hockey, I have used and been taught the LTAD model
numerous times throughout my involvement with hockey. Hopefully using some
credible resources while combining my own

Silver Chromate Lab Report
This experiment was performed to observe the formation of silver chromate from a
reaction between silver nitrate and potassium chromate. In this double displacement
reaction, the cations and anions of the two reactants swapped and produced silver
chromate and potassium chromate. An indication of a reaction occurring between the
silver nitrate and potassium chromate was the production of a red solid from the
yellow potassium chromate and the clear silver nitrate. Potassium nitrate has its uses
in applications such as fertilizers and food preservation while the other product of this
reaction, silver chromate, has little application in the real world. Introduction: The

My Family Essay. Descriptive essay: Write essay on my family

  • 1. My Family Essay Crafting an essay on the topic of "My Family" may seem deceptively simple at first glance, as one might assume that discussing something as personal as family would be an effortless task. However, delving into the intricacies of familial relationships and attempting to encapsulate the essence of one's family in a coherent and engaging essay can prove to be a challenging endeavor. The challenge lies not only in presenting the mundane details about family members but also in capturing the intangible aspects that define the unique dynamics within a family. It requires navigating the fine line between sentimentality and objectivity, avoiding clichГ©s while still expressing genuine emotions. Balancing the portrayal of each family member, their roles, and the collective experiences shared can be a delicate task, as one tries to encapsulate a diverse range of personalities, histories, and memories within the constraints of a written composition. Moreover, the difficulty intensifies when one considers the need to infuse the essay with a narrative arc or a thematic focus that ties together the various elements of the family story. It demands the writer to reflect on the significance of their family in shaping their identity and growth, weaving a cohesive narrative that resonates with the reader on a deeper level. Additionally, the challenge extends to maintaining a balance between introspection and outward observation. While the essay should offer personal insights and reflections, it must also avoid becoming too self-indulgent or excessively detailed, ensuring that the narrative remains accessible and relatable to a broader audience. In essence, the difficulty in writing a compelling "My Family" essay lies in the nuanced art of storytelling, introspection, and the ability to distill the essence of a complex and multifaceted topic into a coherent and engaging narrative. It requires the writer to navigate through layers of personal experiences, emotions, and memories while maintaining a level of objectivity that allows the reader to connect with the universal themes embedded in the family tale. And, if the task seems daunting, remember that assistance is readily available. Similar essays, tailored to individual needs, and much more can be ordered on HelpWriting.net, offering a helping hand for those seeking to navigate the challenges of essay writing. • 2. Essay On African American Spirituals African slaves in the United States created Christian songs called spirituals; the songs emphasized the hardships of slavery. Today, they are referred to as Negro spirituals, Black spirituals, African American spirituals, church songs, jubilees, holy roller songs, and African American folk songs. The African American spirituals originated from western and central African countries. The use of spirituals began in the 1500s, when Africans were taken from their homelands and traditions to work as slaves in the New World. While in captive, slaves used their spirituals to pass times while working, communicate without outsiders knowing, and most importantly to keep connected with their religious beliefs. Before 1865 spirituals were known as shouts . Hand clapping, foot tapping, and deep humming were usually involved in the shouts and the tunes were closely related to those of hymns from the bible. African American spirituals sent messages of how to live by God. The lyrics of the spirituals were most ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... During the 1960s Civil Rights Movement for African Americans many spirituals like We shall overcome , Oh Freedom , and This Little Light Of Mine were sung to boost moral and keep faith among the people. Other social issues that inspired new spirituals include lack of love, drugs, and war. For special events words of traditional spirituals would be changed to coordinate, for example the words of Joshua Fought the Battle of Jericho were changed to Marching round Selma . Also during this time, pop gospel was created. They very popular within local communities within the southern United States. Edwin Hawkins mainly made this genre with songs like Oh Happy Day . These types of spirituals usually resulted in the signers gathering in a choir and multiple instruments were required to created the soul or hard beat of the

