Economy Of Pakistan Essay
Crafting an essay on the economy of Pakistan can be a challenging yet rewarding task. The
intricacies of economic systems, coupled with the dynamic nature of global markets, make it
necessary to delve deep into a plethora of data, statistics, and historical trends. Understanding
the multifaceted factors that contribute to Pakistan's economic landscape requires extensive
research, critical analysis, and a nuanced perspective.
One of the primary challenges lies in comprehending the historical context and evolution of
Pakistan's economy. This involves exploring the impact of various policies, geopolitical
influences, and internal dynamics on economic growth and development. Additionally,
addressing the diverse sectors of the economy, such as agriculture, industry, and services,
requires a comprehensive understanding of each sector's contributions, challenges, and potential
avenues for improvement.
Analyzing economic indicators, fiscal policies, and monetary measures becomes another layer of
complexity. Interpreting the significance of GDP growth rates, inflation rates, and trade balances
demands a keen eye for detail and the ability to connect the dots between macroeconomic
variables. Furthermore, discussing the socio-economic implications of economic policies adds
depth to the essay, requiring an examination of issues like poverty, inequality, and unemployment.
The essay should also consider the role of international factors in shaping Pakistan's economic
trajectory. Global trade dynamics, foreign aid, and diplomatic relations all play crucial roles that
need to be carefully examined. This requires a global perspective and an understanding of how
Pakistan fits into the larger framework of the international economic system.
In conclusion, writing an essay on the economy of Pakistan is no small feat. It demands a
synthesis of historical knowledge, economic theory, and a critical analysis of contemporary data.
The ability to present a coherent narrative that weaves together various elements while
maintaining clarity and conciseness is essential. Despite its challenges, successfully navigating
through this intricate terrain can offer valuable insights into the complexities of economic
development in a rapidly changing world.

There is another major reason may explain why events have become an
increasingly important of inner urban competition attract by event attendee and
visitors in the last few years is the cost of building a city landmark (Paddison,

encouraged to visit the same place more than one time by hosting different events at
the landmark area for visitors interests of exploring the new culture. They usually
represent a less costly to distinguish places and normally generates a significant
media interests (Paddison, 1993). The consequence is the cities are competing with
each other for the honour of hosing large events to promote themselves to a greater
market (Hall, 1992).
Since tourism is one of the largest multination economy activities (Friedman, 1994).
To compete in a globe marketplace require hosts abilities of good responds to a

Super Bowl Stereotypes
One of the reasons I connect to the Super Bowl is that I approach my shows like an
athlete (BeyoncГ©, 2016). On Sunday, February 7th, 2016 the NFL Super Bowl
50 was hosted where the Panthers played against the Broncos. The halftime show
was headlined by Coldplay, with special guest performers Beyonce and Bruno
Mars. Beyonce took over the stage and with her performance the female singer was
trying to make a serious political statement. At the halftime show, BeyoncГ© sang
her most recent song called Formation , and it captured everyone s attention with
her performance and was called out racist. Also the music video made a political
issue that is now being charged. BeyoncГ© is being criticized for her Super Bowl

Chinese Kinship Systems Essay
Chinese Kinship Systems
Works Cited Missing
It would be impossible to disagree with the statement that Chinese kinship is based
on male predominance . In fact this statement may even be under emphasizing the
control and absolute power that males wield across all levels of Chinese society. Of
course, where their power initially comes from though, is through the family or
termed differently the jia . It is this extended or ideal family that cultivates the
consistent patrilineal form of control/descent and dictates that residence in said jia is
primarily patrilocal. That being said, what I hope to be able to create over the
following pages is a clearer understanding of the ideal (Chinese) system of control.
This ideal system, based on ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I will return to this point later, but before going anywhere further it is best to ask
why a son was so important in the first place? There is, of course, a myriad of strong
reasons, one reason being that surnames were passed down through the male line.
This process meant that a male child was needed to take the surname of their father
not their mother. Meaning that surname in China was integral to creating a kinship
system, which placed heavy emphasis on male superiority. It was through this handed
down surname, that the massive kinship systems such as a lineage or a clan could be
generated and held together over generations and generations. Hereditary surnames
were also the primary form of hierarchical family organization, and were inherently
needed to practice ancestor worship. This type of worship, through a patrilineal
method, was exercised even after kinship members had long since been deceased. The
handing of the surname to a father s son (s), then meant that he now existed to
continue not only his present family but the extended family that came before him,
and the jia that would surface in the future. Baker s use of a rope metaphor works well
here, depicting a rope (standing for male heirs and descendents) which stretches
back into the past and forward into the future. The rope at any one time may be
thicker or thinner according to the number of strands (jia) or fibers (male
individuals) which exist, but so long as one fiber remains the rope is there....That is
Medical Billers And Coders Essay
Medical billers and coders must pay attention to detail. Medical billers and coders
should have an understanding of anatomy and physiology in order to interpret
medical reports written by healthcare providers. Having knowledge of how the body
s systems work and the principles of physiology will aid medical billers and coders to
correctly codeprovider services and it will also enable them effectively
communicate with the provider in obtaining additional medical documentation
when needed. (Holley, 2012, p. 1). The understanding of anatomy and physiology
also gives medical billers and coders the ability to properly identify and provide a
more accurate diagnosis code for the procedures and services specifically used to
treat certain parts of the body. The understanding of medical reports will impact
medical billers and coders ability to code accurate and timely claims for

One example is recognizing conditions that may affect a certain region of the body,
such as a patient being diagnosed with rhinosinusitis and was prescribed a two

to apply proficient knowledge of medical terminology. The coder should be able to
break down the medical term rhino sinus itis. The anatomy for rhino is nose, the
physiology of the nose is the lined membranes which is sinus and the condition is (
itis, the inflammation of). Understanding the basic body function enables the biller
/coder to translate the provider s medical documentation for correctly coding and
billing. The diagnosis code was always the same for each billing would be for the