ASDA Security Essay The other option of payment that ASDA has was customer can choose to use self scan checkouts machine, which is customer require to scan the barcode themselves, input the types of items, weight them and place all scanned items into a bagging area . The weight observed in the bagging area is verified against previous stored information to ensure that customer put the correct item in bag, and allowing customer to proceed only if the observed and expected weights match. There were no security staffs that checked any suspected customers who try to steal any item inside the bag. Secondly, what has been noticed in the ASDA is they used high stacked shelves to put the groceries item. This means, their customers able sneak any items without being seen by staff. It is because robbers often have a loitering period before they strike when they are getting comfortable inside the store. Since the stacked shelves in ASDA are high, the robbers feel invisible to employees. Thus, ASDA should use lower shelves that can reduce incidences of shoplifting. Thirdly, it has been noticed that there were advertisement posted on window. it is important to remain visible from in and out of store. Therefore when there are intruders inside intended to harm anyone in the store, they can be clearly seen by people from outside the store. That is the reason why ASDA payment section is placed at the very front of the
  • 4. Materialism In Henry David Thoreau I, Henry David Thoreau, have found myself aggrieved upon your article, Pond Scum, that questions my beliefs of nature and my way of life. You have proclaimed statements that do not fit me so, such as being sanctimonious, hypocritical, and misanthropic; for those reasons, you think I should not be as admired as I am today. However, I refuse to subject to those claims because my teachings and beliefs are all in the name of the divinity of nature. There is much more to this world than our materialistic values and complex lifestyle, and if we were just able to open our eyes and look deep within, then you as well shall be able to understand my teachings. You first accuse me of being sanctimonious, that I am superior and holier than everyone else in this world. Before criticizing my political philosophies, you include my quote about the prophet, It seems as if I were more favored by the gods ...in possession of revealed truth and entitled to enlighten others. Thoreau, comfortable with that posture, sneered at those who were not (7). It is true that I see myself peculiar from everyone else, but I am not as egotistical as you may think. Claiming existence in the universe is not disgraceful, it should be valued. Every person should be allowed to think for themselves, to follow their intuition, and seek what they think is right without the insight from others. We should be allowed to trust our gut because the head is easily fooled than the heart. Therefore, I refute your
  • 5. Definitions Of The Data Warehouse 1Defining the Data Warehouse The definition of a data warehouse can be found in many textbooks, articles, and on line information sources. In general, the definitions describe a database with the following attributes: A data warehouse typically holds very large volumes of data. The data for the data warehouse is collected regularly from multiple information systems within the business. The data warehouse is a comprehensive source of data generated by the business, covering long periods of time. The data must be extracted, transformed and loaded (the ETL process) from the original sources into the data warehouse. The data sources generally do not all have the same format or structure, hence the need to transform the data so that it matches the configuration of the data warehouse. Other technology is needed to access and use the data in the data warehouse; these are applications for data mining, business intelligence, dashboards, etc. Data warehouses are being used by all types of businesses, including profit and not for profit organizations. Their use also spans many industries, including governments. The collecting and storing of large volumes of data from all information systems within an organization provides a single source of information for management decision making. The data warehouse does not directly provide the information needed to the user; analytics must be obtained using other technology. This can take the form of business
  • 6. Essay Quantitave Plating BioSci 101 Lab Section 810 QUANTITATIVE PLATING PURPOSE The purpose of this lab is to see the effects of pasteurization while emphasizing the process for serial dilutions. PROCEDURE See references (1) RESULTS As the dilution factor increased for both the raw milk (unpasteurized) and pasteurized milk samples, the number of colonies decreased. The number of cells/mL in the pasteurized milk sample is considerably less than the number of cells/mL in the raw milk sample. RAW (UNPASTEURIZED) SAMPLE Dilution Factor| Number of Colonies| Number of cells/mL| 10 3| TMTC| TMTC| 10 4| TMTC| TMTC| 10 5| TMTC| TMTC| 10 6| 284| 284,000,000 cells/mL| 10 7| 44| 440,000,000 cells/mL| | AVERAGE|... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This demonstrates that raw milk contains a lot of bacteria even after multiple serial dilutions. In the 10 3 pasteurized sample, the plate exhibited 71,000 cells/mL. The results of the additional dilution samples contained too few colony forming units to count. However, in the 10 7 dilution, although the plate demonstrated 12 colonies, there should have been no colony forming units on this plate. The reasons for this could have been that this sample was contaminated from double dipping the sample before dispensing it onto the plate or when using the pipette, it mistakenly was inserted in a higher concentration sample and then immediately to a lower concentration sample before it was dispensed onto the plate. The results suggest that pasteurization kills most pathogens in milk by brief exposure to relatively high temperature. This was demonstrated most beneficially with the 10 6 and 10 7 dilutions wherein the raw milk exhibited 284,000,000 cells/mL and 440,000,000 cells/mL respectively and the pasteurized milk had too few cell colony forming units to even count. Unpasteurized milk is not healthy for people to drink. For example, in a study performed in December of 2001, the bacteria Campylobacter jejuni, a microaerophilic bacteria commonly found in animal feces, was found in unpasteurized milk at an organic dairy farm in Wisconsin and caused 75 people, ages 2 to 63, to become ill.
  • 7. Family Car Research Paper I used my family car Saturn Vue 2008 for this project. In the first part, I learned different parts of the car and how to use them. The car has automatic transmission. Its gears are located on the center console between two front seats. You can identify them by a position of the stick and by letters on it, that show types of gears. When you start the vehicle you can use parking or neutral gears. You should enter the key into ignition with wide side up. My key was metal with plastic holder. The key could be different: shorter or longer. There is also parking brake, which located to the right of the driver s seat. With the rise of capitalism and the spread of money into rural areas, vassals began to commodity their labor, and lords began to commodity their land. Commodifying land and labor allowed lords and vassals to receive more cash on a regular basis, yet the payments they received were still not steady and constant. As more vassals and lords commodified land and labor, land and labor soon became regarded as commodities. In feudalism, labor was seen as a relationship between the laborer and the lord, or the person receiving the labor. With the spread of monetization, however, the concept of abstract labor was introduced: a laborer could now sell his capacity/power and ability to do labor and the purchaser would be the owner of anything that the laborer produced (i.e. if someone buys someone s capacity to cook a meal, the meal that the laborer produces with the boot capacity belongs to the buyer). This new way of understanding labor soon became widespread and labor feudal perceptions of labor were abandoned; labor had become a commodity, part of a capitalist economy. Perceptions of property also changed; property, or the amount of tangible goods someone had in their possession,

The British engraver, Samuel Cousins (1801 1887), created the print in November 1857, using a mixed method engraving process with mezzotint, on chine coolГ©. Upon viewing the print, it is engaging as the characters are expressive and detailed despite the absence of bright colors. The reproduction represents Bottom, the weaver with a head of an ass being favored by the fairy queen Titania. They are surrounded by fairies, and enchanted animals while the sprite, Puck watches from behind. The technique of mezzotint originated in the seventeenth century by a German inventor, Ludwig von Siegen. Mezzotint was a laborious method which used an engraved metal plate. After the invention of photography in the nineteenth century, the use of mezzotint was rare. After the social gathering, men with their families, the wealthy and the poverty stricken, embarked on the First Crusade. In the name of their God, they fought against the Muslims and murdered Jews whose views opposed their own faith. This hatred towards religious infidels and the Jewish people would come into play in later Crusades, as well as throughout the world s history. Accounts of the First Crusade, one detailed

Chillingworth is the Greatest Sinner in The Scarlet Letter The world of Puritan New England, like the world of today, was filled with many evil influences. Many people were able to withstand temptation, but some fell victim to the dark side. Such offences against God, in thought, word, deed, desire or neglect, are what we define as sin (Gerber 14). In Nathaniel Hawthorne s The Scarlet Letter, the reader is able to observe how one sin devastates three lives. Hester, Dimmesdale, and Chillingworth are all guilty of succumbing to temptation, anger, and desire, causing all to fit the definition of a sinner. Chillingworth takes up residence with the Reverend Dimmesdale to care for his sickly heart. However, he uses this opportunity to punish the minister. Chillingworth becomes a chief actor in the poor minister s interior world (Hawthorne 137). This gives him the ability to make the minister suffer both mental and physical agony. Is the intention to punish another in anger not an act of hatred? Is causing a man to suffer emotionally and physically not a way of killing his spirit? Furthermore, is aggravating a man s illness until it kills him not murder? Chillingworth is guilty of all these offences. To be fair, Hester and Dimmesdale also commit another crime. Gino is a secondary teacher who recently had the chance to observe the learning environment of Mrs. Vans primary school class. After these observations, he realised the importance of some elements such as engaging the students in class. As shown above and in Piaget s theory, although group work can be important, independent learning must also be in place for children to learn. An example of this is assimilation, where students gain new knowledge and experience from their past mistakes building upon their preexistent schemas. As these schemas adapt to new knowledge over time, they evolve and it is stored in their long term memory. However, Vygotsky, on the other hand, mentioned that in order to educate someone it must happen in small groups with one better performing student indicating the importance of the Zone of Proximal Development (ZPD) (Vygotsky, 1978). The ZDP is the difference between a child s actual development level and potential development level, undertaken by a child performing tasks with assistance from a more knowledgeable/capable peer or teacher (Duchesne McMaugh, 2016). This notion is both effective on the social and cognitive development of a young child as the theory of play is also interconnected, helping the child to develop. The ZPD is very closely intertwined with the indication of scaffolding where teachers or others provide support towards the learner in order to enable a task to be completed successfully by adjusting to the