Zombie Argument

Essay topic three
The important problems of the mind module are: how do we understand the nature of
mental events, their relation to the physical world and physical events and
fundamentally the problems with other minds. This essay essentially serves to
evaluate whether the Zombie argument against Cartesian Dualism is sound by:
criticising the Zombie argument through analysing the validity of each premise of the
Zombie argument, defending the Zombie argument against one of its objections and
responses from the Cartesian Argument by analogy. This essay will offer reasons to
believe the Zombie argument by contrasting it with the strengths and weaknesses of

Therefore one can trust that because one thinks one exists; this leaves each of us with
his/her own mind (Blackburn, 1999: 49). Premise two states that we can and do
know that other people have minds, this can be based on the interactions we have
with other people. The fact that someone else can love you back and you can feel it
makes it possible that they are connected to your mind in the mental realm which can
only mean that they do have a mind. Based on the fact that it is difficult to
conceptualise that one may be the only existent being makes it open to believe that
one is not the only one existent other people do exists and therefore they have minds.
Premise two therefore is valid which diminishes what is presented in premise one
about Cartesian Dualism that we can never know that other people have minds.
Premise three therefore lawfully, following from premise one and two that with the
validity presented in previous premises, states that Cartesian Dualism is false.
The reason why it can be believed that the Zombie argument is true is that we can
know that other people have minds based on experiences, having mutual feelings as
other people and same reactions as other people. This shows that they are conscious
and they do have minds because their reactions are triggered by their mental events
which determine how they should react.
Sonia Sotomayor Independent
I think that Sonia Sotomayor had a very independent, and rough life. She had a tough
life because she had to inject herself because she had diabetes. She also went through
poverty, and her alcoholic father died when she was young. Her mother was a nurse at
a hospital, which was the only way they were making money. When she became older
she was discriminated because she was a latina that wanted to be a Judge. But
sotomayor overcame discrimination by reporting and the ignoring the situation.
Sotomayor then finally became one of the most supreme, and superior judge in the
U.S. Although Sotomayor went Through tough times before she became a judge, she
had an independent life with No one to take care of her. Although she was

George Eastman
The Father of Film An American icon is a person of great importance or
contribution to a particular industry, someone who sets asides difficulties in their
lives to achieve absolute excellence in their field. George Eastman can be defined
as a true example of an American icon. George Eastman was born on July 12, 1854
in Waterville, New York. George Eastman is known as a pioneer in photography.
Eastman began supporting his family at the age of 14, dropping out of school and
becoming an office boy looking to support his family. Later on in the late 1870s he
began to experiment with his new hobby of photography. Eastman devised a means
of coating glass plates with a gelatin emulsion ( George Eastman 1). Eastman

Eastman s work continued until the age of 77 when he felt he had successfully
accomplished his goal to endow the everyday man with the gift of photography.
On March 14, 1932, Eastman left a note to his loved ones saying My work is done.
Why wait? then the photography pioneer, took out his pistol and fired a single
gunshot through his heart which was parallel to shooting the heart of photography
(Blitz 1). Many photography icons will continue to emerge over time but the
foundation of these icons are built around George Eastman. Roll film is used in
many different cameras even today, a basis that was founded by George Eastman.
Companies today like Canon and Nikon have based their work off of Eastman s.
The modern day Digital camera made by Canon and Nikon were inspired by George
Eastman s original digital camera. Through the use of his new ideas and inventions,
which involved his company Eastman Kodak, the invention of roll film, and the very
first camera made for the average person sold at one dollar, Eastman successfully

The Help Movie Analysis
The Help Review Racism was and still is a very prevalent problem, especially in
African American communities. The Help, a novel by Kathryn Stockett, represented
racism in the 1960s very well. In 2011, the novel was adapted into a film by Tate
Taylor. The Help is a touching and well written film, that is in some ways better than
the book. In general, the filmThe Helpwould not have been as successful as it was if
it did not have a solid plot line. The movie revolves around the racial issues tackled
by a white twenty year old lady named Eugenia Phelan, known by her friends as
Skeeter, a black maid named Aibileen, and another black maid named Minny. After
being raised in Jackson, Mississippi, an incredibly segregated city during that time,
Skeeter decided to write a book of interviews revealing how life as an African
American was at that time. Even though she was going against social norms and was
eventually outcast by all of her friends, her courage and determination pushed her to
continue writing until the book was published. The plot of the movie was thoroughly
thought out and realistically showed both sides perspectives in Jackson. Although
the plot of the movie was very suitable, the plot of the book was arguably better.
There were a few minor details that added to the characterdevelopment and allowed
the book to be more interesting. For example, in the novel, Celia did not tell
Minny about her pregnancy, which added to the suspense when she had the still
born baby. Although both of the plots were fascinating, the novel s plot was
slightly more comprehensive than the film s, making it stand out more.
Furthermore, the set of The Help played a key role in the storytelling of the movie.
Fancy cars lined the streets and whites only signs dotted the walls. The set spoke
for itself; the humble, squalid homes of The Help paled in comparison to the
extravagance of the white women s homes. They provided an obvious example of
the inequality that took place during the story. Simply put, the hard working help had
much less than the privileged white women, and the sets allowed us to quite easily
visualize the situation. In the film, the racial differences in Jackson do not need to be
described; we can
The Effects Of Organized Sports On Children
Organized Sports are Good to Children As the time pass, and as the technology is
advancing rapidly, the tradition of playing outside is diminished rapidly. Many
people are concentrating on their electronic devices in ages early as three. Sports
is the most effective way that children can express their joyful and brilliance. It
prepares children with advantages of physical activities, confidence, and
enjoyment. Participating in organized sports when kids are young arise the greater
results. There are several reasons to support that organized sports are good to
children. First, organized sports are good for children because it improves social
skills. Kids who are participating in team sports have full of confidence.

The Dark Horse By James Napier Robertson
In today s society people tend to hear the word bipolar and automatically assume
crazy, nutcase or weird. In the film Dark Horse directed by James Napier
Robertson, we could see how Genesis Potini broke all stereotypical thoughts of
having the mental illness of bipolar. Throughout all these trials that Genesis went
through he always came out on the other side. This made me wonder why having a
bipolar illness is a terrible illness to have in life. My hypothesis was that people
who suffer from bipolar live terrible lives. To test this my hypothesis I came up with
the following questions: How is bipolar illness treated in New Zealand?, what causes
bipolar illness? and how is bipolar viewed in the Tongan culture.
What is the cause of bipolar illness ?
Most of my resources agreed with my hypothesis by stating that bipolar suffers do
have terrible lives by not knowing the exact cause of bipolar. There are some
presumable causes of bipolar which is thought to be caused by faulty genes that
have been passed down from generation to generation. (Dr. Nick Stafford Dr.John
H. Noseworthy, 2012,2011) My first source, emphasizes that there is no exact cause
of bipolar illness but there is a lot of factors that could be considered
(John.Noseworthy,2012). This also links to my second resource which stated that an
aspect resulting to bipolar was to do with the number of faulty genes in the nucleus
carried on from generation to generation forming early stages of bipolar. Therefore
Neil Gaiman s Stardust
Neil Gaiman s Stardust is known to be a charming fairy tale that is within the
tradition of The Neverending Story and The Princess Bride. Neil Gaiman tells the
story of Tristan thorn who is love with a girl considered to be the prettiest in the
town. Tristan makes a foolish promise to the girl by telling her that he would find
the falling star that they had watched flashes across the night sky (Gaiman 1999).
The girls promise that she would marry Tristan and this motivates him to go out and
search for it by leaving his home of Wall. He heads out to a perilous land where
most things are not as they seem to appear (Gaiman 1999). Gaiman present his
fanciful wit, wildly imaginative plots and sterling prose which are manifested in
Stardust. Gaiman has used some silver tongued narration which vividly brings

However, this is not the case when Gaiman is concerned as he is able to create a
successful sparkling fairy tale within Stardust. Giaman reworks the commonly
understood fairy tale using some slight wink towards the readers through the use
of beautiful prose, a mesh of ethereal and grotesque and some likable characters.
Gaiman is able to produce a likable adult fairy tale book through mixing of
romance, humor, airy fairiness, and grisly realism within a tight little plot.
However, to get a feel of all this mixes up of different entities within the book, the
reader need to read about two thirds of the book in order to get a feel of what
Gaiman is trying to present to the reader (Campbell Niffenegger 2003). This make
the book quite a confusing book at the start as the reader might mot well understand
the true nature of the book. Hence for readers who are always expectant to find a
catchy topic of element within the first pages of the book, this book might have some

Giovanni Pico Della Mirandola Essay
At a time when humanist thinkers occupied themselves with determining man s
position in the world, Giovanni Pico della Mirandola, in the 15th century Oration on
the Dignity of Man, asserted that man is master of both his dignity and destiny, and
there was no limit to what scientists may achieve as long as they glorify God in the
end. World history teaches that, though scientists might begin research with the intent
of glorifying God , the rush to advance in scienceand technology and the fever to
uncover the wonders of nature result in hubris and the abandonment of God and the
subsequent exaltation of human beings God like properties. Scientists throughout the
centuries have held differing opinions about the limits humans should impose on
science: whereas Pico della Mirandolabelieved science was to be used for the
glorification of God, but never for the imposition of man on God s will; Sir Francis
Bacon, writing 150 years later, believed that any scientific experimentation or means
which justified the end goal of human perfection were acceptable, even if they
interfered with God s creations. In the 21st century, ethicists and scientists from
around the world propose that science should be allowed to continue with broad

Testicular Cancer

Abstract
Testicular cancer in one of the most common cancers in young men between the ages
of 15 and 35, but the disease also occurs in other age groups. All men should be
aware of the signs and symptoms, the causes of the disease, and the treatment.
Compared with other cancers, testicular cancer is rare. Testicular cancer is highly
treatable, even when cancer has spread beyond the testicle. Depending on the type
and stage of testicular cancer, you may receive one of several treatments, or a
combination. Regular testicular self examinations can help identify growths early,

When a testicle descends normally, it moves from the lower abdomen into the
scrotum. If a testicle does not descend normally, surgery is often performed to
correct the problem. It has even been said that the risk of testicular cancer may by
higher in men infected with HIV, but the evidence is weak. Although the exact
causes of testicular cancer are not known, there are several predisposing factors that
may place some men higher risk. Some of them include past medical history of
undescended testicle, mumps orchitis, or previous testicular cancer on the other
testicle. Frequently, testicular tumors are noted after an episode of trauma; however,
trauma is not believed to be a causative or predisposing factor. Testicular cancer is
not contagious, no one can catch it form another person. Exactly what cause this
disease is unknown and seldom can it be explained why one person gets it while
another does not. Signs and Symptoms Testicular cancer has many signs and

A significant shrinking of a testicle
A change in the consistency of a testicle (hardness)
A feeling of heaviness in the scrotum
A dull ache in the lower abdomen or in the groin