Throughout the years of his career, spanning over decades, Allen has been heavily drawn to Bergman s style as an art form, enough to impact his own style of telling stories in the cinematic medium. Bergman s strong method of telling a story was truly riveting and groundbreaking in the entertainment industry, especially for the development of Swedish cinema. In the field of vascular biology, miRNA 126 (miR 126) is considered as a master regulator of physiological angiogenesis that manipulates vascular integrity and angiogenesis via regulation of the signals of angiogenic growth factors, such as vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and fibroblast growth factor (FGF) [12 14]. Fairy tales are usually supposed to depict some magical land filled with unimaginative wonders but, in the case of the short story titled Cinderella by Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm, there is a darker tale that is told. The worst part of it all is that these vile stories are read to little children who take great joy in such stories. Furthermore, kids could potentially recreate a negative reality of the way they view life and not realize the moral that is being taught in the story. Like Darwin s theory of survival of the fittest, work is changing with social needs (Mayr, 1994). Many positions and occupations will gradually disappear. For example, craftsmen in the traditional manufacturing industry were replaced by line workers, or computer literate personal assistants replaced secretaries who only used paper and typewriters. According to the research data: since World War II, after Industrial Development, the rate of labor participation has been declining in the United States and other industrialized countries (Hughes, 2014). Snyder (2013) reckons that in the next 20 years, half of the work will now be replaced by robots. In the near future, artificial intelligence technology will learn to control such as unmanned vehicles and robots of this kind of semi independent and independent hardware facilities, gradually replace the factory workers, construction workers, drivers, express and many other occupations. However, at the same time, education, health care, tourism and other services will generate huge demand for services. Those positions can absorb the labor force replaced by AI (Levy Murnane, 2012). In other words, the wider use of AI will stimulate the development of new careers. Artificial intelligence will bring a massive change in the type and proportion of existing jobs and employment. Work related to innovation will still be done primarily by humans. On the one hand, making computers to

These four texts are Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith directed by George Lucas, The Fellowship of the Ring written by J.R.R. Tolkien, Animal Farm written by George Orwell and Harry Potterand the Deathly Hallows written by J.K. Rowling. These four texts all explore this idea in different ways, but they all end up coming to the same conclusion; that is that the pursuit of power leads to the decay of one s morality. The film Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith directed by George Lucas develops the theme that the pursuit of power leads to moral decay by exploring how pursuing power out of desperation can ... It looks into this idea by delving into how pursuing power out of grandiose ambition can lead us to neglect that which seems small and adopt an intolerant ideology. In the book a teenage Dumbledore and his friend Grindelwald set out on a quest for The Deathly Hallows , three legendary magical artifacts that give the bearer the power over life and death. He plans to use this power to create a world where wizards reign supreme, and non wizards are marginalised for the greater good of all, creating a whole system of thought around these ideas. This character seems to be a far cry from the kind hearted Dumbledore of previous books, who stood up for the rights of non wizards, and perhaps this above all other examples shows how much capacity the pursuit of power has to ruin our morality. Additionally his obsession with this quest causes him to neglect his duty of care to his mentally unsound sister Ariana, who desperately needs support. When he is eventually confronted by his brother Aberforth about this neglect, a fight erupts and in the confusion Ariana is killed. Aberforth
  • 50. LTAD in Hockey Hockey encompasses what it means to be Canadian, from the professional stage of the NHL to your first minor hockey week we have connected the sport with such fond memories. No matter what the sport may be most Canadians promote physical activity where it be hockey, football, soccer, rugby or any other type of activity that celebrates living a healthy lifestyle. Even though organized hockeyhas been around since the early twentieth century there has been much investigation into athletic development in connection with the sport. Not until recently has the investigation behind combining a proper fundamental framework for optimum sport development be utilized. We now know this model to be the Long TermAthlete Development mode, or the LTAD. This model in it consists of seven unique stages that ensure not only educated athletes but coaches as well to identify and prepare accordingly for each corresponding stage. The LTAD is broken down into these steps Active Star, FUNdamentals, Learn to Train, Train to Train, Train to Compete, Train to Win and Active for Life. In the following investigation I plan to share my own knowledge from my own experiences playing over twenty years of hockey from recreational community to more of an elite level. I ve also volunteered some of my own time to coach and train athletes in hockey, I have used and been taught the LTAD model numerous times throughout my involvement with hockey. Hopefully using some credible resources while combining my own

In this double displacement reaction, the cations and anions of the two reactants swapped and produced silver chromate and potassium chromate. An indication of a reaction occurring between the silver nitrate and potassium chromate was the production of a red solid from the yellow potassium chromate and the clear silver nitrate. Potassium nitrate has its uses in applications such as fertilizers and food preservation while the other product of this reaction, silver chromate, has little application in the real world.