My Love For Reading And Writing
I am no gluttonous reader, but a lazy English student who finds the process of
reading and writing to be quite tedious. Months at a stretch where I don t flip a page
is uncommon. My displeasure from books was driven off of how much interest I
have and the content I choose to read. A lack of interest makes it difficult to initiate
and finish the reading. It also makes me less attentive as I am prone to distractions.
Consequently, I wound up not understanding a single thing I just read and my writing
becomes unorganized, not knowing where I left off. After all, interest sparks
motivation, and no motivation equals zero attention for the book, hence I m unable
to follow the storyline. When deficient in inspiration, I m restrained from writing
passionately. Furthermore, my interest plays a role in choosing a content I enjoy
reading. Not all texts are equally challenging, so the selection of my content declines
improving in English.
Subtitles from shows in another language are what I relish because I appreciate the
storyline from animations and dramas. I prefer reading subtitles over listening to the
English dubbed (having the show translated), because I have a harder time listening
than reading. I find that my love for reading subtitles helped me read a lot faster,
making that my strength. In addition to my strengths, when stumbling upon words
that I have no understanding of, I have a good habit of using context clues to define
troublesome words. Conversely, my enjoyment does

In an eastern Mediterranean province, a group of pious individuals pray before the

Religious icons, or images, may include paintings, murals, portraits, or mosaics,
which, in the seventh through ninth centuries, commonly depicted Christ, the
likeness of a saint, or a particular scene from scripture. The dispute over the use of
icons and religious imagery in the Church, and the nature of this use amongst the
laity, began in the Eastern Roman Empire, or Byzantine Empire, in the late seventh
century, with the movement against icons, or the iconoclasm movement, reaching its
height in the mid ninth century. The use of Icons in Christian practice began in the
Coptic Church in Egypt, and spread throughout the Byzantium Empire, developing
into a vital form of religious education and communication for the laity throughout
the East. Those who opposed religious iconography, did so on the basis of
scripture, as the practice of icon use was clearly condemned in Old Testament text.
As the use of every religious icon could not be explicitly regulated, it was difficult
for religious and imperial authorities to determine how such icons were used by the
public. Thus, as it was unknown whether the laity prayed before or to the icons in
their community, all religious icons were removed to prevent the risk of unorthodoxy
and the potential practice of idolatry (Brubaker et al., 2011).

Manga was first introduced as a cartoon magazine that was created and published in
Japan. In the past, manga had used graphic illustrations to show global issues and
bring awareness to it, it was usually a short comic strip that was located in a small
section in the local Japanese newspaper. In 1947 an actual manga series was
published. Manga had not only gained fame and publicity, it had also paved the way
for other manga to gain popularity too. In time the world of manga had expanded to
many different genres, influencing the economic and culture of Japan

As stated previously, that reading manga influences how teenagers think and act.
Reading manga is often being used as a pastime for teenagers as the graphic
illustrations in manga often captivate their attention. By having teenager read or

Gas Line Repair Fort Worth
For household s that depend on gas for heating, cooking and hot water, safe gas
lines are essential. If you are not a professional trained in gas line repair in Fort
Worth, trying to work with a gas line can be a dangerous and costly mistake.
Gas is a clean and efficient fuel that is relatively safe, but gas line leaks are extremely
dangerous, and can be deadly. The risks of a gas leakare suffocation, explosion and
fire. When repair or installation is provided they require specialized equipment to test
for leaks, equipment a Benjamin Franklin licensed plumber uses routinely.
For the homeowner, the best means to determine if you have a gas line leak is by
the odor. An additive is added to naturally odorless natural gasthat is similar to rotten
eggs. The scent is added to help people identify a gas leak. If you detect the odor of
gas, get everyone out of the house, and when you are safely away from your home,
and the odor of gas, call 911 and your gas provider. Once the gas has been cut off,
and the home declared safe to enter, contact Benjamin Franklin Plumbing for gas

How Sports Have Affected My Life
Many people do not consider athletics as anything more than an outlet for energy or
a social activity, but from my personal experience of how sports have impacted my
life I can not help but disagree. As a diver, I feel there is no better piece of me to
share than the identity I have taken on from the sport. What started as a summer
activity to stay in shape, divinghas changed the course of life forever and made me
the person I am today.
Going from a young kid who could not even do flip to a consistently ranked State
and National diver, the sport has shown me the essence of hard work. In 2012, the
London Olympics dominated coverage that summer. Every day I would spend time
watching the incredible divers from around the world compete for gold
Adivasi In India
Adivasis are the indigenous population of India who predominantly depend on
forests for their livelihood and identity (references). India has the largest Adivasi
(indigenous) population in the world accounting to 104 million (8.2% of the national
population), yet it took government of India nearly 60 years to acknowledge the
historical relevance of forests for Adivasicommunities through ForestRights
Act,2006 (references). The disregard for Adivasi societies is sometimes reflective
even on community name assigned by the mainstream non Adivasis. For example,
one of the tribal groups in Kerala are known by the name Adiyas (ആദിമ root
word which in Malayalam means slave). Assigning such community names by the
non Adivasis were some of the linguistic illustrations of Adivasi subjugation and
dominance (references). Adivasi are primarily forest dwellers, grazers, agriculturists,
laborers and reside mountain and hilly areas adjoining forest areas (references).
Contrary to the mainstream Hindu communities, Adivasi are egalitarian group
however, they are known to have strict gender roles and responsibilities. Women in
Adivasi communities share accounts of a mutualistic relationship with forests and
natural resources developed through their material and non material pursuits
(references). However, colonial exploitation and historical alienation from ancestral
land has impacted the socio economic balance of the community with many of the
human development indicators spiraling downward
Coming Of Age Short Story
What is coming of age? In broadest terms, a transition from childhood to adulthood
defines coming of age, but how can a literary character grow up in a fifteen page
short story or even a 200 page graphic novel? The protagonist usually reaches an
epiphany and discovers something that taints the naivitГ© and innocence
associated with being a child. For instance, Omovo, the Nigerian protagonist of In
the Shadow of War by Ben Okri, follows a mysterious woman into the woods. His
realization occurs when he discovers the horrible truth of war; Nigerian soldiers
assault her. On the other hand, Marji from Persepolis by Marjane Satrapi is more
slowly exposed different aspects war over the course of the novel and eventually
leaves her home country, signaling a coming of age. Both Omovo and Marji
discover the horrible truths of war during their story and lose their innocence;
these stories reveal that a traumatic event triggers a coming of age. In the Shadow
of War by follows the story of a young boy, Omovo. Omovo follows a woman into
the forest; he had previously been instructed to tell the soldiers upon seeing her.
Omovo walks by dead animals in the river. He follows the woman into the forest,
who turns out to be helping women and children. However, the Nigerian soldiers
seize the woman and begin to attack her: Her head was bald, and disfigured with a
deep corrugation. There was a livid gash along the side of her face... She fell on her
face and lay still (Okri 57). During
William Shakespeare s The Tempest
William Shakespare s The Tempest introduces a dynamic and colorful protagonist,
Prospero. Throughout the play, he establishes himself as a multi dimensional
character. Prospero s interaction with other characters in the play is vital in
uncovering the many different sides of his personality. Prospero displays a different
part of his personality when he interacts with Caliban, Ariel, and Ferdinand, all of
whom are ploys in his master plan to regain his crown. Prosperoassimilates his
personality to reflect those who he is interacting with in order to manipulate them
into helping him fulfill his own agenda of reclaiming Milanfrom his brother. Prospero

Prospero s interaction with Caliban may at first be seen as cruel and inhumane.
Neverthless, Prospero does not denounce Caliban without reason and even teaches
Caliban a helpful skill, the skill of language. Prospero s relationship with Caliban
shows the readers the cruel side of Prospero while simultaneously depicting his
reasonable side. This interaction is similar to the interaction between colonists
and the New World natives. Colonists would arrive on new and unknown lands and
befriend the natives to gain knowledge about the new terrain. But, once the
colonists had no use of the indigenous people, they were enslaved and used to the
advantage of the mother country. Another character that Prospero has an
authoritative relationship with is the spirit of Ariel. Nevertheless, Prospero s
relationship with Ariel is less brutal than his relationship with Caliban. Prospero
also commands Ariel to do things for him that will make it easier for him to regain
his crown, however, Prospero gives Ariel an incentive for complying with his
rules. Throughout the play, Prospero promises Ariel that after he gets his dukedom
back, Ariel will be set free to do as he pleases on the island. While Prospero does
abide by his promise in the end, he strings Ariel along for a long time before actually
following through with his word. Prospero keeps adding another task

Leadership in Thoughts from the Tao te Ching and The Qualities of a Prince
Lao Tzu s Thoughts from the Tao te Ching and Machiavelli s The Qualities of a
Prince both have the ultimate goal of making better leaders. The tactics that each
writer chooses to present as a guide for the leader are almost opposite of each other.
Today s American government would benefit from a combination of the two
extreme ideas. Lao Tzu s laissez faire attitude towards the economy, as well as his
small scale, home defense military is appealing to a liberal person. Machiavelli s
attitude towards miserliness and lower taxes, while being always prepared for war,
would appeal to a conservative person. The writers are in agreement on some issues,
such as ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A hated leader would invite a rebellion that would try to remove him from power.
On the other hand, a leader should not be loved. Showing too much compassion
will make the people think you are weak, and he would permit disorders to
continue. Machiavelli urges the leader to always be personally armed, and
preparing for war, even in peace time. The leader must continually train his body
and mind for combat. He believes that people are fickle and greedy, so they will
take whatever you give them. Ultimately, he believes the leader should do and say
anything to keep the people happy, but when it comes down to it, what makes them
happy may not be best for the state as a whole. An even mixture of both of these
theories is the best for America. Something that our leaders in the United States in
past years aimed for is middle of the road politics, appealing to both liberals and
conservatives. Although I do not believe Machiavelli s honesty policy would go
over too well in the United States, I am sure his tactics are used by politicians in
creating an appearance that people want to see. A good combination for our
government today is for the president to not be personally armed, but have
protection. He does not constantly train for war, but has an appointed official
dedicated for that purpose. In contrast to both writers, I believe the American people
today are neither inherently good nor evil exclusively, but we all want
Eminent Domain Essay example
Eminent Domain is the government s right under the Fifth Amendment to acquire
privately owned property for public use to build a road, a school or a courthouse.
Under eminent domain, the government buys your property, paying you what s
determined to be fair market value. In recent years, there has been much debate over
the appropriateness of eminent domain, and further its legality in specific instances.
The government is allowed to seize personal propertyfor private use if they can
prove that doing it will serve what s called the public good . There have been many
cases brought up against the government in attempt to regulate the government s
power in seizing private property. There is a political push for reform to the eminent

ft for homes in a specific neighborhood. In an area with older houses, many of these
qualifications may not be met, which would in turn classify certain houses as
blighted. This does not imply that the homeowners have failed to maintain there
property properly, but infers that the area can be used for a higher and better use.
Amongst topics of conversation regarding eminent domain, one will find
regulatory usage of land, seizing of land for public use, and the most controversial
of late, the seizing of land from a private owner and giving it to a more
economically beneficial, often politically connected private owner. Kelo v New
London (US 2005), has prompted dozens of proposals to reform eminent domain
practices legislatively. Most of these proposals would restrict the use of eminent
domain to transfer property from one private individual to another. It is one thing to
have a city claim property to further the development of the city by building roads,
schools, etc. It is another thing altogether for the government to seize a property so
as to gain money from higher taxation. For many years, however, courts have read
the public use restraint broadly, enabling governments to take property from one
owner, often small and powerless, and transfer it to another, often large and politically
connected, all in the name of economic development, urban renewal, or job creation.
With the media s focus on cases like Kelo v New London, the public is

April and Cheryl Raintree s life. My essay is about how April and Cheryl Raintree

young children who are taken from their parents and placed in homes with new

April was dark skinned. April doesn t like her nationality because she doesn t like

competitors. Medtronic also has subsidiary companies under them that also produce
medical equipment that will boost their general revenue annually. Covidien is one
of the many companies that are a division of Medtronic that will help to increase

there are also some products or components of a product purchased from other

continue their road to success with little to no loss in revenue. These items are
usually set at a lower cost outside of the United States with a higher quantity which
produce a greater revenue. There is always a demand for medical supplies for
The Major Causes Of The Bosnian Civil War
Since the end of World War Two, no conflict in Europe was as barbarous as the
Civil War that took place in Bosnia, formerly known as Yugoslavia. In 1992,
Bosnians officially declared their independence from Yugoslavia erupting the whole
territory into a brutal conflict that left nearly 100,000 dead and 2.2 million displaced
people. This disastrous ethnic cleansing involved the breakup of Yugoslavia into six
smaller states including: Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, and
Macedonia. Upon this division of Yugoslavia, the Bosnians and Croats were able to
gain independence from the Serbsthrough international backing and militaristic
strategic advantages from organizations such as the UN and NATO. The main cause

along these areas. Reference the attached map of Yugoslavia in the Cited Sources

perfect example of how all the ethnicities were spread out across the region and not
simply contained to one area allowing for the violent ethnic fault lines. Along with
the historical perspective of ethnic tensions causing nationalism in Yugoslavia, new
evidence from historians have shown that the Bosnian Civil War was not a one time
deal in the area. This had been considered a very active region, in the case of violence,
during the 20th century making some historians to think that this conflict was bound
to happen as it had occurred various other times in the past. Historically, another
reason for the ethnic tensions occurred due to the fall of Communism. Although this
is somewhat indirect, different ethnicities side with different governmental views
causing deeper tensions to rise after the vacuum of the major world power in the
Eastern Europe region. As stated earlier, Slobodan Milosevic believed he could push
his agenda without any international policing of his actions due to the recent fall of
communism and power vacuum. On this note, governmental influences are also
another way that nationalism caused the Bosnian Civil War. Next, governmental
influences, in not only the physical
Ethical Ethics And Ethical Behavior Essay
Ethical conduct is a representation of leader s self expression of who they really are,
and with past multi billion dollar companies reported committing unethical and
unmoral acts of behavior, it is imperative that leaders fully comprehend the
ramifications related to their unethical behavior. Furthermore, an ethical virtue
demonstrated by a leader paves the foundation for their followers to behave with the
same ethical behavior established within the organization thus establishing a
followers commitment to their constitution. Additionally, the rise in corporate ethical

The relationship between Cecilia and Mortimer Delvile is one of the most
frustrating parts of the novel. Delvile is an indecisive, self centered man who does

initially confesses to her that he loves her, then ignores her just long enough that she
is able to move on from him, then comes back into her life under the pretense of
friendship, and then he leaves again. His flippant disregard for her feelings takes a
toll on Cecilia as she tries to pinpoint what kind of relationship they actually have.

The scene comments on how men often innately brush aside female concerns
because they are affected by them, nor do they want to take the time to understand
where women are coming from. Not to mention, the secret wedding is only on the
table in the first place because Delvile cannot bring himself to take Cecilia s surname
as his own, therefore taking on a traditionally female

But it is necessary to emphasize that the arrival of the Spaniards brought with it
misfortune. According to Alonso de Zorita in his article Why The Indians Are Dying
argues that In central, according to one estimate, the indigenous population declined
by about 85 percent in the century after the military conquest. (122) This help to
understand more about the consequences of the arrival of the Spanish and how
destructive and powerful was the Spain with the now current Mexico. The other
article that needs to be analyzed is The Colonial Latifundio by Enrique Florescano,
he is his article says that The large landholding, and its tendency to expand and

Mexican life and politics until it is virtual destruction during the 1920s and 1930s.
(131) This quote shows that for a long period the Indians continue to be discriminated

with false trails and clues as to his identity.
We All Scream for Ice Cream
We All Scream For Ice Cream Who in their right mind could say no to the irresistible
taste of ice cream? Being one of my most favorite snacks, I will admit that a carton of
ice cream never stays in the fridge for more than a week. I can remember always
having ice cream as a very special treat when I was younger, mostly chocolate and
vanilla. Nowadays there are so many flavors of ice cream from simple chocolate to
cola flavored. Ice cream may not be as popular as you think it is so here are some
fun facts the show just how much us American s love this simple dessert. Currently,
ice cream is America s second most favorite dessert according to a 1997 Nielsen
survey. About 2.3 billion dollars of ice cream is sold in the America s... Show more

Commercial production finally began in North America in Baltimore, Maryland,
1851, by Jacob Fussell, now known as the father of the American ice cream
industry. In 1926 the first commercially successful continuous process freezer was
perfected. This continuous freezer, developed by Clarence Vogt, has allowed the
ice cream industry to become a mass producer of its product. As you can see in this
shortened history of ice cream, many names have contributed to the great success of
this dessert. So many people have contributed to making ice cream the perfect
dessert. It seems as though every day there is a new version of ice cream hitting the
markets so it is no wonder that ice cream remains our second favorite dessert year
after year. Works Cited Funderberg, Anne Cooper. Chocolate, Strawberry, and Vanilla:

EDST essay Schema theory and cognitive development Understanding the
implications and obstacles of schema theory is integral to the appropriate
application of cognitive development procedures for teaching.1 Knowledge
acquisition requires that teaching methodologies are chosen with consideration
towards differing cognitive and schematic variables 2such as personality
typologies, developmental stages and dispositional tendencies .(Altbach, Arnold,
King, 2014, p.296) .By looking at a variety of influences a child s environment and
previous experience has on cognitive development we can begin to understand how
catering for these differences positively impacts teaching in a diverse classroom.3
As described by (Bruning, R., Kaplan et al. 2011, p.48). Schemata mental
frameworks that we use to organise knowledge4, are fundamental to information
processing (Kaplan et al., 2011). For example, a kindergarten class incorporates
children from many different backgrounds with many different levels of
understandings of education, formal and informal. Some may have been to
preschool whilst others may not have experienced any form of structured
educational learning before. As such they re schemata or frameworks for processing
new information vary widely from student to student based on their previous
experiences 5 When a class first learns how to wash theyre hands, those students

In fact this statement may even be under emphasizing the control and absolute power that males wield across all levels of Chinese society. Of course, where their power initially comes from though, is through the family or termed differently the jia . It is this extended or ideal family that cultivates the consistent patrilineal form of control/descent and dictates that residence in said jia is primarily patrilocal. That being said, what I hope to be able to create over the following pages is a clearer understanding of the ideal (Chinese) system of control. This ideal system, based on ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... I will return to this point later, but before going anywhere further it is best to ask why a son was so important in the first place? There is, of course, a myriad of strong reasons, one reason being that surnames were passed down through the male line. This process meant that a male child was needed to take the surname of their father not their mother. Meaning that surname in China was integral to creating a kinship system, which placed heavy emphasis on male superiority. It was through this handed down surname, that the massive kinship systems such as a lineage or a clan could be generated and held together over generations and generations. Hereditary surnames were also the primary form of hierarchical family organization, and were inherently needed to practice ancestor worship. This type of worship, through a patrilineal method, was exercised even after kinship members had long since been deceased. The handing of the surname to a father s son (s), then meant that he now existed to continue not only his present family but the extended family that came before him, and the jia that would surface in the future. Baker s use of a rope metaphor works well here, depicting a rope (standing for male heirs and descendents) which stretches back into the past and forward into the future. The rope at any one time may be thicker or thinner according to the number of strands (jia) or fibers (male individuals) which exist, but so long as one fiber remains the rope is there....That is

Therefore one can trust that because one thinks one exists; this leaves each of us with his/her own mind (Blackburn, 1999: 49). Premise two states that we can and do know that other people have minds, this can be based on the interactions we have with other people. The fact that someone else can love you back and you can feel it makes it possible that they are connected to your mind in the mental realm which can only mean that they do have a mind. Based on the fact that it is difficult to conceptualise that one may be the only existent being makes it open to believe that one is not the only one existent other people do exists and therefore they have minds. Premise two therefore is valid which diminishes what is presented in premise one about Cartesian Dualism that we can never know that other people have minds. Premise three therefore lawfully, following from premise one and two that with the validity presented in previous premises, states that Cartesian Dualism is false. The reason why it can be believed that the Zombie argument is true is that we can know that other people have minds based on experiences, having mutual feelings as other people and same reactions as other people. This shows that they are conscious and they do have minds because their reactions are triggered by their mental events which determine how they should react.

  • 10. The Help Movie Analysis The Help Review Racism was and still is a very prevalent problem, especially in African American communities. The Help, a novel by Kathryn Stockett, represented racism in the 1960s very well. In 2011, the novel was adapted into a film by Tate Taylor. The Help is a touching and well written film, that is in some ways better than the book. In general, the filmThe Helpwould not have been as successful as it was if it did not have a solid plot line. The movie revolves around the racial issues tackled by a white twenty year old lady named Eugenia Phelan, known by her friends as Skeeter, a black maid named Aibileen, and another black maid named Minny. After being raised in Jackson, Mississippi, an incredibly segregated city during that time, Skeeter decided to write a book of interviews revealing how life as an African American was at that time. Even though she was going against social norms and was eventually outcast by all of her friends, her courage and determination pushed her to continue writing until the book was published. The plot of the movie was thoroughly thought out and realistically showed both sides perspectives in Jackson. Although the plot of the movie was very suitable, the plot of the book was arguably better. There were a few minor details that added to the characterdevelopment and allowed the book to be more interesting. For example, in the novel, Celia did not tell Minny about her pregnancy, which added to the suspense when she had the still born baby. Although both of the plots were fascinating, the novel s plot was slightly more comprehensive than the film s, making it stand out more. Furthermore, the set of The Help played a key role in the storytelling of the movie. Fancy cars lined the streets and whites only signs dotted the walls. The set spoke for itself; the humble, squalid homes of The Help paled in comparison to the extravagance of the white women s homes. They provided an obvious example of the inequality that took place during the story. Simply put, the hard working help had much less than the privileged white women, and the sets allowed us to quite easily visualize the situation. In the film, the racial differences in Jackson do not need to be described; we can

In the film Dark Horse directed by James Napier Robertson, we could see how Genesis Potini broke all stereotypical thoughts of having the mental illness of bipolar. Throughout all these trials that Genesis went through he always came out on the other side. This made me wonder why having a bipolar illness is a terrible illness to have in life. My hypothesis was that people who suffer from bipolar live terrible lives. To test this my hypothesis I came up with the following questions: How is bipolar illness treated in New Zealand?, what causes bipolar illness? and how is bipolar viewed in the Tongan culture. What is the cause of bipolar illness ? Most of my resources agreed with my hypothesis by stating that bipolar suffers do have terrible lives by not knowing the exact cause of bipolar. There are some presumable causes of bipolar which is thought to be caused by faulty genes that have been passed down from generation to generation. (Dr. Nick Stafford Dr.John H. Noseworthy, 2012,2011) My first source, emphasizes that there is no exact cause of bipolar illness but there is a lot of factors that could be considered (John.Noseworthy,2012). This also links to my second resource which stated that an aspect resulting to bipolar was to do with the number of faulty genes in the nucleus carried on from generation to generation forming early stages of bipolar. Giovanni Pico Della Mirandola Essay At a time when humanist thinkers occupied themselves with determining man s position in the world, Giovanni Pico della Mirandola, in the 15th century Oration on the Dignity of Man, asserted that man is master of both his dignity and destiny, and there was no limit to what scientists may achieve as long as they glorify God in the end. World history teaches that, though scientists might begin research with the intent of glorifying God , the rush to advance in scienceand technology and the fever to uncover the wonders of nature result in hubris and the abandonment of God and the subsequent exaltation of human beings God like properties. Scientists throughout the centuries have held differing opinions about the limits humans should impose on science: whereas Pico della Mirandolabelieved science was to be used for the glorification of God, but never for the imposition of man on God s will; Sir Francis Bacon, writing 150 years later, believed that any scientific experimentation or means which justified the end goal of human perfection were acceptable, even if they interfered with God s creations. The dispute over the use of icons and religious imagery in the Church, and the nature of this use amongst the laity, began in the Eastern Roman Empire, or Byzantine Empire, in the late seventh century, with the movement against icons, or the iconoclasm movement, reaching its height in the mid ninth century. The use of Icons in Christian practice began in the Coptic Church in Egypt, and spread throughout the Byzantium Empire, developing into a vital form of religious education and communication for the laity throughout the East. Those who opposed religious iconography, did so on the basis of scripture, as the practice of icon use was clearly condemned in Old Testament text. As the use of every religious icon could not be explicitly regulated, it was difficult for religious and imperial authorities to determine how such icons were used by the public. Thus, as it was unknown whether the laity prayed before or to the icons in their community, all religious icons were removed to prevent the risk of unorthodoxy and the potential practice of idolatry (Brubaker et al., 2011). Colonists would arrive on new and unknown lands and befriend the natives to gain knowledge about the new terrain. But, once the colonists had no use of the indigenous people, they were enslaved and used to the advantage of the mother country. Another character that Prospero has an authoritative relationship with is the spirit of Ariel. Nevertheless, Prospero s relationship with Ariel is less brutal than his relationship with Caliban. Prospero also commands Ariel to do things for him that will make it easier for him to regain his crown, however, Prospero gives Ariel an incentive for complying with his rules. Throughout the play, Prospero promises Ariel that after he gets his dukedom back, Ariel will be set free to do as he pleases on the island. While Prospero does abide by his promise in the end, he strings Ariel along for a long time before actually following through with his word. Prospero keeps adding another task

Leadership in Thoughts from the Tao te Ching and The Qualities of a Prince Lao Tzu s Thoughts from the Tao te Ching and Machiavelli s The Qualities of a Prince both have the ultimate goal of making better leaders. The tactics that each writer chooses to present as a guide for the leader are almost opposite of each other. Today s American government would benefit from a combination of the two extreme ideas. Lao Tzu s laissez faire attitude towards the economy, as well as his small scale, home defense military is appealing to a liberal person. Machiavelli s attitude towards miserliness and lower taxes, while being always prepared for war, would appeal to a conservative person. The writers are in agreement on some issues, such as ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... A hated leader would invite a rebellion that would try to remove him from power. On the other hand, a leader should not be loved. Showing too much compassion will make the people think you are weak, and he would permit disorders to continue. Machiavelli urges the leader to always be personally armed, and preparing for war, even in peace time. The leader must continually train his body and mind for combat. He believes that people are fickle and greedy, so they will take whatever you give them. Ultimately, he believes the leader should do and say anything to keep the people happy, but when it comes down to it, what makes them happy may not be best for the state as a whole. An even mixture of both of these theories is the best for America. Something that our leaders in the United States in past years aimed for is middle of the road politics, appealing to both liberals and conservatives. Although I do not believe Machiavelli s honesty policy would go over too well in the United States, I am sure his tactics are used by politicians in creating an appearance that people want to see. A good combination for our government today is for the president to not be personally armed, but have protection. He does not constantly train for war, but has an appointed official dedicated for that purpose. In contrast to both writers, I believe the American people today are neither inherently good nor evil exclusively, but we all want

Under eminent domain, the government buys your property, paying you what s determined to be fair market value. In recent years, there has been much debate over the appropriateness of eminent domain, and further its legality in specific instances. In an area with older houses, many of these qualifications may not be met, which would in turn classify certain houses as blighted. This does not imply that the homeowners have failed to maintain there property properly, but infers that the area can be used for a higher and better use. Amongst topics of conversation regarding eminent domain, one will find regulatory usage of land, seizing of land for public use, and the most controversial of late, the seizing of land from a private owner and giving it to a more economically beneficial, often politically connected private owner. Kelo v New London (US 2005), has prompted dozens of proposals to reform eminent domain practices legislatively. Most of these proposals would restrict the use of eminent domain to transfer property from one private individual to another. It is one thing to have a city claim property to further the development of the city by building roads, schools, etc. It is another thing altogether for the government to seize a property so as to gain money from higher taxation. For many years, however, courts have read the public use restraint broadly, enabling governments to take property from one owner, often small and powerless, and transfer it to another, often large and politically connected, all in the name of economic development, urban renewal, or job creation. With the media s focus on cases like Kelo v New London, the public is

This had been considered a very active region, in the case of violence, during the 20th century making some historians to think that this conflict was bound to happen as it had occurred various other times in the past. EDST essay Schema theory and cognitive development Understanding the implications and obstacles of schema theory is integral to the appropriate application of cognitive development procedures for teaching.1 Knowledge acquisition requires that teaching methodologies are chosen with consideration towards differing cognitive and schematic variables 2such as personality typologies, developmental stages and dispositional tendencies .(Altbach, Arnold, King, 2014, p.296) .By looking at a variety of influences a child s environment and previous experience has on cognitive development we can begin to understand how catering for these differences positively impacts teaching in a diverse classroom.3 As described by (Bruning, R., Kaplan et al. 2011, p.48). Schemata mental frameworks that we use to organise knowledge4, are fundamental to information processing (Kaplan et al., 2011). For example, a kindergarten class incorporates children from many different backgrounds with many different levels of understandings of education, formal and informal. Some may have been to preschool whilst others may not have experienced any form of structured educational learning before.
